Ok... back! She always seems to wake up with wind after an hour or so with her morning nap. Doesn't matter how much I burp her. Ah well.. she will grow out of it!

Where was I?

Nell - that's a good idea making scrapbooks for the Mum's. I bet they will love them. I gave Mum one of those "Grandma's Little Boasting Book" photo albums and she carries that around in her hand bag. I don't blame you for not wanting visitors. Sometimes it can just be a pain in the bum when you want to get things done or you might just want to relax and be a family at home.

Naomi - I hope Ryan slept a little better for you last night. If he slept well during the day it could be a good thing. People freak out when I say that Gabby sleeps better at night if she sleeps well during the day. I guess it means she is more settled on those days.

I managed to get the house all vacuumed yesterday. Neil looked after Gabby for a couple of hours while he watched the footy. Oh... yeah... have to say it: "GO GEELONG!". It was a very convincing win as they christened the new grand-stand that they have built @ Kardinia Park. It looks great. It has certainly changed the look of the place! Very fancy and swish for little ole' Geelong! I used to barrack for the Western Bulldogs so it's kind of bitter sweet that Geelong won but, still, it keeps Nobba happy so that's all that matters Anyway... got the house cleaned and it feels much better now - esp. when I put Gabby down to play. Not so much crud surrounding her, LOL.
She slept for 8 hours last night 8-[ AND she slept through Neil having a shower which was a shock. I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep (wouldn't you know it!!) so I managed to have breaky before she stirred and had a nice, big feed. Her play times are starting to last a bit longer and her smiles are bigger and more frequent! She had a good old chat to me this morning. It was wonderful!
I think the key to her sleeping for a while is the bath. It really relaxes her and wears her out. I generally give her a BF, bath her @ around 9:30-10pm, then give her a bottle (sometimes she drinks heaps... other times barely 30mls) and zonks it. I'm pretty lucky that it works for me

Hmmm.. might try and make scones today with my new oven! Hopefully the cooktop, rangehood and dishwasher will be functional after Neil's bro comes over today. Although... I seem to remember saying that a week ago.....
