G'mornin' all!

Well, our household is a little less crazy now. We're all recovering from our bout of the flu. Hannah seems much better, which is great! Now I can focus on getting myself better! She's still not sleeping well. Last night her "long" sleep was only 2 1/2 hours. I am having trouble getting her to sleep during the day too. Oh well! She grins at me every time she wakes me up in the night so I can't stay mad at her! On the positive side - Hannah has worked out how to kick to activate her kick n whirl carnival and to pull on her toys to make her swing play music. I'm a proud mum

Hayseed - ouch re: the sore boob! I found bf really tricky too (with cracked nipples galore). I found that using a nipple shield really helped give my nipples a break and it was more effective to put Hannah on with one of those than to express. I know some people frown on their use (it can confuse baby apparently) but for me it was the difference between persevering and giving up! I only needed to use it for a couple of days and then I used it every 2nd feed to give my nipples a chance....just a thought! The avent ones are supposedly the best....I hope your nipples are feeling better soon!

Megan - Finlay sounds so cute when you're out shopping. It's amazing to see the world through the eyes of someone so new! Your pics are beautiful too btw!

LOL Brooke @ you not being able to stop kissing Maya! It's an epidemic I think - I can't get enough of Hannah's chubby little cheeks either. Being a mum is just the best...

Jo - hope the chiro did the trick? how's your sleeping going now? Hope your roast dinner was fabulous (I am salivating at the thought!)

Shannon - I think we'll stay here in Kingaroy. Tim's mum and dad are here and he's pretty close to them. We own our own home here (outright - no mortgage), and we couldn't afford one in Brisbane without a horrific loan! Tim will just have to find some work outside science if it comes down to it. Even night fill at Woolies (which he did through uni) pays pretty well and he enjoyed it. Other than that there are plenty of labouring jobs around. lol @ Jess' massive spew - I have been known to do the same thing with Hannah when she is sleeping soundly in a pool of milky vomit. Mother's are a creative bunch aren't we?? lol!

Heather - congrats on finishing your assignment! Well done! I am starting to stress about mine (due on the 26th). In my panic i am thinking of defering, but I really want to keep going....I don't think being sick has helped much! I may yet join you and defer for 6 months... Glad Hendrix has been sleeping well for you! Little champ!

Rachel - love the website - your kids are so beautiful! Sounds like Blake is going great guns with his weight gain. Hannah is a 90th percentile girl for weight too. Started at the 50th.

Kate
- hope the reflux sorts itself out soon. hopefully elevating her a bit will help. Good to hear that Kelsey is thriving so well! Hannah's a chubby bub too (6.4kg and 60cm long) - but our CHN and GP are pleased!

I'm sure I've missed some of you...I will try to keep up this week!!!
