Melissa my DB would be very jealous. He loves Neal Diamond.
Stacey will email you the info.
thanks Lara
Neil Diamond would have been great - he played in Wellington last weekend and I think it sold out. My DH flatly refused to go with me, apparently it was to daggy LOL!
Munchkin is asleep now, yay! She usually has a pretty decent sleep in the afternoons, except when I want her to like yesterday. I had booked in for a facial a week ago and was REALLY looking forward to it. My first bit of "me" time since she was born. I planned it like a military campaign, fed her at 1PM, topped her up with a bottle so she was nice and content, got her to sleep in her cot before transferring her to the car. Very gently took the contlently sleeping bub into her stroller and away we went...not a peep from her. 10 minutes into my facial the screaming starts....and doesnt stop. After 15 mins of me trying to calm her down the beauty therapist and Iagreed it was a total loss and gave up. As soon as we were out walking she was all smiles....devil child!!!!
At least I didnt get charged anything for my 10 minutes of relaxation!
Has anyone elses skin turned to crap after their bubs were born? Mine is really dry and flaky almost like eczma (sp?).
omg Mimo. I'm sooo hearing you on the bad skin. I thought that it might be dry because of the breast feeding using more water so I tried drinking heaps more but it didn't help. The only moisturisers I've found that seem to work are the Natio sensitive skin and a Jurlique one. My hair is also dreadful condition at the moment.
I got back from holidays yesterday and found a message from a friend to say that her waters had broken. It was sent on the 8th so she must have had the baby by now but I haven't heard anything from her or her DH.
We had a great time on holiday but Yasin didn't really like having his routine upset and lets us know all about it (and everyone else in the hotel). I went off to qualifying on Sunday morning while DH looked after Yasin but that was the only time I went to the track. After the grand prix we went to Warnambool for a few days. DH played a bit of golf, we looked a bit of the great ocean road, went to the tree top walk in a rain forest and did alot of lazing about. I wish I didn't have to come home. The cold weather was so nice after all the heat in Sydney and Melbourne seemed so much more relaxed and friendly than Sydney.
Sorry for no personals but there is so much to catch up on.
Welcome to the new faces.
Poor Mimo, can you arrange your facial for a time when someone else can watch Hannah? They definetly know when to play up don't they?
I am just poking my head in cos I miss being in here. Jessica commando crawled onto the slate floor in the kitchen today and proceeded to lick it, it's a different feel to the carpet she is used to so we are now in big trouble, I will have to run around with the mop all day.
Glad you had a good time in our lovely Melbourne Dasch, maybe Yasin will be better next year, when he's that bit older.
Bye Michelle
I am looking forward to seeing Neil - thought DP wouldn't come with me as we have very different tastes in music (he loves tripleJ) but he said neil would be "cool" to see!! I got 3rd row seats so can't wait =D>
Lucky you Mel, my Dh would never go to anything unless it was his fav and he calls me a stick in the mud. Have a great time, live artists are always amazing.
CHeers Michelle
Well Lily is 3 months old today. Gee time has flown by sooo fast. She is now trying to crawl! Has the motion going, just can't move, iykwim? She's getting way ahead of herself here. It is scary as! Her 'talking' has come along way. She can even sometimes copy the sounds DP and I make perfectly. She has a very cheeky personality. She's just gorgeous. Took some black and white photos of her today, so will get those up on the site asap.
Michelle, nice to see you haven't deserted us! How is Jemma's finger going?
wow Tegan, Lily sounds so advanced ..... my Anna is 4 months and we were getting scared at how she loves to watch Hi5 but is still happy to sit and watch not too advanced I think ....
Nice to see a Sydney person .... we have horses up at gosford ....
Cheers
HI Tegan,
Lily is like Jess, in such a hurry! Jemma's finger is ok, very bent though. We have an appt on the 31st for xrays and they are monitoring it with a 30%chance of surgery in 12 mths+. Poor bugger, she wanted her ears pierced, so I took her and she was most traumatised, cried for 15mins afterwards, only stopped to post the mail for nana and have a ride on the Barney ride at the shops, which is an absolute rip of at $2 a go.
Cheers Michelle
Stacey
Anna is like Eliana - she loves Hi5 especially Charli - though she does love any tv - I am glad she has taken a liking to a kids show cause I thought she would be stuck loving the newreaders (thinks they are talking to her) I can't believe she is 4 months old today - seems like ages ago I was being induced!!
Lily is also one who loves her TV. When i'm watching telle i have her sitting up in my lap and she just sits there watching it. If you lay her back down or put her in her rocker she will have a hissy fit, so i put her back in my lap and she is fine watching telle again!
Yeah, in the early days I got scared and thought she may get an american accent cuz the TV was on so much ...... u know those early shifts when the house is all quiet except for me and Anna and and those american shows ....
my DH is also from american so I was doublely worried ...
way back when I was clubbing one of the bands I say was the wiggles before they were the wiggles when Tarryn started watching them I was so embarassed ..... lol
now am getting ready for Hi5 and I think in a big way ... Anna doesnt watch TV seriously only when Hi5 are on ..... I hope I like their music toooooo ... :D
Hey guys,
Just adding new threads in this forum to help split up the load that is about to start hitting ;) Lovely to see so many babies about :)
Myself or a moderator will move over your details if you wish, but if you would prefer to keep chatting in your current group this month, that is okay. Next month we will split the groups indefinitely though.
Hi Girls

I loved the RNSP hospital experience ... felt like I was in a Hotel not a hospital .... with Tarryn I did the public hospital which was okay .... just thought I see this time (as its my last) how the other half lived .... it was a great experience ... but having my 2 daughters arrive safely was the BEST !!@!!
stacey
have just read that you live in wahroongha - my grandparents lived in billyard avenue next to the priory - i grew up in killara & st ives
Do you GP's still live in Wahroonga ??
It's funny my Parents live on the gold coast now, my brother in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, the only relative near to me is an Aunt that I don't get on with !!!
Oh and my Mum lives in America .. could'nt get further away than that ...
I have asked her to buy the house next door which is up for sale ... to come back to Oz and be near her granddaughters ..... hope that may happen ... but probably wont....
Hi girls, hows everyone getting on? Just an update on Lily. She rolled from back to front for the first time today. She's scaring me at how quickly she is learning!!
Hi Tegan, lily is gorgeous just visited her web site ..... front to back thats great guns .... After a feed Anna has so much energy her arms and legs carn't keep up with themselves .... if she could walk she would be running ......
Our little family is great just getting over another horsey weekend ..... Anna touched a horse for the first time ... and today one of our horses touched Anna for the 1st time ..... very gently, kissing her toes ... it was very cute ....
I have an aching back from all the lifting and carrying of items around the paddock and of washing bub and the horse .... ugh im getting too old for all this !@!@!!
Hope you had a great weekend ..
Cheers
hi everyone, I hope you're all well and your bubs too.
Yasin has a bit of a cold/sore throat and his breathing is a bit funny. We took him to a Dr yesterday (it wasn't his usual one because it was sunday and she wasn't working) and she seemed to think that it was ok but if it hangs around I'll take him to his normal Dr. Other than the wheezy breath he seems his usually self. He gets noisier by the day, I think he's going to be a huge chatterbox because he never shuts up.
He's trying sooo hard to crawl now. He can get his bum right up into the air while he shoves his nose into the ground or he can push himself backwards or forwards with his arms he just can't seem to co-ordinate the front and rear ends.
Stacey, how many horses do you have? I love riding, I learnt to ride at the same time as I learnt to walk and the only reason that I would ever move to the country is so that I could have horses. DH and I are thinking of moving to somewhere that we can have some acreage in a year or two so that we can get a pony for Yasin. My sister has a couple of really nice childrens ponies and her own children should have outgrown them by then so we can have them :crossfingers: Its so hard to find really good childrens ponies so we're lucky that we can just inhieret a couple.
Yasin likes TV but I usually don't let him watch it. I'm one of those mean mummies who hates tv and playstation.
Mr Noisey has just woken up so I'd better go and amuse him.
I cant believe hes 3 months old..( well almost) .. its gone waaaay to quick.... even if he is the size of a 6 month old lol. Still travelling at the moment, in coober pedy at the moment and down to adelaide tommorrow.... then across to nhill and finally.......

Hi everyone
I haven't been in here for ages. I see they have changed the organisation of the forums!
Well Grace has 2 teeth now on the bottom. They came within a week of each other and I have to say it was a surprise as Harry didn't get teeth until he was 6 months old, so I wasn't expecting Grace to get them at 4 months old! I am learning not to compare Harry as a baby to Grace though because she is quite different!
Dachlostar - Grace is trying to crawl too, but she hasn't worked it out yet. She can get herself around on the floor by rolling and wriggling though, and she tries to go for things like her toys or Harry's hair!
Rob - IKWYM about growth. People always notice Grace getting bigger, even if it's just been a week since they saw her last. I don't notice it happening because I am with her all the time. Stephen really notices it because he is working away atm and doesn't see her for maybe a fortnight.
Anyway gotta go feed my starving child
Michelle we are not long behind you. 6 months..WOW!
Rob I know what you mean about them growing. Alana does these amazing spirts of growth. Can't wait to hear about his growth. Alana has her weigh in on Friday.
Bon I can't believe Grace already has two teeth. It feels like Alana has been teething for ever, but no teeth. She has been really bad today. Very grumpy. She has very low tolerance level for people when she not well. Like her mummy!LOL!
Anyway, I have put some new photos of Alana on her website, if you want to take a look.
Hi dachlostar, girls,
I have 4 horses, one for DH, one for DD1, one for me, and a retired horse. Not sure what suburb of Sydney you live, but we agist our horses at Peats Ridge ... GV .... near gosford ... only 20 minutes away from where we live..... It is a great place for horses .... plenty of grass .. you don't have to feed them daily which means you can go on holis and leave them unattended.. If you are thinking of owning horses and still live in city it is possible. The place has great riding and camping areas I have agisted there for period of about 12 years and just love it.. My 14 year old daughter has grown up there ..... lots of friends and horsey lovers .... campers and the great feel of the out doors .....
I could go on and on about horses ... but I won't bore you all .....
Back to babies ....... my little one seems to be teething ... it is good to hear stories about young bubs and teething .... my family think i'm mad saying that she could be teething ... but she is showing all the signs ... running poos, smelly wees, dribbling, chewing and showing signs of discomfort .... I hope its teething but I guess its a long wait ..... can this gone on for months ?????? hope I can be proved right and not feel like an other anxious mum as usual ...
Cheers
Parents are anxious from the day their children are born until their dying day. dosen't matter how old the kids are 2mths or 20 yrs...or so my mum says...though i know i still cause her some grief...hehe
Rob
LOL...Stacey I used to ride up at Peats Ridge when I lived in Sydney... I loved it there. We didn't have our own horses, but got to know the ones we like best quick :)
Hi back Christy,
Nice to see other horsey Mums out there !!! giddiup \:D/
Thanks Rob, don't I know how long a mother can stay anxious for ... DD1 is making me very anxious with her sleep overs .... hmmmm she doesn't sleep very much mostly practices her kissing technique !@!@!!
just saying hi & hoping everyone is having a great day

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well and your bubs too.
OMG, last night was a killer. For reasons best known to himself Yasin woke up at 4am this morning and refused to go back to sleep. I never get to sleep before midnight so 4m is not my prefered wakeup time!!!! At 7.30am he was still refusing to sleep and laughing at every attempt to settle him so I couldn't cope any more and gave myself a time-out. I just put him in his cot with a couple of dummies and a few toys and went and crashed until 9am when he woke me by shouting for attention. I'm really hoping that I don't get a repeat performance tonight.
One of my friends just had a baby girl!! I wish I couls see her but she's too far away so I'll just have to wait for photos.
Bon, wow at Grace's teeth. Yasin is gnawing everything that he can get his mouth around at the moment so I think that he may have one on the way.
MummyLovesJaykob. I hope you're enjoying your holiday/journey. How is Jaykob travelling?
Rob, Its amazing how fast they grow isn't it. I found one of Yasin's 0000 onesies that I had forgtten to pack away the other day and it seemed so tiny. Its hard to believe that he used to fit into it (for about a week!!). I used to get so annoyed at those friends of my parents who always said "oooh look how much you've grown" but now I understand and whats worse I actually said it a friend's daughter recently. aaaaggghhhh I'm turning into my parent's friends.
Iris, what is Alana's web-site url? I can't see it on the first page of the forum.
Michelle and Michelle, I can't believe that its six months already. Have fun in the next forum, I'll see you there in about a month and a half.
Dachlostar if you click on the 'www' then you can see Alana's website.
But it is, www.babiesonline.com/babies/a/alana04
Actually Kathryn maybe I should get this added to the front page.
d'oh #-o #-o
thanks Lara. Doesn't she have lovely thick hair.
