WOW Congrats Amanda you lucky thing I wish i was pregnant again at least I can get all the sleepless nights out of the way then!
Declan woke 3 times last night but I got him back to sleep in his bed pretty quick so that was ok he came into bed with us a 6:15 so that was great the last few nights it has been between 2 -3 that he wouldn't go back in his bed!
hehehe becky... just read you ticker .... Cosmic Cathy aye...
Hope Declans sleep starts settling down soon.. Is his room really dark at night.. if it is have you tried leaving a dull nightlight on??
Congratulations amanda! very excited for you.
wow 4 april buddies pg again, who's the next cab off the rank!
are u guys still doing the biggest loser? who are u all going? im going to be having a 10yr highschool reuion 1 month after bub is due so god help me i wanna try and look a little bit UN pregnant by then!
mitch- i understand the worries etc about having another prem/ c section again its a tough one. i have a feeling this one might come early too but i dont know if thats just cause i know thats a possibility now where as before the thought never really entered my mind.
my sil should have her bub very soon. she is actually due tomorrow which is so ironic cause Nixon was due on the 1st June last yr (freaky) she found out tues she is now high risk and may need a blood transfusion when bub is born so we're all sitting on the edge of our seats atm.
HAHAHA Mitch yes she says I will have a little bubba girl due in August and she said that my reading was on a 2 cycle i.e. it could happen in either 2 days 2 weeks 2 months or 2 years so either Im pregnant now and don't know it or August 09 Yeah we have tried light on and off but no
Becky... does Declan sleep in a made up bed or a sleeping bag... Lexy kept waking cause she was out of the blankets or upside down & round the wrong way LOL... So I brought her 2 gro sleep bags & Now we have no probs doesnt matter what way she is she is still warm LOL..
Will try & think of some other tips that may help...
Good question there Mitch - anyone else have their bubs into normal beds now ?? Jordy can do a 180 in under an hour of us putting him to bed (eg when we go in and turn his music off)
And we still are waking heaps too Beck. One night, one year, we'll get a solid nights sleep
Its funny, I seem to wake almost every time for the 4.30am feed, where he's actually fairly quiet. But can sleep solidly through earlier ones where he can be full on crying... Jen can't understand it, neither do I
Oh, congrats Amanda. Good luck with #2 (same for all of you). I still think heaps of the 9 in the freezer we have... but we just dont know, and time is slipping by :(
Hmm, Mitch, I might go use your ticker location to finally update Jordy's seeing it still is from last year :p
Hope you are all otherwise good
ABS.. Lexy is still in her cot... I am too chicken to change her to a big bed till she is less wriggly & can walk...
I was considering putting charlie into a big bed - he can get in and out of our bad - but like Jordy - he never ends up in the same spot twice. My cot turns into a bed so i'll wait and see hwow it goes.
I'm with you abs on the thinking about another child. I just don't know
Charlie is sick so has really just slept all day - he is throwing up flem all the time. he is on antibiotics again!!!
Biggest Loser - we have stopped doing our Biggest Loser emails - i don't know how they stopped - I just bought a Cross trainer it arrived today - it is great - i love it!!!! I have lost over 16 kilo's since i got maried now - and 12 kilo's since having a baby - so i'm fairly happy - but got the cross trainer coz it rains so much in portland that i can't go for a walk.
Becky - I have no tips for you at all - but I have the same as Mitch with the Sleeping bag - heaps easier and charlie has taught himself to walk in it. - hope he sleeps for you soon!!!
BTW - I got my cards read a few years ago and it said i would have 4 boys!!!! eeeeehhhhh - I'd be happy with 2 but 4 god!!!
ok going to hop back on my cross trainer whie charlie is asleep
jac
I have tried the sleeping bag thing didn't work. I donno anymore what to do I think I am just going to have to go with it!
hopefully he'll grow out of it becky
hi everyone babies love to have another one but have four girls already dont know if i could handle another girl if there was a way to know if i was having a boy i would probably condsider it.Ive still got jess in her cot not ready to move her scared she get up without me knowing if she slept in a bed.me and jess have been sick for the last three days shes getting better im getting worse so shes running around and im sick on the lounge not fun anyway better go
Jac - WTG on losing all that weight - that's an awesome effort. I totally forgot to send weights through - though am now weighing in at 71, so in total lost 23kg since I had Amber. Very happy with my little efforts!
Amanda - Congratulations! That's fantastic news. Here's to a healthy and happy pregnancy.
To all the other pregnant ones - have you found time is flying for your second (third or more for some)?
wow sooz - that is sensational - how long till the wedding - you will look awesome!!!
WTG for both Jac & Bec - sensational in fact !
Hope you feel better soon Jesabell
And Jac, feel free to send all that rain our way
Quiet here at the moment, Jen & Jordy have gone off to the Pregnancy, Baby & Children Expo - they've got free passes - which is easy, coz you can even print them from the website (I think she got hers from the Mother&Baby magazine thing)
Sooz and Jacci- hats off to you too, thats great the amount of weight you have both lost. I have to get straight back on the band wagon after this bub as i was pretty slacko after Nixon. I've only put on 1kg this pg so far but started off about 6kg heavier so calculating that as 7kg in total to date!
Nixon would fall out of bed without a doubt if he was in one. but we will have to put him in a bed prob b4 he hits 2yrs. Bub will start in the basinett but when he grows out of it will need the cot. If i have another small bub he can be in it longer but if he is a big baby wont last long in it.
Nix took his first steps last night! it was about 4 teeny weeny steps but dh had just got home from work and we were both there to witness it! very proud moment indeed.
he hasnt done it since but just glad we both seen it and didnt have to relay it to the other and wait for it to be seen again
Woohoo Nixon... way to go little one !
yay for nixons first step!
Jono n i are going out tonight and declan us staying with his nan could be interesting
have fun out... i need that every now and then.....
charlie has been at hospital 2 times in 3 days!!! he is really sick and is throwing up heaps. i am getting no sleep!!!
Hello everyone
Sorry I have been so slack but have been busy with a sick bubba and being sick myself doesn't help. We both started out with a bad case of the cold and Declan has developed pharengitis (sp??) and is also on ventolin syrup to help keep his airways open as he's been having difficulty breathing.
Amanda - a huge congrats to you and your DH on your :bfp:
Jac - congrats on Nixon's first steps. won't be long and you'll be running after him
Bec - how was your date?
Hi to everyone else, I'm still very foggy in the head so will come back and do more personals later.
To everyone I emailed I will email you again. If you want to be on my email list just let me know.
Our night out was good DH got shmashed me too a bit not as much as him but he wasn't smashed enought to forget to use a certain something bugger! oh well poor declan suffered a bit from seperation anxiety but he made it through the night without getting to worked up!
ohhh Becky, could there be some news in a few weeks time!! only time will tell.......
where is everyone?
I am here.. doing alot of reading but not alot of posting LOL...
4 months 9 days till we go on our honeymoon.. woohoo... then hopefully all going well we can start TTC #2 hehehe... Not that I am counting LOL
I'm here too - reading lots, but not heaps of time to post.
seeing everyone is in a counting mood - 3 weeks and 5 days until Mark & I go to Sydney for a week without the kids! I'm SO excited, but know I'm going to miss them like crazy. Josiah slept the night at my dad's last night and I wanted to go there this morning to see him!!
Becky - glad you got a night out, hope you at least got a full nights sleep.
Jacci & Amy - hope your boys are feeling better.
Way to go on Nixon's first step Nickers - won't be long before he's running around everywhere!
Best get to work - I'll check in later today.
Bel
Hi everyone!
I'm here too, but to lazy to post lol.
Becky.. Glad you had a nice night out. I have yet to do that as Abbey is still bf overnight. Hopefully I'll have time before the next one is here.
Nickers... Yay on Nixons steps. He is so clever. It won't be long till he is off now.
Bel.. Josiah looks so grown up in your ticker. He has gorgeous hair. Abbey is still a baldy.
Amy and Jacci.. Hope your boys and yourselves are feeling better.
Sooz and Jacci.. WTG on the weight loss, that is great.
Becky... If you find the answer to Declan sleeping you will have to let me know. Abbey still wakes a couple of times a night and because I am too lazy to get up to her we cosleep. I would love to have her sleeping in her own room all night.. I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I think I will freak out a bit when she first does it thinking that something has happened.
As for beds... I am hoping to have abbey in her own bed by the time the next one is here. I was thinking of getting the wooden bunk beds that can seperate into 2 single ones so I don't have to go out and buy another bed later on.
As for us we are doing well. Chris is away tonight doing business stuff up at Mount Hotham. We are hoping to start expanding up there for winter, so hope it goes well. Abbey is great.. wlaking so much more now, she has finally got the hang of it. Finally started her on wheat/gluten and so far is doing good which is a relief. I haven't been feeling too bad lately. A little sick and tired but overall i'm good.
Hi to everyone! Hope you are all well.
HI everyone!!!
Nicers - Any more steps yet???
Mitch & Bel - hope you both have awesome holidays. ( I'm with you bel - one night and i'm nearly dying to see him)
Amanda - did you get morning sickness with abbey???
My friend finally had her baby yesterday - 13 days overdue!!! a big baby boy 8 pound 9 - i looked up my book and charlie didn't get to that size till 6 weeks old!!!
Jacci..Congrats to your friend. Abbey was 9lb6 when she was born..its so funny to compare their sizes now lol
And I had no real MS back then either, just nausea, I'm hoping it stays that way.
Hiya ladies
NOthing much to report here, so haven't been in much plus been pretty busy
Excellent on Abbey's walking - now the fun really begins Amanda - Jen would love it if Jordy slept with us but I wont have it. I get bugger all of the kingsize bed as it is, as she loves having pillows all around her
Have fun on your holiday Bel - you'll be just down the road from us
Abs - How did Jen's thing go? A buyer yet?
Hi to everyone else, you guys have been quiet.
Declan is onto his 2nd round of antibiodics since he stuff hasn't cleared up fully poor mite. He's been really grouchy and clingy today hmm wonder what that could be.
no luck yet... she's now approaching someone to run the business and help grow it further... This friend has very similar thoughts about things as she does and was recently retrenched for firing someone who was actually a good friend of the board of the directors - well he was there to help clear out some of the non-performers, and calls a spade a spade not a rose. Unfortunately the BOD have too much control over that club :(
He got a nice payout (6 months) and after an interview with where he thought was his ideal location to go in as CEO realised it definitely wasn't what he dreamt it would be. So taking over the running of her business has very very much interested him.
Jen will still be working doing some parts but he'll do other stuff... and she does have quite a range of ideas. Some could push the business worth to several times its current income, if there was the right person to push it there. Its just that she isn't that head space in this part of her life - just wants to spend time with me and Jordy and to be able to go away for a week and not think work every couple of hours
We'll get there soon
Hi all.
Well i have the exciting job of painting my bedroom this weekend it is Blue at the moment - but a horrible yucky blue!!! and i am painting it cream with a chocolate brown wall, one of my friends owns the florist here and she is really good at art and creative stuff - she is doing me 3 canvases to go above my bed - I will take a before and after shot for u!
Abs - it wouls be horrible for jen not to be able to relax.
Amy - I'm hearing u on the antibiotics - feels like charlie has been on this course for ever!!!!
Just a quick hi.
Nickers - that's great with Nixon's first steps, Caden also took his first steps just over a week ago, no more since then. he has now decided to 'walk' everywhere in his knees. Really funny but not very practical!
We're doing ok, being pg with a little one on the ground is hard and very tiring, never realised just how much but we are getting through alright.
Caden's just started screaming gotta go
Joy- your almost half way through this pg too! have you had your ultrasound yet? are you or did you find out the sex? So far 3 of us April buddies are having the same sex as our first.
Well after getting so excited with Nixon's first steps he hasnt taken anymore hehe! Mum told me my brother did the same thing then didnt start walking for a further month after it. He lets go all the time standing there but not too confident in taking those steps.
Jacci- have fun painting. you must be patient. I dont mind the painting the main wall part but its the preping, undercoating and little fiddly bits that i get frustrated with
Abs- totally understand where jen is coming from. Having to worry about work issues every day is off the list for me too. caring for and watching our children grow takes the cake everytime
Nickers - We're not finding out again. Our ultrasound is this coming wednesday. We figure that we carry around a baby for 9 months its nice to have a surprise at the end. Caden will take 1-2 steps if we 'accidently' let go of his arms when we are helping him but he's not so keen on it really and in the end it doesn't really matter to us either. just as long as he's happy and active, of which he is both!
We're going out for lunch so i've go to go and get the little man and myself ready.
bye,
Hi all!
HE IS HOME!!!!!!!!!! bout time too!
Sarah took 1/2 an hour to get used to him again but showed him a few steps and is now daddy's little girl again.
Wow, 5 pg again! I think seeing the bub's face n learning all the stats is enuf of a surprise.
Abs - Still haven got round 2 changing ur ticker? good thing he can't read yet or he'd b sayin he's missed a year. 4 sum reason both my tickers have the same dates in them but the old one gives Emma's to go days 1 extra :dunno: y I can't change it. strange. It will b good 4 jen 2 have more time with u n jordy. CEO of a business is really a job that can b shared, there's enuf work 2 do!
Jacci - bet ur friend is glad it's over! 9 weeks is too long to go 4 me. I feel like a hippo! I can't pick Sarah up very much any more coz my back is seriously stuffed! How good it must b to roll over in bed without pain...
Thats enuf whingeing.
Amanda - Abbey will @ least b old enuf 4 a big bed b4 #2 arrives. Sarah can't b trusted yet. have just put second cot on layby but very lucky 2 find it 1/2 price. only $150! im stoked.
Sarah is being difficult to settle. I think Daddy doesn't go in with the attitude that 'he will win and she will go to sleep'. I think it's more of a 'will she go to sleep?' attitude. If u ask a kid if they want to go to sleep they will always say no even if they are exhausted in my experience.
hehe, we can tell when Jordy is ready for bed... his eyes go all hazy and wonky and out of focus
Big meeting here tomorrow - can't wait to see how it goes. Thank god for broadband and "peer to peer" programs and Skype. We have one little program that is awesome that if I change a file re Jen's website on my computer, it is automatically sent to both Jen's PC and a third PC. So if Toby does come on board, we'll install it there too. So we always know we all have the website files up-to-date on our computers,,, very important if making changes to files etc
Hope all those affected by the rain & stuff (or friends/family affected) have coped okay over the last few days. We had Foxtel and Bigpond Cable out for over 36 hours (noted it was down at 4am Saturday, came back after 4.30 Sunday arvo). We got drenched, but the drainage here is excellent so it all ran off
Oh, some new pics up on Jordy's website... and we finally have more than his 8 teeth. Some new ones are finally coming through, and causing him some grief :(
Oh yeah, at long last, the lemon tree I planted nearly 2 years ago - first 2 lemons off it yesterday - huge and JUICY! Jen made my fave dessert tonight (well this arvo) - lemon pie
Ooooh Alison, not long now... best wishes for a) Stephen finally back, and b) rest of the pg.
re the walking. What we did was heaps of holding hands. Once he had that down pat, he was holding onto a chair and I stood about 5 feet away from him. Said "come to daddy" and clapped my hands at him. He finally took those steps on his own towards me with the biggest smile on his face. I wont ever forget that
And how'd the painting go Jac ? We've only done one feature wall (in our bedroom - and shows it was done by us, the edging is pretty dodgy :p)
hi everyone my little jess has had the worst two weeks shes had a chest infection and just as shes getting over it she got a ear infection i feel so bad i want to cuddle her and make it go away i wish there was more i could do gotto go shes asleep im going to go to bed as well
Just a quick note..
Lexi had her 15 month check up today...
She now weighs 8.3kg (18lb 5oz) & is 72 cm tall...
My wee girl is not that wee anymore........ :(
Sorry, been MIA for a mth, will have to find the time to catch up on the past threads. Just bout to get ready to go to mums group.
Holly's taken some steps lately too, she's up to 6, however that was last Tue, only interested in taking 1-2 at moment. I'm with you Alison, when our toddlers start walking it will be far easier on our backs/belly's. Wow so there's 5 pg in here now, awesome, congrats everyone. There are 3 of us now in mums group preggas & another girlfriend too. :)
Hope ur all travelling well, well better go get ready, hehe.
Bit of a shock seeing all the flooding around here, we are up high so no issues, except for a slight drainage issue, water was up to our back step, but didnt come inside. We have gas cooking/HWS/heating so that was a bonus. Few streets away where we used to live were flooded half way up the walls as the creek overflowed, our old neighbours were evacuated by cops in tinnies. And that idiot of a captain of that coal ship ignored all the warnings, was 2.8km out & warned 3 days earlier to go 10km out due to bad weather approaching & to take on water to lower the boat (make it more steady in the water), ignored that too. Takes an hr to fire up the engines & he washed onto the beach within 30mins, he's gonna have a lot to pay for.
