Ohh that is so sad Misty about the little girl who had to eat dirt. Would have made my heart break had I been there.

Bugga about your tadpoles too. I am actually surprised these have lasted as long as they have lmao. God know what i will do when one becomes a frog LMAO. Unless I can put it into the creek near us 8-[

Christine how inspiring, and how terribly sad for those kids. We really don't see how lucky we are sometimes.

Kathryn- what an amazing time for the boys, I love seeing kids faces when they discover things. Bugger Andrew about not asking about the car LOL, typical male, seems like there is alot of mucking around with the quoting process!

Bathsheba- I can't believe you don't drive, I don't know what I'd do without my license. I was linig up for learners on my 16th bday and went for my license first available day too. Doesn't help that we live in Kilmore, public transport is much wanting up here, only country rail and feet. LOL Yay for a great day out!

Christy- I hope you savoured the time alone LOL. Isn't it funny how we don't think we will ever need that time until we have kids!

I am home alone (with 4 kidsLOL) not very alone really, so we are having homemade fish and chips and I am vowing to have vegies tomorrow, and the next night and the next night. I am craving them but am too tired todayLOL. I have a roast prok in the freezer and I am dying to cook it.

Anyway better go and do stuff

Tadpoles how cute!! We have a family of green tree frogs who live in our front yard... every summer I put out little shallow dishes of water for them at night. Luckily the cane toads stay in the back yard....

Mistyfying that is really heartbreaking but so exciting at the same time. DH & I have been supporting an orphan in Uganda since we were engaged. He's almost finished school now & we've decided to continue to support him through trade school...so exciting to see them grow up and know that we've helped.

Christy- that is so great of you guys to do that for him, imagine how it is for him to know someone cares. I must admit to thinking that I shuld do the same but not really being able to afford it, esp now we have 4 kids. In a way i sort of feel guilty for not doing it. I think it is hard too though cos there are loads of kids in Australia also in poor circumstances, but I guess it is different in Africa with there not being the basics.

I like the green tree frogs, but def not the toads. Are they all through Brisbane? I didn't realise they were down that far!

Well i just found out about the car. Andrew did go down there eventually and they have the two quotes in but they still have to do their own final assessment which was happening either late today or tomorrow. They wouldn't give Andrew the quote prices, which i am starting to find a bit suss. I have a very strong feeling they are going to write if off, although having said that mum is with the same insurance company and they found what their quotes were and their car was written off. So I reallly don't know what the go is. I will be on that phone at 9am tomorrow morning.

I remember all the green tree frogs at a friends house where we stayed in Lismore when I was 16. Would walk down the path and they would leap in front of you. I dont have a pond or anything for the frogs to live here permanently, so they will have to go to the creek.

The secrecy all seems very strange Kathryn, doesn't it? Wonder what the big deal is I mean it's your car after all and You pay the insurance premium.

Probably someone's power trip, makes them feel big to deny you the figures LOL

    LMAO Michelle

Come tomorrow morning they wont be denying me any further !!! I was told they would be happy to answer all questions I had then. So we shall see. We usually don't have a prob with them, maybe cause I am so desperate to find out LMAO. Need to know if I am suddenly going to become very very broke with having to buy a new car.

I hope you find out soon Kathryn!!! I'm getting packed to go to South Bank to have another BB QLD meet-up... Matilda lost it around 20 minutes ago & is now asleep ](*,) why does she always fall asleep as we are about to be going somewhere!! I just figured she could sleep while I packed us up to go & then I would wake her up as we leave... hopefully she'll have enough rest to get through the meet-up

oooh have fun at the meet girls. We are meant to be having a playgroup meet up today, but the weather is a bit iffy at the moment, and my ride there said she wasn't going last night. I have two others lined up but both of them are iffy about going as well. Ahh well, doesn't really phase me if I go or not.

Just a quick one to say that I got your PM, Christy - thanks - but I couldn't make it today as I was getting reacquainted with my new friend the toilet bowl. Hopefully next time the m/s will be finished. Hope you guys had a lovely time!

  12. #120

Awww Kellee !! and how is Mr Porcelain lately LMAO.

I hope you girls are having/had a good meet. I did end up going to our playgroup meet, so it was nice to get out of the house. I should find out in the next hour or two what the go is with our car, it is currently having its final assessment done.

Hi girls!! It was great fun. All the kids behaved We had a play in the park & then morning tea/lunch and then a swim at the lagoon & all of us were tired afterwards LOL I've just woken up & am letting Matilda do the same atm.

  14. #122

Wow that is pretty cool that you can go swimming in a lagoon !! Too bloody cold for swimming here today, although a few kids were playing in the creek in the park where we went.

Well don't think we are finding out about the car today... really getting the run around which so isn't like AAMI. I am now just so over it..... I am sick of the headaches from worrying about it.

Sorry about the car, Kathryn. That really sucks. We've had to deal with AAMI a few times, and they've been wonderful. I hope that it gets sorted out really soon.

I'm glad you gals had a good time, Christy. Make sure you let me know about the next one and I'll be there with bells on.

Boring boring me. I've been so crook that I haven't been out of the house much, and I've almost forgotten what my friends look like! Charlie has been a bit grizzly too, because he's used to me crawling around on the floor after him like a mad chook, but I haven't been able to. It's been a nice opportunity for us to read books together though - I sit him on my lap (while there's still room!) and read about teddy bears all day. He loves it. My little boy is growing up too fast. *sigh*

Anyway, bedtime. While I feel ok now I anticipate that tomorrow will be more of the same. Gggrrr... I may have to defer my exam. Bugger. Hello to Michelle, Bathsheba and anyone else I missed. Hope you're all well.

CHristy- yay for a good meet, way cold here in melb too, wouldn't catch me near water LOL.

Kathryn- that is very annoying about the car too. WOnder why?

Kellee- I really feel for you. And was there nobody to hold your hair for you. Charlie will be so amazed when your bubby starts kicking and pushing bits out of your belly. Makes me wish for another LOL But not really!

Nothing much on my end, maybe chat more tomorrow, as I have a gf coming for lunch and i am about to go to bed
    Cheers michelle
