Poor Dylan has the sniffles..hopefully the dimetapp will let him have a good sleep...the kids are buggered after a big couple of days running around to activities etc..we had a couple of weeks off and so this week has taken it out of them...won't be home tomorrow either as we have to do food shopping and a few other bits and pieces
Jen - Yeah at getting dh to cook dinner! I wish! Although huge surprise tonight when dh came into the kitchen as I was starting to cook a roast and asked what needs to be chopped up - omg! Thats got to be a first...I didn't need any help though so instead he helped me clean up a bit afterwards - even better!
Melissa - Omg - do you actually clean that stuff?? LOL - I don't think I ever have...I've never even cleaned an oven...I get mum too cos I've always been p/g and don't want the fumes - LOL! I've also never cleaned windows...really I'm a grot...maybe I was a cleaner in a past life and so don't feel like it now - hehehehehe.
Kel - Now's not the time to be worrying about your mess! It's so hard and I bet you have heaps of washing!!!
The house is tidy but my rooms a mess...really should clean it but so can't be bothered...think I'll just chill out instead and get an early night...I feel sooo tired!

I went through each room the other day and listed everything I need to do...all of it. I am HOPING...that I will do it. I dont usually do that stuff, but I figure I have olivia in fdc 3 days a week, so I should actually try and do it, before this next one comes along and I wont do it. The main things I do want to do is sort out olivias bedroom as she will be sharing. I need space for clothes. I need to go through all her clothes, which are out in the shed and either toss them or wash them. I do need to go through the pantry coz I am sure theres chocolate hiding in there!!! And some weavels:)
Kel- you need to relax not clean. I cant wait to hear how you went with labour. Was it what you wanted? Was it less traumatic than lils??? Sounds like you did a fantastic job.....oh I just found your birth story. Well done:)
Hi girls! Sorry to be MIA again. I typed out a big post on Monday and then it disappeared. I was about to re-do it and got hit with the worst migraine I've ever experienced, so I was off-line for a couple of days. Yesterday I had my scan and went to a pre-school observation for Ben so I was away from the 'puter again.

We need to paint it - once the junk is out - do a thorough clean and then start moving stuff in. I want it all done before I finish up at work too, so we've got three months. Lord knows when we'll find the time!!!
My scan went really well yesterday. We managed to restrain ourselves and didn't ask what gender Twobob is, although DH thinks girl. I'm totally undecided. All I know is that this bub has a big head!!! The head diameter is measuring a week ahead. Ben had a big head too and that contributed to him getting stuck. Bugger! It was awesome seeing him/her move around though, and feeling it at the same time was just unreal!!!

Well, I have been a busy girl today....scrubed the bathroom, cleaned the mirror, did the skirts and ledges, vacumed and mopped the whole house, changed the bedding and washed it. Just about to go to Bunnings to find some stove knob thingies!!! And while I am there might see if I can find a duster and something to help me clean the mirrored wardrobe doors without streaks.
Dh is coming home a day earlier, so I am very excited:)
Mel- congrats on the scan and well done on not finding out. I dont know why I need to know, but I just do. Bugger on the migrane. Hope that they stay away. Oh and if I lived close to you...I would think about your housework....NOT! I hate doing it and wish I could hire a cleaner...but I am at home and its my job, yadda yadda yadda!!!

Found the stove Knob protectors in bunnings, but I dont think they will work with ours. We just got this in a few weeks before olivia was born and I cant seem to get the knobs off. Willl wait til Adam gets home to see if he can do it, otherwise i will take them back.
Oh and I got these cloths that do windows and mirrors....and I got home and did most of them. So full of energy. Looking forward to tomorrow to finish off the windows, I might even wash the windows on the outside. And i am cleaning the pantry too. Somethings wrong!!!! I wouldnt worry too much about your oven Jen- just let the newbies clean it. I always do a clean when moving in. Hope I am motivating you to clean...it feels good!

I had a great day with the kids...even with they're sniffles we headed out to the shops - we didn't make it food shopping though...I bought them new sandals each - Dylan chose bob the builder and Louis chose Diego and we got Michaels fathers day present (a poker set...:rolleyes:) and then had lunch in the food court - we had nori rolls and both boys sat at on the big chairs at the table and had a banana buzz as well...they were sooo good! I then found a gorgoues blankie and soft doggie for Ethan...pretty much the same as Dylans but in different colours...the boys will give him the doggie as a present when he arrives and Ethan will have a present each for them! Then because I'd bought something special for everyone else I thought it was my turn and bought a new pair of sunnies...not expensive but my old ones were sooo scratched. The boys fell asleep on the way home and so I had a chance to chill out and read and then all 3 of us cooked pizzas and I bathed them (dh is in bed with the flu) and they went crazy splashing everywhere - I had to protect myself with a towel - LOL! Was so cute to hear them giggling away though! They're now tucked up in bed so I'm definitely chilling out..the only bothersome thing is that now I have to do food shopping tomorrow instead! LOL!
Sorry for the rant...just had a really nice day with the kiddies...

Ben's been fantastic this week. His new words include 'puter, glasses, Daige (instead of 'Paige' for his cousin) and singing the Beach Boys song "Barbara Ann" with his father :lol: His favourite word ATM is 'up' which means up, down, outside and anything else he doesn't know the word for :lol: I don't think I've laughed as much in my life as I have these past two weeks with him :D

Am back at it today, just put pea and ham soup in the slow cooker for dinner tonight:) Off to clean the windows and pantry. See what else I can do. Olivia slept with me last night again from 11pm and I had a shocking sleep. She was so restless. Then to top it of we had a barney coz I put her in her cot this morning with some toys and books because I wanted to sit on the toilet in peace, without her trying to climb on me or pull me off. I could hear her screaming and I went in and her face was covered in snot and all red!!!

What a night! Dh is sick with the flu and has been in bed since yesterday arvo...Louis has developed a rotten cough/heavy chest and Dylan was up so many times before I brought him into bed with me at 4am so had an ordinary sleep until 6.45am. He kept trying to get closer and closer to me so dh nearly got pushed out the bed! LOL!
So at this stage Mel and Kaz - I may have to see how the boys are going before I catch up with you on Monday...if they're still sick maybe we can make it for a fortnights time?? Sorry! Maybe a playcentre in Knox would be fairly central??? There's one near the Knox shopping centre out the back of the complex...

Wow is it only 9:30? We have walked up the street for a coffee and to the park already! I am on my own today as DH is up at the new house ripping up the carpet and my BIL is mowing the super long grass....I hate not having DH on Saturdays! I am such a sook - tomorrow I am doing up a girlfriends apartment at Bondi and she is taking me out for an awesome lunch as payment! I worked till late last night and am feeling old this morning in my bones:rolleyes:

Yep dh is back...came back last night nice and early and Olivia managed to stay in her own room all night....which gave us some "us" time:) Happy me.

Kaz-Pip has been sick for a bit. Must be the snow up on the hills, lol!! I'm happy to do either place as I dont really know where they are, but will find them. How about Monday 15th about 10am. Does that suit? You choose the play centre and let me know~!

Us- thismorning we cleaned up our new pegola of all the possum poo...eeek, Olivia helped sweeping! We have been for a walk on her tryke and she has been asleep since 1130...must have been tired. DH and I are just doing some things to the pegola and thats it today, although its started raining:( At least my washing line is back up under cover!

Just a quick one from me...I'm soooo sick...Louis and I have a nasty cough and dh still has a headache and Dylan isn't sick but just sooo sooky! He's woken up so much the last couple of nights and he doesn't even seem sick at all...very strange...
Had my day out yesterday which was great - I felt awful leaving the boys at home for the day but if the roles were reversed??? Dh has left me plenty of times with sick kids when I've been unwell so I didn't feel too bad...it's not like I do much for myself anyway...
Mel/Kaz - Monday fortnight would be great - I'm sure we'll all be better then! Thats still a week and a half before our move so will be fine!

Hello strangers...wow I can't remember the last time I got to post - I feel so out of it LOL.
Firstly a huge congrats to Kel, welcom Liam....hope it's all going great for you.

Just popped in to say a quick hello, it's been nuts here. We moved into our new house...sooo exciting our very own home. We've already painted Charlie's room, new carpet & blinds & painted the toy room. Heading to Brisbane this week for a much needed shopping trip for couch, dining table etc. When moving from WA to QLD the removalist broke half our stuff, so we got a rather nice insurance cheque to spend (it actually worked in our favor). Big news is we sold our house in SA so that has taken a huge strain off...very exciting.
Kristie hope you are feeling better soon!! it's weird how we always get sick at the end of winter...hope you get a nice rest. Charlie woke up every night the other week & wouldn't sleep anywhere but our bed even though he's never slept in it....it was weird & now he has stopped. Just another thing our precious little kids go through....gee how good would it be if they were consistent.
Jen I know exactly what you mean, I go through the week not noticing DH is not really home...butwhen he works on Sat or Sun it doesn't feel right - he should be home with us. We always
head out too, funny how much you can achieve before 10am compared to before baby isn't it.
Disgirl the words are amazing aren't they, I get such a buzz when Charlie says something new. We were getting worried as he's had sooo many ear infections & wasn't saying much at all but all of a sudden they just start. Everything we see at the moment is a "puppy"so cute.

All is well here. We are still settling in and I am sooo glad that DH is home for so long. I definately wouldn't be coping without him. BFing is going ok, I am fully bfing this time (yayyyy) but it is really painful again. Attachment is pretty bad at the moment my bb's are in overdrive and are killing me. They're cracked, bleeding and grazed really badly again. But I got through it with Lily and I will do it again. I have seen the lactation consultant and mchn already, but got no new info than when I had troubles with Lil.
Liams a bit hit and miss with sleeping, last night was wonderful, 2 4hr stints, with a bf in bed in between so I didn't really wake up fully. But the night before I got maybe 4hrs if that, cause he was awake. Lil's still waking 2 times a night for a bottle, at the moment DH is doing that, and I take Liam, I don't know how I'll go on my own....Lily is really affectionate towards Liam, kissing him and patting his head all the time. Whenever he cries she has to tell someone. She's so cute with him.
Kaz I hear you on the washing. I just can't catch up at all at the moment. There's just sooo much washing created everyday. I do 2 loads a day and there's still stuff there at the end of the day. And now it's raining....grrrr!
Jen, I hear you on feeling old...man I feel OLD!!!! I just turned 30 and I think I feel more like 50! I looked int he mirror for the first time in ages the other day and it was a bit of a shock, grey hairs, wrinkles, bags....eeeekkkk! I really need to do some maintenence!

Well Pip is climbing everything. Found him today standing on his ride-on firetruck that he'd pushed over to the window, he was standing on it looking out. And occaisionally it would move away from the wall :rolleyes: But the French Doors are just next to the window ... go figure.
Still lots of snot here, but no conunctivitis any more, thank goodness. Go figure - the little man would giggle whenever we put the drops in his eyes?
Today we have our first parent/carer interview! So excited to make this milestone @ CC!

Jen, I hate it when DH is away (working) Saturdays too. Ben and I stay at mum's two nights a week (to shorten travel time to/from work) and we really miss DH by the time the weekend comes around. ATM I'm really in need of a sleep-in on Saturdays too...but don't always get them!
Mel, don't you love those trikes? We're considering taking the seatbelt/backrest off Ben's but when he gets tired he likes to lean back on it so I think we'll leave it on for a while yet.

Kel, well done on BFing Liam!!! Did the LC give you any more hints on attachment? When my nipples were cracked (how unbelievabley painful is it?) I found it was due to Ben not attaching properly. Hopefully Liam will improve a bit and give your poor boobies some relief soon! In the meantime slather on Lansinoh as often as you can and walk around topless! Let them roam free!!! LOL
Us, Ben has been brilliant lately. Sleeping and eating well - we actually can't believe how much he eats - far more than me!!! Still making us laugh every day. Me though, I've got some major constipation happening grrrrr. Nine days so far!!!! I'm sucking down Metamucil tablets like they're lollies, but so far no luck :( Apart from that Twobob is doing well!
We bought a new camera on the weekend so I can take photos again - yay!!!!

Kaz - LOl at pip giggiing when you put eye drops in! Climbing is a big things here as well - Dylan has worked out he can climb into his high chair - nearly gives us a heart attack...he just climbs up on the foot rest and then over top - we have the tray off obvioulsy...It's just crazy though!
In regards to a naughty chair - I don't use that but I have put him in time out at the back door however it hasn't worked very well...we used it on Louis and it worked perfectly but so far with Dylan he just thinks it's hilarious - he sits there really well but when we go back to him he just makes faces and then I end up laughing - not the best for trying to discipline him..I guess you just have to see what works for Pip...As I said it worked really well for Louis so who knows!
Disgirl - Dh works on Saturdays so he often gets the sleep in on Sundays...very rarely do I get one...I guess I just get used to it though...Glad Ben's going well - poor you with the const though - have you tried prunes?

All well here - have had an awful migraine all day and had to locate the "medicine cabinet" box and unpack it to find something to take for it.....irritating!
Had a nice boozy lunch yesterday on the water at Bondi which was nice and extremely different from what I am used to now being a mum so it came as a nice change to be with no bub (and people with no bubs so there was kid free conversation).
Scored a new coffee table and a massive awesome framed robot pic for Beau's new room from my friends apartment re-do so even more things to move!
Glad everyone is doing ok....

Jen, sorry you had the migraine - they are the absolute worst :(
I'm exhuasted, so if I stop making sense - that's why! :lol: Ben has had a couple of weird nights for him. Sun night, I could hear him laughing in his sleep (we still have the baby monitor since I can't hear him in his room from ours). Last night, he woke up twice, DH went in once, I went in once and he went back to sleep both times, but then for about a 20 minute period at about 4:30, he was making weird yelling noises! I'm sure he was sleeping, so I'm wondering if it's night terrors or something? Anyway, it's not helping my exhuastion - and he seems more tired than usual too. Weird!
Apart from that - all well on our side of things!

Urgghhh when are we going to feel better? This is ridiculous...I'm so not a good sick person...Poor Dylan has woken up all wheezy with an awful cough and is already back down to sleep. My chest is so painful...gosh I'm such a sook...Dh is back at work today so we're just chilling out...can't see anything much getting done at all really...

Us - well a shocker of a night here. Pip cried non-stop between 11pm and 4am. I'm going to stay here until around 10am, then drive to work with him, where DH will bring him home. Of course, tonight's the night one of my dearest friends is leaving the country to work in the USA (possibly forever) and we have a dinner tonight with him & his wife before we go to the airport. We sat in the shower for a while (twice), gave milk, panadol, teething gel, massage, clean nappies (twice) and coming into our bed. No idea what's wrong. Seeing the doc @ 2:15. Oh, there was coughing, screaming, sneezing, punching me and biting DH.
Anyhows, now to go to work to give him to DH so we both work a half day.
Jen - woohooo on the adult kid-free convo! And the coffee table/frame!
Oh Kaz what a shocker! Hope Pip is okay and you manage to function on no sleep you poor thing. I'll try to stop sooking about how little sleep I had now :lol:

Wow I have had a busy day running around and just had my friend here from Melbourne for lunch, I havn't seen him for a year and a half and he hadn't met Beau - he saw him for 10 grumpy/unsure minutes then slept the whole time!!!!!
Wow Kaz - poor you, DH and Pip! Did the doc say ear infection maybe?? I only know thats usually a cry fest?? Gosh you sure tried everything.:hug:
Kris - Hope you guys are feeling better after your chillout day - naughty you on a cup of tea! Got to keep up your strength for all your boys! Dont worry, Nathan was the last friend possibly coming over in the next 10days so EVERYTHING is going in the boxes now baby! No more keeping up appearances!
Dis - Far out, poor Benny! How weird? Maybe he had a funny belly? Or teeth? When Beau teeths he does weird things in the night like crying out, out of nowhere. Not sure hon, hope he sleeps thru tonight.
Us - Beau is happily munching on some apple log and pulling apart all his baskets in his storage wall thingo - DH was going up the coast on Saturday and Sunday to do a light sand on the boards and one coat of sealant but its my birthday on Saturday and Fathers Day on Sunday so I dont feel to excited about it!! I am not sure if I would enjoy it more or less if we went too- having to entertain Beau for 3hrs in the car..........mmmm.......might just chill out here

Us- Olivia fell asleep just after 5pm yesterday and I woke her at 6 for tea- wasnt very happy- screamed for about 2 hours. She slept from 8 til 2am then with us til 630am. At least she had a sleep today.

Well, we've had miserable bubbas here this afternoon...Louis just isn't eating and Dylan needed to be cuddled the whole time and everytime he coughs he cries etc etc...He's breathing is so laboured I'll really have to keep an eye on him tonight...They're both in bed now but who knows for how long...After I thought Dylan was asleep this morning he was yelling out for me and he fell asleep on me for a nap but otherwise has been up all day which certainly hasn't helped...
Jen - Yeah at packing everything now...I managed to pack a couple of boxes today (somehow?) but the house looks like a pigsty...Oh well - we'll get there! We've still got 24 days to go! Yeah at your birthday on Saturday! Hmmm...yeah a bit of a hard call...especially if dh is going to be busy working on stuff anyway...might be more awkward than anything...what a bugger though! I hope you do some nice things to spoil yourself anyway!
