hi all...gosh you miss so much in just a few days!

Jacci, you can get the teething dummies from Coles. That's where I got mine, although I haven't even used it - josiah's more interested in rattles.

Lisa - I'll definately be in on the SS, you've got my email.

Theresa - glad to hear things are going so well with Em and that Georgie is on the mend.

Amy - first night is hard, but SO worth it. As long as you trust the person you're leaving him with you can relax. If anything u might find he behaves better for them! I know my kids always do - sleep through, don't whinge, everything that u wish they'd do for you!

Becky - good luck with the job hunting. I am officially looking for another job as well, but only p/time. I'm sick of having to work for incompetent people - it does my head in. I will miss the girls I work with tho.

Mitch - glad to hear you're doing so well, how's things going with ur stepson?

Solids - I give Josiah his solids half way between bottles. He has a bottle at about 5.30am, solids at 7, nap at 8, bottle at 9.30 - something like that anyway.... he loves his food! I gave him some banana custard the other day and he gobbled it down! Normally, if I have to give him bought baby food rather than homemade he'll have about half a tin (the Heinz ones that are only fruit or veg, nothing else added), but the custard he wolfed down the whole thing!

Oh - and in other big news, Josiah started sitting up on his own over the weekend! He doesn't stay up for very long, but its getting longer every day - he just needs to figure out how to stay up now, coz he's getting grumpy about lying down! Our children are just growing up so fast...

Highchair - I've got a normal el-cheapo highchair that doesn't recline, but serves its purpose. I started putting Josiah in it over the last couple of days now he can sit and he loves it coz he can see so much further than when he's in his rocker. He doesn't stay in it for more than 10 mins atm coz he's tummy muscles get tired and the chair doesn't recline, but its still good to have him occupied for that length of time.

Anyway, best be off to have a shower - just got back from the gym - I'm going to miss it when my membership expires next month....

Happy Birthday to anybody celebrating over the last couple of weeks, sorry I missed them....

Hope everyones having a good day

    Bel

ETA - hehe Jacci...Josiah had one the other day, it gave me a shock, he thought it was hilarious! When my 3yo brother gets them he cries!
