Hi girls, I don't have much time, so I just thought I'd pop in and let you all know I'm still alive and well and still pregnant :) My midwife has been on holidays and is back today so I'm happy to go any time now, but I'm getting no inklings or anything just yet.
Camping was lovely and relaxing. The heat only bothered me twice so I took off to the shopping centre both times to relax in the aircon for a few hours.
Ben has been great. Sleeps in his big boy bed fine and even puts himself to sleep now. I just put him in there with his Thomas books and his milk and he gets himself off to sleep :) He got so spoilt at Chrissy that it's ridiculous. No idea where to put all his stuff.
I hope to have some time to log on in the next few days for a proper catch up :)

Hi all,
LOL, Jen, that's what my nephew used to call his penis when he was little- a woodle, now it's a whistle...??? And now he's 8!!! Glad to hear Beau's seems to be clearing up.
Mel, I am having trouble with Lily's sleeping again too. She's waking up heaps through the night and day sleeps are iffy, she's going from two to one and it's a scream fest whenever she goes down. I think she is getting her molars though. And we're on 2hrly night feeds with Liam too. I think it's cause AF is due and I think he's having a growth spurt. He's almost crawling too, which I sooo can't believe!
DG, glad to hear camping went well. I hope your checkup went well, not long to go now!!! I can't wait to hear your announcement!
Well it's stinking hot here going to be 41!! So it is an at home day for me. In the ac! DH has taken Lily out for the day thank goodness. I sooo needed a break from her. She's been whinging like no tomorrow. I wish he could take Liam for the day too, but I have to feed him....I know I could express, but I'm lazy! And he's really not hard to look after.
I am thinking about toilet training Lil. She seems really ready to do it, always takes off her nappy and is very interested in the toilet!
Anyway gotta go, I hope everyone is well.
-
Mel- glad to hear youre ok, any time now? wow where has the time gone. Good luck
Kel- yep we have molars coming through too, so I know its part of it, but its so horrible. Last night she took 45 minutes of screaming...attention screaming that is, to get to sleep. At least though she sleeps through til 7am.
Olivia has gone to my mums for 2 nights coz we have appointment after appointment. Just been to the chiropractor and for our 6 week check up. Have a script for the pill coz we had a woopsie a few weeks back...but luckily the pg test came back negative!!!! Rebecca has her hip u/s tomorrow and then next week its the hip review. Am hoping she is all good. The gp had a real good go at her hips today and said he felt nothing clunking out of place...so its promising:)
Well the next 2 days without Olivia is for cleaning, bookwork, going through the girls clothes to de clutter, cleaning my car, sleeping and I am getting my hair done tomorrow! Usually I go to a cheap quick cuts shop, but i booked in to hair house warehouse to get something proper and nice done. Am hoping I will have achieved alot today so tomorrow I can have a me day.....
Its hot, so I'm out of here!!!
-
Hi girls. Still waiting here, but I'm not due for a couple of weeks so there is no real rush yet.
Mel, that sounds really good about Rebecca's hips! Yay!!!!
Kel, hasn't the heat been awful? We've been camped out inside in the aircon. Such a relief to have some cooler weather today.
Us? We're doing great. Ben has been a real angel the last week or so. He now reads himself to sleep each night - we just put him into bed with a book and leave the lamp on. Ten minutes later he's fast asleep. He does it for day naps too. He doesn't try to get up or anything, I feel so lucky! The transition to a big boy bed was practically non-existant!!! He isn't eating much of anything though and has actually vomited once today and once yesterday. I think it might be his molars coming through, but the vomiting has kinda thrown me. He seems happy enough though so we're not too concerned.
I had some major BH last night. Used the breast pump for a while last night for a bit of a hurry up, then for two hours I had some serious, serious cramps and tightenings. Was on the verge of thinking it might be the real thing when they eased off. Needed panadol for sleep though. I'm hoping that this means bub is at least thinking of making an appearance soon. Months and months back I picked the 12th as the date of arrival so it would totally freak me out if that happened
I'm off for a lie down - take care!
-
Hello There everybody.....
Been busy around here harnessing DH ehile he is still off so have been working on the house a lot! Planted and ripped out a whole garden bed out the front - massive old hibiscus in there from 1960! Looks much more contemporary now but a lot shorter so hopefully all the plants grow fast to give us some more privacy!
Dis- Not long to go now! Is the new addition going to be a swans member in under 4 days to beat Ben? How amazing is he with his Thomas book and trotting off to bed? How much milk do you give him at night time just wondering? I am glad its cooler too - we have jumped in the lake a few times to cool off while working....thats great about your BH, are you getting much colostrum when you pump?
Mell- Thats great you some time with just Becca, and excellent about Olivia's hips - good luck! How is your hair? I got my colour done yesterday too! How are olivia's day sleeps going now? Do you think she is ready to drop them altogether?
Kel- Wow, I didnt realise Lily was still on two day sleeps, far out! Maybe if she goes to one, her nights will improve too? Glad you are having some time just with Liam too- Good luck with the toilet training!
Us- Beau has taken to waking at 5am, and I cant keep my eyes open! I know Im not as bad off as you guys up 20 times a night but still!! Hope I am tired from being PG! Heres hoping! Went shopping with my SIL today but was dampened by a bit of a fight with DH last night about money so only used some gift vouchers to buy a dust buster - exciting!!! Apart from that, Beau is ok, said "mum mum and dada" last night which was a bit thrilling!!!
Anyone heard from Kris or Kaz lately?
-
OOOhh Jen- i hope youre tired too from being pregnant!!! Olivias day sleeps are still up the putt but i managed to get her into bed and asleep by 1pm today...after 30 minutes of crying. I hate leaving her to cry, but i can see how tired she is and she fights it. Yesterday she didnt have a sleep at all and was ok but grizzly at times. She slept from about 715pm til 730am...cant complain! I dont know if shes ready to drop them all together, but I hope not, I still like my time out during the day.
Mel- good luck with all those pains. Looking forward to your birth announcement. I wish I didnt have any problems with transferring Olivia into her big bed....oh its a night mare!
Kel- I hear you on the nightmare stuff...Olivia has been delightful!!! She is also telling us when shes going to the toilet, but hates sitting on the potty. Shes happy to sit on it and pretend to grunt, but gets up and does the real thing elsewhere!!!! Sounds really yuck with the heat too. Hope you have a good break from Lil. I had a good one from Olivia, got stacks of stuff done, but I did miss her and she changed in 2 days...more words, different facial expressions!!
Have been sneaking in to check up on Kristie in her 2005 babie buddies group. Sounds as though shes had a few unsettled times with Ethan but things are improving. Havent heard from Kaz or Von.
Rebeccas alright too, I think she had her growth spurt...finished the 2 hour feedings and 2 nights ago I got 4.5 hrours sleep straight. She had hr ultrasound for her hip, the ultrasound went ok yesterday, I asked loads of questions and because I had been there before with Olivia, I knew which questions to ask to satisfy me. Basically Rebecca has above 70% coverage on both hips which is fantastic, Olivia had only 23%, and they werent able to dislocate them either. The only concern that they have is that the left hip cup is a bit rounded and they are not sure if this is because it is still cartlidge. I have been booked in for another ultrasound in 6 weeks and we are seeing the orthopaed next Thursday to discuss the results. Am hoping for no treatment, but if we do have to going on those figures of coverage and the inabitlity to dislocate the hips, it will be minimal....I hope:)
Well, I have had a productive 2 hours since the girls have been asleep...cooked lasagna, brought in washing and sorted it out, put on another load, tided up and surfed the net. Better put the washing out and wake up Olivia. Take care all

Hi!
I'm here!!! I'm sooo sorry!! It's been soo crazy around here...it's only the last 2 nights the Ethan has been going to sleep around 7-8pm ish and sleeping ok...prior to that he was up til around 10pm each night and I was just exhausted! Actually, I booked him in to the Chiro on Tues and since then he's been way more settled...
Boys are well - Dylan is now in his big bed since Wed night and is doing really well! He's so gorgeous he doesn't yell out for us he just hops up and knocks on the door to get our attention - LOL! In saying that though he hasn't been getting up a lot or anything. He's such a gorgeous little boy at the moment...Talking lots and learning new words all the time. He's very good at sharing and loves to feed us! LOL! Louis is well - so grown up I can't believe it! A lot of the time it's like we have another little adult around...he's so much wiser than his years...
Me...I'm well other than getting my 3rd cold since Ethans arrival - grrr.. I was able to have a nanna nap this arvo which was great - dh watched the kids - I so needed it! I was feeling quite drained for a while with Ethan but am coping much better now that he's settled - he was just crying all day the poor little thing and won't take a dummy and poor Louis and Dylan have been missing out on so much. They're such good big brothers though!
The big decision though is...no more bubbas for us! Dh has been very certain and after getting through this first 2 months I think I would lose my marbles if I had another one! LOL! I also feel very grateful for my 3 healthy boys and am looking forward to doing lots of fun stuff with them all which has been a bit difficult with another baby around...
Also...come next christmas it will mean I have my body back for the first time in nearly 5 years! (by the time I finish bfing!) No wonder I'm tired! LOL! I have an incentive to get back to 56kg (which is about 5-6kg to lose) which is a $1000 shopping spree! Woohoo - all for me - which I'm very excited about - normal clothes and normal underwear! LOL!
Anyway, enough of my dribble...
I'm sorry I don't have the energy to catch up on all the posts I've missed...I'll just go back a few and then try and keep up from now on! I often try and read when I'm up with Ethan so if you see some replies in the middle of the night it's cos I'mup after a feed! LOL!
Mel - Bugger on Olivias sleeps being a drama..I remember Louis going through a stage around the same age and it really was a battle...his were hit and miss from about 2yo and from about 2 1/2 it was rare for him to have them unless we're in the car (same as now...)
Hope everything stays well with Rebeccas hips...
JenSam - Ooh I hope your p/g!! Good luck!
Disgirl - Wow - I hope it all happens for you soon - how exciting!!!
Kel - I hope you get some more sleep soon!
Hi to anyone I've missed! Must go...a few things to do and then it's bed for me! Chat later!
-
Just a quick one from me to let you know nothing is happening here yet. I have had a stomach bug for the past two days. That explains Ben's vomiting too - since he was the one kind enough to pass it on to me. I've basically felt absolutely terrible for two days and it's even a struggle to sit here at the 'puter now.
I've had a few BH again, but haven't been using any kind of induction techniques, so that's about it. Now I'm more worried about getting healthy and energetic again before going into labour anyway!
-
Hi!
Disgirl, sorry to hear about your tummy bug...the last thing you need at the moment...I'm sure labour will hold off until your all better..our bodies are pretty good at that stuff! Rest up!!
Had a shocker of a day with Ethan...he's definitely keeping us on our toes! I just hope he sleeps ok tonight...I still feel sick with a cold although dh let me have a sleep in this morning which was much appreciated.
Hope you're enjoying your weekends! Chat later!
-
Hellloooo ladies!
Mel, glad to hear that R's hips are ok, hopefully that next appt will clear her completely. I can sympathise on the sleep issues, still having them here too. I've gotten used to functioning on under 5hrs broken sleep. DH is home for a few days so I will get to have a bit of a break, yay!
Dis, we lived in the aircon for a few days too. And went to mums for a swim. But Lil is scared of the pool. She's never been swimming in a big body of water becasue of her ear problems, so we are going to have to get her used to it now! She does love the water though so that's a good thing.
We need to transition Lily to her bed. We've had it for a few months now but are yet to try her out in it on her own. She sleeps in it with DH sometimes during the arvo, but not by herself yet. I was trying to wait til her sleep issues were over but I'm thinking they're NEVER going to be over!
I hope you're well and that things are stirring for you! And that you're feeling better.
Jen, so are you pg, are you, are you, huh, huh?????? Hehehe, I just found out a good friend of mine is 11wks pg, I'm so excited for her. I have to live vicariously now, cause DH has said no more kidlets...:( a good and bad thing I guess, I'm torn if I want another or to just get on with things and be happy with the family unit we have now. Not that I'm not happy! But ykwim!!
Yeah, Lil stil has 2 day sleeps, but they're only about 1hr each. I tried for a few days to give her only one day sleep, but it seemed to make everything worse, cause then she only had one one hour sleep. When she has the two she gets at least 2hrs even though it's broken up, kwim. So we're back to the 2 day sleeps. She isn't TOOOO bad at night the past couple of nights, maybe 2-3 wakes a night, sometimes only once. But it goes in waves.....Hope B's waking later, but I can symapthise with 5am wake ups, they absolutely SUCK!!
Kris, I hope Ethan has settled for you.
It's kinda sad when you decide on no more kids huh? I am sort of coming to terms with it. And I can see where my DH is coming from, but the urge to have more is so hard to quiet down! I can only imagine how hard it will be in a year or two when I have the feeling coming back already to have more....But I hear you on the longing to have your body back too! I can't wait to be able to do what I want when I want, like having more than one drink!
We're doing ok. Lily is such a character. She always doing something silly be it on purpose to make us laugh or just something that she discovers she can do....she's such a funny thing! I am starting the toilet training tomorrow. DH is home so it will make life a bit easier. Ok should go to bed, it's almost midnight! I had a 2hr nap this arvo with Liam that's why I'm still up....
-
Hi!
Kel - It certainly is a hard decision to finish having bubbas...I think I will struggle in a few months time also but dh is so certain he doesn't want more - he only wanted 2 so I've got my way having another one so I'm sure that will be it...we have decided when I get super clucky again (it's inevitable!) we will get a puppy dog...LOL!!
Gosh - 5h sleep??? That would do my head in every night...I need at least 6 to get through the next day...Luckily dh gets up to the 2 older boys so I only have to deal with the baby...Hope you manage to catch up on some sleep over the next few days!!
Wow - your keen on the tt?? I don't think I'll bother with Dylan for a while yet...for one, it's just to hard with the baby at the moment and I just don't think he's anywhere near ready either...it takes such a big effort if their not ready yet that I figure I may as well wait a until he's 2ish and shows real signs of being ready...
We had a nice morning taking the boys to Lilydale Lake for a mothers group thing...The boys loved having a run around which was great! Dh is back at work tomorrow which I'm not looking forward to - his holidays went way to quickly!!
k...best get back to bed! Chat later!
-
NOTHING happening here! No tightenings, cramps, pains, show or ANYTHING happening. I think this bub might stay put until at least his/her due date. I guess that's okay, but I'm starting to get impatient already!!!!
-
Enjoy the peace Disgirl! LOL!! Nah..I know how hard the last weeks can be...I was sooo impatient with Dylan but funnily enough was more than happy to wait for Ethans arrival!!
Had a quiet day with dh back at work...although was mayhem trying to cook a roast with Ethan needing to be held and Louis and Dylan annoying each other and tired and cranky! Lucky dh gets home early or it would have been impossible!
Have stayed up way to late watching the second season of Love my way (watched 5 episodes cos I couldn't turn the dvd off!)...am going to pay for this in the morning - LOL! Chat later!
-
Mel- like Kristie said...enjoy this last week or so. I was impatient as well, its so exciting to finally meet your little bundle. I hope all goes well for your birth and that Bens ok with his new sibling. How is the sick little tacker anyway??? Do you have someones contact number on BB so we can post a birth announcement???
Kris- wow must be a good show to stay up that late!!! I cant do it, coz I know what I have to face the next morning!!!!
Olivia had a nightmare last night and wouldnt go back in her cot, so I lay down with her in her toddler bed...cramped for space....she fell asleep ok in there. DH went to check on her this morning and she was fast asleep on the floor. Poor little mite. He brought her to our bed and shes still sleeping. Maybe this is where I start with the bed, then I can look at getting Becca out of our room, but shes still up overnight, so Im not sure what to do.
Got the MCHN check today to see how much shes grown...shes huge now. She smiles and cooes and is crying now...better go:) Its going to be hot here today, so will pull out the little pool....yay
-
Okay, hopefully I have a little more time today.
Kel, you are very keen on the toilet training! Ben is nowhere near ready. I reckon we're at least a year away with him. He is fascinated when his dad does a wee, but only sometimes tells us when he's done a poo, so he doesn't even really recognise that yet.
Mel, excellent news on Rebecca's hips! Have fun splashing in your pool.
Kris, how are you feeling after your late night? I bet the kids were up earlier than usual. That's always the way!
Jen, well....are ya? :) It's going to be another hot few days so I bet you'll be jumping in that lake again soon.
Us, we had a shocker last night. Ben's decided that bedtime is sometime after midnight. 12:30am last night 1am the night before :( He's been a bugger to put down too. I just have this feeling that he knows something really big is going to happen soon and he's playing up a bit. He's also SO hungry that it's crazy. I wouldn't be able to eat what he eats in a day - I'm not kidding! Do they typically go through a growth spurt now or is he still just recovering from being ill?
I'm exhausted after our late night. At least I went to the loo for the first time since I was sick so that is helping to make me feel a little better, although, I'm feeling a bit nauseous, probably from lack of sleep rather than pre-labour. I'm not totally sick of being pregnant yet, but the not knowing is the part that's getting to me! Craig finally installed the capsule yesterday so at least we can get bub home now - with Ben, we got the capsule installed and I went into labour the next day. Hmmmm... I don't think I could deal with labour with how tired I am right now!
Stay out of the heat everybody, I think it's hot everywhere today!
-
Hi there!
Oh phew - my mum and her husband have been here for three days and they just left and I have put Beau down and DH is back at work at the house is quiet!! Beau does not like my mums husband at all and cries and whinges when he is anywhere near him - it makes it really hard though and my mum raised us to be seen and not heard IYKWIM and they dont really understand and get a bit offended? Does anyone else have this problem? He doesnt make an effort to be silly or play with B tho and think this is half the problem. Beau is just so shy and covers his eyes when he is with strangers and cries if anyone says hi to him at the shops etc. What do you do????
Dis- Ah hah! The capsule could be the key!!! Fingers crossed it is tomorrow and you get a good night sleep tonight and Ben goes to bed early for you! Youre prob right tho - they know when something is going on for sure! You are lucky Ben eats so much, I worry Beau doesnt eat enough - how much milk does Ben have a day now? Good luck and thinking of you for when you start labour:pray:
Mel - Poor Olivia with a nightmare, they are the worst - what about her falling asleep on the floor?! She must have been exhausted. Good luck trying with the bed - Ikea have a bed rail that is the length of the bed for 20dollars, I am going to get one of those for Beau when we get a bed eventually! Good news about Becca's hips - good luck on thursday.
Kris - Nice to hear from you! Sorry you are under the weather tho - DH sounds like he is helping you out a lot which is awesome, must be sad deciding to have no more, i secretly like the idea of a surprise happening down the track when we have "finished" too! You have your lovely three though to focus on - sounds like a puppy is a great idea! Love my Way is my absolute favourite show of all time! Although I dont like Ben Mendhelson as Frankie's husband! Or his son! Such a brilliant show tho!
Kel- LOL at Lil's sleep probs NEVER being over! Made me laugh! Good luck with the big bed, I understand you still want her having the 2hr sleep, b's are hit and miss length wise now, he can have anywhere from one hr to 2hrs, mostly 1 tho! I am sure she will get used to the water soon enough....AF is due in a few days so we will see......you guys will be the first to know (after Dh of course!)
We are good here - we will miss DH now he is back at work, he didnt sleep last night dreading it! Wish I could have stayed up watching the Golden Globes but I was buggered and only lasted til 9:30 - such a looser!
Oh well have a good Tuesday x
-
Thanks for the good wishes Jen, but the capsule didn't do the trick. Ben had another late night, but 11pm is better than 1am so we're making some progress at least. He still drinks a LOT of milk during the day as well. Usually around 400mls? He loves his milk. He wasn't such a pig yesterday, but still ate very well.
What do you mean you'd tell your DH before us if you were UTD? Where are your priorities? ;)
It's going to be a scorcher here today. I'll be locking up the house soon and the aircon will be on all day. I don't care what the electricity bill is going to be, no way am I sweltering in my condition!
-
Hi!
Wow - it's so hot here! Meant to be 39 today and was super hot yesterday! We put the little pool up for the kids yesterday for a splash so that was nice.
Hit a milestone with Dylan yesterday - and one I'm not very happy about - He didn't have a day sleep at all!! GRRR! Poor little thing though did 3 poos between 1pm and 2.45pm though and then another after he got up at 3pm so I'm hoping he just had too much going on to get to sleep! He did pretty well missing it though until it got closer to bedtime so we'll see what happens today.
I'm a bit urgh today...just feeling like I need a bit of a break...this cold seems to be lingering and I appear to have AF which seems very strange - I assume it's from me going back on the minipill and just generally tired from the boys. I don't feel like a very good mummy at the moment as I'm not doing much with Louis and Dylan at all...they pretty much just occupy themselves and watch tv all day...I think they're getting very bored and frustrated though I nearly died yesterday when Louis bit Dylan - so hard it left a bruise! Gosh...
Sorry for the vent...
Mel - I shouldn't have stayed up - Ethan ended up being so unsettled so I only got about 5 hours sleep all night! Very silly! I went to bed at 9.30pm last night so got a little more sleep in. I feel like I could sleep for a week at the moment. Ethan was still up at 1.30am and 5.45am for a feed...am looking forward to feeds just once a night - anytime soon would be great! LOL!
How did the mchn check go? Are the girls going to be sharing?? We put Louis and Dylan together from about 3 months old. Dylan still woke 100 times a night but after a week or so Louis never even woke up from him. He still doesn't!! Thats very lucky though...If Louis wakes up so does Dylan though - he's a very light sleeper!
Disgirl - What a bugger that Ben's staying up so late! Not sure about a growth spurt now..I think they can have them anytime really...Hope you get some rest before bubs arrives! I know what you mean - the anticipation is a killer!!
Wow - Ben has heaps of milk! Dylan only has 1 cup with lunch and thats it. He has yoghurt in the morning though and cheese in his sandwich so he's getting plenty of calcium!
Jensam - I don't think you need to worry about Beau - the more we generally want them to be friendly with people the more they back away! LOL! Dylans a little social butterfly who'll go up to anyone for a cuddle but Louis is a lot more hesitant and takes a while to warm up to people - I think it's just in their little personalities a bit...and probably a bit of an age thing as well...
I have moments of sadness although more and more I'm feeling a bit of relief that I won't have to do all this again!! I love my little monkey boy but gosh it's really taken it's toll on me this time around. I can't wait for him to get a couple of months older and to settle a bit so we can all enjoy our time together! Louis and Dylan have been very patient with him thats for sure - I'm always cuddling and holding him...I think it's affected Dylan more than Louis though in one respect...I really feel like Dylans the poor middle child at the moment. I'm always with Ethan but because Louis can communicate so well he's always talking to us whereas Dylan just sort of cruises along on his own. I really need to make an effort to try and get some one on one time with him soon...He's such a different little kid when he's on his own opposed to being with Louis.
Ok...better see if I have time to quickly jump in the shower before bubs wakes up...he's all out of whack this morning...routine is not something that's working in this house at the moment! LOL!
Chat later!
