I love you, Lime![]()
I have a real thing about when people don't use capital letters for name, I get really cross when I see TV shows/ movie credits or labels with peoples names and no capital letter.
Ahh, cheers for that one, Onyx - the who/whom thing screws me up a bit, it's the only 'rule' I'm not 99% confident using on a regular basis.
:yeahthat:
Thanks Onyxthat cleared it up for me as well!
I had a sense of when I should have used "whom" but wasn't 100% certain... now I "get" it.
So should we say "whom amongst us is really good at spelling?" or "who amongst us..."? I figure "whom" because you can't substitute a s/he.
Iyou Bath.
great thread. I am anal with how I use the above words. What I find hilarious is grammar. The other day someone was saying they're due out of hossie soon and her husband replies "Thank God I'm out of jocks" rather than "Thank god. I'm out of jocks" I read it as he was happy to be freeballing rather than he was out of clean underwear.it's amazing how something so snall can make a difference to the situation
