Thanks for the sleep advice girls. I have tried to be more watchful of Lily today to catch her in the first stages of tiredness...it seems to have worked, she had four sleeps today, only 30-40 mins each, but better than nothing. I also have been putting her down in her cradle half awake and letting her go to sleep herself. Not at night though, I have already resettled her once tonight...oh well one thing at a time!! Hehehehe I'm so impatient. I only give Lil a dummy at sleep times too and she spits it out when she settles and I take it away. She's not too attached to it anyway I could probably not give it to her, but I want her to have a sort of sleepy time routine...
Kristie, that's true that it took 9mths to get like this.....although I have put on a bit of weight (only about 2kg's, though I'm overweight anyway ) since having Lily, probably cause I'm not on my feet and running around after 20 2-5yr olds all day. I went for a walk for an hour today though which was lovely since it was a beautiful day here today.
Melissa, I do the same thing as you. What ever Lily wants she gets! I try to take her ques as they come. Though I do miss them sometimes and end up with one cranky pants bubba! I have found that she's got herself into a loose routine anyway, things seem to happen around the same time of day.
For the cradle cap, maybe try olive oil.I have heard that Baby oil actually has alot of chemicals in it. I use olive oil (for your body from the chemist) on Lil's skin every day
Jensam, hello! Glad to hear that your perserverance with bf is going ok. It's not fair that it can be so hard for some people. I am still trying too. My problem isn't that she fights it, I just can't build up a big enough supply to do it exclusively. Lily loves her boobytime and sometimes won't take a bottle, only booby. I have to try to trick her by giving her the breast then slip the bottle in, LOL!
I hope your work negotiations go well. Maybe look into getting a nanny for childcare? I imagine the cost of child care out in Newtown is quite alot, maybe it would be just about the same for you with a nanny, as well as it being (in my opinion) better for Beau at such a young age. Though in saying that I will have to use child care myself in the coming months! Only to work in a childcare centre myself. And I can't take Lily to my own centre due to 'conflict of interests' policies my workplace has. It really sucks!
I know what you mean about loving them more every day...I'm sooo in love too
Well that's it, looks like Lily is down for the night...must go have a shower and go to bed- make the most of it!
