Deb, I posted last week I think it was in Baby and Toddler discussion about her hair. So nope, you didn't miss anything in here.

On the right side of Tehya's head she has a patch of pure white hair about the size of a 20 cent coin. We were ok about that, not too stressed.. But now as more hair is coming through it seems that about 1/4 of the back of her head on the right side from her ear back - kwim, the hair is coming through pure white. I asked the hairdresser about it when we took Noah in for a haircut and she said that she has no pigment in her hair there. It would always be white, if we were lucky maybe blonde. After doing too much research on the internet I found out that it was called Poliosis and that it can be linked to other diseases as well. So anyway, as I said the Dr just wants to watch it for a while. Scary thing about it though it means that she also has no melanin there either. This is what helps your skin to tan and protects your skin, so she will be really suseptible(sp) to melanomas. Mums gf'f daughter has the same thing and she had a melanoma removed at the age of 11.

Looks like we have to staple hats onto her head for her now
The more hair she gets the more the white stands out too. If only she had blonde hair, we wouldn't notice it then.

Take care
Trish
