what a winner squid!
Maz - yeah i think i might run that by him. and then he can give his notice whilst on annual leave. i wonder if he can do that?
I used to think when it came to work, DHs happiness is more important than money, but that was before he was unemployed and we had no money and could barely pay the bills. Then neither of us was happy - we were just stressed and angry about the situation we were in. Of course if its a choice to leave a job where he is not happy to go to one that will make him happier, well that's different. DH did that before we had Matilda - left a high paying job in the mines to come home and work for a lot less. But we are both happier now, albeit a bit less well off.
Last November I found out I was pg and not long after DH quit his job because he was so miserable and they really did treat him like dirt, similar situation where they would not let him advance as they said they would etc, and generally just pigs.
He;s never had trouble before getting work, he works in I.T so I said go for it.
Unfortunately I lost that baby but if I hadn't we would have been in the ***** big time.
It took him 8 months to find another job, and not from lack of trying, like your DH he's a working man and was going nuts staying at home doing nothing and financially it hit us very hard, will be another six months before we fully get back on our feet.
If I had my time over again, and DH has said the same, he would not leave another job without securing a new one first.
IMO it's not worth the risk, unless your a millionaire, then I guess you wouldn't be working anyways![]()
mmm to be a millionaire!
ll80 - thanks - i will talk to him tonight and i think he should pull a sicky tomorrow and apply a few jobs lol and see how things go to start 3 weeks after bub is due...
