    Hi!

We had a gorgeous day yesterday...the weather was so nice and we had a bbq for my mums b'day so chilled out in the arvo at my brothers house while the kids played. Dh was still moving and got heaps of stuff done...I've got heaps of packing to get done today though and need to get some food...mums cleaned the oven so I'm going to avoid that for the week which is more difficult than I though! LOL! It's getting very exciting now - I can't believe we'll be in our new house on Friday! This house looks like a bombs hit it though but I suppose it can't be avoided at the moment...
Oh and I woken up with the kids cold...grrr...it's not too bad though - well at least it's not the flu!

Mel - I hope Olivia's on the mend...It's a hard call with child care...There are definitely pro's and cons - you can only choose whats right for you! Hmm maybe she's going through a bit of a developmental spurt as well? I know Dylan definitely is - he's words are increasing so much and he's "whats that" about everything...at the same time he's had some bad sleep (settled down now) and has passed out twice in the last week with his temper tantrums (after not doing it for ages)
LOL - an adventure is right! It's definitely starting to feel this way...we've got to get the carpets cleaned in the new house so we might all be sleeping on the tiles in the famiy room when we move! LOL!
Hope you got some gardening done!

Jen - Sounds like you had a gorgeous day! Hmm how much milk is Beau still having? That may not be helping...Dylan only has a cup of milk with his lunch now and usually a few mouthfuls before bed although I'm not even going to bother with that soon as he eats so much dinner he doesn't need it...they only need about 3 or so serves of dairy now I think it is...

Kaz - Wow - maybe pips having a spurt as well with all that sleep! Poor thing with his poo's....hope it resolves itself soon...

Well, better get myself organised or I'll get nothing done today!

    Chat later!

    Hi girls!

Mel, Ouch on Liv's bum rash. I can understand why you're upset. It's bad enough knowing she's in pain, but it sounds like it could have been easily avoided by the carer too. Poor little thing. Is it healing? I don't know what I'd do in your situation. I'm lucky that my mum has Ben all week and she spends SO much one on one time with him - more than I do when he's with me

Kris, Yay, your move is so close now! I'm glad the boys really liked the place, that will make things go a lot smoother. Ben's vocab is amazing now. "That?" is his favourite saying. He wants to know the name for EVERYTHING. I'm guessing it's a precursor to "Why?" in a couple of years

Kaz, I have no idea what you should do about the 5cent coin! Ouch! Maybe if you haven't had a poo yet a trip to the doc might be on the cards. I don't know what they'd be able to do, but I'm sure they'd have some ideas.

Jen, yay on having your family back together! Ben's eating has been totally bizarre lately too. He will have days where he hardly eats anything and then days when he eats like a pig. Last night all he would eat for dinner was carrots and bread! Weird, weird boy! He still has his beer-gut though so I'm not too worry. From what I've read, it's pretty normal at this age. As long as you keep offering a lot of different options he'll take what he needs.

Us....we're doing well. Ben's back to sleeping through the night, I'm guess it was just his allergies after all. We had a lovely, restful weekend as a family. Going to the park, working in the garden and doing the grocery shopping for the first time in a LONG time Just lovely!!!

Hope you all have wonderful, sunny days like I am having!

    Good Morning!

Disgirl - LOL at Ben still having a beer gut...I'm still working on it with Dylan..he's such a skinny thing..when he went to hospital the other week he weighted 10.8kg (with pants and nappy on) so he's pretty little I think...
Yeah at Ben sleeping through the night again! Woohoo!

Well, I've got heaps more packing to do...the boys are being super clingy with all the mayhem thats going on I think...poor dh didn't get home until nearly 8.30pm by the time he did another load after work last night...it's going to be a big week. I've got this silly cold now and by the end of yesterday my back was killing me...definitely too much lifting I think...
Oh but great news - Louis went to sleep last night without his dummy and slept through without it - first time ever! and no tears or tantrums etc...so Dylan will have a 3yo limit as well now!

    Ok...enjoy your days! Chat later!

    Hello!
Wow it is absolutely teaming here! The dogs have been running around in it refusing to go in there bed so now they are inside with us! The rain/wind is pretty intense here on the water tho - it is a bit scary - hopefully it is cleaning all the filthy windows - there are so so many here I will never keep up!
We had a great day at the beach yesterday while DH fished off the beach - B was loving sitting in a hole with his buckets and spades - didnt like the water much but!
Beau is having his nap - he seems a bit better today, DH has gone to Sydney for my Ikea stuff - I think sometimes he is better when he is one on one with me beacuse thats what he is used to? Although he loves his da to bits!
Dis - Way to go getting some sleep - Beau has his little pot belly still too - I love it now here because he is always in boardies and a singlet or not much so I can see his cute little body! After all the winter layers!
Mel- How did you go with the daycare?
Kaz - Any 5cent peice poos yet? We showed B the other day how to put the coins in his piggy bank (no 5cent peices tho after your story!)
Kris - Take it easy on your back - you will get there....take aways take aways! Stuff the oven! I have been meaning to ask you - are you a way away from Cranbourne - I have seen on the news about some smell problems there at the moment? You are in Cranbourne North arent you? i always half miss every news story since having a bubba!
Mmm Beau has too much milk still - I am trying to make it less all the time but he takes the bottle to bed (he finishes it fast tho) so.....he loves cheese and yoghurt too so he gets heaps and heaps of dairy
Hey Kel hope you are doing ok and feeling better

    Hi girls,

I'm baaaack....well we we're back on sunday, but I've only just gotten a bit of spare time now.
We had an ok weekend Lily was super clingy and sooky and still has a really abd cough, and Liam was really stuffed up and snotty. So we hardly got any sleep since we had both kids in the room with us. But it was really nice to get away from home and see our friend. We also went to Floriade which was nice, though we walked part of the way there and it was blowing a gale.
Our efforts to get Lil to go to sleep on her own have paid off, we can now read her a book and put her straight to bed, no more rocking and no more bottles, but now since she's been sick she's waking several times a night from coughing and looking for her dummy though last night she slept through but woke at 5am...we just can't win, LOL!! Hopefully once she's better she'll sleep through til at least 6.30! She's on another course of antibiotics, her third in about 5wks and her ears are playing up again. We have an appointment to see an ear specialist but not until november, so we have to try to manage it until then, but it just won't go away. Hopefully these antibiotics will help her cough go away, she's had it for about 4wks too. Poor kid, no serious illness for her whole life then whammo everything at once!
Anyway, gotta go and think of what to do for dindins....hope you're all well.

well done with the sleeping Kel!!!!

Kris - ahhh well at least you were prepared for it. Must say though that Dylan feels about the same weight as Pip! No pot here unless he's pigged out!

Well at least we've had poos now (much to the disgust of DHs niece who was babysitting yesterday ... plus 2 more poos today ... yay!) Have decided to not worry about a coin ..

Pip is now quite cheeky, he says "ta" when he gives or takes from other people! Very cute! Sleeping well still ... and I have a lovely artwork to hang on the wall at work
    cya all!

    Hi!

Jen - Hope the weather settled down! Ooh the beach - can't wait for the warmer weather - sound like it was just as well you enjoyed it yesterday!
LOl - yep we're far enough away from the methane...hehe. You would have heard about it by now if we'd bought there - how upsetting for those people...Although they're meant to have some solution so I think it's a relatively short term thing...can you imagine losing $100k value in your house basically overnight though? Scary stuff...

Kel - Glad you enjoyed your weekend! Yeah at Lily sleeping better! Poor little munchkin being sick though...what a bugger you have to wait so long to see the specialist!

Kaz - Glad Pip doesn't have any probs from turning himself into a piggy bank! LOL! LOL at the "ta's" - very cute!

I got quite a bit done today - packed up the boys room completely other than their beds and a box of clothes and toys for the next few days! Mums coming around to help me pack the kitchen up tomorrow and dh is picking up my dads trailor tomorrow so should be able to get moving a bit quicker...It's getting exciting now but I'll be happy when the weekend arrives and I know it's all happened smoothly (cross fingers!) Not doing anything tonight though cos my backs killing me! Dh is out, the boys are asleep so I'm just chilling out for a bit and then having an early night...

Its so quiet in here.... hey Kel- glad lils sleeping better for you. Hows it going with 2????

Kris- good luck on the move.

Jen Mel and Kaz- hello...i was writing a post the other day but Olivia crashed my party, so had to leave it!!!

Well I spoke to the lady about Olivias bum rash the other day and she said she forgot to mention it because Adam was there on Friday arvo and it distractered her...she thinks he is hot!!!!....shes 60 not out and has made a few comments on dh!!! obviously he was a major distraction. So she tells me she hadnt left her in a nappy, just after a poo it had become red. Anyway I still think Olivia slept in, but never mind, I have almost cleared it. So I take Olivia back to childcare on Thursday and she is a bit sooky when another kid taps her on the face. By the time I got back in the arvo to pick her up, the lady says shes seen kids like Olivia and thinks that she would be best to be out of cc when the new bubs arrives. Dh and I think she just cant handle her sensitivity. When Olivia started, she only had another boy to look after, now she has another 2 younger than Olivia. So thismorning I gave her notice and will be taking her out of cc from th 17th of October. Makes me feel a lot more relaxed and happier. i will have to get used to not having those spare days to clean and do bookwork, just means I have to organise myself or let those things go on the back burner for a bit. If Olivia is ok, we might look at popping her in ocassional care once a week...next year.

Wow.....feel so much better! On that note, i must get organised. Am pretty much done, just need to clean and service the car. Oh and sleep! Olivias eye teeth are being terrible and she is waking in pain. Last night I had to rock her to sleep and that took her a while. I have bad hip pain....pelvis must be opening up. Ok, better go. Have a great day all,

    Love Melissa

Hey Mel - you sound really happy with your decision, you are right, its all about priorities - I am sure you will miss those free days but! How funny the woman likes your DH?!? he he!
Us - Been to the beach this morning and DH made B an inground pool in the sand with sandcastles all around it! He is going to be such a beach baby, except Mum gets left with cleaning the sand out of his bum! Oh well its worth it - just chilling out now with DH as its his last day of hols and I have to go to the city tomorrow for work - first time on a train in yonks - should be interesting!!

Hi guys! It has been quiet in here, but I've been having trouble getting on so gave up yesterday. Maybe everybody else is the same?

Jen, how nice of DH to let you get the sand out of Beau's bum What swim nappies do you use? The disposable ones or the clothey type ones?
Good luck on the train tomorrow! They always seem to be doing trackwork on the CC line.

Mel, you do sound happier now that you've made up your mind to take Olivia out of care. It'll take a bit of adjusting, but you'll be use to it in no time. I can't believe that you and Kris are so close to meeting your new bubbas now!!!!

Us, we had another fabbo night. I was in bed asleep by 8pm! LOL Such a party animal! I have a girls' night out with the girls from mum's group tomorrow night, so that will be a fun catchup - although I'm doubting it will be a big one Really looking forward to this weekend. The AFL grand final should be a good'un, then the night out followed by a relaxing day on Sunday. Sounds just about perfect to me Oh, and I have to get to Target to buy one of those Thomas the Tank Engine Potties on sale right now. Ben's obsessed with Thomas - not that he's ever seen the show!!! Weird! DH reckons he'll never use the pottie though because he'll be too busy looking at the pic And no, we're not going to start TT yet, I just want to have it ready for when he's ready.

Anyhow, best be getting back to the grindstone. Thank goodness it's Friday!!!

that's funny DG - we bought 2 potties yesterday. One's a "cushie tooshie" one (with padded seat) and the other just a stock standard. we liked the TtTE one but people had nicked all the stickers from it. I'm going to just start sitting Pip on it while I go to the loo, to get him used to the feeling of air under his bum IYKWIM?

Mel - we had a poo like that the other day! And it was me that found it - I swear he had a clean nappy, did a poo, I waited 5 mins to make sure all finished, and it was everywhere. Up his back, down his legs ... and broken blisters. Funny on the CC lady being flustered by A!

Kris - hoping your moving's going well, its today isn't it???

Anyhows, I'm off to buy DH more sposies and to pick up some mail from the PO. Hopefully it'll be my MooGoo order

    Have a great day all!
