OP - Alex is chilled like Juliette - just wants to have some food and sleep (thankfully) at the moment. Just trying to swing my routine in around Alex - so i can get enough sleep. I just don't function on 2hrs of sleep a night otherwise

I think Juliette had some wind and tummy pains last night as she was very unsettled and feeding just about every 2 hours! I got one lot of 3 hours sleep in and then it was just naps. She seems to be sleeping well during the day though!!

I had a visit from the MHCN yesterday and she checked everything out and was happy with how everything was going. Juliette had lost more than 10% of her body weight in hospital but had gained 94g at the last day weigh in so was only 7% down by the time we left. She gained another 74g in the 24 hours since leaving hospital so she is on the right track. However I'm noy sure how she is doing this as everything I put in one end seems to be coming straight out the other

    good weight gains nai!!!

i'm still waking millie for feeds over night due to the jaundice, hopeing after todays MCHN visit i'll be able to stop that. she only lost 5% in hospital and was weighed again by the doms. midwife on sunday and was only 30g off birth weight which is a surprise considering the jaundice and my blood loss!! i have soooooo much milk its not funny it drips out!!

need to see some pics of these gorgeous bubbas and melbourne girls we need to go for coffee!

Nai and AJP - glad to hear that bubs are putting on the grams!

Alex just had his checkup and he's put on 40g since birth. Not sure how much he lost in hospital etc, but he seems to be making up for it.

I am so proud of my little one. She is already above birth weight - our visit today by the MCHN was great, she weighed in at 3.85kg or 8lbs 8oz.

She has put on 285g in five days (since leaving hospital).

The best part was there is no way she could have put on that much weight if my milk had not come in - I know some of you have read my thread on milk coming in!

The nurse asked me my breasts feel any different and if I had felt anything like a let down - I said they feel fuller and heavier but I haven't gone up a cup size or anything and occasionally I feel these tingles in my breasts and she said that's a let down!

So I think I've been worrying about nothing. Is this what its like, being a mum? You worry all the time about things that can't really be controlled?

AJP - sounds like we have similar miss porkies Any update on waking her at night?? How's her jaundice?

    Coffee sounds good

Nai, I think Isabel does similar things at night time - she gets very unsettled, goes down for 5mins and then wakes again.

Will try and upload a pic of mini princess

    Hello all,
I just wanted to join this thread. Emilia Rose made her grand entry on 23rd Feb - 3 weeks early. Just got home today. So far she has beed alright. Awake on the hour all night last night, but I managed to catch a snooze this arvo when James (my 2yo DS, who I refer to as J) was having his arvo snooze. Boobs are like melons atm, and I had to have some stiches, but not in any pain with the stiches.
Look forward to getting to know you all and your bubs

hi can i join too? :d i was in the due march thread but bub had other ideas...

my beautiful boy leon was born on wednesday 25th at 7:30pm, 2854g. he was in a hurry to make his entrance - contractions started around 4:30pm out of the blue, i didn't believe it was the real deal until my waters broke at 5:15pm. my middy came around and checked me - i was 7 cms dialated rushed to birth centre (well tried to in peak hr traffic ) got there around 6:15 and a little over an hour later he was in my arms as he is my first, i'm a little concerned how quick any subsequent labours will be - i'm just glad he wasn't born born on the side of the road!

he is feeding beautifully, lost hardly any of his birth weight at his check yesterday. feeding is painful for me, but we'll get there.

looking forward to getting to know you all and your bubba's!
