Thanks for the birthday wishes Bel and yes I did have a great day and got spoilt. DH had organised a suprise limo ride to the beach with a picnic from his work but unfortunately the weather was off with wind and rain all day so the limo ride has been postponed and we had a picnic at home instead, which was still lovely (its the thought that counts). After lunch we went to a movie then to the shops came home for a bit and then we went to dinner at the chinese restaurant with my my DH, DS, folks, brothers, my brothers fiance, niece, our old exchange student & a wonderful couple & their daughter; so there was quite a few people & a bit of noise lol.

Hey all not much to report happy belated birthday Amy mine is on the 23rd! I will be 24 sounds so old hahahahaha Declan is due for his 18mths shots soon damn I absolutly hate taking him for these mind you last time he was fine. I am starting to get pretty busy with Harcourts Financial Services now starting to get alot of enquieries that in the next few weeks should hopefully result into alot of loan and inturn alot of comission it has however been pretty hards with declan here full time and trying to get work done he gets so crabby at me can't wait until the commission starts comming in so I can have him in day care a couple of days a week so I don't have to get crabby at him and him at me.

The house is still for sale we have had 30 ppl through in 7 1/2 weeks but yet to have an offer damn I hope it sells soon I really want to be settled into our new place by christmas thats for sure

not much else to fill you in on really I hope everyone else is doing really well and those with no.2's and no.2s not very far away I hope all is going REALLY REALLY well!!!!

    Hi all,

bummer bout the house becky, sum1 will fall in luv with it tho ! If I was in Tas I would happily take him 4 playdates while u work.

Happy birthday amy. Ur dh sounds very in tune with ur needs n wants so there4 must help a lot with declan. sounds like u got a good 1.

Emma has gotten back to birthweight! i'm so relieved coz she took the breast again on on friday with a nipple sheild and feeds properly. Sarah is running amok most of the time now n it's driving me nuts, i get 1 settled n the other starts up!

Ali- glad to hear Emma is back on track wit the feeding. Im guessing that the first 12weeks are the hardest, Sarah might be acting up more then usual to get your attention, as she is used to having you on her own and now little Emma is hear she's not getting as much mummy time. i hope she settles down soon.

oh becky 18m shots i had forgotten! not looking forward to it, Nixon really carried on at the 12m ones, is it only 1 needle this time? last time it was 3 and after the first 2 i think they know whats coming....

    amy
sounds like you had a great birthday and you have a very thoughtfull dh!

    Hi guys

Just popping in to say Hi to everyone. Also just want to see how everyone is fairing, hope you are all keeping well etc.

Has anyone heard from Jacqui, Mitch, Shell, Kate, Amanda or Abs? Seems like they have dropped off the radar.

Thnx Bec. Hope u get buyer real soon.

Thnx KellyW, hehe dont blame ufor wanting 1 this time. Wow u did well to BF twins for that long.

Jes, Holly is into evrything too. In morn she has bottle then shortly after has some of my weetbix, or some toast.

Glad things are improving with Emma Ali. I had to use shield with Holly until 7wks old & looks like same with Lanah.

WTG Amy on the tupperware. Things are going well thanks. Hope u had a great anniv & bday.

Oh no Bel, cheeky Janae, hehe. Ur doin 2 jobs as it is, F/T work & mum

    Theresa, how r ur girls?

ETA: The exzema or whatever it is is back & has been for about 2-3mths. I dont know if its food triggered or not, looks like a red rash around mouth/nose & very dry & flaky. It seems to look far worse after Vegemite & sometimes other foods, eg: bread but haven't been able to pinpoint it to a certain type of food. Would love to know what is causing it so can prevent it. Also Lanah has the redish hormonal rash on her face now. All around the time for photos too, Murphy's Law isn't it. Planning on having professional pics done in 1-2wks time.

Just a quick hi. Have missed heaps, i've been really busy helping DH set up our company. Heaps of learning on my part as I'm the official computer tech, secretary, accountant and general dogs body... Caden is fantastic and DH is great. We're all doing well, I'm off my tablets, getting ready for having the baby.
So will wait and see what the next few weeks bring.
take care, will check in again when i get the chance. Off to my fav. couch for a rest.

Joy- glad your all well, sounds like your very busy. ive just realised in the alst week i cant do as much as i had planned, just getting too physically drained these days

shell- can u get the allergy test done so maybe can determine if its yeast or something in the vegemtie? i had bad ezcmea over my belly a few weeks ago and the normal cream i use for it wasnt doing a thing, but i strated usuing the baby sorbalene cream a few times a day and it cleared up really well, wouldnt even know i had it
lol ali i agree with your comment on how easy newborns are on outings! although i may not have thought that at the time with nixon i look back now and think how we could go anywhere with him and he'd just sleep in the pram!
DH had to work all day and night today started at 6am, so i took Nix swimming by myself, that was an effort in iteself! Then went to mums for a scrapbooking day and my dad was pretty good and took care of him most of the day.
But otnight i went to my uncles 60th and i really struggled to keep up with Nixon!
It was held out the back and the side gate was left open for ppl to come through, once Nixon knew this he made several attempts to escape! knocked someones beer over, jsut the usual toddler stuff but without haveing dh there and me already being tired made it a tough night!
anyway just got home and heading to bed.

    Hey Guys!!

Where have you all gone lol, its been so long since anyone posted that we were off the first page! We must be busy little vegemites lol

We are here anyway, very busy with work, abbey is keeping us busy as well, and to top it all off we are all fluey.

I'm not sure if I posted this or not but I had my 19 week u/s a couple of weeks ago and found out that we are having a BOY! Now I am freaking out a bit because I dont know how to look after a boy, my family is all girls and I cant remember being around any boy babies. Oh well I guess I will learn quick enough lol.

We have also decided to get a new car. One that has room for both car seats and can fit luggage etc in for when we go away. We are looking at the Kia Carnivals, but haven't decided yet.

Abbey is doing really well, understanding more each day but still not talking a whole lot. I guess it will come sooner or later though. She is finally starting to put weight on and is starting to grow out of her 0 size clothes and into 1's.

Hi to everyone and I hope you are all doing well. Who is next due? Joy?

Ohh quick question for those onto their second bub what style pram did you get? A side by side twin pram or one where they sit behind the other? I am trying to decide which to get, but have no idea lol. I am thinking of using a HAB or a sling for the first little bit but would like the pram as a backup.

Well hopefully this reminds you all about this thread lol, and we can get back to posting.

    Talk soon!

I have a side by side as the tandem 1s are more likely 2 tip sideways n r apparently harder 2 steer.

Emma is in hossy @ the mo 4 dehydration n malnutrition so sarah is staying with my parents 4 a while. Emma cant bf properly so we mite b switching 2 formula, dunno yet as she is being fed by a tube.

    gtg pump!

Ali- oh so sorry to here poor Emma is in hospital. is there a reason she cannot bf? could she have tounge tie or something? one of the girls in June group had a terrible time with her bub feeding initially, he had the tounge tie cut and started latching on really well from then on.
i hope she gets better and can be home with you soon.

we bought a phil & Ted tandum. although lately Nixon doesnt last any longer then 5min in the pram without wanting to get out so dont know how he's going to go in it with bub aswell.

Amanda- congrats on finding out your having a little boy! its funny you get used to one gender, i remember when my sister and mum first changed one of nixon's nappies it was quiet strange to them! my sister has 2 DD and lots of friends with DD and mum hadnt changed a boy nappy since my brother who is 34!

i think im up next! 5 weeks to go and hoping no longer lol! anytime after 37w i will be happy, cause im trying for a vbac if i dont go into labour naturally after 41w i will have to have a cs which i hope doesnt happen.i think Joy is about 2 weeks behind me.

Joy, hope ur not working too hard. Exciting, 6.5wks to go.

Ali, hope ur all better quick smart. Yikes on Emma bein in hossie, hope she's feeding better now.

Wow only 5wks to go NIckers, bet u cant wait. It does get harder in the last tri, being so tired. Still unsure on whether to get allergy testing. Noticed when I gave her cheese the other day that it flared up again. So haven't given her any cheese or yoghurt for about 4 days (shame coz she luvs em) & it nearly disappeared, then yest arvo gave her one of those yoghurt covered muesli bars & more spots came out & bit more reddish. I have been applying baby sorbelene on/off the whole time & sometimes her prescribed Elidel cream too but dont want to use it too often.

Amanda congrats on a pigeon pair, im sure ull be fine with figuring out what to do with a boy. Most of our mums group have boys & most of em said they wouldnt know what to do with a girl, hehehe. The only tip i know of is make sure his willy is pointing down when putting a nappy on else will end up with wet clothes frequently, came from a friend, hehehehe.
We've been thinking bout getting a bigger car, had a look at 2nd hand imported Toyota HiAce SuperCustom vans as they have sooooo much room. Aussie HiAce vans are only work vans (hubby has one) not ppl movers, the ppl mover version is called a Tarago but theyre more expensive, diff layout & not as roomy. I was impressed & very tempted, not sure yet though. Personally we would never buy Kia, Daiwoo, etc, as DH is a mech & says poor quality (made in korea), but some ppl luv em, no offence to those who do. U know the latest Holden Captiva is actually made by Daiwoo. Many cars made by diff manufacturers & purchased by another manufacturer & they put theyre own badge on it & sell it as their own (eg: Holden Nova made by Toyota, its same as a Toyota Seca).
As for double prams, I went with a BabyLove Tandem Lite (orbital) tandem pram as far more stable ive heard than the 3 wheelers with toddler seat & no doorway/aisle trouble or toddler hitting/poking baby trouble like the side by side ones, heres my post explaining my reasons/research: Tandem Prams, which do you recommend?. I luv it too so easy to steer & reasonably light weight (12.9kg) & folds up very compact, more compact than many std prams. Got it at Target on a 20% off sale. Ended up paying $266 - $10 voucher from baby bag & RRP is $360. They r selling for $180+ 2nd hand on ebay so good resale value.
We've been contemplating on a 3rd child but not sure as we'd only really want to if get a boy, who knows.

Gee lots of chatting since I as last on. Re the pram - we got the P&T's 3 wheeler that takes two. We can't afford another car and it fits into our little car and takes 2 which suits s beautifully. DS is happy enough in it.
Nickers is next then me all being well that is!
Nic- sounds like you have the same plan as us, trying for VBAC though if long time over then will head straight to c/s as not interested in having long labour and then c/s likelast time. The only complication we are currently starting at is that I seem to be posterior again which i am completely terrified of as it means either long and painful labour or straight to c/s which i want to avoid. So our plan is to go as long as we can and hope bub turns otherwise c/s after labour starts naturally of c/s if 41+ weeks.
Still trying to get the company organised and am also currently running another company while the owner is away for 2 weeks. That's not too hard, just fending phone calls and taking the odd booking.
Has to call in the wonderful MIL this morning as DS slept quite poorly last night and I kep hearing him calkling out throughout the night. I woke up really tired and kept falling asleep while DS was playing in the kitchen of all places. So I called and the cavalry arrived and whisked him away for 2.5 hours and I caught up on my missed sleep. Its truly wonderful to have a MIL like that!
Shell - my DH totally agrees with yours re the cars thing. He was once a mechanic and always said you could tell a good car the number of ones you had come through the workshop with big problems versus just services. Hence he wouldn't buy a ford, or some smaller changed badged holdens, though we are holden people through and through, and definitely no recent cheap imports like you mentioned. Currently we have a Holden Rodeo 4wd diesel ute and our fantastic little Mazda Astina. Neither have given us any grief and though the mazda is small it takes what we need for o'night trips. We are going to have to trade in the ute for a dual cab but are currently not happy with having to go to such a smaller tray which we love about our current model. Just one more sacrifice for the kids... if we get a dual cab then we can all go away to the remote areas that we love with everything we need so it will be worth the sacrifice in the end!
DS has just woken up crying so best go see to him,
bye all, will check in again when I get the chance,

Know what u mean Joy, Lanah was posterior, confirmed after my waters were manually broken at 5cm & many hrs. Ended in c/s after 13hrs contractions + 16.5hrs labour even though fully dialated & effaced bub's head was too far up pelvis for me to get urge to push (even though was 4/5ths in pelvis). Hope u both have short & easy VBAC's .
    That's lovely of ur MIL.
Hehe, yep the sacrifices we make for our kids huh, all worth it though. We have a Subaru Forester at moment & luv it but when 2 car seats in it no room for a 3rd in the back. Also the room inside the Toyota Hiace SuperCustom is just amazin, seats 7 (think) & the back row of seats can be slid forward/backward to make more room. Will mean going backwards in year models though, but not rushing into anything at the moment.

Happy bday for tomorrow Bec & congrats on the sale of ur house.

All this car talk is getting me worried. Just to update you I am starting my Frozen IVF Cycle. I have blood tests starting 1/10 to see when I am ovulating.

Hoping it all works - but then I might need a new car as they boys carseats don't leave much room to put a third car seat in for a new baby.
