Wow we are a quiet lot!! LOL!!! Things have been really crazy this week with being sick, I'm still really fluey & Matilda's got it & DH is feeling it too! So we are staying in today to rest up, then Aidyn's birthday tomorrow!!! YAY!! We have to keep Matilda away from the other kids unfortunately because she has tonsilitis and will be contageous, but since its in a park we thought we'd try to see how we go....fingers crossed....keep her strapped to the pram... maybe a trip to the playground with DH for a ride on his lap on the swing but try to keep her germs with her. So this is her second bout of tonsilitis in two months #-o I hope this one has an easier recovery!!!

Well...off to tend to sick hubby with dinner...thankfully I made too much food last week in the slow cooker so its just a bit of defrosting for tea.

I've been out with the Vic BB members, and it was great fun! I was soo excited about it, but about 25 mins before it was time to leave, Mitchell had a mental - throwing himself around and squealing like a piglet. I put him on the bed and he promptly threw up all over it and went to sleep. Poor kid, I could feel his tummy really heaving. It seems to be all over now, but I was worried about a gastro attack. AND he missed playing with Angus - I'm sure they would have had a lovely time.

Had an attempted child abduction at work Friday, it was awful-the parents literally had one end of the child each. What is wrong with people?

Well we are back from the big party! Unfortunately we had to have a drama in front of everyone ourselves of course 8-[ can't not be the centre of attention #-o ...Matilda was munching on some rockmelon in my arms & started choking, started turning red & tearing up and gagging...so I stuck my finger in & pulled some of it out but it didn't work (I was trying not to panic) and then turned her upside-down and patted her back gentley which thankfully worked & then we sat down & she promptly vomitted everything from the entire day up ALL over ME!!! In front of everyone just after the cake cutting for Aidyn ](*,) I was a bit mortified, but thanks Ambah for coming to the rescue with a clean top for both Matilda & me!!!

Only on the way home did DH say that it was really only a big drama for me and no one else really noticed how bad Matilda really was and that it was only the vomit people noticed...

    Oh Happy Birthday Aidyn!!! \/
It's is my DP's birthday today too!!
It should have been Felix's first birthday today too, but I blame DP for him being nearly 2 weeks overdue, as he told him to stay put for his birthday! I am gald too, as 2 birthdays on the same day would have been a nightmare!!

We are nearly at an end here too 13 days to go..

Oh Christy poor you that sounds terrible..hope Miss Matilda is feeling better..she is SUCH an adorable little thing now..I REALLY hope we can see you guys next time we're up in Brisbane!

Lulu so you went to the Vic BB thing and Mitchell stayed home? Or you missed out too?
The child abduction thing sounds terrible

Felix is going really well ATM, Nasal Gastric tube review is tomorrow, fingers crossed for us that we dont have to have one and he has put on heaps of weight!

Mitche went straight to sleep after the spew incident, so DP kicked me out the door - he's such a sweetie. He knew I was looking forward to it.

It was a great day there was me, Divvy and Alex, Gemma, Wardygirl and Viv, Barley and Maddison, Iris and Alana, Yvette, DP and Angus. Lovely day, the kids were great, but Mitchell and Angus didn't get to have a play.
Maybe on Thurs if Yvette makes it - we have another meet then with the Vic members. That's gonna be HUGE, I think we have booked for about 30 or so, and there is another mums group booking for 48!!!
Lucky the place is huge! And I'm taking a camera this time.

Happy Birthday Aidyn! Poor Christy, your heart must have been in your mouth.

I must go, I am up extra early to get work done when everyone is asleep and I've spent the whole time on BB! Back later

oh how exhausting Kelly!!! I was thinking I was having a rough day!!!

Wow Lulu that sounds like the meet up went fantastic!! Its too bad he didn't get to go, but hopefully next time!!!

12 days is too short katanya! I think I will feel a bit sad when Matilda hits 1... what a year...whew

Rough day is that Matilda decided that she didn't need to sleep again. Just laid in her cot singing and going la-la-la... when I went in after 45 minutes of it she was sitting with her legs dangling out through the bars in the cot and swinging them and I couldn't help but burst out laughing at her...too funny.

Hiya girls.... just popping in to say Bye for now, and I will see you all in the next forum soon!

Thanks so much for all of your lovely birthday messages for Aidyn!

*copied and pasted this from 12month + forum* -
Aidyns party went really well (I think!?) apart from the fact that it rained, which meant I had to have it at our house instead of the park... so I spent the whole morning madly cleaning and scubbing before the guests arrived...
So we had 20 adults and 5 babies/kids there... it was pretty crowded!
I am so glad its over... but I think DP and I are still both recovering. I HATE hosting things - I really do.. the few days beforehand were just so stressful, and I felt like I was ignoring everyone at the party cause I didn''t know how to spread myself around, LOL #-o
Anyway, I think next year we will just have a small family gathering, and Aidyn can have another big party when he turns 5, LOL

Oh yeah, surprisingly I wasnt too emotional or sad that he was turning 1... myabe a little I suppose, but it just makes me happy to see what a beautiful and lovely boy he is growing to be
    ***

Oh Christy, I feel so bad that I didn't help you with Matilda at the time of it happening... I must have been sooo distracted... I am so, so sorry! You know... whoever had my camera at the time has taken a photo of you and Matilda just as you were giving her a piece of rockmelon... I wonder if it was 'the' piece? How weird is that?!
I'm so glad she was ok though, I know how scary it is when they choke...

Well girls... this is it *sniff*... I guess I shall be talking to you all soon anyway! LOL

LOL Ambah it was the piece!! The only piece she got LOL I'll email you the "album" shot, we love it! Have no fear we will all be moving over soonish.

well...we are off to Sydney tomorrow for a long weekend and have Mother's Day with MIL... I'm going to have to grin & bear it, but tonight DH gave me a pressy wrapped from Matilda for my first mothers day so I would have something special on my own...very sweet... a cute little book on sayings by mums... quirky but since we agreed our Mother's/Father's days wouldn't be overdone perfect.
