Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes for Alister! He had a great day. We had to go to Wagga that day, so I brought a few extra things for his birthday LOL - They have all the 'in the night garden' merchandise out now and I brought him a small Ninky Nonk train and a Leap Frog barnyard thing where you put the animal halves in to make a match and they make aminal noises and sing songs. He LOVES his tractor - it was funny when he was unwrapping it and the older kids were trying to help him and he kept pushing their hands away LOL. (Cally I didn't end up getting the Radio Flyer wagon as it was proving to be a nightmare to get one and with the dollar dropping they were getting dearer too as they are all imported into Aus). Anyway it was a very big day emotionally for me - no more first birthdays for us . And he's just growing so fast that every little thing he does is so special. I'm so lucky to have him.

Oh, and the sleeping has gone to crap again too LOL. As bad as it was before, but last night was great - only one wakeup when DH's alarm went off at 4am for work, but I put his dummy in and he went right back to sleep. I'm hoping that signalled the end of the bad sleeping. And last night we had a two word sentence!!!! I was in the shower with him and we were just finished and DH came in to get him from me to get him dressed and he said "hewo Dadda" Like Elmer Fudd would say hello, it was amazing, we both looked at each other and said 'did he just say what I think he said?"

Rainy, glad the pics turned out well, can't wait to see them

Trill, that is so clever of A to say hello daddy! Glad he had a happy birthday, must be so sad knowing he is your last.

Pregpan, I have been stalking the TTC thread for the last couple of months but haven't actually posted. I see Ella is in there too. I am on my third cycle TTC but it just isn't working - I don't ovulate until cd24-28 and then I get af 5-6 days later. It is very frustrating. Hope you have better luck than me.

We had a fantastic day out on the boat today. William loves it, I am amazed that he can keep his balance to walk around while the boat is on the water. We parked at a little beach and DH buried W's legs in the sand - he thought it was fantastic, kept scooping up more sand to cover himself.

Arte - have you thought about trying chinese medicine (herbs, acupuncture)? as you know i ama big advocate of it, used for labour (and v happy with that outcome) and now using to get cycles under control and help with ttc. i dont think 3 cycles is much (it took me 12 months to get preg w noah) so def nothing to worry about but if you are impatient like me and want to do something proactive maybe that is something to think about? I wasnt going to post in the ttc threads, i guess the secret is well and trule out now LOL!!! i just got too excited about it all... in fact we werent even meant to be officially trying this mnth but then DH and I both got really excited about the prospects so we are!!! i am of course thinking it will take a long time again, but just like last time evennow i am excited and nervous and hopeful. i am not really looking fwd to the emotional rollercoaster!! V exciting ella is in there too - i was missing her!
Will sounds so clever... sometimes i hear about all the tough boys in here and i wonder if N is behind.. he is still commando crawling!!!!
Rainy - cant wait to see the piccies of your gorgeous man. we really need to get professional ones of N done, yes i have been meaning to do that since he was born (oh and belly shots which i never did - though that was bc i felt a lot less glam than i was hoping)

Pregpan, I have thought about some herbal treatments, but it will have to wait until next time I am near a city - we live in the sticks and would be lucky to see a chinese person let alone a chinese doctor lol. I don't think N is behind, we just went to the first birthday party of a commando crawling 1 year old and N can do lots of other things that W can't. I know three cycles isn't that long, just that I had planned to have them close together and now they will already be further apart than I wanted so each month just stretches it out more IYKWIM

yeah i know that N isnt behind and they just do things at diff paces - i guess it just makes me wonder when everyone asks 'is he walking' when he is actually barely crawling (he doesnt go big distances yet either)!!! i know it will all even out over time so not REALLY worried IYKWIM just a thought at the back of my mind.
N had a weird night, he was great til midnight when he woke up for over 2 hrs.... i tried putting him in bed with me (which i usually do when DH away) bt that woke him up more. was hoping for more of a sleep in from such a broken nights sleep but no siree!!
we are off to a thai food and culture festival later - YUMMO!

Arte, you sound like you have luetal phase issues, so you may need to see a gyno if you can't do the herbal route. How cute of Will in the sand.

G, I would LOVE to see pics of L when you have them. Will you post them on here in the gallery or in FB?

Pregpan, I haven't had proper pics done of A yet either and I had them done for the other 3 well before they were 12mth old. I would like to get some done of all of them closer to Christmas. I never got a pg one done till I was having Paige LOL. have fun at the festival!

I have been trying to get A to say 'hewo' again and not once has he said it LOL. HIs sleeping last night was better as well. With all the talk of cycles and TTC though, mine has gone wonky again and I started spotting last night on CD32 and full flow today on CD33 - I haven't had a cycle that short in years. Normally I am a 34-36 day girl. No cramps at all either which is really strange, so I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing and it will kill me in a day or two. All I can say is thank god I'm NOT TTCing LOL.

Bit jealous of you TTC girls, however I'm not quite ready to go there yet (let alone persuade DH!) Fingers crossed for everyone!

We took DD down to the beach yesterday to play in the sand. She wanted to go swimming, kept pointing and walking down to the water. It was freezing but she didn't flinch at all when it went on her feet. We took her to a creek at the end of the beach which was a bit more sheltered and warmer. She kept wanting to go deeper and sit in it, she was kicking her legs while standing and splashing with her hands. Unfortunately, we hadn't taken her swim nappy or a change of clothes - she ended up travelling home with a towel we'd taken to wipe her feet down around her bottom and not a stitch on! She had a ball though, later in the day she was banging on the front door so we walked down the driveway and when I wouldn't let her keep going, she had the most full on tantrum ever.

Trill - how cute, hello daddy! Hope he says it again soon.

PP - have fun at the festival, I love Thai food!

When is MM back, was she only going for a week?

Mum's coming down today to look after K - she's going to do a lamb roast tonight, I'm so looking forward to that, we haven't had one in ages!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Cally, we got caught with no extra clothes at the lake too - W had to go home with no pants on. Haha, now she will forever be banging on the door wanting to go out lol Yum on the lamb roast, I love them but can't seem to ever cook a good roast.

Trill, I thought my problem sounds like a luetal phase problem, I think that Vitex might be a help but I can't swallow pills very easily. I think it is only because of the breastfeeding but W wants to feed constantly at the moment. LOL, there aren't any gyno's here in nowhereville either, would have to go to a city for that too. Bugger that you can't get A to say hello again. In the past couple of days W has said about 6 different words that seem to be a once off - so that I am doubting if I heard them at all but it was so clear and in context each time.

Jack has knocked us off our feet.

I was sitting on the futon the other nite, he climbed up with me.
On Friday we were at macca's in the play area & he climbed the stairs (no one had ever showed him how to) then after a bit went down the slide, on his own will.
So I put him back at the bottom of the stairs, up & down without hesitation.
Today he climbs from the dining chair onto the dining table & then up the back of the futon onto the dining table.
I have a huge step (like the equivilant height of two steps) into my room, he's also managed to get down it on his own, no injuries.

I keep forgetting his b'day is only a few days away. I keep thinking its a week later than it actually is Silly me.

His molar is moving thro even more making him really restless at nights, even sleeping with me. In the last four nites he's only had one good nite sleep where he slept the whole way thro (unfort I didn't as I woke to a newborn crying!)

    Wow Andie...good going Jack!

Sounds like a lot of you are thinking of TTC,are TTC or up the duff at the moment. Well those of you who aren't finished creating humans
We've been talking about it and DH has been harping on it since Sarah was 1 day old. I like the thought of them close together but am unsure how I'm going to deal with 2 babies. If I felt like I coped better with S then maybe I wouldn't hesitate but I still feel like I'm a novice. I also want to go back to Fiji next Sept so am thinking if I wait 6-9 months then I can be newly pregnant if anything. Not too sure if I want to be tied to a newborn over in Fiji...I love snorkelling too much and it's a bit hard to bf underwater.

S slept better last night and so did I. I actually fell asleep within 30mins instead of my usual 2 hours.
And we went to the beach this morning and she had heaps of fun playing in the sand and water. And loved watching all the other kids playing around her. Tired her out tho which was good, she slept for 2 hours this arvo (normally 30-40 mins) might have to take her to the beach daily.

    Hope everyone else is well...
