I thought I'd come in here after being away from the computer all day yesterday and have a lot of catching up to do! I guess everybody is busy buying toys!
We didn't end up making the sales. Might stop by this weekend if I have the energy.
Ben has been a bit sick. Took him to the docs yesterday since I had to have my checkup anyway (see my sick day was at least half-justified!) and the doc said he just has an inner-ear disturbance from his cold. He's been falling down when he turns his head and vomitting a couple of times too. Seems fine now though, but he's been sleeping a lot - can't complain about that!!!
Wow Mel, I can't believe you're 19 weeks already!!! I'm looking forward to next Thursday, I'm hoping the magical anti-nausea switch will be hit right on 12 weeks :)
Hope you're all well :)
-
Hi!
Well, I did make it to the sales...Omg...got there at 12pm and shopped for about an hour and then didn't get back to the car until 4.30am the lay by lines were so long!!! OMG! Didn't get home until 5.15am...So I got a bit of sleep before the kids were up at 7.15 and then snoozed while they watched a bit of tv and then felt like a zombie all day! LOL! I got mostly what I wanted though except I noticed they hadn't laybyed the trampoline properly - only the enclosure - so I have to go back today to get that fixed! So annoyed!
Luckily dh came home yesterday and let me have a sleep - he even cooked dinner and cleaned up - WOW!!! So had a relatively early night last night so feeling ok today...I have a feeling I'm low in iron though so must start taking some tablets...
Off to a BB meet up in Berwick today so that should be some fun...Cindy's going but other than that I won't know anyone! Will be good for the kids to have a play and to meet some people from over that side...
We're heading back tomorrow as well to do some house hunting which will be exciting! I hope we see something we like!!
Melissa - Yeah at getting so much sleep! I got a solid sleep last night from 10.30-7.45 this morning - I can't remember the last time that happened...I'm not sure if dh was up - I think I was too out of it to notice! LOL!
Disgirl - Sorry to hear Bens been sick...I hope you feel better soon too!
K better get organised or I'll be late! Chat later!
-
Hiya!
Wow kris - you are a shopper alright! Hope the boys appreciate it! I went and had a look at Kmart yesterday but everything was too big for our current house or just looked like something he already had IYKWIM? I am going to wait until we move. Also I would like to buy him some timber toys which the big chains dont really carry....glad DH was such a sweetie for you and had you had a great sleep too! It must be hard to keep up your iron being vego?
Dis - Sorry Ben is not well - is he on antibiotics to clear it up? Poor munchkin!
Mel - Yeah its only that I got my tax cheque I could even go and look! But that said I want a new stroller fpr Beau as we are still in the pram - I was going to get a Maclaren with tough wheels for lots of walking. Any reccommendations anyone?
Us - Beau has slept til 6:45 the last two days which has been blissful - he has a snotty nose so I dont know if that helps :) But we are cleaning today as DH has him tomorrow as I am working and we have the dreaded inspection :( So we just swept up the leaves up the side in the wet and Beau was very helpful with the broom - cutie! Had mum and her husband over yesterday for lunch which was nice and Beau was very cute of course so Grandma thinks he is an angel (which he is!) DH got a decent payrise yesterday too - anither $120 a week which will help us out until we move even more. (he has a massive tax bill from last year so it will go to that really).
We got dressed to go out before and I opened the door and it was freezing and p***ing down - so we are inside with the heater on listening to the new Coldplay album.
Better go and think about putting him down for a nap I guess....he is very quiet playing on the floor sucking his juice so must be tired. He is very cuddly today and loves sitting on my lap atm putting his head on my chest awww.
Im babbling so hi to Kel and Kaz and Von (hello how did DH take the news????)and Erin too and anyone else around!
-
Hello, today I have been madly food shopping, banking, cleaning and now I have to catch up on all of the book work before I go pick up Olivia from day care, so we can entertain tonight!! Spewing I couldnt make it to berwick today kristie, hope your having fun. I did think about going, but I have to do this bookwork as today is the only day I have without Olivia before the girl comes to finish off what I cant do.
Kristie-have fun house hunting. Theres a house down the road from us up for sale...i think it has 4 or 5 bedrooms, garage backyard and walking distance to schools, but its springvale south, so a little bit of a different area. Gees your good at shopping, I would have cracked it in the layby section. I got the big w catalogue yesterday and found
some things...just got to clear it with the money maker!!!
Mel-hope your m/s switch turns off too at 12 weeks. What a bugger. I cant complain, I just had nausea.Hope bens feeling better soon.
Jen-Wooden toys are good fun and good on ya for resisting the temptation to buy when you dont have the room. good luck with the inspection tomorrow, sending you loads and loads of selling vibes!!!
Hello everyone else,
My free time on the computer is almost up, got to get this stuff done, take care and have a great weekend:)
-
Hi girls,
Kristie, you and your toy fetish!! LOL, your boys must have every toy imaginable! Its great that you're so organised though. I went to Big W early (about 8.30) on the morning the sales started and OMG, the people!!!! I just had a quick look and then left, LOL! I jsut couldn't do it to myself. I will be going back tomorrow to make a layby though, I'm hoping there will be less people then...
Kaz, I hope your medication has settled and is working for you and you're feeling better. Hows the new job?
Dis, I hope Ben is feeling better. This weather wouldn't be helping much, it's sooo cold here at the mo!!
Jen, yay that Beaus sleeping better. Lily has been too, most nights it's only one wake up lately. We have the occaisional crappy night, but mostly it's good. And DH has been letting me sleep most nights he's home from work, so I am feeling pretty rested, though most days I could still fall asleep at about 3.30pm! I start dozing when Lily watchs New McDonalds farm. Maybe it's just the show, it bores me to tears! Not geared at 30yr olds I guess :p
WOW at the $120 pay rise, that's a pretty generous rise! I wish we could get that much!!
Mel, sounds like you're a busy bee, I hope your night was good. I love days to myself where I can do what I need to and actually finish doing what I started. Half the time I have a sink half full of dishes or the washing is still in the washing machine and goes stinky cause Lily wakes up or gets whingy.
As for us, we have had a really good few days. Lily has been good mostly. I think its cause DH is home for a few days too. He runs around with her and takes her down to the garden to play, which I'm finding I'm doing less now. It's just such an effort. I take her out on our balcony, but it's not outside outside!! And I get so puffed and a bit dizzy going up and down the stairs. I'm scared I'll fall with her. She gets sooo excited when we go out the door, even if it's just to get the mail, LOL!
My mum brought a puppy yesterday too. A golden Lab, shes soo tiny and sooo cute!! Lily is so funny iwth her. SHe's a bit scared of her cause she bites her pants and runs after her when she walks. But she won't leave her alone, whenever she can't see her she has to go find her and harass her!! So she deserves what she gets LOL!!
Ok, sonna go and have a shower I'm freezing, even though the heater is on! Might turn it up....
Happy weekend ladies :D
-
Ohh Kel, I'm glad Lily's enjoying the puppy! It'll be a good friend for her. Someone to nabber to, non-judgemental.
Saw the doc today, the meds are still giving side-effects, the doc wants to see DH but he's flatly refusing. oh yay. Still ahven't done the other post!
;
Kris - OMG, you shoppaholic you!
*sighs*
Anyhows, Pip has decided he's a limpet. today when I dropped him at CC he just cried and wouldn't let go. First time. Ever. Wondering if he's been affected by his fall, and that I caught him. Ahhh well.
Jen - I think wooden toys are so much better - nowhere near as commercialised!
-
Hi everyone,
Wow Kirs I'm still thinking how cool it would be to come & live at your house!!! I can never decide what I want & by the time I have it's too late & Charlie misses out LOL. But this year I'm getting on top of it.
I love this layby til Christmas...awesome & living in a rural area is the best. Target had a pre "layby"day & the shop was empty...I just walked in & said I'll have the swing set & done. Now I just have to pay it off but the price is fantastic. I had put one on hold at Toyworld & have told them no thank's - it's $120 less at target & has more on it. So Charlie is getting a swing set from Santa, and ?'ve already decided to get him some undies & TT stuff (boring I know). That's as much as I've thought so far, but they don't have many toys in Target here normally as its a country target....so slowly getting ready for the sale they are taking out some clothes & moving the toys in & you can see early what they have. Have you guys seen the TMX Cookie Moster soooo cute, think Charlie will be getting one of those.
Also for those who love to bargain hunt, Crazy Sales & Deals Direct are great sites. My parents have got Charlie a battery operated quad bike online for an absolute bargain...that's his Chrissy present from them.
We bought a house, finally we found one here that we like & they accepted our offer. So I'm getting a little excited about decorating etc...even though we own a house in SA we didn't live in it long before moving. So this is the first time we actually have our own home. Charlie is getting a circus theme room.....oooooh can't wait to move in!
Who here has bubs that feeds themselves with a spoon? Charlie has been moved up to the bigger room at daycare & is starting to pick new things up. He now insists on feeding himself, so very cute but wow it takes soooo long & such a mess LOL I hate mess. Anyone else letting them do it? How's it going?
Wow I can't believe all the growing bellies in here. I acutally get a little anxiety/panic attack at the thought of when we will have our next. Not sure why, but oh well. Think we just need to settle in our home & then expand our family.
Kirs I wish my DH was like that, he's been in America for almost 3weeks....arriving home tomorrow & the morning could not come quick enough. I will welcome the help & some form of relaxing with very open arms.
Charlie still wakes once a night but sleeps til at least 7.30 or a bit later most mornings so that I love.
Anyone's bubs still having 2 sleeps a day? Charlie doesn't sleep very well at Daycare & is bed very early on a daycare night, but when home with me still has 2 sleeps a day...unless we are out & it's just one big one.
Hope you are all well & had a great weekend. Take care.
-
heys Erin :)
Pip's been feeding himself with a spoon & fork now for about a month - I generally have one at every feed too, so it takes a bit less time and I know he actually gets something in his mouth :)
I haven't made it to the sales yet, maybe tomorrow. we'll see. And I know what you mean about the next bub! I want to start trying in August, but DH wants to wait until I finish this course of meds ... about 9 months. I sorta understand where he's coming from, but that'll make Pip around 3! Too old!
Anyhows, he's been sooky today. cried from around 10pm till 3:30am (we gave panadol @ midnight!) and then from about 7:45 until 3pm today. No idea why. Argh. Hopefully tonight will be a sleep night for us all.
Dream well ladies.
-
Hey all,
Erin- I have been letting Olivia feed herself on and off for a little while, but cant handle the mess, especially when she wants to flick it around and tip the bowl. gnerally if its finger food, like peas and corn or sausages, I'll let her go for it, but stuff like mash potato and weetbix or yoghurt...thats mine to give her. Also shes been having one sleep since xmas last year and sleeps for a few hours after lunch. Kinda suits me. Fantastic you bought a new house. Good luck deciding when to expand the family, I saw youre a bit worried about it in your other thread. you'll know when youre ready.
Kaz, I must have missed the bit about your meds. Are you ok??? Hope Pips less sooky today for you.
we havent been toy shopping yet x```````````nAREC but i have pic ut a few`` thibgs.
off to playdays soon.....better go b4 olivia deletes my post
-
Hi All,
Just a quick one for me - had a busy weekend and yesterday was spent entertaining Beau in the car on the way up the coast (yay for laptops and dvds) and then he wouldnt sleep at MIL's casue of all the kids to watch so he slept the WHOLE way home - ahhh what bliss - its never happened before!
Sometimes I let B feed himself - if its non sloppy stuff like Mel said - we share a bowl of porridge in the morning which is a fight on the couch to keep it steady but he is learning a little! Finger foods of course but he wants the whole container of yoghurt etc and screams for it so then its nothing.
Hey Kaz have your new meds settled for you over the weekend? The only indoors sweaty excercise I know of is DTD and I am sure you dont feel like that LOL! Hope pip gives you some rest tonight, and you have been thru the ringer the last year or so with new bub, jobs, reno's, pips recent fall.....take it easy on yourself - hope DH is treating you like a princess atm.
Ok I can smell Beau's bum from here and I am pretending to be doing an invoice!
Love to all, hope you are all well

Hi!
Well, we spent the weekend house hunting...we've found a place that we both like - well I love it - it's a big 3 br house that basically the living area and rumpus area are nearly bigger than our unit! LOL! The kitchen is huge as well but as it's so big there's not a lot of outdoor space...there's nice paved entertaining area and then a bit of lawn - enough for a trampoline, cubby and swings but probably not enough to kick a football as such (how many places do these days though?)
It's 7 houses away from a primary school and a further block away is a playground and bmx track and it seems like a really quite area...dh isn't convinced though and is a bit worried about the whole thing..not so much the house itself but it will be such a big purchase/mortgage and a move thats about 45min away from family/friends etc...BUT, I think we could be really happy there and it has heaps of room in the house for everything! In fact, half of it would be unfurnished when we move in - LOL!
It needs painting and new carpets and ducted heating put in - it's been a rental - so a bit run down (they smoked in it as well!) but we have the money up front to do that before we move in so thats ok....
The biggest thing is it's in our price range!!! I think if it had been reno'd it wouldn't so we pretty much know we can make money on it as such...
Such a big decision though - tell me what you guys think - CRANBOURNE NORTH
Jen - Yeah at dh's payrise! Woohoo! Ooh I love coldplay! Sorry to hear Beau's a bit sick...No advice on a stroller - we don't use one here yet! Too many kids to push around! LOL!
Yeah...I wasn't that impressed with kmarts catalogue - I only went to bigw and the target catalogue looks really good as well!
Glad your trip went well yesterday!!
Mel - The berwick meet up was good - I got there late though and my kids just wanted to play in the playground thing though so I didn't really chat to anyone other than Cindy!! LOL!
I could only imagine springvale is way out of our price range! LOL! Yeah at getting so much done in a day! I'd be wrecked! Hehehe!
Hope you had fun at the playcentre!
Kel - Yeah that Lily is sleeping better!!! I must say in this cold weather I'm not taking the boys outside as much as I should either...It's so much easier to stay inside sometimes!! We stopped off at the park on the way home yesterday and let them have a run around for a bit which they loved of course...I also find it really hard to take them to the park cos Dylan runs off so fast and tries to run down slides etc...God help me when I have 3 - LOL!
How cute with the puppy!
Kaz - Sorry to hear your medication is causing trouble...Poor Pip getting all upset when you left him...just as hard for you too I bet!! I used to have that with Louis when I was still teaching and it was awful...Hopefully it doesn't last long!! Ooh just read your next post - he just mustn't be feeling well...poor little munchkin...hope he's ok soon!
Erin - Congrats on buying a house!!! How exciting!! How cool is a pre laybe day at Target! I wish! LOL!
Dylan feeds himself somethings..he's getting to the point where he wants to feed himself yoghurt which can be messy...I usually just strip them down to a nappy so your not forever changing clothes -much easier and if you had a soft cover on your highchair I'd take that off as well...For the amount of time they sit in it it doesn't matter and is a pain to clean...
You'll know when the time is right to have your next one...there's no rush!!
Dylan just has 1 day sleep unless it's a short one for whatever reason and then he'll have an extra in the arvo...
Ooh hope you had a nice reunion with dh!!!!
Ok...should really do something productive...but..can't...seem...to...leave...the. ..computer...LOL!
-
Hi everyone, thought I'd pop in and introduce myself. I've been in the May thread even though Julian was born in April 07. Do you mind if I pop in?
-
Hi Jan!
Of course your more than welcome! How's your little munchkin? Sleeping well? Into mischief? LOL...
-
Hey Jan, youre more than welcome to pop in. Hows things going???
Kristie- i like it, especially the kitchen, it looks huge and the outdoor entertaining area. Doesnt matter too much about the size of the backyard, especially if you have a park or bmk track nearby. Good luck.
Playdays was good yesterday, tired the cranky pants and she had a decent nap, although was just as cranky last night. She went to sleep at 8pm and woke up at 630 this morning as happy as larry!!! Must have just been having a bad day. we are watching In the night Garden, our morning fav show, it even clamed her down yesterday!
Hopefully going shopping with my mum today...if she turns up at a reasonable time, always comes at lunch time and then we cant do anything coz olivia goes to sleep after lunch. Doesnt matter how many times I ask her to come early...like she say, she'll run late to her own funeral!!
Well, have a great day...
Love melissa
-
Hi!
Melissa, thats my thoughts at the moment...dh is still procrastinating and I hope we don't lose it!!! It really is a big home thats for sure!! Well...prob around 18 sq or so...opposed to our 8sq unit it's a monster! LOL!
Glad Olivia had fun at the playcentre...gosh I really haven't done much with the kids lately at all - we've so consumed with real estate!! It's crazy! Will be so nice when we settle in somewhere and can relax a bit...
Hope you get some shopping done!
As for us - the boys slept in until after 8am this morning!! Woohoo! Off to do the food shopping...I dont' think our food situation has ever been so dire...we've run out of everything! I'm not even sure what to do for brekky! Thats sooooo bad!!! I'm going to be doing the biggest shop!!!!
-
Hi girls, gee you've been busy in here!
Kris, I haven't been taking Ben out as much as we should either. It's just been so cold. I ducked into Big W yesterday and couldn't believe how long the line for layby was still - on a Monday!!!! Only thing I ended up buying was Disney Pictionary and that was for myself
The house looks like it has lots of room Kris! Perfect for three young boys - good luck :)
Mel, I caught In The Night Garden for the first time yesterday and Ben was just mesmorised! He normally doesn't like TV that much, but that show just had him hooked.
Hope you got to go shopping yesterday.
Hi jan! Welcome to our group :)
Jen, yay on Beau sleeping all the way home!!! You must have been stoked.
Kaz, I hope Pip has settled down for you. He could have just been feeling yuk. How're your meds going now? Must be hard to leave him at Day Care when he's sooky - poor little guy - and poor you!
Erin, congrats on the house! Ben doesn't really feed himself with a spoon. In fact, he is so lazy when it comes to food and drink - he often walks over to me or DH with his sippy cup and hands it to us so we can hold it for him! Lazy bugger! He will occasionally feed himself a sandwich or something, but prefers to be spoon-fed by us.
Kel, I love lab puppies!!! I think pets are great for kids. Ben adores our lab - and he's very tolerant when he gets walked on, ears pulled etc.
I'm glad Lil is having a good few days. Hopefully it will keep up when your DH goes back to work.
Us - we're doing okay. Ben is no longer sick. I am dying for his two bottom molars to come through though, they seem to be taking a looooong time. He's turning into such a little character. We've discovered he likes Rock music and will dance to it whenever it's on. He does all these cute hand gestures too and a really exaggerated nod when he wants to say yes. And he understands SO much, it's really unbelievable. Such a little man now :)
I had my first hospital appointment yesterday and got my referral for my NT scan. :) I even got to hear the baby move on the doppler which was very exciting :)
That's about it for us :)
-
Hey girls off to the allergy specialist this morning. I did go to Big W yesterday, but they had run out of the things I wanted, oh well never mind.
Babys is moving heaps so its all good, have my scan on Monday. Hope you are all well, got to get myself together, have a great day
-
Mel, I have my scan on Monday too! Yours is much more exciting than mine though :)
Good luck with the specialist today :)
-
hello ladies :)
Greets Jan, just jump right on in!
Kris - I love the house! Looks like a similar layout to a friend's house, and hers is brill for everything! And I reckon there's enough room to kick a soccer ball around :) Good luck!!!!!
Jen - great news on the sleep!
Dis - Pip's started nodding too, isn't it funny! he now sits on his chair when I tell him to, stands up and stuff.
Erin - guess what - I found a pre-layby at target here ! At fountaingate! So we've put the boat-shaped sandpit with canopy on layby for christmas :) And that's the only thing I've got from the toy sales!!!!
Mel - good luck with the specialist for allergies (what do you think it is?) and the scan ...
Us - well I'm at home, having been called by the CC to pick up Pip around 10:30 - we have a docs appt @ 3pm, he has a coughy-sneeze thing and is really sooky. Still waking up every hour ... trev & I are exhausted. But he's asleep now.
anyhows, will put on a load of washing, hopefully his "sooky sooky la la " shirt will be dry in time for the doc visit ;)
-
Hey again....mel, what time is your scan on Monday??? Mines at 130pm. Wow youres has come around quickly. Hope your m/s has gone.
Kaz- poor pip- although I want one of those tshirts!!!
Olivia went well at the specialist. She managed to pass the skin ***** test without any allergies come through...which means eggs, nuts, dogs, cats are all clear, although he did say hold off on the nuts. He has requested her to have a yeast free diet though as he thiks that this contributes to her eczema, which in turn contributes to her very waxy ears....he said she has oily skin. he wasnt worried about milk intolerance coz shes not snotty, doesnt have coughs or loose stools or tummy aches. So thats good....I can give back to my mum her soy cheese...yuck!!
Ok, better get moving while this childs asleep, so much washing to do!!!
-
Mel - cotton on baby. We also have a "tired and grumpy" long-sleeved shirt + "I pulled an all-nighter" shirt. Good news on the allergies, yeast will be hard, but dairy OK! woohoo!
-
Hi!
Well...dh has said that we can put an offer on the house on Sat after he has another look and shows his dad...I so hope it's still for sale by then!
Did the shopping yesterday an spent over $300 on food! OMG!!! But we hadn't been for almost 2 weeks...and that included 2 boxes of nappies...Gosh - our food bills are going to be expensive with another boy on the way as well!!! Hehe. I made Louis a s/w today and he ate his and then went over and finished Dylans as well! Little piggy - and it had heaps of stuff on it - avocado, cheese, tomato etc and they had a bowl of fruit each...must add a glass of milk to it tomorrow! He eats more than me at the moment! LOL!
Nothing much has been happening...kids are good! Dylan now drags his little chair to the kitchen sink and grabs stuff and from the benches so absolutely nothing can get left out now - little monkey! He's such a terror!
Bub in tum is well...already started getting bh which I don't quite remember this early in my other p/g...Bubba gives me some pretty good kicks at times though...I love this time in p/g though - a little tummy but not to big and feeling bubs...this is definitely why I could be p/g again! LOL!
Disgirl - LOL at buying a pressie for yourself! Good on you!! Glad Ben's better now! He sounds just gorgeous!! It's such a nice age...Yeah at hearing bubs heartbeat!! Yeah at having your scan on Monday as well! It will still be so exciting!
Mel - Yeah at having your scan on Monday! Are you finding out the sex??? With all those movements I think it will be a boy! LOL!
Well that was good news at the specialist! Hmm thats interesting - I wonder if Dylan has a bit of a yeast intolerance...he gets eczema on his cheeks and has very waxy ears..although in saying that it used to be a lot worse...maybe he's growing out of it? Hopefully the changes will help Olivia though!
Kaz - Poor pip being home sick...LOL at the t-shirt!! Yeah at pre-layby - how come I didn't know about that?? LOL! I want to get Dylan the cars adventure ride - like a little car that scoots down a ramp and I'm getting bubs a wiggles play centre thing...well, thats the big stuff...there's a million other things I want as well...might have to head down to our local target and suss it out...
Better get some stuff done...I feel sick though now - I've been pigging out on maltesers...LOL! Chat later!
-
Hey ya everybody....
Gosh Beau is so not himslef atm - I went to the movies last night and he was awake crying for 'mama' at our bedroom door apparently til 8;40 for DH which he is NEVER up til! and he cried it out which he never does(and he doesnt say mama either) and today - wouldnt take his milk or go down for a nap and has just cried it out after the third try at putting him down. Weird?
He is normally asleep at 6:30pm. Growth Spurt? I hope its not the new Beau! He is happy enough but doesnt want to leave us or something.
Mel - Thats so good about Olivia's diet, I am so amazed at the waxy ear thing - Beaus are always disgusting....its related to their excema? Really? How, the yeast? Sorry if I am stupid!
Kris - The house looks like a good place to raise three men! And enough room for the biggest toy lay by in history! Hope your pantry is nice and full now! I think Big w does look better than Kmart - i saw the wooden kitchen and thought that looked pretty cute! Kmart has nothing like that - but there is no big w near us at all.
Kaz - Hope pip/sooky la la is feeling better.
Dis - Good luck with your scan on Monday.
Jan - Welcome!
I had a big teary today as we flicked our estate agent and have hired a new one - we now owe them god knows how much in advertising fees and have to pay the new agent up front for them. I called 'mum bank' today to help us out - I just feel so helpless atm - I asked Dh if we can have the next round of photos done on a Saturday as I just cant face the picture perfect clean up on my own anymore - especialy when Beau has no nap! Oh and stupid Hi 5 has replaced New Mcdonalds farm at 3:30!!! And Gloria Jeans is shut near me....oh the humanity!
Ok I am buggered - laying in bed....going to la la land now...
Goodnight sleeptight everyone.
-
Awww Jen - big big hugs!!! I can't imagine how hard it must be with your house still not sold...god I was a mess for the 5 weeks or so mine was on...Don't know if you have any up there but we went through the professionals and they have no sale/no fees and all of the advertising is included in their percentage so we didn't have to pay anything up front...
Poor Beau as well...maybe he's just not feeling well??? I suppose seperation anxiety can happen anytime but it's hard for you to have to deal with...I hope he goes back to "normal" soon!
LOL - I know I know...It's sooo bad...I'm going to get in so much trouble with the IL's when xmas rolls over...they always say I spend to much money on the kids (although they have said I could just rewrap old presents so I don't have to buy new ones - wtf??? As if I would ever do that!!!!!)
Sounds like a good idea to get photos done while dh is around...it is a lot of pressure to have everything perfect when you have to deal with a bubba as well! I soooo hope it sells for you soon!
Hope you get a good nights sleep!
-
Well, sooky sooky la la is very. I'm off work on carers' for the rest of the week - he has viral bronchitis. So cortisone once daily & ventalin 4 times a day. If that doesn't clear up by Saturday, then back to the docs for chest x-ray & worry about bacterial infection. *sighs*
*hugs* Jen *hugs* horrid estate agents. Hope B is OK, that's what Pip was like on Saturday night :(
Kris - wooohooo, fingers crossed for Saturday then!
Us - well I should go to sleep now cause goddess knows I'll be waking for the rest of the night.
Dream pretty all!
-
Oh no Kaz! Poor Pip!! I hope he gets better quickly and you manage to get some rest in as well...Big hugs to you both!
-
Poor pip, I hope it gets better soon. Olivia had to have cort for 10 days and seemed to do the trick really quickly. Hope you got some sleep too.
Jen- you poor thing, I hope a new agent gets fast results. And beau must have a little sep anxiety too, hopefully that will pass quickly.
Kris- glad your dh is thinking of popping an offer on the house. it sounds huge. Our house is 11sqrs, a little bigger than your unit. When we finally decide to put on the second storey hopefully it will be heaps bigger with storage galore, so I can buy all the toys I want!!!
Olivia is home for the rest of the week with runny poo. She had 6 dirty nappies yesterday and the last one burnt her bum and vagina...it was so red...ooh i smell poo now...finish this off...nope just my nose!!! So am lathering her with zinc and caster oil. This morning she did a big wet fart and dirtied her nappy. Sometimes i wonder why I bother working at all. I have to decide what I am doing with work too. I only want to work til the start of October...2.5 months, but sometimes I cant be bothered. Just like the money....dont we all!!
Oh yeast free diet...mmmm, I think the yeast encourages oily skin and increases the wax production...I could be wrong, that man had so much to say yesterday and was all over the place. So teething rusks have yeast, so does bread, vegimite, mushrooms, vinigared stuff like pickles and olives.
Oh and yep I will find out what flavour baby I am having, but we want to keep it secret to family and friends. I have to be careful with what I post coz my sil used to come on this site, but doesnt anymore. I know she has another friend who lurks around. If she finds out, I know shes been reading my posts...like she used to. Anyway, better go, might go to Southland thismorning:)
-
Mel - there's some organic rice rusks around, no yeast. Pip loves them! Have you tried moogoo? it is the best thing for nappyrash.
Well Pip hates the mask thingy for the ventalin. And we found out this morning that my FiL passed last night, now I'm worried that he caught the bug off Pip. *sighs*
anyhows, time to give more bottle. Pip's not eating at the moment, but he'll have his cows milk, its like he's reverted. poor little chap.

Big hugs to you girls having it tough with sick bubs....mine's ok though very clingy. And she's been sooking like no tomorrow this morning. I though she might have a sore ear she's been itching it like crazy. Might need to go to the doc's. I think I have conjunctivitis too, so will ahve to treat that ASAP!!
O ther than this morning though, Lily's been good. Sleeping is MUCH better, only one wake up in the night, YAAAAY!!! And it's getting later and later, last night it was at 2.45am, so I got a good 4 1/2hrs sleep before having to get up to her. Then she slept til 6.15. Not the best time of morning but better than 5.30 like yesterday. The problem now is actually getting her to sleep. She is taking at least and hour to go down, so instead of 7pm bed times, it's 8. I tried to just keep her us til 8 a few nights, but that just made bedtime 9pm. Bit me on the butt that did, LOL!! I also tried cutting out her morning catnap, which has only been 30-40mins and just giving her a sleep at midday, but nope that didn't really work either. SHe only slept for an hour an was absolutely shattered by 6pm. I managed to keep her up til 6.30, but that's why she woke at 5.30 the other day...arrrgh!!!! I don't know what to do with her, LOL!! At least she's sleeping better at night that's all I'm really worried about...talking of sleep, she's been asleep for an hour now, which is unheard of in the morning for us.....maybe she is sick??
I have another scan today to check on the fluid levels. Hopefully all is well. I feel fine so I don't think anything is wrong. Baby is kicking up a storm in there and I have all the usual late pg symptoms, BAD baby brain, tired, sore back, sore ribs, no patience what so ever, yada yada!
Anyway that's it for now. I hope all your bubs are better soon and :hugs: again.

Hi!
Mel - Yeah I think we'll get lost in a house that size coming from one so small! hehe. Although I'm sure we'll get used to it!!!! I just so hope it all happens..
Poor Olivia with her sore bum...hope it eases up soon...
You cheeky thing not telling us the sex of bubs!!! Gosh it will kill me! LOL!! I'm going to think it's a boy this time anyway...
Kaz - So sorry to hear about your FIL...thats so sad...I'm taking it he was very sick anyway so I don't think you should worry about it being Pips fault..
I can only imagine how hard it is to use the ventalin thing...good luck!
Kel - Thats great Lily's sleeping better at night! I'm sure the rest of her sleeps will sort themselves out eventually!
Good luck with your scan - not long to go now!!
-
Kaz, I'm so sorry about your FIL :(
I hope poor Pip is feeling better soon. Hope he takes to the ventalin better.
Jen, bugger about the estate agent. Let's hope this one does a better job for you guys. I don't know how I'd cope if I had to have our house ready for inspection every week. We'd have to move out!
Is Beau doing better? Ben has been sleepy all week too, and when he's sleepy he gets a bit sooky. 14/15 months seems like an odd time for a growth spurt though!
Kris, do your in-laws really tell you to re-wrap presents?!?!
Shopping is getting more and more expensive. I sometimes wonder how I'm going to manage feeding Ben when he is bigger - he's such a pig - imagine when he's a teenager!
Mel, that's good news that Liv isn't lactose intolerant. Hopefully the yeast won't be too hard to cut out of her diet. Ouch on her poor little bottom! I hope it's cleared up quickly.
I can SO relate to you on the 'can't be bothered' with work! I'm working until the end of November, so 4.5 months left and I'm already struggling. Luckily I still have four weeks plus of sick leave so I can take plenty of them if it's getting too much for me. Oh, and we've been asked to take annual leave for next week because of World Youth Day taking over the campus, so hopefully that will leave me refreshed.
The morning sickness is almost gone. I'm 12 weeks today - yay! My appointment is at 11:30 on Monday - I can't wait to see my little bub.
Kel, that's great the Lil is sleeping better. I'm having trouble with Ben and his day sleeps too, well not really trouble, but he seems to be between needing one and two sleeps a day. This week though he's just been really tired. Maybe it's the weather? Who knows?
Us: I feel really good today. Magical 12 week mark maybe? I don't know. I only got into work a couple of hours ago, so that might have something to do with it too!
It's so bloody freezing at the moment here though, I am more than over Winter! Bring on Summer already!!
Ben has started pointing to his body parts on command which is just adorable! Except when you say 'nose' he sticks his finger up his nose! And for 'eyes' he batters his eyelids  So funny! He's also started to 'help' my sister with her new baby - getting blankets when they're talking about her being cold, even without being asked. He also pats her and when she's crying he'll open the bedroom door and stand in the doorway yelling until mum or my sister come and get her  I think he's going to be a good big brother.
Hope you all have happy days :)

Grrr...house is sold...had a bit of a teary...the search shall continue...I really don't think buying and selling while p/g is a good idea...way too stressful...
Dis - Yes - they really said to do that! I know - who in the world could ever imagine?? It was said prob when Louis was about Dylans age so when you maybe could get away with it?? Although I seriously doubt it...
Yeah on feeling better! Thats sooo good! LOL at Ben when you say eyes - Dylan does that too but big blinks! I'm sure he'll be a great big brother! How gorgeous...I asked dylan today with the baby was and he knows it's in my tummy and gave it a big cuddle! Very cute...
URggghh, well I'm all down in the dumps now...I just feel like I need to know whats happening...I'm so over it all! I swear once we buy a house I'm never moving again! LOL!
Chat later!
-
oh Kris, I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe the neighbours were forming a death metal band in their garage?
OK, has anyone tried giving their bubs ventalin? I'm having a bugger of a time trying to get him to breathe through the mask - he'll play with the mask, put it on his face, but holding it there for 5 breathes is really hard.
-
What a bummer Kris! Nothing wrong with having a cry. I cried many times in the stress of buying our house - and I wasn't even preggas!
Kaz, sorry, no ideas :( Poor little guy. Maybe post on the main parenting forum, some other mums might have some ideas.
-
Thanks guys...I'm sure it will all turn out well in the end- just hard to see that right now! LOL!
Sorry Kaz...I have no idea...
-
Hello all.....
Beau still the same but i let him go for his nap with a bottle and he cried but fell asleep jammed up with his head on a forty five and the bottle in his mouth....for three hours! What is going on already? Seems like our bub' sleep routines are all out huh?
Dis - You always seem to post something about Ben that Beau has just started to do too - its so weird! He is pointing at belly and ears and does a cute chomping for his teeth - he doesnt know where his eyes or nose are yet tho! Wow at getting the blankets! What a cutie! Beau doesnt eat as much as Ben seems to tho - he is a bit of a fusspot I think.
Kaz - Hugs to you and Pip - you are going thru a **** time arent you? Hope his on the mend with his medication now and he is getting some rest and you too.
Kris - LOL at your IL's - they come out with some good ones huh? Thats pretty good about the professionals hey? We signed with McGraths but so fingers doubly crossed - I have changing things up today for the photos so our place looks different. The agent came to drop off the keys with his tail between his legs yesterday arvo - I had just got out of the bath with Beau so it was one heck of an uncomfortable conversation!
Kel - Good to hear from you! Sorry that Lil is a bit out of sorts too - good luck with your check up - hugs to you in the last stages hon. Hope its not conjunctivitis too.
Mel - You dirty stop out! Maybe you can PM us the sex? You cannot hold it in! Your sneaky SIL bah! to her! Poor Olivia and her bum - Beaus was bleeding in one spot last night and he had a million blown up sultanas in his poo (yuck!) he had a bit of ham in the day so i think it did him in again. Oh if we didnt like money so much huh? Every time I work I think "last time" and then there is something we need....like food! He he!
Thanks to everyone for my real estate sympathy!
Making fried rice for tea so better go and cook some rice up for it now....
-
Woah missed your post Kris - Far out you need real estate sympathy now too! Something better will turn up or can you counter offer?
Kaz - no idea hon, can you call your GP that prescribed it for him?
-
Thanks Jen...we've sat down tonight with a list of 5 places to look at on Saturday...a few look pretty good although most are another 5-10min further out...so not what I want to do but oh well...We're just too fussy!
Hope Beau settles for you...
Well, we might be having real estate dramas but I'm grateful that Dylans cruising along at the moment!!! Sleeping well, eating well and just generally his cheeky self! One thing to be grateful for thats for sure - LOL!!!!
Sweet dreams everyone! Chat tomorrow!
-
Morning ladies!
Well I put a post in General baby chat, and have followed the advice to wrap him in a towel. Poor little mite screams and screams and take about a half hour to settle down afterwards.
Should have gone shopping for some custard yesterday while DH was home, all Pip will eat is mandarins & milk. Managed to get a little water + apple juice into him yesterday ... he won't eat anything else :( Might see if I can find some apples / pears to stew & mush.
Jen - erk on the bleeding nappy rash. You can get OpSite from the pharmacy, its a plastic skin stuff. Clean his butt well, dry it and cut a little bit of the skin and put it on - it will allow the skin to heal and keep more acid poos off it.
Kris - good luck tomorrow! I hope you find something lovely! (of course - have you considered up here in the hills?)
Us - needing to find something for Pip to wear to the funeral. what do babies wear to funerals?
-
Hey all, wow its been busy in here lately.
Kaz- with Olivias ventolin I would do one puff and hold it over her face, then a break and do the same. As long as he gets some it will be fine. 5 breaths is hard for a little tacker. Good luck.
Kris- sorry the house got sold. Am sure there are heaps out there, just got to find which one you like.
jen- good luck with the new agent, hope you get some fast results.
I will tell you what flavour bub i have:) Just got to do it carefully!!!
Ok hi to everyone else- sooky lala is around
