Abs - Pics were great, you n Jen look so happy. good idea with surprising everyone!

BIG NEWS - bub #2 is another GIRL!!! not as upset as I was when I found out Sarah is a girl but still really want a boy. Oh well there's always next time... (yes i am a glutton for punishment)

Grandma's funeral went really well but I was more emotional than I expected. I blame it on being pregnant even though I am a bit of a crybaby anyway. It was nice being able to finish the day on a + with the scan.

Sarah has another tooth at the top! now 4 across the top and 2 at the bottom.

so relieved that all the stressful stuff that's been happening is done with.

Scan went great today, everything perfect. Bub even gladly revealed his/her gender, not going to reveal to anyone until Sunday though. Think we have picked a name now (today), but won't be revealing that until birth. Stats & few pics are in my www (milestones & photos).

oh shell how exciting! glad that bub end up revealing its gender for you, going to look at your updated pics now!

Hi Everyone!

I have been MIA as we have just moved. SO I have been busy moving and unpacking and in the middle of all that we had a businnss trip to sydney. Everything is so hectic ATM and I don't know when it will slow down. I am trying to plan Abbeys bday party too. Oh well lol

Ok so its been prettyquiet in ere.

Abs...Congrats on getting married and the day going so well. It sounded like a realy special day for everyone. The pics are great, Jordy looks so grown up.

Becky..WOW just 2 more sleeps. Its coming around very quickly! I hope the party is lots of fun!

Shell... Great to hear the scan went well. I can't wait to hear if its pink or blue. I'm guessing pink though.

Welcome ALi... Congrats on another little girl. How exciting!

I can't remeber anything else. I'm so tired. Abbey just went to sleep. She has been so grumpy the last few days. I don't know if she is teething again, or is getting sick, or is just out of whack with moving and going away. She is just so clingy and sleepy and sooky. Hopefully she feels better soon.

On a happier note, she has started standing without pulling herself up on anything. But still not game enough to take any steps unassisted yet though. SHe looks like she will but then quickly sits down like she is scared.

We are still having sleeping problems. She just does not like the cot. She will go to sleep fine in bed with me, or on the mattress in her room but it takes ages to get her to go to sleep in her cot. Even when she does sleep she wakes every fourish hours. I have been bf as its the quickest way to get her back to sleep, but am not sure if she needs it. I am thinking of getting her a proper bed as soon as she can walk, and see how she goes in that.

Other than that no real news here. We have a new computer and I am still trying to put everything we need onto it and set it up.

Yikes on the sleeping Amanda - I guess breast milk is one thing that it doesn't hurt to "overdose" on... good for you for going this long. I do remember Jen feeling a little lost when she stopped as I'm sure some of the others might have too

And in all honesty, the image for me of Jordy being feed via her breast is one of natures amazingly very cool things.


Thanks for the words re pics... hanging for some others to cough up with what they took :( Nerida the photographer will be a little longer with her shots as she's had some time away from work due to being sick, thus all her clients have been pushed back

The three of us have been crook with a cold too - though again I've just had a mild case of the sniffles

And big news, Jordy is nearly walking. He can stand on his own for pretty much as long as he wants. He was standing at the gate via the laundry yesterday and then let go (as he has done before). I thought about stepping back some - over the next few hours of trying this a few times, his best effort was equal to about 7 or 8 of my normal steps. He only stopped when he was beside a chair that he could grab onto. Each time as he was coming closer to me, I'd walk backwards away from him

And each time he was cacking himself with ahhhh's on his achievement. Won't be much longer before he does it all on his own

Thanks everyone... It has just come as a suprise to me as she used to be the best sleeper, slept through from very early. Its just since she has been mobile, but we will get through it.

Can you believe that they have just started up the thread for Babies born in April 2007. It seems like just yesterday that we were all there, waiting for our babies. I can't believe it has been a year already.

Theresa.. Yay for georgie eating. I hope Em feels better soon and starts eating. Do you think she is a bit scared after all the problems eating caused before?

Baby Girl due 20Aug.

Holly's party went great today, she had a ball, after me forgetting to schedule in an early sleep as her normal nap time is when the party was on. She loved her sandpit, got heaps of lovely clothes, a gorgeous mink blanket, a homemade quilt cover (80% complete), sandpit toys, books, diamond cross necklace (birthstone), tub tunes, playdo, shoes, hair accessories, $ for her 1st bank acnt, etc. Will have to get the pics uploaded Mon/Tue, sis has most of them on her camera.

Well we're havin an early night, hope all are well.

Woohoo om another girl Shell!! I knew it lol. Holly will have lots of fun with a little siter so close in age to her. Glad that the bday party went well...Holly sounds like she was spoilt as she deserved to be.

I've been waiting to hear the news Shell Congratulations! Holly and bub are going to be great together, i see how fun my two neices are having now (18m appart) and i think it would be so nice for Nixon to have a brother, but then i'd really love a girl so who knows, we'll find out though pretty sure.
well thats 2 out of the 3 of us found out its a girl i wonder if i can make it a hat trick or keep with the same sex of our firsts. I wont be able to find out for about 8 weeks though doh!

Hi Ladies & Abs

Just a real quick one from me today. Declan has been really crook with tonsilitis and fevers. We spent Thurs night up at the hospital in the Children's ward again, Declan's temp reached 40 and they were having trouble keeping it down, a dose of nurofen and panadol seemed to do the trick, they also changed his antibiodics to straight penicilian.

Shell - Congrats on the new little princess. I too have 2 nieces who are 10.5 months apart and they are great friends (well most of the time hehe). Glad Holly's party went well.

Nickers - Won't be long that 8 weeks will come round quickly

Becky - A happy belated birthday to your little Declan.

Abs - Glad everything went well for the wedding and naming day. Happy birthday to Jordy for tomorrow (just incase I don't get on)

Thnx girls, yeah I know they'll have lots of fun together, my sis & I are 17mths apart & these 2 will be 16.5mths apart if she arrives on time. I also know others whom wanted 2 girls or 2 boys for same reasons, as they were they only had a brother, so I'm glad, at first I was a little disappointed, but only a bit & we're over the moon now, 2 cute lil girls I can dress up so pretty & hopefully they'll do ballet/dancing just like mummy, can't wait to see.

Ooh Nickers, that 8wks will fly by, being as though it's #2, hehe, well it did for me.

Oh Amy, hope Declan makes a speedy recovery, poor lil man. Yes my GP told me about using panadol & nurofen (but usually intermittently) for if u can't get the fever down, when Holly's went up to 39.8. That's not fair on Declan, hate to see bubs sick & nothin u can really do to stop it.

Taken day off work today as A/L, actually dropped Holly off at Day Care 1hr late (8:10) & went back to bed, woke at 12pm, hehe, was feelin crap, sore head etc, think im gettin a cold again, doh, oh well, gonna enjoy some 'me' time today.

re Walking. Jordy is coming along leaps and bounds... its sooo cool. I try and make him stand somewhere, not necessarily having him hold my hand. Sometimes easier if he is hanging onto something else first... I think start walking away backwards and clap my hands saying "come to daddy"... He grins and laughs BIG TIME as he chases me. Occasionally he gets up a bit too much speed and topples over... fortunately never hitting his head on the tiled floor as that'd hurt a lot

Shell- yeah i'd love to have a little girl that wanted to do dancing like her mummy did, thats why i'll prob end up with two rough footy head boys lol!
Nixon got his first footy jersey off his pop (FIL) its a NRL Sharkies one.....
i go for the Dragons myself and had no say in it so next bub boy or girl will get a Dragons jersey!
im glad you got some napping time in, hope your not coming down with something though.

Amy- i hope poor declan recovers soon. He is gonna love his birth date when he is a bit older always getting a day off school or work hehe!

Mitch thanks Ill do that now!
Declans party was lots of fun but unfortunatly my little man took ill as you know he was already not so good but got considerably worse the day of his birthday refusing to eat or drink anything, I took him to the hospital on Sunday they sent me home with strict instructions to make him have gastrolite etc and try to rehydrate him Sunday afternoon he just got worse grisling non stop and being very lathargic this morning I took him to the GP as his eyes were starting to go all sunken and he was just not a happy chappy at all ! The GP sent us to the hospital to get bloods and then go to casualty bloods showed he had a viral infection we had to stay in hospital syringing liquid into him as he continued to refuse to drink we had to stay there until he passed urine which happened at about 4:45 (we got to the hosp at 11:20) we were then sent home and were to continue to syringe every so often small amts on the way home he had a massive spew the nurse rang us as we forgot to take hom the stool sample jar so she is bringing it out to us later tonight actually any minute now and is going to check on our lil man how nice is that, this is in her out of hours and she offered! Don't come by nurses like that very often! Anyway all in all we haven't had much fun these last few days I have a headache from all the screaming today OMG he was not happy esp when they were trying to get a blood sample which took 20mins you can only imagine how grumpy declan was!

Jacci, I'm 10 yeras older than you are hun! Now THAT"S old! Lol!

Charlie is starting to try to stand by himself for a few seconds at a time, and isn't even close to walking. We've sent our his birthday invites to family and friends, and he's already started to receive pressies. He's gotten a Step 2 table and chairs set from us and a Little Tykes car from my parents and his godfather. My MIL got him a very schmiko ride-on mouse and his godmother bought him a Leap Pad. They're all hidden in the back room!

The other bit of news is that I've weaned him off the boob. I didn't want to but circumstances led me to make the decision. He's been off for about 3 days now, and seems none the worse for wear. I, however, have boobs of steel atm so can't wait for the milk to dry up! Just sad I didn't make it to his first birthday.

Sushee- glad to hear Charlie seems to be coping well without the boob, how do you feel about it? i felt a little sad when i stopped all together for the first few weeks, now it seems like a distance memory and my boobs will be getting ready to nourish baby 2!

Sushee... Well done for bf for so long. I saw your other threads and know what you were going through so it must've been hard to decide. I have considered weaning Abbey too but I don't think she would be impressed. She is still feeding overnight and I couldn't be bothered getting up for bottles etc. lol I hope you boobs of steel settle down soon.

Thank you, Amanda:hug:. I feel a little like I've failed in my objective to feed well into toddlerhood, but it's nice to be told I've done well to have gotten so far. Charlie actually didn't wake last night at all. I think he figures he's not getting the boob anyway so why bother? A happy side effect and I'm not complaining.

Nic, I'm sure I'll feel better about it soon. I'm a little sad, I have to admit. I think I wanted him to stay a baby for a while longer. He hasn't even weaned onto a bottle, just a cup, and he only has about a cup of cows milk for the entire day. My ABA counsellor reckons it's more than enough as he gets dairy from other sources, like his evening tub of yoghurt and the milk in his breakfast oats. Without him taking a bottle or boob, though, it feels like he's a toddler now, and no longer a baby. So sad!

mixed - still getting over the cold. He didn't like being in day care at all, cried heaps, threw up his lunch so Jen picked him up after about 90 mins. She has just returned home from todays try. Apparently he wasn't happy this morning either - lets hope he settles today. She hasn't done ANY invoices for her work in several months, so that is the plan for today

And just some more books and couple of little things from us. Jen's parents and brother popped over during the arvo so that was nice

The Party went well aside from Declan being sick as you can see he scored really well we had around 40 people attend of that was about 15 kids or so we played pass the parcel had an awesome train cake my dad made for declan and lots of yummo party food! I will upload some pics now I have a chance declan is aslep, so I will see how I go!
