Ooh Trish!! I would love to meet you IRL!! I could meet you in town for a lunch date, or maybe we could actually do the movie thing. Of course, I do understand if maybe you wanted to just hand out with Mark on your weekend away. LOL imagine Shane walking down the street with children hanging off him. Hahahaha!!

Oh - I forgot to say, the ring I want is on special, and has about $2k off it, so if Lara all goes OK, we might be putting it on layby!!! Yay!!!!!! It has about a 1ct argyle (yellow) diamond in the middle, and then 2x .4ct perfectly white diamonds either side. It is just stunning, and matches all my other jewellery. Its so revoltingly expensive, but I can honestly say I wouldn't need anymore jewellery for at least 3 years. And then he can finally make an honest woman of me!

Fi, that ring sounds divine. I found a 1ct diamond ring, the diamond is in the shape of a heart. It's priced arounbd $7k so I don't like my chances of ever getting it but I tried it on anyway and it looks fantastic. Oh, it's nice to dream.

Well if I do get down there we'll have to catch up. Probably would be no good us doing a movie, how would we talk I'll have to ask mum again today if she's still up for it. Think it would only be Mum, me and Tehya if it happens.

Fingers crossed for you that Lara settles today. I'm sure that'll be a nice bday pressie for you. Happy Birthday for tomorrow btw

Forgot to say before, Mum went out to a toy raffle last night and I called and asked her to grab $10 worth of tickets for me. None of them won, but I did I think she said she grabbed and activity/construction table for Noah and Tehya. It has drawers under it to stash their stuff in it. I'm yet to see it though. YAY to me. If I'd gone I would've spent way more and probably came home with nothing, so that was great.

    Take care
    Trish

Another great sleep for us \/ This time was 10.30-6.30 YAAAAY and then we went back to bed together at 7 & he is still asleep now, have to wake him up soon for mum's group though.

Wow at a $7000 ring Trish, my wedding & engagement rings cost $2000 together! Yay on the acitivty table, sounds great. Also yay on the possible trip to Melbourne, you should try to have it coincide with a meet-up!

Yay on your ring being on special as well Fi, it sounds gorgeous too. Zander is a bit funny with his bottles ATM, sometimes he'll have the entire 240ml others it will only be 200ml. It's a bit of a pain cos 9 times out of 10 he wants more than the 180ml but not quite the 240 so I end up dumping some down the sink.

Just wait util the sale actually starts Nell - the toys will be everywhere! Yay that Matty is over his cold, but what a pain that DH has it now.

Deb I'm the same, mum's group probably here next week (have to confirm it today) so I'll be madly cleaning for the better part of the week! So far all the houses have been spotless so I'm feeling a little stressed at all that has to be done.

LOL at the spew on your head Tanya. I haven't copped one of those yet, but have had quite a few between my boobs! Yesterday he did a huuuuge one on me & I had to figure out how to get my jumper off without getting it all on my face - I failed LOL!

LOL at Emily cracking it for Kev, it's good when they finally see what we go through. I took my sister to the dentist last Friday & Zander with Aaron for a whole 1.5hrs. He screamed for 90% of it & Aaron rang to see how long we would be when we were on the way home. Got home & Zander had fallen asleep - my comment to him "See it's not easy playing mummy is it?"

Well I think I have covered everything so I better get my bum into gear seeing as I have to be out of here in 45mins & I haven't done anything yet (still in my pjs). Hope you all have lovely days

Yay on your (maybe) ring Fi! Sounds just lovely and I hope you get the chance to layby it.

I would love to meet the supermum IRL too! Can we organise a Melb meet up with you, Trish? Huh? Pretty please? I know some of the others would love to meet you too. Great stuff on winning the prizes too.

Yay on sleeps Sarah! I can imagine it would be frustrating dumping the formula down the sink. Have fun at mums group.

It was just a bomb scare, so far in Melbourne we've had bomb scares at Werribee Plaza, Parliament Train Station (it's underground) and near the airport. Some people have nothing better to do with their time, very silly really.

Sarah - yay for another great sleep! Good little Zander! I hope MG goes well. I guess we will both me cleaning the house like crazy people over the weekend Thankfully the house I went to yesterday was nice but not super clean and brand-spankers. I don't feel so nervous about my place now.

Fi - how exciting about your ring! It sounds gorgeous. My fingers are crossed that Lara goes unconditional. I don't think we caught the bug off you. My Mum had it too. I thought perhaps it was something in the food at the candle party but that doesn't explain Shane having it too?? One of those freak things I guess!

Nell - a bomb scare??? Wow. That would have been unnerving. Good to hear that Matty is feeling better. Hopefully he built up a nice amount of immunity so he doesn't get another cold in a while.

Trish - you realise if you come to Melbourne, there is no way in hell I am staying away!! LOL Yay @ the raffle wins.

I am feeling much better today. I was sooooo sore and icky last night. Neil gave Gab her bath because my knees were so sore that I couldn't bend down. I think I will have to go to the doc about them. It's so bizarre. I have never had sore joints.

Gosh Guy's I feel loved Of course I'd be more than happy to meet up with all of you. Hopefully I will get things organised with it all soon.

Sarah, Yay on another fantastic sleep. Zander sure is making up for his early days. Hope youy have a good time at MG today.

Deb, maybe your knees are just getting old hon Seriously though, I've been having trouble with mine on and off for a couple of years now. The Dr sent me for an xray and says I have mild athritis in them already. God imagine what they'll be like by the time I'm 50.

Nell, supermum??? I doubt it, but thanks for the compliment. I wish I had the patience for them all. I love little ones and I do love being pg and all the rest of it, but let me say as they get older it gets alot harder. Sleepless nights never end.

Tehya has her appt at 12.15pm today to get her immunisations done. I'm really not looking forward to it. I wish I could have them done for her, but then that just wouldn't work hey. Hopefully she goes well and sleeps for the afternoon afterwards. I will be giving her the Panadol right before I leave.

    Take care

    Hey girls,
Another busy day in here I see

Well done Zander for another great sleep!! You must be feeling good Sarah

Trish, I hope Tehya handles her injections ok Trish... poor little chook. The immunisation ppl are in Dookie next Thursday, so I will take advantage of them while they are here.

Deb, good to hear you are on the mend. I hope you have better luck with the house cleaning than I have... I swear we are going to turn into pigs very soon!!

Nell... I am glad the bomb scare was just that!! Good to hear that he is over his cold

Fi, I remember you saying you might be getting a ring a few months ago... I am glad it may eventuate in the near future!!

I have had a busy day!! Took Alecia to the dentis this morning... We slept in so we rushed around to get ready. I left the girls with my sister... I was so good to be without them for a couple of hours!! I had forgotten! Did a little bit of shopping, one of the local kids cloths shops is closing down so i got a couple of jumpers for the girls and a pj outfit for Violet... It has no arms in it so hopefully it will help keep her poor little fingers warm.
Then I went and bought a really cool watch for Alecia's b-day (it isn't till Oct but with the great sales on at the moment I couldn't resist!). Then I did a bit of grcery shopping and went to pick up the girls. When I was there i received a phone call from Alecia school saying her tooth was hurting... sooo alll the way back into town to pick her up!!

Violet did really well with out me... I can't believe how much she drinks!! I fed her b4 I left this morn... only one side and left 180mls freshly EBM to top her up with... she drank the lot! When I went to pick them up I fed her one side again and left them with my sis so I could pick up Alecia... she drank the frozen milk...150ml. When I got back again she had the other side!! I think She is having another growth spurt!! All day yesterday I was feeding her and it seems as though she is taking in as much as possible today!

    Hi everyone

Fi - that ring sounds gorgeous, hope you can get it. I am loving netball at them moment and it is nice that it is not so hot. I couldn't play tuesday night as I had to be at school for theatre restaurant rehearsals and apparently to quote kevin 'they absolutley anhialated (sp) them" so am annoyed I missed it.

Sarah - A friend of mine makes up the formula and then tips it into one large bottle. Then she just makes up as much as she wants and if she needs more she just adds a little bit more. Might help save on wastage.

Tanya - LOL at the spew, kev copped one in his ear the other day, trickled right down apparently. I haven't had the privilage yet, touch wood.

Nell - I'm glad Matty is over his cold, and fingers crossed that you don't get it. Work is going well, I am so busy the days go by very quickly and then I get to go pick up Emily and take her home to play. I have really begun to value every minute we have together - which I didn't before. Her crawling is going great and she can sit up on her own too. We are going to baby proof our house this saturday as when she wants something she moves very quickly.

Trish - Whoo on the activity table, hope your ring eventuates for you someday.

Deb - I hope you are feeling better today.

Question for everyone, when do you decide to take a baby to a doctor? Emily has a cough that sounds chesty but is not to frequent and a slight runny nose. Given Kevin and I are both asthmatics it is something I am fairly wary of. She is otherwise fine, no temperature and perfectly happy. So at what point do I get it checked out and if I do is there anything they can give a 5mth old baby??

Scarlett - I have been wondering the same thing in regards to when you take bubs to the doctor. I guess if you are concerned about asthma, it might be just as well to take her anyway. Better to be safe than sorry, hey? Can you believe you have to baby-proof the house already?? Time flies! To think that will be all of us in a month or so having to do the same thing. It's just so hard to imagine them being mobile. So much happens in their first year.

Tanya - oh no @ having to go back into town to pick up Alecia. It's always the way! It must have been so liberating to go out without the two younger ones for a while. I always feel like I am being nordy when I am out without Gab. It IS amazing how much EBM they will drink. I leave 200mls for Gabby when I clean Neil's work and she drinks the lot, looking for more. They say that they can drain the boob pretty efficiently so it makes me wonder how much she gets each feed. I just don't feel like there's that much in there during the day!! Amazing.

Fi - happy birthday matey!! Hope you have a fabulous day. Are you doing anything special?? I hope Jenna behaves herself today and Shane isn't too much of a pain in the bum for you.

Last night I decided to try and put Gabby to bed early because she wouldn't go to sleep at 5pm so it was either string her out a bit longer or put her down and not get to bed until midnight for me. The plan was to put her to bed at 8pm but it somehow didn't happen until 10pm by the time we got organised! Sheesh! ](*,) It didn't help that I still had the runs and had to call Neil inside to take her while I bolted to the loo. Lurrrvely! She was still up earlier this morning but only lasted an hour. The poor chook fell asleep on the floor in front of the heater. Sooooo cute! I hate having to pick her up and wrap her but she still startles awake so I didn't want to just leave her.

    Scarlett...lol @ the spew in the ear...eeewww!!
If you think Emily needs to go to the dr, then you know best!! As Deb said, better safe than sorry.

Deb, isn't it cute when they just fall asleep where ever they are!
Remember how I told you that my niece is Gabby too... well her mum is Debbie too ... forgot to tell you that. You might want to know that she is a HANDFUL!! Very smart and norty! LOL

I have put a few new pics of Violet up on her site
She has also found a new cry... its more like a wingepickme up cry... sounds wierd!!
I think if Violet has another day like the last two I might strt her on rice cereal, she is getting veeery demanding!!

Tanya - LOL don't tell me that!! Looks like I am in for it then, hey?? Sounds like Violet is ready for her tummy to be more full. I reckon go for it. I have already decided that I might try rice cereal on Gabby before 6 months if she seems to be looking for more. Maybe at 5 months? Atm she is fine but that could all change.

    Hey

Just thought I would pop in while waiting for Hayley to wake up....she has been down since 11.30pm last night and still sleeping.

Scarlett - I have to agree with the others, if it would make you feel better take her to the Drs, you know best!

Tanya - Dont you just love the whinge cry!!! I hope Violet is getting better, maybe the rice cereal is the way to go, you can only try it and see.

Fi - Happy Birthday!!! I hope you get spoilt!

Deb - I hope that you are feeling better! Nothing worse than a runny bum, lol! Just love that saying!

As for me, we are doing pretty well. I finally decided that Hayley needed a treat, so I bought the kick n whirl carnival thing...was supposedly meant to be $59 but the girl scanned it and it went through at $32, I left pretty quickly after that. Thankfully Hayley just loves it. I have the dreaded MCHN checkup tomorrow, so will see what she has to say...she is dead against food of any sort until after 6 months, but my paed said maybe 5 months if she needs it, only because she is a premmie!

I have Shannen home today with a headache, personally I think she didnt want to do sport in the rain, but I gave in anyway.

We have immunisations next Wednesday night, just hate them but hopefully she will be better this time.

Okay, rambled long enough and Hayley is still asleep so I am off to try and clean!

    Hey everyone

Where do I start. It's been sooo long since I've logged on, I honestly don't know what I used to do with all my time before I had Bas.

Ok, I know I'll miss poeple out,..and if I do.. sorry!

Sarah... glad to hear that Zander is sleeping a bit better since his move to his cot. Sounds like Aaron and your Mum got you through your scare alright too...Zander must be growing too quickly

Deb... ooooh, morning sickness, trial runs wiith toddlers....oooooohhh Just kidding... but who is thinking of a second already? We'd like to have two close together so are thinking about trying in December. Go Gabbers with the rolling over too... it's so cute to see them get a shock to end up the other way around hey Bas has stopped rolling from his tumy to his back so much.. he keeps getting distracted by finding things to put in his mouth. He's also getting frustrated with rolling from his back cause he can't get that last little way over.

Fi.. sounds like you guys had a great trip to NZ... once I've finished this post I'll have to check out the pics.Sounds like a cracker of a ring you've got your eye on too...if Shane's going to make an honest woman of you, he might as well do it right, hey

Tanya... Has Violet started solids yet? I only ask cause Bas was doing the same sort of thing at about 13 weeks, so we started him on some rice cereal at 15 weeks and he;s been sleeping right through from about 11 til 7 every night since then. He also has some fruit and some veges now too.. he's loving it I had to laugh at Violet spewing on your head too. We went to Launceston the other weekend (my SIL had her bub so we went to see them) and as I was picking Bas up out of his pram i went to kiss him and he spewed half digested formula and stomach juices right into my mouth... it was all I could do not to vomit right there outside the entrance to the Country Club Casino

Trish... well done on the raffle win, it's always the way that you never get anything when you're there. I can understand how you might not want Tehya in her jolly jumper with Noah around. Sometimes I have to watch Bas and the cats when he's in his (well it's actually Newkie's which we have pilfered until Lucy is old enough to need it back ) I somehow managed to flip him in it the other day so he was nearly standing on his head! It didn't seem to worry him though.. he absolutely loves it.. he jumps up and down and even from one leg to the other, just like he's walking. I'll put a pic up on my site if I can ever get on in focus

Dinky... I'm glad Hayley is doing so well... even though the MCHN insists on the age adjustment thing. It must be nice having DH and Shannen and Tayla home to share her with you.

Nell, Scarlett I hope everything is going well with you guys and with Matty and Emily.

uuumm.... have I missed anyone?? Sorry!

Well...it's been an interesting few months here. We're pretty well settled in to the new house, eventhough the redecorating is taking a while. I "have" to put up some pics of Bastian's room, which is the only room we've properly finished.

I've had a ****ty cold for a week, which has of course gone to my chest, and now Bas has it too.. his first ever cold, poor little mite.

We started Mothers Group this week. It'a little later than most, but we waited until we moved cause we had to change clinic groups, then we had to wait for a new group to get started down here. It seems like a nice group of people, and Bas is the oldest bub there. We weighed him while we were there too..... now this was fully clothed...with a pair of shoes on....8.9kgs!!! My Mum and Nan are taking us shopping on Saturday to buy new clothes for him cause he's growing out og his 00s!

That's really handy, cause we're really having to budget strictly at the moment. Felius bought a car, so now we're running 2 cars, and that used up most of the money we had left after we sold our other house. It won't be for too long though, cause I got a call from my work asking when I want to go back.. the person they got to replace me isn't working out so well. I really don't want to go back cause I don't want to miss out on Bas developing.. but alas I must. I'll probably start back in about 6 weeks. It will be handy to have some extra money cause I need some new clothes too... everything is too big!! I'm still losing weight, and I think I'm up to about 25 kgs below my pre pg weight!! It's the smallest I've been in about 5 years!

Anyway... this post will probably take up about 10 pages! What an epic!!

Hope everyone is "still" ok at the end of this Hopefully it won't be another month before I get to post again!

    Hello,

Thanks for the birthday wishes. had an OK day, but the miss is being a PAIN!!!!!!! I think shes sick, but shes happy when we dont try and settle her, she weeing and pooing OK, and drinking heaps (although the l;ast feed was out of a bot-bot) so we shall see how she is in the morning.

I got the ring!!!!!! Well, actually, the sign from the ring was put into my card this morning, and it will take us the next few months to pay off, but I got it!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! Mum was slightly taken aback when I said I was getting a 1.88ct diamond ring. Oh well. Its mine!

Scarlett - great to hear netball is going well. I'm playing a game in the morning which I'm looking forward too. Hopefully I do OK and they want me back next week. I'm playing wing, which is what I play, but thats also where the reserves are always put. Glad to hear you are appreciating the baby-growing stuff. Someitmes I reckon we take too much for granted being at home all the time.

Zola - nice to hear from you. Wow on your little boofa boy! He's growing soooo well! And wohoo on the weight loss. You must be slowly disappearing into nothingness with that lot gone. If only I could lose 10kg! Thats all I want to lose. Easier siad than done.

Dinky - bonus on the savings. I hate that feeling of do you say anything, do you walk away. I hope she loves it! Good luck for the MCHN.

Tanya - I know that feeling of not giving enough. Jenna has been demanding more at night, and my milk supply teeters away to nothing after about 8pm. Only enough for snacks. I've tried letting her suck for ever the last couple of nights, but still no milk. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Deb - I hope your botty has cleared up!

Great to hear from you Zola, thanks for the catch up. Sounds like Bas is going great guns.

Dinky - yay on your great bargain! Hope Hayley gets alot of enjoyment out of it.

Scarlett and Deb - I didn't take Matty to the doc's as he really only had one bad day of a cough and if it got worse, then I was going to take him. I think if your instinct tells you to take then do so. Yay on Emily sitting by herself, great stuff.

Oohh solids Tanya? How exciting! I haven't got Matty on them yet as I don't think he is really looking for them. I am planning to start him on a sippy cup soon when I get to the shops to buy him one for my EBM, see how we go with that.

Trish - thanks for agreeing to meet us. Just let us know when you know - yay!

Sarah - hope you have a nice relaxing evening after working, hope Zander went well.

We had 2nd lot of needles today, he cried for a little bit but he was so much better this time round. No after affects yet either so fingers crossed he is well tomorrow.

I also got a pleasant surprise today, my weight has been coming off very slllooowwwllly. As I am going back to work part-time in September, I tried on my uniform today to see how bad it actually was (eekk) but it fit! Yay! I was so worried I'd have a hard time getting back into it.

Don't know where to start this morning!

Happy belated birthday Fi & woohoo on getting the ring I hope Jenna's not getting sick.

Yay at your uniform fitting Nell, I bet that was a pleasant surprise!

Welcome back Zola We're thinking of trying from January as well, so who knows we might have our 2nds close together too! Wow at how big he is getting, we're weighing Zander later today.

Good luck with the MCHN today Dinky, hopefully she'll be a bit nicer or is that just wishful thinking?!

So have you started the rice cereal yet Tanya?

Weeeeelll we had a FANTASTIC night last night. Zander was in bed at 8.30 (us at 9.30 after Lost) had a grizzle for his dummy at 3ish and then slept until 7.15 \/ YAAAAAAYYYY he's finally getting this sleep thing sussed!
