Megan - love the photos, Finlay looks so beautiful. Good idea to have him naked, altho a little risky for you LOL!
Heather - we had our first trial with an Avent bottle and 2 holed teat yesterday just to see if it could be possible to have an alternative way to feed him. Alexander managed to suck on it without too much stress.
Shannon - You're amazing to have so much positive energy and strength given the extent of your baby's health concerns. You are an inspiration. Yay that Jess is sleeping through the night!
Rachel - Blake and Vivienne are so cute!
Hayseed - Alexander had a break out of spots on his trunk area today. I think its a normal baby thing...???
Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your nipple. I hope it heals itself soon and you start to feel better.
Lisa - Poor you with mastitis. That must be so difficult for you to be sick and looking after a young bub. Things will change soon, so persevere!
I was floored the other night with a blocked duct in one bb. I had a high temperature, aches and a feeling of being punched in the bb. It was awful. I thought I had it too, but managed to release the duct and it seems to have passed now.
Brooke - yay for Maya and her long night sleeps!
Kate - good to have a diagnosis for Kelsey so now you can go about treating her. Poor little bub having reflux. Is she a chucker? I'm beginning to come out of denial and admit that Alexander is a colic sufferer...or a good actor LOL! But he complains most loudly at night and it seems to be resulting from wind only. If we get a burp or 2 up, he's right. He is on a 3 hourly feeding pattern, day and night. It is a rare occasion when he will stretch it to 3.5 hours. The elusive all night's sleep is a way off for us I think. I am still expressing about 20 mls off the top of each boob most feeds and it seems to help him feed quietly and without too much dramatic sucking. The other thing is, we're not using a dummy. We've found he's enjoying sucking on my little finger when he's stressed out, so me and Dh have turned into human dummies. Not sure how long this will be necessary for, we hope he'll grow out of it soon.
gotta go, this has already been a marathon post that has been on my computer for a feed, bath and dinner cooking session.
