Nickers,
I'm hearing you on the bombsite, my house is a nightmare at the moment and with 3 girls you can only imagine the presents they got, I've had to rearrange all their rooms and move things around everywhere to make room for everything. Olivias things have taken over the whole house!! I think your family would undestand if you explained to them what Nixon really needs instead of them buying things he would never use. My family generally asks what to buy. The problem is at this age their things take up so much room.

Nicers - I had my mum and dad over for lunch - i really wanted charlie to poen his toys at home. Then of to Gav's family for Tea - there was about 15 of those!! it was rather large - Charlie was grumpy all day but that was ok. How many at your family xmas??

I hear you all on the amount of toys - i have had to take to xmas tree down just to find room for stuff. Unbelievable! - I set charlie up a bank account the other day so hope fully i can just get people to deposit a small amount of money instead of presents - he really has soo many!

Mmmmmm - I can hear him doing a poo!!! great!!! ( wish gav was hear so i could do the "you touched him last " rule and then i would get out of changing it!!!

Ok I'm back

I think Charlie has lost a bit of wait over the last 5 days being sick - he is only just back on solids today - and that was only farrex. The nappies that i was thinking are getting a bit tight on him now seem to be loose on him - I will take him back to the doctor on monday.
To make matters worse for the poor kid his 2nd bottom tooth has come thru in the last day and the 2 top ones are really pushing hard on the skin.

I am loving this crawling stage - if i want him i just have to call him! and its so cute how he crawls around looking for me calling out mumumum

Susan - good luck on the engagement party!! I miss organising all that stuff! I had a ball organising my wedding.

Well i best be off - charlie and i are going out to Bridgewater Bay ( the beach ) gav started riding his bike out there today - its about 40klm - charlie and iare meeting him there for lunch then we are taking charlie for a swim in the beech

Bugger he has just ripped up a whole role of toilet paper wHile i was typing - i knew the quitnest was to good to be true!

Jacci- we had about 20adults and 5 kids at mums on xmas day!
hope u have fun at the beach. our xmas tree is still up but i plan to move things around a bit once it is down also. i went and bought a couple of boxes today to put some of his stuff in.
Nixon was a nightmare to get to sleep this arvo, took over an hour, both of us and many methods b4 he finally settled down, im guessing more teeth are coming cause he is being so clingy like b4.

Hope you are all well! We have had visitors so I have been a bit too busy to post but have been trying to read all the news. We have had my parents and sister and her Df here for a couple of days so Abbey got a heap more chrissy presents. Mum and dad got her a rock an roll dinosaur thing and my sis and her df got her a blow up pool with balls to make a ball pit, so she has had fun playing with those plus all the other stuff she got lol. MIL turned up yesterday too, and is already getting on my nerves lol i know shes excited to see abbey but she won't let her do anything without thinking she will hurt herself. So she stops her fom pulling herself up on stuff etc, its getting annoying.

Kelli...Welcome back!! Good to hear that everyone is doing well and can't wait to hear more about everything.

Jacci... I'm so glad that charlie is starting to feel better. He should start putting on weight now he is eating again. wow on all the teeth! I know taht abbey is up to mischief if I can't hear her either.

Mitch...I have had lots of sleep problems with abbey.She is only just starting to go to sleep in her cot but only stays in there for 3-4 hours at night before she is back in with me. Have you tried co sleeping, or is that not an option? I hope you get some sleep soon.

Nickers.. Nixon does look very cute in your ticker. I'm all for revealing our SS'sbut I won't until they say they want to know.I forgot to look at the postmark on mine so I can't even narrow it down hehe I'll guess mine was Theresa!

Thanks that new pic on Nixon's ticker was a professional photo so i cannot take the credit for it. This along with 2 other pics (also uploaded on website) is what Nixon gave DH for chrissy. he was so stoked with them cause he didnt even know we had them done.

Amanda- i can now reveal that Abbey's SS was Nixon! hope she liked it i put my sisters address as the return address to throw u off incase u were figuring it out!

My SS was norty and either didn't send Charlie's pressie, or it's gotten lost in the mail. Oh well!

Sleep: I was down with food poisoning yesterday and wouldn't you know it, Charlie was fussy all day! Luckily he slept almost all night! Lol!

I am off to a party for new year - a very hoity toity one!! not looking forward to it really! - i'm going to duck down to one of my friends 30th also. Charlie is having a sleep over at grandmas.

Charlie went to his grandmas at about 12 - she had to go to wrrnambool and wanted to take him with her - so it was nice to have some just me and gav tme - we rode our bikes for about 17klm - in the middle we stopped down the street and had some lunch - was really nice - can't remember the last time it was just me and gav.

Any way - hope you all have a great new year!! - I'm off to wash and straighten my hair!!! theres about 2 hours gone - as my husband says!!!

Sush- bummer i hope Charlie's SS present shows up soon, i thought aus post was doing really well with delivering everything. Wasn't me though im sorry.

Tonight- walking about 10 steps to the neighbours house! Its a 70's & 80's themed dress up NYE party so just pulled out the daggys we wore to an 80's party back in july.
Best part is when its Nixon's bedtime we will put him to bed go back to the party with the monitor which will still be in range & come back and check on him.

Im looking forward to when DH & I can drop Nixon off at nan & pops for a whole night, we havent had that luxury yet so enhoy it Jacci!! well we might be moving back to syd in 3-4months and babysitters will be much easier to find!

ok enjoy everyone & speak to you in the new year! Its been a pleasure to have gotten to know you all since having my little man in April, if it wasnt for Nixon's early appearance i may have never gotten the opportunity to meet such caring and considerate people which such lovely babies/children. Thanks for all of your support since that time and here's to an exciting 2007!

I'm engaged.. Chris asked me last night! He was all romantic and took me for a picnic dinner at the lookout and proposed afterwards. I'm so excited!

Jacci, poor Charlie, sending him some more get well wishes. When Holly had her throat infection, she wouldn't eat lumps & was gaggingso just gave her milk or pureed fruit that day. Oh very cute, or should I say handsome.

Can't believe the strength lil bubbas can have, tis amazing huh. Well Holly's pullin herself onto everything now & has had a couple of spills, but to be expected. We had a lovely xmas. Started spotting NYE, hoping to get a quick u/sound on Tue, even though I did with Holly too.

Nicers - that is great that you can go to your neighbours and you can leave the monitor on! - We don't use our monitor much - but i should now that we go out in the garden a fair bit.

yep another hung over one here! we didnt get to bed till about 3.30am i think??? Nixon was a good boy and slept in till 10am!! but he has just gone back to sleep now and i think i am about to aswell.

He was pretty romantic about it.. He made me close my eyes while we were driving and drove up to the lookout. He then set up a picnic, and we had a nice dinner. He then asked if I wanted dessert and made me close my eyes again, and he opened a bottle of Moet and when I opened my eyes he was on one knee in front of me with the most gorgeous ring. It was a bit big so I need to get it resized but I will post a pic of it soon. So it all happened about 930 and then we came back home and had some frineds over to celebrate. I had no idea but everyone else had already guessed lol

Shell... Hope the spotting turns out to be nothing, but how exciting you might get to see bubs already.

Haven't seen Abs for a while, he must be recovering from chrissy and NY

still feel like crap here, been doing nothing all day, tomorrow we are starting our healthier lifestyle more excersing, no more alcohol for a while and lots of fruit & veg! determined to stick with it this time because i feel so uncomfortable and dont like the look of myself atm.

Nickers, yep, correcto-mundo... it was him - I was trying to throw you off :p I'm not gonna say who ours was as the "return address" gave it away even though the name of "April SS" (or whatever it was) was just to fool the postie. There's a piccie of Jordy's SS pressie on the Dec 18 photo's. A very nice top and pants


2 upper teeth for us now - still no sign of crawling, barely even up on his knees but certainly lifts his head way off the ground. We've had friends from Brissie stay for the last 4 nights, who have a 2.5yr old and 11month old (both girls). Guess who has been learning heaps of cool new things. This morning I caught him pulling himself up on the front of the couch. Got the next one (a few minutes later) as 3 piccies... Also added a heap of pictures today and some info on his website

We had already babyproofed the house for the visitors kids, so its basically all done Jordy wise - phew, what a task


Our New Years was pretty quiet... watched the 9pm fireworks on tellie whilst eating dinner. The others where having seafood and I was having a delicious piece of steak I cooked on the bbq... oh boy it was good. We then watched Flying High on the big screen with the other 3 sneaking off during the movie. That finished about 11.30, so I did a bit of work on Jens website and crawled in beside her right on the stroke of 12 and gave her a NY's smooch

The friends left just after lunch, so once we were home from taking them to the airport, we got a NY DTD in - finally. Too many kids about for the last few days. And several previous attempts have ALL been interrupted before anything too exciting happened by Jordy waking too soon.

Oh, NYE morning, Jordy woke at like 6am, since the friends kids were in his room, Jordy was in with us. So we changed his nappy and gave him a bottle, then played on our bed. At 7.30 he was getting tired, so back to his cot... Jen went back to sleep, and I came downstairs. Jordy slept til nearly 10am, and so did Jen. Wow, what a difference a few extra hours sleep made to her :o



Awww shucks Nickers, glad you felt welcome in joining in our little group. We all got to know each other during the pregnancy timeframe, and it has been brilliant being able to keep up with most (there's been a few dropouts - jmac, kellyw, jelliebean who I occasionally talk to on MSN, etc)

Woohoo Amanda (and Sooz going back a few pages now)... Assuming you can all keep it from Jen, well we have Jordy's naming day planned for March 25. I know certain members of my family are coming, so I am gonna pop the question on maybe Valentines Day... Jen is good friends with the celebrant, so we'll have more than the 30days cooling off period thing required. I do know where my birth certificate is - tis here on my desk (somewhere, I saw it the other day). So it will be a surprise addition to the naming day celebration then. Hehe Jac, I'd already written the above before I read your comment (typing it into notepad as I read all the posts then will copy and paste as one big reply)

Amanda, been soo busy with keeping the visiting friends occupied and also doing some upgrades to Jen's website - me been a very busy boy lately - but now that they are gone, tis basically back to normal now

Same new years resolution here Jac & nic - although apparently if you call it a resolution you wont stick to it?? (who comes up with these things?) so it's a goal over here that by chrissy this year I'm down to my goal weight (20kg to lose) & fit & healthy. SO determined this year, mind you having all these leftovers in the house doesn't make for a very good start :)

Theresa - YAY for Georgie's teeth & having solids. How's Em going with her eating?

My little man is crawling around everywhere & is pulling my cookbooks out of the bookshelf as I type. He's into so much more than Janae ever was, so he keeps me on my toes. I had to lower his cot too coz he's started pulling himself up onto everything.

SS - thank you SO much to Josiah's SS - I'm guessing Amanda? It's the most gorgeous little outfit - I just have to try and get him to keep the hat on. I'll have to take a photo & put it on the website. ATM tho, I'm trying to get a stain out of the shirt coz Mark ironed it & theres a little plastic thing on the shirt that he got to close to & it started to melt - I was so upset coz it's the most gorgeous little shirt, I've been looking everywhere to see if i can get another one, so if you can help me out SS.... :)

I am glad to hear that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, shame I can't say the same, I was sick from Christmas Eve and am only just starting to feel okay now. The little man was also sick Christmas Day so didn't make for such an enjoyable time!!!

I also have the goal of losing about 20kilos I want to loose atleast 7 -10 by April. I am already lighter than hwen i got pregnant - but i was overweight to start with

Nicers & Bel - We should start an email that we email our weight loss every week and then it will make me more keen when i have to tell some one else that i didn't loose weight this week!!! I think the worst thing is that Gav always compliments me and never says i'm fat. I wish he would just every now and then! that way i would get my butt into gear!!

Abs - good luck for the 25th of march! Hope she doesn't find out coz she'll love the suprise! Glad Jordy is sleeping well! he'll get up and crawl one day


well i feel better today - no hang over! charlie had a bit of a screaming session at 4 am but other than that he was great - he didn't get up till 9 am

Oh, thank you so much Jacci - I absolutely love it! You know the little plastic thingy in the middle, that's what started to melt, so the zebra is smudged & there's black on the shirt :frown: I'm hoping I can get it out of the shirt, but the zebra is ruined...Mark is never doing ironing again!!

I'm definately liking the idea of emailing u my weight loss each week. I'm doing ww online atm too, but it's so easier to skip coz nobody knows me - at least u'll hunt me down if I try and hide :lol:

I've tried doing the weightloss email thing years ago - joined Jenny Craig and was emailing some good friends of mine with the results... slowly I stopped sending it out, but I got to about 10k's and then met Jen - she hated the fact that I was only eating their food so I slowly stopped doing it

of course now I'm heavier than before that :evil:

hmm, just been to the funeral of her mums bestest friend. The priest was flown up from Tassie as he is a good friend of her mum and Joyce (the lady who passed away). As we were on our way to the church, Jen is going through all the various names of who will be there etc etc & made a comment along the lines of if she ever found someone she'd want to marry that her parents would fly him up to do it. Oops :oops: I'll have to suss this out to see if she'd be okay with her celebrant friend doing it

Jacci, u not fit, hahahah yeah right, u've gotta be the fittest person I know, with all ur 12km walks/rides, basketball, netball, etc, did I miss anything, hehehe. Know what u mean though, I lost all but 2kg, but still wanted to get back to my pre-wedding weight, will have to wait til after this bub now.
Good idea on the email thing. At work, we had the 'fat club', hehe, a group of us that wanted to loose weight all joined a 12wk work weight loss committment & got weighed in once/wk & had to pay money when didn't loose or somethin like that & money earned went towards feast at end. I piked & told them I'd do it but on my own using WW info (wedding was comin up), I went from 72kg to 58kg, but started at 62kg with Holly & 64kg with this littlun, doh. I certainly pigged out over the xmas break & unfortunately have already gained 1-2kg, just like last time (as pigged out whilst on our NZ hol back then), so not starting out good, naught me. Back to aqua though & started back at tap when Holly was 3mths old. :)

Oooh how exciting Abs, hope u can hold out with not telling everyone your news for few wks after. DH & I couldn't hold out for 2wks (til xmas day) with our news so blabbed early, hehe.

Theresa, I soooo hope ur wish comes true, although with zero hospital visits instead. :)

Sounds like we've got more crawlers in here, batten down the hatches, hehe, there's 2 more bubs in mums group crawling too now. Congrats Bel & Jacci(from memory). Yeah Bel we had to lower our cot few wks ago as Holly started pulling herself up onto things, but still hasn't pulled herself up in her cot though.

Oh Lisa, that's not fair, hope ur both feeling better now.

Well DH & I were party poopers & went to bed at 10pm, also was babysitting my 9yo nephew, hehe.

Well no scan, the fill-in Dr's receptionist returned my call at 3pm & said so long as it's not red & there's no cramps that it's all normal, besides it has stopped today (but no doubt will come & go for few days at a time just like with Holly & was all fine then.) :) Oh well, no early scan, will have to wait til my apmt on 19/1. I'm far more relaxed about it this time, although wasn't for the first few hrs, with Holly I was freakin out til got the scan, hehe.

good to hear all is okay Shell... and Jac, just teasing ya luv - I know I'm an honorary chick in here (shhhh)

Oh and Shell, we managed to keep the pregnancy news quiet until we were ready to tell, this will be easy. And woohoo, we both have our bubs hitting 9 months tomorrow !!

DH & i took our weights chest and waist sizes today.
ive been to the gym for a pump class and took the dogs on a walk. Day 1 off to a good start! keeping it up is the hard task.
