I wish it was one page total!!!! Each job lists 5+ KSC, the good thing is that a lot of schools list the same criteria for jobs, so you don't have to rewrite each one!!! I have been able to tweak my original ones from last year to suit jobs for this year but yep they are one page each or very slightly less. When I reapplied for the job I am in this year she added 2 more to the original criteria she had so I had 7 pages covering 7 criteria that was fun, NOT!!!

Also when you ring the person, question them about the job, about any extra skills etc they're looking for & then incorporate those into the application

wow, ok so 7 pages, maybe not so good to write! I just find it hard fitting everything in I want to say on one page, so I think 3 or 4 pages is pretty good.

I would think half a page for each KSC.

For the NSW DET its half a page for each General SC and Specific SC for schools. I submitted a job application last week for an assistant principal position and it ended up being 5 pages long. Half a page on each of the 10 (in total) criteria.

I agree, half a page max for each SC. I'm in fed govt and have chaired lots of selection panels. Reading pages and pages of responses (that often don't say much at all) is very frustrating.

Thanks all!! Will write a half page response per criteria and then I will all the guy who is out of the office til Thursday later in the week just to be sure. Dh is out of town tonight so will get started, I think I can copy and paste from some others that I have done for teaching, and just re edit.
