Hey All,
We went away for the long weekend for a family holiday to Walkerville which is down the coast about 2 hours from Melbourne near Wilsons prom. We stayed at Adams brothers holiday house. It was great fun. Went walking and to the beach...we all got sunburnt and the wind chill was frezzing. Olivia jumped straight into the sea, fully clothed. Shes such a water girl.
Rebeccas been good, she rolled on Friday from back to front and has been doing it every since!!!
Well, my bath is ready...hope you are all well:)

How funny's that Mel, we spent the long weekend at Tarra Valley (near Yarram) which was ... interesting ... to say the least.
New camper trailer and we could get Pip to sleep in his end, but he was waking up screaming every night ... 2am Friday night ... 3 am Saturday night ... 4:30am last night. Least we were getting a bit more sleep first! Ended up taking him into bed with us but it meant I froze on the edge of the bed and he stole my pillow. He's pillow-obsessed!!!! Totally obsessed! It was very cute though when he "found" his Charlie (galah) so gave him big kisses on his beak! So cute!
Jen - I found myself saying to Pip "I don't care what you think" cause I'm over-tired most of the time :( I hate it, wish I could get enough sleep and clean and relax and actually play with him. Ahhh well.
Isn't it cute now that they are communicating with us? Asking what's wrong when they are crying and they can tell us they are "hungry" or "hurts" etc.
anyhows, have a lovely night all, hope you all get a good night's sleep.

Jen, how's Beau? I find Nurofen MUCH better than panadol. Tastes a lot yummier too, panadol is gross. Does Beau gravitate toward the older kids at playgroup? Ben always loves playing with older kids rather than kids his own age. It's a bit of a worry sometimes because they don't realise that he's so much smaller than them!
Mel, sounds like a great weekend. I'm dying to get away, but I'm still working on Craig for Japan next year, so I think I'll try to hold out for that instead than a weekend away. Actually, I'd love both!
Kaz, We went camping in a camper trailer between Chrissy and New Year and Ben had a shocking night one night. I hate thinking that you're going to wake up the rest of the campground! I ended up taking him for a drive that night because I couldn't stand it anymore. Very fun when you're 8.5 months preggas, unfamiliar with the area and it's 3am!
The communication now is SO much better. Every time Ben uses a sentence Craig and I break into silly little grins. It's amazing watching them develop. Ben's still having trouble with some sounds though - he can't even say his name properly - he's "Nen". Strange since he can say Ball, Bounce and a bunch of other 'B' words. I guess we'll just have to keep trying.
We went to the nurse again this morning for Jared's 6-8 week check. He's even more of chunk now - 6.2kgs! Ben didn't weigh that until he was 3.5 months old... Jared is only seven weeks! I won't be able to carry him if he keeps gaining at this rate
Hope you're all well :)

Hi Girls,
Still got a sick bubba here - he is a bit better (always when DH comes home!!) - I am still using the Nuerofen Dis, although its tough getting it in there!! Beau kind of does go for the older ones, although the little boy the same age as Beau always kicks him so I think thats why he steers clear! They (the older ones) like Beau cause he is the same size but i dont think they can work out why he isnt as advanced as them:D Glad Jared is doing so well weight wise, I have been carrying B the past few days as he wont walk anywhere! My back is killing me! How cute that Ben is saying sentences!
Kaz - Oh I am sure I say the equivalent of that, if not that exactly, especially the past few days!!
Mel - Yay at going away! Hope you had a nice break, congrats on Becca rolling!
I hope Beau improves tomorrow - I need to get out of the house, but after Monday's episode I am spooked about going out with him not being 100%....
Anyway good nite xxx
-
Oh Mel, I forgot to say congrats on Becca rolling! What a clever little girl :)
Jen, I hope Beau is feeling better soon. Is it a coldy kinda thing or a bug? You probably said earlier, but I'm lucky if I can remember my own name most days!
I hate carrying Ben now. After carrying a bub half his weight, it sure is a change!
We went to an indoor play area this morning and I really should do it more often. Three other kids form B's mum's group were there, and he even played with one of them briefly  He had a ball though, mostly just running around kicking a ball (he's soccer obsessed), but at least he wore himself out. J got lots of cuddles too and he's asleep now as well.
It's raining and I had a whole bunch of nappies on the line. Oh well, I think we have enough for at least tomorrow :)
Can you believe we are almost halfway through March? :(
-
Hello hello hello echo echo echo!
Everyone very busy I guess!
I know Dis, where does the time go? Beau has more of a coldy thing, its turned all phlemy (sp?) now so he has a little cough - he seems happier the last two days but I have kept him home from playgroup yesterday for fear of infecting other bubbas. My sanity is suffering for it though! We just came back from a big walk with the dogs and now I am buggered! Good on you for getting to the play centre thingy - i am sure Ben loved it!
Hope everyone is well and happy x

Sorry I havent posted much...cant even remember when I did and too lazy to look back!!! Well I am so tired, Olivia has decided to wake at 2am every night for the past 3 or 4 nights and Becca has been waking for nightly feeds....except last night she slept 11 hours, pity Olivia was awake again. Olivia has taken to "mummy nigh nighs" wanting me to sleep with her at all times. GGGRRRR. Shes also chucking some woping tanties, the pther day I had to put her in her room because she was throwing things. OMG where did she get that from because we dont throw things when we are angry?
I'm also feeling a bit flat again coz am not having much luck with my weight. I was going to see a personal trainer but at the moment money is a bit tight. So am going to see if mum will lend me her treadmill.
Other than that we are all good health wise. Most of the kids in mothers group have been sick, one was hospitalised with pneumonia.
Whats everyone doing this year for birthdays? We are just having immeadiate family over for a bbq dinner and at mothers group we will have a joint party.
Anyway take care all.

Hello ladies,
Wow has it really been two weeks since my last post??? Sorry! I have been busy. But then who isn't?! I only really get time to post on weekends...
Well, we are going ok. As I said just really busy. Working some extra hours. I will be doing one whole day every week for the next few weeks. Lil and Liam are really good. Lily has started hurting Liam, kicking and hitting him at every opportunity, but then giving him big cuggles and kisseys too. She really is too cute at times, and soooo amazingly frustrating the next minute! Everything is 'MINE!" now too. No matter what it is, if she was sitting in the chair I just sat in, it's mine, if I am drinking the same thing she was (not her drink, just the same drink) it's mine, if Liam is playing with something that she was its mine....everything is hers!! She's also becoming a daddy's girl, often preferring him over me which is kinda nice sometimes cause she's now not whinging for me so much when I am feeding Liam or when I clean or do stuff around the place :)
Can you believe our babies are nearly TWO??? Only one month til Lily is 2, OMG!!! We will be up in Qld for her bday this yr, so we get to celebrate it with DH family. These two years have truely flown. I was just thinking last night that I was probably jsut pregnant with Liam now (now that he's almost 7mths old) that's how old Lily was when I got pg again. Eeeek!! I can't imagine how I managed!
Sleeping....don't mention it and neither will I!! They are both having their days, though there was one glorious night where I got 6hrs sleep straight! It was heavenly! Then he only woke one other time, Lily woke once and DH got up for her anyway, oh I'd give my left foot for another night like that.......well not quite, but it would be lovely to have another good night's sleep.Since then they've been either tag-teaming or one of them has a horrific night. Last night Liam was awake 4 times I think, and Lily 2. Though for some reason I'm not feeling as tired as I thought I would.
Liam is crawling properly now. He has been for a while, been commando crawling for months now! He can crawl up my mums stairs in her loungeroom...only 2 but it wasn't until Lil was about 10 mths that she could do it!! He's sitting and saying bubba and mumma already too. He's got two teeth and the top ones are coming any day now too. He's growing waaaaayyyyy too fast for me, especially being my last bub :(
Lily is coming up with new things every day and understands so much. She surprises me sometimes with what she understands. The other day she took my breaky plate to put into the sink (yep training her well!!) and it had my burnt crust still on it. I said to her 'Put the plate in the sink and the crusts into the bin' fully expecting to find soggy crusts in the sink later, but I wathced her and she went to the sink and took the crusts off the plate, dropped it into the sink and put the crusts into the bin!!! Oh I was soooo proud!!!! I can ask her to get me anything for Liam too, nappies, clothes (even specific items!) she's just getting so clever and big!
Ok enough of my rambling, I hope everyone is well and have a great weekend!
-
Kel, yay on your clever little boy! I can't believe he's doing all that stuff already - what a clever munchkin!
I am also constantly amazed by what Ben understands. He is also very good at putting things in the sink, only our leftovers get given to the dog - even perfectly good food at times :( No wonder the dog loves B!!!
Bugger about the bad nights still. It's unbelievably hard when they tag team :(
Mel, those tanty's sound awful! I don't think they need to learn to throw from see it, it's just a way for them to get their anger or frustration out.
I'm sorry you're not having much luck with your weight. I haven't been able to join the gym yet either. Mum went away and is back in a week. She's our creche! So we're joining as soon as she's back :) I'm hoping to fit into a pre-pg dress for a wedding at the end of next month... we'll see. I'm mostly in my pre-pg clothes but I'm eating SO much rubbish food in the middle of the night when I'm up with J.
As for birthday parties, we're doing exactly the same as you. BBQ with immediate family, but that's bloody huge anyway. Craig and I each have three siblings, nearly all are married and we have 9 nieces and nephews. When we all get together it's a bit chaotic, but fun :)
Jen, good on you for keeping Beau home. I know it seems like common sense, but a lot of parents don't do that :( I took both boys to the park yesterday and ended up walking a couple of kms - the long way home. Pushing B on his bike and wearing J, I was absolutely knackered when I got home! Felt good afterwards though :)
We went to an open day at the montessori pre school where I went to send B earlier today. I love, love, love it! It's so $$$ though. $100/week for three hours a day! Ben had a ball though, and I think Craig could see how it would be so easy for him to learn things there. We'll just have to see how we go with finances though. I mean, $4000+ a year could get us all to Disneyland
-
Wow thats a lot of money Mel for a pre school. What kind of stuff do they do there that warrents that much money? Disney land sounds great:) We have about 30 people coming to the bbq, luckily most of my family arent partnered up coz I have 7 siblings and none of them have children yet. DH has 2 brothers and both have 2 girls each.
Olivia is sleeping, yay, am off there in minute. Shes been so into me going to sleep next to her. She wakes up in the night and comes to our bed...mummy nigh nighs. This morning I did it again at 2am, but at 630 I said no and she screamed the whole house awake. SHes not happy to have dh sleep next to her. Actually i just want her to be able to go to sleep on her own. This week I have removed the clothes basket and bean bag from her room to stop her opening the door. Today she had a pillow infront of the door, obviously didnt work coz she ended up asleep. Shes getting so tall so it wont be long before she wont need anything. I just shut the door till shes asleep, then open it til she wakes. Am thinking of putting the gate on her door....might make some difference?
At least becca sleeps well!!!
Ok, sorry for my ranting
-
Mel - Pip's tall enough to open the doors and has been for a couple of months. We have to make sure he doesn't watch us unlocking the door to the stairs so he doesn't get out.
Well the little boy bit me again yesterday, right on my jawline and left a huge lump there, sill sore. Not happy!
Wow, what a cost for a pre-school! Which school would he go to after then?
hope everyone's doing well.
-
Hey Kaz, hows your jaw? thats terrible that hes doing that. I hope it doesnt last much longer. My niece was the same, she got asked to leave 2 child care centres coz of her biting. Shes a wild one that one!!!! Shes now six and hasnt been biting for a while. I will ask my sil what they did to help stop it.
We are going along terrible with this whole sleep thing. A month ago Olivia was droping her day sleeps, and I made her get them back.....now at night she wont sleep til11pm after hours of screaming. Poor Becca, although Becca sleeps through Livs screaming...I dont know how. DH wants me to stop Olivias sleeping during the day but shes tired already and I am trying to get her down early, although I can still hear her. I dont know what to do. And shes still waking during the night. I know her back teeth are giving her grief, but this cant go on! I shouldnt complain though, I know how much trouble you are having Kel with your little ones and I honestly dont know how you manage!!!
OK thanks for the vent!

Hello All....
Far out! I just mowed all our lawns and did some edging by hand and sweeping up - we so need a whippersnipper! I am pooped! Beau is great now around loud noises like the lawnmower and dustbuster etc, he has been hopeless until recently! I feel really good today, I had a terrible week with him last week, with him sick/teething and having tantrums the minute he woke up, I found myself in tears - a lot! I am v emotional atm too - not sure if its pmt or....I hope I am PG, It was due yesterday - fingers crossed for me! The smell of the sushi place at the shops made me sick yesterday so I hope thats a sign!
Dis - I guess that is a bit expensive, if you really want him to go there and trust them I am sure you will make it work. I have to call up the pre-school when Beau turns 2, I dont have any plans to send him there soon though, maybe when we have another bub. Yeah Dis, I get irritated when parents bring kids that are sick so its only respectful I think - even though I needed the break from home badly! I always feel better if I get up and go and walk the dogs with B or to the shops or something too, good on you for taking the long way home though!
Kaz- You poor thing with Pip biting you - I get so upset when B even hits me hard by accident with his head or whatever, let alone a bite. You must get a fright/shock - its hard to handle I am sure.
Mel - How frustrating with Olivia's sleep! You must be buggered being up that late with her and then Becca too. I would play each day as it comes, if she is tired put her down in the day, but do it at the same time every day if you can. Then if she isnt tired at that time, skip it. At least Becca sleeps through Olivia's noise! That would stress me out even more, trying to shush her aswell. Lets hope its just her teeth and she settles for you soon - what sets her screaming off at night? Just a tantrum or over tired do you think?
Ok, I am getting my feet up while Beau is asleep, mowing the lawn in thongs is hard on the feet!
-
OOOH Jen....I hope youre pg too. Best of luck:)
What sets her off???? Mummy nigh nighs.....thats it, she wants me to sleep next to her. I could get her to sleep quickly if I do it, problem is that when she wakes in the middle of the night, she expects me to come into her room and lay down next to her and if I dont we have tantrums from hell!
-
Ooohhh Mel! Mummy nigh nigh's sounds so cute but I am sure the cute factor is gone now! I dont know what you can do there - Beau has been cracking major tanties too - mostly I try and distract him before it starts, but like Olivia going to sleep, sometimes its not approprate and you are just too tired of trying to keep them happy IYKWIM? You know its going to happen anyway...I have been ignoring him and purposefully going into another room and being cool towards him. They tend to end faster than when I try and placate him.
-
Oooh, Jen, I have my fingers crossed for you!
Mowing the lawn in thongs? Why not sneakers?
Kaz, B went through a biting stage when he was getting some teeth. I lived in constant fear that he was going to bite another kid. I hope Pip's phase passes soon.
Mel, the sleeping seems really out of whack for you guys. I hope it is just Liv's teeth. At least then there is an end in sight!
I had a migraine yesterday, brought on by a cup of coffee. Well, there were other triggers too, but that was the final straw. Jared was really unsettled and hungry last night so I think the coffee might have messed up my supply a bit too. He's not fairing much better today. This is the fourth time I've sat down to write this!
Ben has been great still though. Started taking a lot more interest in his brother, but not overly attentive yet so it's good.
Well, gotta go. A million things to do while Jared is happy to sit in his swing!
-
Jen it was cute at the start now its.....ggggrrr!!!! Every night we put her in her room and shut the door behind us. She used to lay in bed with her bottle of milk and go to sleep. Now we have to put her in bed, put the bottle on the ground and walk out quickly coz she runs out. Sometimes she goes into her bed drinks her milk and goes to sleep but mostly its, scream mummy nigh nighs, then drink milk, then come back to the door and scream for me for however long it takes for her to go to sleep or we give in and lay with her. I just dont know what to do anymore.
Its 230 and shes tired......what do i do?
-
Oooohhh, good luck Jen :crossfingers: :goodluck:
