Kaz, I'm sorry the ventalin is such an ordeal for you and Pip. How long is he on it for? Poor little guy doesn't sound good at all - even with his diet.

I'm feeling GREAT this morning! Passed 12 weeks and I'm hoping there really was a magical no-more-morning-sickness switch that was turned on. I managed to eat a bit of dinner last night which was a bit of a milestone and didn't feel the slightest bit sick this morning! This bub must be a girl! Ben gave me so much m/s - as only a boy would.
Ben was hard to get to sleep last night. We stay at mum's twice a week (to save on my commute) and he really struggles to get off to sleep, as we sleep in the loungeroom. He finally went down at 8:30, which isn't too bad and slept through til 6:30 so I was happy about that. He was in fine form this morning too - when I left he had both my mum and dad in stitches. And he said "Pop" last night for the first time to my dad. Absolutely made dad's day :)

Olivia has been stomping around- so cute. Half the day we spend stomping after each other!! Her bums cleard up- ok Kaz I use the moogoo body wash and I used the moiturizer for myself. She still got loose poo but only twice yesterday and so far once today. Maybe its her teeth coz shes sticking her fingers in her ears alot too. At least for the most part shes happy and chatty.
Well, i still think in the night garden is the best and keeps her nice and relaxed. I will try and find some dvds for her. Its on at 9am on abc and then again at 12 noon on abc2. Well my bub in tum is giving me a fair old bash, luckily the are like flicks th the moment!!!
ok, morning tea time and got to dry my washing...we dont have a line coz dh pulled it down along with our pegola!!!
Oh and we are leaving Olivia with bil and sil tonight to go out to dinner with some friends. Yay:) Then dh is off to sydney for a bucks night tomorrow, back Sunday night.

Well my u/s went well, I guess. Bubs is healthy. He's still measuring big- between 37-38wks (eeek!!!). And fluid is still in the upper limits of normal. The Dr at the u/s clinic wasn't worried about it though and said he'll probably just be a big baby. I'm hoping that's all it is. I'm also hoping all is well and that I don't have GD. I am thinking the OB will send me for the 2hr test next week, just in case. But that's ok, I want to rule it out anyway. It's no wonder I feel like a stuffed pig!!! LOL!
My god you girls can chat!!! I will just catch up on todays posts......
Kaz, sorry to hear Pip is sick, poor little man. You guys are going through the wars aren't you? I hope you can find a peaceful way to get his medicine into him. Have you tried when he's watching tv or really distracted something? You probably have....What about a nebuliser, you can give ventolin in that, that would surely be better than a puffer and spacer?? Maybe ask your doc?

How cute with Olivia's stomping. Lily does this littel running on the spot thing which is cute. She does it when she's super excited too, as well as turning in circles, it's so funny!
Glad to hear her rash cleared up. She must have pretty sensitive skin. I've been lucky with Lily's. She gets a little ecxzma, but it's easy to control. She's got a rash on her face an fanny atm. I've been putting castor oil cream on but it's not getting better. I'll have to go to the doc...
And yep, the night garden is a saviour in this house too, LOL. Lily loves it and will bowl anyone over if they're in her way when she hears it start!! The DVD's and other merchandise isn't on sale in Aust yet, sometime in Sept. I heard. There are books, I brought one for Lil the other day and she loves it. I have to sing all the songs for all of the characters....the sad thing is I can, hehehe!!!!

I just had to have a giggle kel when you said you could sing all those songs....well me too, I am mesmorised by it too. I love iggle piggle and I have that song stuck in my head! Cant wait for stuff to come out on Aus, might be her chrissy present. I did see some on ebay though, available from UK. Arent they funny these kids. Olivia does the whole turning in cirlcles, to the point she falls down and lies there and does snow flakes with her arms and legs. Shes started singing to a musical toy, just a word here and there. I look at her some days and wonder when she got so big and so clever and so funny and cheeky. I also cant believe you dont have long to go...5 weeks OMG how time has flown. Sounds like a big boy, good luck with the birth and hope it all goes to plan for you.

Kristie- am sure you can find plenty of reasonably priced places in that area. Have you looked at Endevour Hills...next to Narree, but closer in??? They still have some cheap but big properties around. We like out in the sticks too, like ****atoo would be lovely, but DH is an electrician and works all around so we find springvale south central to all the free ways.
Ok, better go, am contimplating having a sleep since Olivia is. Shes been up since 615, so am tired. Oh and this baby has been going it all day....

Kaz it's a show for babies on channel 2. It's at 9am. Lily absolutely LUUUUURRRRVVVVEEESSS it!! It's the only thing that will have her mesmerised for half an hour. I can actually get a few things done while she's watching it. After I do the circle thing on her hand or she does it to me and sing a few songs for her of course, LOL! I think it's quite sweet and I like, but alot of people find it annoying. Each to their own!!
Mel, maybe tape a few episodes for Olivia. I have and they are a god send when Lily's in a foul mood or if I need a break.
OK . went a little overboard shopping today. Got him a suit (shirt, trousers & vest) in black pinstripe with a pale blue jumper to wear next week. Also some new socks, mittens, a couple of books (the "little wombat" ones) and some other books .. also Peter Pan to read to him ... and some gumboots ... another shirt ... a raincoat ... pj's ...
Will keep eye out for it Kel!
Oh yes big night garden fan here too - and New McDonalds farm. If he hears the music for either he climbs on the couch to watch which is a bit cute.

I am back, DH has taken Beau to the park and I am supposedly finishing cleaning out my closet:redface:
Everything is ok here - Beau is still a bugger to settle and wants to stay up to 8:30 and isnt eating or drinking much milk but lots of water and watered down juice tho. He is pretty happy apart form that and not waking up during the night (touch wood) He woke up saturated yesterday and got a rash on his belly in the day which i think was from the wee - his bedroom smelt like an old mens urinal! Yuck!
Kel - Glad yr scan went well, not long now! Isnt it great when you have something that can buy you half an hour or so? I bought Beau some sesame street, Hi 5 and New McDons farm DVDs the other day just to have on hand for those trying moments! LOL!
Dis - Thats so awesome you feel great now passed the 12wk mark! Beau and Ben seem to be kindred spirits huh? Did Ben have a short nap today? Beau did! LOL I have tought him the batting eyelids too and he is too cute!

Slept crap last night - must have been PG sleep sympathy or something but every b******* was out in our street last night making noise - god I sound old since I have had a baby LOL!

Oooh and I also bought a set of storage boxes and shelves etc at Freedom - blue stripe - have shoes in one drawer, sox etc. Prolly doesn't mean much to you all, but for me it means that I actually have someplace to put the clean nappies, instead of inside "green bags" on the floor! I think it looks nice, and DH hasn't commented ... hehehe
So at the mo I'm moving Pip's linen from (more) green bags on the floor to the shelving unit ... trying to get rid of floor clutter what with Pip & the puppy!!!
Jen - I hope they do the trick & the house sells - oooh I know what you mean with that smell - when DH changes Pip's bum he always leaves the nappy on the floor for me to put in the nappy pail (erk) so the room stinks.
My meds are settling down, no longer so "twitchy" and stuff, not as emotional either... time will tell. Pip's a lot better, went back to the doc and we can stop with the cortisone, stay with the ventalin until his cough goes ... no need for chest xray!

If you're talking about the Night Garden DVD's, they're not out yet. They come out in September(that's whet I was told anyhow). I just record them off the tv...

Lily's been hard to settle for sleep lately too, taking up to an hour sometimes more. And not going to bed til 8 when it's usually 7. SHe usually takes no more than 15mins to go off to lala land. And last night, OMG!!!! I'm so glad DH was home or I would have gone nuts at her. She had a dreadful night sleep. Needless to say so did I. DH ended up going to sleep on the lounge with her at 3am. I was ready to burst into tears when he came in and saved me, LOL! I'm thinking maybe she's getting her eye teeth, but she won't let me get a propper look or feel, so who knows??
Oh well, that's it. Time to go and eat chocolate and veg on the couch!
Sorry have not been on for a while and have not read any posts but just thought i would share that I started spotting a few days ago and was sent for an u/s that showed no heartbeat so am waiting for the wekend to be over and if i do not miscarry natrually before Monday then I wil have t go in for a D&C........guess it was not ment to be I am finding it difficult at the moment as I had stupidly got all the baby clothes out and started washing them and set the bassinet up in my room had even settled on the name Grace or William so I feel the baby in many ways was already here...if that makes any sense at all probably doesn't.....Just brings back Liam's loss all over again.....I know I will be fine I have had to keep going... I survived Liam's death..so I can survive this ...

Kel, am sorry Lils not slept well, just when you think shes getting into a routine of some sort. olivia has been doing the same, although painless. Shes been waking up at around 4am and we've been popping her in with us, which has happened for the past 4 or 5 nights. I hope its not going to be regular. I am happy to do it coz she goes straight back to sleep and I have visions of our previous efforts of being awake with a screaming child for a few hours each night...yuck.

Just heard bang bang.....Olivia is in my room playing with my stethascope!!! Among other stuff cramed into the draw!!! Shes been getting into the bathroom draws so I have to go out today and get locks and I will fit the toilet lock too. Shes into everything. And she just doesnt listen when I say no...even in my grumpy voice. Yesterday she ened up hitting me because I wouldnt sit her on my lap while I was on the toilet....I yelled at her and she threw my mobile to the floor and dropped like a sack of potatoes and had a hissy fit!!!! Oh the joys! Shes also very clingy to me lately...so everyone is telling me I am having a boy!!! Lets see. Oh and shes still got runny poos that make her bum so red. I am putting it down to teeth...they do get runny poo with teething??? It seems its a side effect for her. SHes well otherwise. And the bad thing is they dont smell enough for me to notice, so I am constantly checking her.
Oh I just realised I wrote an epic! Dinner was lovely on Friday and DH will be back from Sydney tonight, better go get ready for the day.

Ugh, another horrific night's sleep.....I'm sooo over these sleeping problems. And I 'm soo tired. Luckily I have a bbq to go to today otherwise I'd be falling asleep where I stand. I was falling asleep on the lounge berfore, seriously asleep, not just dozing. I didn't hear Lily get into the kitchen drawer and she pulled the glad wrap off the roll....lucky it was nearly empty I just chucked it out. I had to get up and do stuff so I couldnt fall asleep again. DH is at work, so no nanna naps for me today :( . And he won't be home til 8.30ish tonight, it's gonna be a LOOOOONG day! I'm just so over being me (poor me!!) at the moment, so hugely pg and always tired. I feel like all I'm doing is getting cranky at Lily or complaining to DH. He must be so sick of me too.
Anyway enough with the whinging!
Mel, Olivia sounds like Lily. I have 'childproof' locks on all of our drawers and have for ages. She's figured out how to open them though, she uses her teeth! Little brat. She's into everything too. I can't leave her for 5mins without supervision or she's into something she shouldnt be. She's now emptying her toy box completely so she can sit in it. She will go psyco if I try to put the toys back. She also stands on anything she can- pots and pans, her little pooh bear bike thingy, her toybox, the upside down washing basket....she's determined to make me go into labour soon by doing it too! She dances and sways on them like she's just sooo clever and there I am having kittens cause she's so close to falling off! She has fallen off the washing basket once, so I am trying my best not to let her have it, though she loves to sit inside it too, which I don't mind, it keeps her quiet for ages, but it doesn't take long for her to see if I'm not watching her and turn it over to stand on. Oh the tanty we get when I take it off her!! They're quite impressive for a 15mth old! I dread the terrible 2's if this is what she's like now...
Anyway, I should go and wash up while she's sleeping....happy Sunday all :D

Holy Moly Kel- what a cleaver little chicken you have. I just decided to do the bathroom coz up until now shes been good with not going into draws. She really tested my patience last night though. So I have gone and fitted the button ones one, lets hope she doesnt figure how to open those, or I'll just have to lock the bathroom up all together. I also did the toilet today- no more fishing with her toothbrush!! I've cleaned the house today, been shopping and now am relaxing while the girly bop sleeps (finally). I have my scan tomorrow afternoon....I am so excited. It feels like its taken ages for it to come about.

Von - Hugs to you, its a horrible thing and hope you are taking it easy on yourself. I have had two (one late) and you need to greive for as long as you need. Not to worry if you dont feel like dropping in here, that is very understandable.
Kaz - Glad your meds have settled a bit ad Pip is feeling better - and yay for your organisation! I did my closet yesterday and it looks great! Not a struggle to find pjs or a non maternity bra anymore!
Us - I took a sleeping pill last night and have felt floopy all day - DH just looked after Beau for an hour and I snuck into the bedroom for a nap - ah bliss! We had baths at 2pm and have been watching footy (him) and jtv (me) and eating sausage rolls and party pies all arvo! He he! Had a meltdown today hanging out washing (i am so sick of trying to get towels dry in this weather with no dryer!) and Beau pulled them in on himself in the bath before....agrh!
Apart from that all is well...hope everyone is snugled up like us x
Hey girls my scans in 1 hour...yay. I am so excited. Last night was crap. Olivia was awake fron 1 til 3, then woke up at 4 and slept til 7. She just wanted to play. I brought her into bed with us for those 2 hours and she kept head butting or kicking the wall. She would also go up to dh or I and put her head on ours and start patting our heads and saying mumma or dada...cute...but not when I was tired. Shes with mum mum today as we had to do the end of year book work...thankfully all finished. I'll have my scan and go pick her up. I am so tearful today, already cried infront of my mum, which I nEVER do, so she started crying. I just want sleep. So at this moment I am thinking of you Kel and I just dont know how you do it.
I do think she is teething, still runny poos and fingers in her ears. She wont let me near her mouth though. Mel- just google moogoo and they have a list of stockists or you can order over the net. Olivia had only 1 runny poo yesterday but her urine is burning her skin. I had to go out and buy another jar of zinc and caster oil.
Ok, well better go and drink my quota of water!!! Hope I dont pee myself!!! Will let you know how it all goes:)

Off to see my uncle tomorrow...he was diagnosed with cancer a couple of years ago but all of a sudden we've found that he's only got 1 month to live....soooo sad...he's only 62 and he's youngest daughter is my age...it all just doesn't seem fair... Lucky dh is coming with me to visit tomorrow and we're going with my dad...I'm going to be a mess thats for sure...
Kel - Glad your u/s went well! Hope bubs doesn't end up too bigs!! I'm sure it will all be fine though..I remember I had a late scan with Louis and they said he was going to be 3.3 kg and he was only 2.6 so I think they overstimate rather underestimate iykwim?
Sorry to hear you had a bad nights sleep...hope you've managed to catch up! Don't be too hard on yourself though...you're body's going through a lot at the moment and with Lily not sleeping your bound to be super tired and cranky!! Try and take it easy..(I know easier said than done!)
Wow at Lily getting into the childproof locks..thats the one benefit we've had with having an old house - we can hardly open the cupboards let alone the kids - LOL! Although I haven't thought about the new place...guess I'll have to invest in some locks...hehe.

LOL on Olivia's tantrums...sounds just like Dylan..he gets into everything and doesn't listen to a word I say not matter how much I tell him off...he's a little terror...he's always pushing the little chairs over to the kitchen bench and trying to grab stuff and I have to watch louis and the potty or else he tries to grab it...is always climbing on Louis' bed and shelves etc...Such a fun age - LOL!!

Bugger about the washing...we've got floor ducted heating so it dries really easy over the vents but the new house has roof ducted so not sure how I'll go getting things dried quickly...we have a dryer but I only like to use it with towels/sheets etc not clothes...I think it wrecks them...Oh well - I'm already soooo overy winter - bring on warm sunshine I say! LOL! (especially as after we move we'll only be 15min from the beach - woohoo!!! )

We had our scan today which was fantastic. they switched it to the 3d a few times, but bubs wasnt in a great possy. I had to empty my bladder and jump up and down a few times. So we found out what it was and its a GIRL. To be honest i suppose I was hoping for a boy, and I suppose because I really wanted dh to have a son, but am also thrilled that its a girl. We werent going to tell anyone, but I was showing my family the dvd today and the part which was at the end that told us she was a she, was supposed to be turned off, but the lady must have forgotten to switch it off and they all heard. Now we are just going to tell everyone. As for names, we have no idea....we already picked out the prettiest name for Olivia!!!lol
I am so tired today and still so emotional. I am hoping Liv will sleep better tonight. She didnt get too much sleep at my mums, then she slept for about 20 minutes on the way home.

Jen- I use herron baby zinc and caster oil cream in a tub. I got it from safeways. I think you can get it from any supermarket or chemist. Hope that helps. I put it on after i wipe her bum, then smear it on, but dont rub it in. seems to be going ok:)

Having a quick tidy up and jumping into bed I think...this stupid headache is still lingering a bit...
Thanks Kristie- yep it had sound alright. Thing was that dh rang right were the end of the dvd was supposed to be and by the time I got off the phone to him, all I could hear was the lady saying...its a girl!!!! All my family are very happy and they have already started picking out names!!! I hope I get better sleep too:) Olivia has been asleep since 8pm so I should jump into bed. DH has gone to ice hockey training and wont be home til midnight. This week he starts his long shifts away from home, so it will be just me and moo for 3-4 nights a week.

Can't remember much from the previous pages, but.....
Yes, I do have one cluey little monkey on my hands, she's like houdini!! And Kaz, yep, they are the plastic ones with the button to attach to. She just bites one side off and hey presto she's into all the goodies! It's lucky our kitchen/lounge/dining is open plan and I can see from anywhere. I was going to get the magnetic locks, but they're so much trouble to put on!! And I'm just too lazy...she's just have to learn not to do it or grow out of it.
Kris, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!! :hooray: You're new house is gorgeous, I'm jealous!! I bet you just can't wait to move in!! Especially with bubs coming so soon afterwards.
Sorry to hear about your uncle. It so sad to hear news like that even though you kind of half expect it. We had a similar situation with my uncle too.
Yep, I'm hoping bubs is going to slow down his growth a bit, I just don't have any room left in there for him! I'm already aching everywhere, hips, groin, ribs, back, even my shoulders hurt. I really don't feel like he could fit if he grows much more! I don't know how people do twins or more...???

:hugs: I can sympathise with no sleep. Lil's going through it all again. I have no idea why though I suspect teething again too. I think she might be getting her eye teeth, but she won't let me look properly. I don't know but there's no other reason for it. I was up 3 times last night, once for 40mins. THe others it was just a 15min bottle and back to bed, so that isn't too bad, but by the time I actually get back into bed its at least 30mins later. And then I've got to get comfy and get back to sleep!! SO an hour or so later I'm finally asleep and Lil's just waking again.....I try to make a point of having a nap with her in the arvo's, just prioritising having rest instead of mopping or whatever.
And I can sympathise with th emotions too. I have been soooo overly emotional this pg. I think it's because of the lack of sleep. I don't function well on no sleep and being pg too, well.....it's a recipe for disaster!
As for us, well, we've had a pretty good day. Went down the street to get a few things and nearly killed myself trying to get back up the stairs! Trying to carry Lily, the shopping and her baby bag up 3 flights of stairs wasn't a great idea....I was wheezing by the time I got up here and poor Lily was hanging on with all her might!
I have been seriously nesting today, despite being tired as. I think I've just been keeping moving so I don't fall aslep somewhere!
I have been very organised for the first time in ages, doing 3 loads of washing (washed/hung out and folded/packed away!), washed the dishes for the day so there are actually none to do tomorrow morning from today, cleaned the kitchen (tiles, microwave and cupboard doors too), got out baby's clothes, capsule and blankets from wardrobe to wash and made a little room for them (don't know where I'm going to find more for his things though!), cooked a yummo dinner for a change rather than just meat and veg, AND to top it all off I even baked choc-chip cookies!!!!
Now my back is killing me and I'm tired as, even after a nanna nap for an hour and a half! Hopefully Lily sleeps well but I'm not getting my hopes up.... :(
Ok gonna go and have a shower and go to bed. Sweet dreams everyone!
OMG you are nesting....not long now Kel. Hope you got some sleep last night. I wonder if its teeth too. cant wait for them to all be through!!! In saying that we had a great sleep, although I still was wide awake at 6, just in time for a dancing beat in my tummy!!! Spoke with dh last night about having another girl. We were both a little disappointed, but happy shes got past the 20 week scan with the thumbs up. Is it normal to feel a little bit down about the gender??? I do feel a little guilty for feeling this way. I am glad I know know so I can make time to bond, accept....you know. I am greatful though, dont get me wrong. Theres just a lot of pressure from dh side to have a boy. On the up side I am glad I'm not the first.
Well I got to go, DH and his apprentice are taking our back entertaining area apart with a sledge hammer and Olivia is not enjoying the noise!!!

Mel, I know what you mean about the disappointment. I would have been really disappointed had our baby been a girl again, especially as DH really doesn't want anymore children. I really wanted to be a mum to a boy. I know that sounds a bit strange, but that's how I felt. There's no need to be feeling guilty. You're going to love this bub just as much as you love Olivia. Once she's born I bet those thoughts will all be out the window!
No we didn't sleep so great last night, though better than the last few nights. I'm sooo tired and I'm going to have a nanna nap soon while the little madam is asleep. DH still has 3 days to work, arrrrgh, I'm going to go insane!!!!

Mel - Bugger at dh being away for so long at a time...that would be sooo hard. Although I'm sure you'll be ok!
Big hugs at feeling a little disappointed...I think it's very common for people to feel that way...I'm sure you'll get past it as soon as you hold that little bundle in your arms!!
I probably avoided it a bit but thats because I've always thought I'd have all boys so it hasn't been a surprise or anything...I've found more people being disappointed for me which I find quite amusing...LOL!
Kel - Thanks! Yep I am excited or surprisingly not thinking about it too much yet as just trying to enjoy the relaxation of not worrying! LOL!
Oh gosh...yeah twins - I have no idea...I don't even get that big really and I get horrible stretch marks so god knows what would happen if I had twins...I think I'd split in half! LOL!
OMG Kel - I need a nap after reading about what you got done today! I hope your taking it easy today though and get a nap in!

Hey Mel Congrats that bub is healthy and well! I dont think the feelings you are having are unusual - I, like Kel, would feel dissapointed if we have another boy. But, it must be your DH's destiny to be surrounded by beautiful women. Just give yourself a litle time to warm to the idea

Us - Beau was up late again last night and isnt really napping in the day so that makes for a bit of a cling on. I am trying to re-touch all the skirtings and re-do cobwebs and windows and re-fold the linen closet - all that crap I did when we first put our house on the market but have slowly undone over the weeks.....I am tired now too and cant face dinner!

Well Ive been up since 530 as dh has gone away to work til friday:( Couldnt get back to sleep.

Jen- i dont envy you at all. Good luck though, I hate having to keep thing at perfection. I have so many cob webs its not funny. My excuse- I dont own a feather duster!!!!
Me- well, last night dh felt the baby move from the outside:) and I have been feeling her move thismorning on the outside. Such an active little girl too. Yesterday I was basically holding back the tears. I dont know why I was so upset about having a girl, but I was. i suppose i know how much dh and his whole entire family want one. This will be the 11th grand daughter, no grand sons. I know dd is happy coz shes healthy. Its his familys response that will kill me. I shouldnt worry so much about what others think. I have a healthy baby. Thats all that matters. And I was also getting upset letting myself think this way. I just think my hormones are making me irrational!!!
Names......ok we have gone through the book. So far, and by no means concrete, we have Amy Louise or Chloe Elizabeth. Has to go with Olivia Grace. Last name Howell. Couldnt find anything else we liked!!!
Olivia is still alseep:) Yay another good night. Her naps during the day are getting shorter though.
Today I have to decide what I am doing for work. I have been offered 2 months work, but it is going into patients homes. Dh is not keen on me doing that. I understand his concerns, especially when i would be dealing with chronically mentally ill people. It might be an easy decision....coz I'm not too fussed about working. I have to do 120 hours to keep my registration valid every year. I have done more than that this year!!!
I am going out today to get fitted for some long overdue bras. Then I have to go buy a dress as I have 3 weddings to go to before i have this baby. Lucky they are people who dont associate with each other, that way I get plenty of wear out of it!!!

Mel thats wonderful you are having lots of kicks outside - she must know you need some reassurance atm. Lovely names that suit Olivia too - I like Chloe the best. I guess with your work you have to do what you want to do. Thats understandable Dh doesnt want you putting yourself under any more stress too.
Kris - I sucked it up and made corn chowder/soup - it was really nice so it was worth the effort! I had a lovely pic of Beau framed yeesterday and it was a bit more exxy that what I thought....so no cash for take away! He he!
Us - Beau has been sitting in my cupboard playing with my belts for a half hour - I am being very chilled today and in no hurry to go anywhere, maybe just the park or something.

Had a tough time last night visiting my uncle but I'm so glad I did...I almost hope he doesn't last too long as awful as that sounds but he's in a lot of pain...It's just not fair...
