Danni - No I haven't...I'm just not comfortable with it in case he falls on his tummy...
Thats great that it's working for you though...probably better for his wind! I'm certain as his wind settles down that Dylan will sleep for longer as well...At the moment I just have more of a routine of feed, play, sleep, play, sleep...
It was so nice...the PIL have a spa bath so I had a bath with Dylan tonight and then dh got him out and dressed and I had a bit of a spa on my own! So nice! MIL cooked up a storm as well - it's been so nice just to kick back with the kids and not have to worry about chores as such. I've just been playing with them all day!
Hey there girls, I agree with Caro. Get a sleep positioner - some bubs just love it on their side. I found it often got Charlie to sleep better on his side & it helped me to pat his bottom when trying to settle him in his bed. I've also used a big soft teddy, nestled it into him so he wouldn't roll over & at the same time he thought he was getting a cuddle & would sleep for ages.
Kristie I am sooooo jelous, sounds like you had a great time and are all relaxed. Going to the hairdressers alone last week is the only relaxing I have done in ages Good to hear you enjoyed yourself.
Living so far away from our families & close friends is often hard but the PIL are coming to visit in Oct & I can't wait. Will be heading out for a night alone with DH for sure!!! Then my best friend arrives the week after so I'm very excited about that. It will be over 6months since we've seen them.
Anyone know whats good for constipation, the formula Charlie is on seems to be the worst for this & the poor little man is struggling. I always wondered how I'd know if he was, but its very obvious I feel very sorry for him
Hey Erin,
I read somewhere on here that cooled boiled water and brown sugar is good, if you want to go natural (not sure on how much brown sugar tho). Otherwise there is coloxyl which is available at the chemist... if there is one near you! Where abouts are you, if you dont mind me asking?
Cheers
Melissa
We recently moved from SA to WA. We live in Newman a mining town 500k South of Port Headland. We are 450k from the nearest town!!! sometimes that's a little frustrating - but ebay has become my best friend.
There are a lot of people here & the town is very well structured & there's lots to do with babies as there are heaps here so I can't complain. I just miss my family, especially my Mum, and especially when I have a bad day with Charlie.
We head to perth in 4weeks for DH work & I will be hitting the shops, can't wait!!!
I had heard about the brown sugar, but same as you I'm not sure how much.
Thanks Caro I'll go check with the chemist.
We're home! Had a great day today...got a sleep in - Dylan fed at 8.30pm and then not again until 5am! Then he slept with me until 9am!! I got tonnes of sleep! Then we just chilled out...looked at a block of land up there (we're hoping to move in the next couple of years or so) which was just gorgeous. 8 acres with some bush and a little creek. Perfect for the kids to have fun on and eventually get motorbikes and have animals!
Erin - Sounds like you've got some great plans for when your PIL come over. Wow at such a big move! Makes ours not seem so big! hehe. Our move is only 1 1/2 away from where we are now! hehe. Not sure about constipation - just water I think...
