    What's that writing called LOL

    I used to do it all the time as a kid. You would make squares then draw lines in the square to make a letter, so a H would be a box with two vertical lines in the middle drawn from the top and bottom of the box but not meeting in the middle.

    Does that make sense.

    I was doing it for the kids and cant' remember how to do a G or a Q and wanted to google it.

    Sounds like some kind of bubble writing variant...probably from the eighties when everyone was thrilled by the thought of being able to write like a computer! Lol

    Btw you could do g with a half line from the middle of the rhs to the centre of the square. And a diagonal line from the bottom rh corner to the middle for the q.

    Eta just asked dd who says a g is done with a short line in the middle like an o, but with a halfway line going in from the lhs so you get like a lower case g. Box writing? Square writing? Cube writing?

    Do you know what I just remembered I first saw it on that science show with Rob and .... The Curiosity Show. I think it was called.

    It used to be in the Lettering Book as well, I wonder if you googled that, you might find it?
