Hi grubi,
having a boy made life easier for us.
We are getting BJ a sandpit, so when people ask what we would like, we are asking for buckets and spades and sand toys etc.
We are also getting him a clam shell thing for swimming and we are asking for similar things but for the "pool".
The only other idea we have had is for people get us vouchers for Pumpkin Patch so that we can buy him some nice clothes.
life is crazy
Glad to see everyone doing well.
Russell is still working on getting that 1st tooth through. its real teaser. hes eating mince and pasta now and is pulling himself up and commando crawling. so am constantly on my toes lol.
Have no idea about weedings as im not married and am not planning one for a while.
As for xmas, when people ask i though an easel or low table for him to use, sandpits, clams, no clothes!!! have way to many already up to size 2 .... but i do agree , buying for babies is like buying for your parents. its really hard!
Woohoo, I just bought Benjamin's 1st Birthday pressie.
We got it off ebay, its like the Little Tikes Cosy Coupe car, but its a Step 2 Fire Truck (Benjamin's Uncle is a firman!).
Was a bargain!
Hi Everyone
I just found this thread my DS was born on 30 April, he is almost crawling but still trying to cut those first teeth ARGG!
Just thought i'd pop in and say hi as i am relatively new to BB looking forward to chatting to you all
Hi KimmyF, Welcome (and welcome to Cooper too!)
I'm technically in the other thread (Benjamin was born April 7th), but I pretty much live in here!
Chrissy pressies... we're asking for books. Mem Fox ones are always good (you know Possum Magic?).
Liam loves his Jolly Jumper so we've dropped some hints about getting the music mat that goes with it and also the free-standing thing so we can use it outside (or in the kitchen)...
I don't think it will matter what I recommend, we'll get lots of crap anyway. Both DH & I are the eldest, but the last to have kids, so our families have waited a very long time to spoil him!
Oh - almost forgot! Welcome KimmyF!!!![]()

Thanks for the welcome ladies! For Xmas the grandparents are buying Coop a baby swing for the outdoor swing set, and the other set would like to buy him a little trike for when he gets older but i love the music mat for the jolly jumer idea, he loves being in there so much.
We have also asked for books but the auntys and uncles seem to think the noisier the toy the better!
Welcome Kimmy,
We are a small friendly group. Hope you enjoy being in here and just feeling like other understand what you/us are going though. I have found this a great place to vent/rant when am bored or mad at DH, well FH (future husband).
Xmas - I got Wyatt a little train and it pops balls out the back while the train is going forward. Along with some other large toys. Which should hopefully help him crawl. He doesnt need alot, as he can play with DS1 toys, but he does need some to call his 'own'. As for other family members they ask, and I tell them but in the end they are going to get something else for him.
Wedding plan - Have order DD flower girl dress of ebay. So am all excited. Me and MOH and BM are going to try dresses on to morrow. I can't wait, I'll finally get my day of being a princess... So knowing my luck I wont get any sleep. I have to take Wyatt with me, yet DS1 is off to Grannies for the morning. THANK GOD.
Not alot else is going on. It doesn't matter how much I try to clean house it is messy again. Or if one room is done then move onto next room and the first room messy again. Am so over it ATM, so house looks like BOMB has hit it...
Anyway I better go sound like Wyatt has woken up.
Sarah - know what you mean about the bomb site... sometimes I think it's worse because DH is a stay-at-home-Dad, so there's someone home all day to make mess! He does do a lot of housework though...
Nettie: You are lucky then, your DH knows how to do how work. I am sure mine is just dum. I asked him to put his clothes in washing machine the other day, and he did. Ramed as many as possible. Not really sure how they got washed. Then he took them all out and wacked them into dryer. I have a 6.5kg washing machine and only a 4kg dry...
Anyway am off to try and get sleep for wedding gown shopping 2 morro... Am all excited...
Nite all
Have fun & enjoy yourself!![]()
I'm Heart Broken... The dress I like no-dress store has something simlar, and what they did sort of didn't suit me.
Am not sure what to do now. I have decided I'm not doing white, will be going a dark ivory to gold almost...
Anyway will post some pic some.
Aw Sarah thats such a bummer.
Do you know anyone who can sew?
That sucks!
Don't give up hope - keep looking!
Good luck.
Morning all,
I have FAITH... We went dress shopping yesterday, and i tried a dress on with a proper hoop skirt under it. Were the day previous i the ladies in the store only gave me a very little petti coat. So my FAITH is renewed.
I will attach some photo of the dress I was in yesterday.
Oh my goodness I'm so excited I wanna cry!
We have been revisiting the unwrapping issue for sleep....I've been putting Benjamin in a grobag, but with his arms inside it.
It wasn't going too badly, but he's been getting less and less sleep...and last night, after 2 hours of him being awake, I wrapped him out of desperation. He was able to roll around whilst wrapped, and get out of it eventually which sucked, then he rolled around so much in his sleeping bag (with his arms in) that it ended up on him backwards.
This morning, I decided, we just have to bite the bullet...I put his "seatbelt" back on (his safe t sleep) so stop him moving around too much as he just ends up overtired and won't settle), but put him down with his arms out (wearing his grobag properly).
He settled himself after about 20 minutes of protest (but more just wingeing and talking) and slept for 45 minutes, then woke, cried, winged and talked for about 5minutes and then, went back to sleep and has been asleep for an hour and 20 minutes...
We CAN do this.....
I hope everyone is going great!
Woohoo...its 6:26pm and we are 3 for 3...his morning sleep was as mentioned (he ended up going an hour and a half), his arvo one was only 45, but he had a poo and wouldn't re-settle, and he has been in bed since about 6:05pm and after about 2min of yelling, its all quiet on the western front...we shall see!

Wow, BW, that sounds great... We have not yet even bothered to try with our arms out yet. Wyatt has his anit roll things so he knows he can't roll and doesn't even attempt too. I dread the day we do have to let him sleep with his arms out. He will just be like BJ and not settle. Or settle or 10 minutes and then awake.
* It's ok to let them have a wing and talk to the selves... Wyatt has been doing that since he was 6 weeks old. Other would call in Comfort crying. But I don't let Wyatt get worked up.
Wyatt update:
He is crawling FORWARD. He was doing the whole comando crawling but he was going backwards. So the other night he was on his tummy and no pants/nappy on and DH put his hands behind Wyatts feet so he could push off them and off he went. So now slowly he can come to mum. I was sitting infront of fire last night and he was over near DH and he was getting tried and crabby and just wanted his mummy, so I held my hand out to him and over he came, too him a good 2 minutes to get there. He had to have a wing every move. So now I am in for trouble again.
Just when the wooden gates got put away from DS#1 they now have to go back up again. Just the kitchen on.
Wedding update:
Plan's are slowly coming along...
Does anyone know what is a "Panda Lighting machine" I've tried to google it, but one panda's came up...
You might all be of help which VEIL do you think would go better with my dress in gallery?? Wasit or fingertip? They both look good, but am sure and the dress will be puffy, (4 hoops) so I am think fingertip will get lost, but wasit on might may me look fat...
Anyway better go, we have to go to playgorup
