Morning lovelies!!
We had a great night here last night, DD slept from 11 til 5am and the Bear got up to give her the first bottle!!!! I feel so fresh it's just great. Already up and showered and having breakfast.

Leash - seriously - is that her thinking??? Ummmm... being at home with a baby is working!!!!! I think I would KILL craig if he came home saying that kind of *****... I usually make him sit down and take a rest, because otherwise he is in the kitchen with me saying "ok, what can i do to help you".... Want me to send him around to teach her a few things? ;) LOL Oh and i soooo get you on the weather!! We have that same cloud above us at the moment - and I refuse to dry my nappies in the dryer (takes sooo long) so I have them in front of the door at the moment enjoying that nice wind!!! That'll do the trick ;) I must need to buy more nappies cos i've run out - again - for her!!!

Pixie - yayyy for good nights sleep. Wasn't sooo good here - but won't go into it, its too depressing.. LOL

MT - yup I agree with that 6 week thing - DD just went through it (must be a late bloomer or sumpthin..)

kiwigirl - One of DH's friends was BORN with teeth - he was like a 14 pound baby or something.. (makes ya wanna cross ya legs and wince huh...)

not much going on here. DS is at day care. I've cleaned the toilet, hand basin and scrubbed the shower, washed up, done the bottles, now about to get back into it - its my only day to clean this week - meeting up with some cloth BB mums tomorrow - Squidipa, Kel and Leash - you guys are welcome to come too ?? Its at redcliffe - Leash i can give you a lift if you want?

Oooh and on the diet front (4 days in and going well) - 2kg loss so far... I freakin love my diet... its the best.. (strict yes.. but the weight just drops off ya!!!) ;)

I hope you all got a refreshing nights sleep!

Quick one today - got a busy one, meeting some friends for lunch, joining a gym, going to the library, shopping.... the list goes on!

Must be the day for washing! My nappies are hanging on the airer outside, but unlike you poor QLD girls, it is bright and sunny here today!

Jett is being a bit of a fusspot this morning, not sure why, although I woke up this morning and my boobs were still soft which is very unusual for me. I've fed him 3 times this morning and he seems happy enough, but I just hope my plentiful supply hasn't just decided to stop!! I was reading in Baby Love this morning that around 6-8 weeks your boobs do change shape, get softer and don't have that full feeling anymore as the milk supply settles down. Maybe that is what is happening here?

hehehe MUST be the day for it!! I have 2 loads of washing on the line, in the sun - at 7am it looked doubtful as to whether the sun would actually shine or not, but I hung it out anyway and the sun came to the party!! ;)

Veygas is being really antsy today - I am trying to get him to have a sleep (he'll only go for 5-10mins at a time :( ) and he is just being generally whingey ... not screaming the house down (TFFT!!) but just whinging here and there and I have tried to settle him 3 times already ... but now it's gonna be time for him to feed again soon (although he's been doing that every hour this morning!) :rolleyes: so I haven't really got much else done. For some reason, I am really tired and irritable today too, it's like it's left over from yesterday (when I snapped at DP that I wish he didn't come home to sleep! :redface: )

Got DD home from preschool today too, she woke up with a barking cough (as did DS2, but he doesn't need to be anywhere!)

Leash - from what I am reading, it's OK (in Shel's book) to be like HER family, but not like yours! Hello, this is the 21st century, we all have to work that little bit harder to make things work (not like it's the 1950's!! LOL!)

Has anyone else noticed how it's a lot harder for the "grandparents" of today to retire? I remember when I was a kid, my grandparents were always home (I think my grandfather retired at like 50, and my nanna never worked outside the house!) My DS1 got really upset last week, cause they had a "grandfriends day" and he reckons he was the only one who didn't have anyone there ... but both mine and DP's parents still work, and couldn't just take the day off, plus they both live 2+ hours away ... (I couldn't handle them living any closer anyway!)

DP has been looking around our area at the cost of buying a house (we are currently renting),and I have been comparing that with Stanthorpe! hehehehe He has now conceded that Stanthorpe is looking like a winner!!! YAY!!!! And being a truckie, he can get work just about anywhere!!

Ok, my whinge - my IL's don't (or won't) believe anything we say ... we have a deaf cat (he's white with beautiful blue eyes) and we have told them HEAPS that he is deaf! The other day, MIL says "is it true that when a cat has blue eyes that it's deaf?" A friend had told her, and now she chooses to believe it (after our THREE YEARS of telling her!) And they want to move from where they are - they said one or 2 bedrooms. When we looked at various properties on the internet and found some cheap 3 bedroom places, they said "we don't want 3, what will we do with the 3rd room?" Um, put bunks in there so the kids might be able to stay over???? hmmmmmm now there's an idea! But no, they are even more determined to go a one bedder now! Oh well, no kiddies staying over for them!! hhehehe ... whinge complete!

MM - my mum is the only parent still working - my MIL hasn't worked since she had the kids - yes so thats like 38 years ago!! LOL.. except for some seasons of picking strawberries of course - and my FIL has severe arthritis so hasn't worked for about 10 years (which drives him nuts being in pain and bored *****less all day) and my dad retired from the police force a few years ago - but is in Tassie - so hasn't met any of my kids yet!!! (Probably never will.. don't exactly have the best relationship!!)

Having a GREAT day today - just got her down for another nap (she slept 4 hours just before she woke up for a feed) and i mopped the floors so they are sparkling!!!!

Hmmm.. what to do next... bottles... cat litter.. or organise DH's side of the wardrobe.. decisions, decisions...

We are still having a crap day - V was ok lying in his rocker and even dozed off for about half an hour til DS2 decided to chuck a tanty!! At least I managed to inhale some lunch!! ;) But now he is velcro baby again. Oh well I guess I can start getting him ready for bed in another hour or so!! :rolleyes:

Eli is 7 weeks tomorrow, was 6.96kg today so he's still putting on about 400g a week! He's got a little gunky eye again so is back on drops.

I have a tin of formula in the cupboard that I bought at about 37 weeks pregnant, I freaked out that what if I couldn't breastfeed her one night and it was 1am, I didn't want to have her starve or scream so I bought it (in the hopes of never using it).

thats how i feel they go all soft and eh gets restless son and off and up and down. Its horrible and frustrating for me and him. As for partners well i say while hubbie is working i am working in the house with kids and what not when he is home i am still working so so should he help. But i am lucky as my hubbie does do heaps.

yeah josh does that like he is so enjoying it at times its so funny and comforting too. May i ask how much your paying for lessons? Wish they wernt to expensive so hubbie could get some.

Now all about me hahahaha well maybe not ALL about me... Josh had his usual well what has been usual sleep from 9.30 till 3ish. Was great having him sleep more chatting time with my meet up with kel.

kel thanks for coming round your daughters are so cute. Alegra is such a god weight and her hair as i said just wonderful. I want you drumsticks!!!! i am SOOO envious. The kids had loads of fun with cadence too. bailey was all stressed and concerned as she left her drawing here hehe. Good point about me actually doing things. I should really take a moment to reflect on that and appreciate all i have been doing and getting done compared to when i was unable to. I am so envious of your 400gram a week is that all BREAST i would fall over back wards for a gain like that thats incredible how many feeds a day and how long each feet tips tips tips hehehehe.

Squidipa, its $50 for a single a lesson, but because I'm under 25 I have to do that 100 hours thing, and 10 driving hours make 30 hours in the book, so they offer a package usually about $420-$460 depending on where you go, for 10 hours, so I'm gonna book one of them cos for me it works out cheaper. So bl00dy expensive!!!!!! Though I know why, insurance, fuel maintenace, STRESS :chair: I should be paying extra, driving with me is like your worst nightmare!

(Shel let me drive her car once, I scratched it on a tree - stupid tree shouldn't have been hanging into my park space anyway - plus scratched her $600 mags parking to close to the curb. i honestly thought she would drive off on me, she was crying!).

hehe driving can be so scary to start with i till remember every detail. My EX husband and instructor teamed up and basically i was dragged outa bed and forced to drive. When i DID NOT want my license. Truth is now i am so happy and grateful i got it then cause i don't think i would try for it now hehe. I would some times have to take the baby and put the cars eat and and the instructor would have her arm in the back feeding her a bottle. My sister is the worst driver i have NEVER and would NEVER get in a car with her she cat even get the car out of the drive way with out hitting something or diving over LARGE bushes. She just laughs it off and me im like the landlord is gonna kill me thats a 100 year old rose bush!!!:rolleyes:

My brother's are same tooo. They get my mom on the back of the off road bike and take her up the shops and they are hurting it along the tracks ducking and diving and getting air on jumps mom's screaming hehehe but hey it cant be to bad she gets back on it with her bread and milk hey Plus a few aged years and tree scratches :cryinglaugh:

MM - I am so glad I'm not the only one this is happening to. I cant seem to get Kye into the deeper sleep during the day, he just naps. Tend to always wakes himself up after 10-15 minutes. Is this normal? I started a thread to see what others have to say as I was becoming a bit frustrated. Just me being an over-paranoid first time mum I guess :lol:

The past two nights he has slept from 9pm till 2am which I am so thankful for. I am hoping he is establishing that as his 'usual' routine. Now just have to work on the 2am till 4am block, try and get that a little longer hehe

Kiwigirl - I took Kye to the nurse yesterday. He weighed 6290 grams and is now 59.5 cm long. Has grown 3cm's in two weeks :) Last friday when we had the appointment with the Paed he was 5630 grams PMSL .... he is stacking it on too! I asked the nurse if his gains were too much and she said its nothing to worry about. Her words were "he's a big boy" LOL

Anyways must check on the man and see if he is still asleep, this has got to be a record!

hehehe I learned to drive on a couple of inner city Sydney's busiest roads in peak hour traffic! I nearly ***** myself everytime I got into the instructor's car!! :cryinglaugh: PLUS, he was a typical chauvanistic male ... he told me not to be upset if I didn't get my license first go, cause hardly anyone does and he didn't think I was good enough to be going for my driving test. As it turns out, I had Sydney's harshest examiner at the time (which made my instructor pre-book me 5 more lessons before my test!) and I got it first go! :dance:

DP actually said to me the other day how proud he was that I hadn't scratched the rims of the prado, or even rubbed the tyres against the gutters! Doesn't matter that we've been driving the same amount of time (but he's a professional driver, so has millions more hours up on me!! :p) But I love driving - I even taught my ex how to drive (about 14 years ago!) and the only accidents I have been involved in have been caused by the other driver!

Sasha - I don't think there's such a thing as being over paranoid! Even though Veygas is #4, I still get frustrated and concerned and worried - I think it's just a mummy thing!! :hug:

Squidipa - my mum is the worst driver in the world (although DP would say his dad is!!) - she'll pull out onto a street when there is clearly other traffic on the road and then abuse the other cars for "coming out of nowhere" and "speeding" :rolleyes: We just don't let the kids in the car with either my mum or his dad!

I have been MIA for the last couple fo days, flat out working! Got a good 9 hour day yesterday, drawings sent off to the clint about 12:15am this morning :cryinglaugh:

Nakita has been a gem, we had Prem Playgroup yesterday where they discussed immunizations, we had a lovely time and have organised to meet up during the holidays, next wee at the Adelaide Botnical gardens, hope we get good weather, it is 29 here today, so I am getting a heap of washing done.

I have been sorting out Nakita's clothes, packed away most of the 00000 Long Suits I think we have one that still fits her. Then going through the 0000 also washed and possibly rewashed the 000 that I think she will fit into next - who knows when that will be!! But I hope it is quicker than the 3 months it has taken her to get out of most the 00000!

This afternoon we have our Getting to Know your Baby session (2nd week of 6), ran into one of the other mums yesterday and had a lovely chat :) We are hoping to continue the meetings after the 6 weeks are over.

I am hoping that the Aktavite is maybe having some impact on my milk as I didn't have to to Nakita up as much today, only 40ml :dance:

Also I am waiting in anticipation of the arrival of a friends bub in Canada, she was fighting preterm labour for weeks, and she has now gone over and I think they are looking to induce her!!!

Big :hug: Leasha for Shell being a PITA, and good luck with booking your driving lessons, hope they all go smoothly. When I got mine it was easy, L's at 16, 6 months of learning the day I was 16.5 went to the local cop, went for a 10min drive, turned left, right, hill start, reverse rank and angle park and I had my licence...... Gosh it was so easy back then!!

Well the only difference with Allegra now to when I was pregnant is she breaths air not amniotic fluid and she wears clothes, She has been attatched to me for the past 4 days or so. I have been carrying her around in one of those carry things (not the sling) my back hurts like it did when I was pregnant I can't put her down or she cracks up. I hope this means she'll be a mummies girl :pray:

Squidipa- I took your idea of the chart for Cadence and it works :dance: she loves the idea that she gets rewarded for doing things. I've also taken a photo of her trashed room and a photo after it was cleaned and I will stick them on her door and teach her that trashed is naughty and clean is good the photos will allow her to see the difference and it will probably be easier for her to understand the difference between clean and messy (hopefully)

I am buggered today, i re arranged DD's room and put her partion up its a bratz one its been boxed since may yeah i know crazy hey. I am slowly unpacking thing. My milk is dodgie this arvo nothing new it just seems to be the routine and josh gets cranky i feel bad for him. I re arranged the boys room to try to prevent the 3 year old climbing up on the bunk so put together another bed especially for him in there as we had a spare and made the bunk into a high bed without a ladder. so tomorrow gotta get some tubs to put some gear in and re arrange the cupboards to.
anyhow i am tiered and need to do our usual check of all locks and what not.

Beema my goal is 9 weeks small goals as each day its hard.
Made pasta and broccoli for tea very quick and filling :) NITE every one sorry no time for real personals i am tiered!

We thought we would see how long N goes down for, last night she was fed wraped in bed by 7, sleep by 7.10 and woke at 2am, so not bad, 7 hours straight, I think I will try a dream feed at 10 or something tonight to see if that makes a difference.

Yay for the sleeping babies!!!


I got pooed on for the first time today! Jett had finished his feed and I had him on my lap facing me playing, when he let two sloppy wet 'farts' go, one which I swear went for about 15 secs!!! I thought it felt a bit warm and when I lifted him off my lap there was poo all over me!! It had blasted out the leg holes with all that force!!! H was just wearing his nappy cos it was really warm here today. I was at a friends house too so no change of clothes for me!

ok, I'm off to bed, just finished expressing!

Yay Sasha thats great - woohoo!!!!

MT - don't you HATE that!!!! We were at the beach yesterday, and while we didnt' have an explosion - DS went into the water with his itti bitti on.. I nearly cried... it was so full of salt water and sand... boohoo!!!!

MM - ok... you can move up this way then.. LOL

Kel, Leasha - are you guys coming to Pioneer Park anytime soon? I do need to get out of the house I think....

We *think* that DD may have the measles... she has some of the symptoms - and I googled it last night and the rash looked the same on the net as the one on her face :( Rang the after hours doc - and they didn't show up - even though they called us at 3.30 and said that they were going to come over.. pffft.. typical...

But - she had her last feed at 7.30pm - and then woke up around 3ish... I was so exhausted I shoved the dummy in her mouth - and she woke up at 5am!!!! woohoo!!!! I feel quite good this morning (even though didn't get to bed till late cos one of the dogs had a paralysis tick and had to go to the doggy ER last night - and is still there.. )

Wow i think its great all these babies are sleeping, we got josh down for good just before 9 last night and up at 5am woohooo. altho his 3.30 period is his stropy time.

he is asleep in his swing right now. Should be a nice day got washing and abit of tiding might do our room or hubbie will and then pool then go get take out for tea :)

Oh Mel! You sound like you had one hell of a night! Poor M, where would she have got the measles from? Poor thing - I can't believe the doc didn't turn up after saying they would. Especially for such a young baby, what if it was more serious?

And then having to take your poor doggy to ER for a tick. Sounds nasty, we are lucky we don't have them down here but I know I would be distraught if any of my pets ended up with them. Get well soon doggy!

And itti bittis in the salty water! I hope it washes up alright. Although I can't imagine the sand will be easy to get out.

It was one of our itti bittis that Jett did his explodey poo in. It matched his outfit and everything and I had only just put it on... so disappointing - he had to put on a sposie after that!

Hope you're all having a great weekend. We are having a good one - party last night, DD was well behaved and then slept from midnight till 6 am! woohoo! even better because yesterday she was starving and feeding every two hours. My BB's have gone soft and I'm wondering if the left one is producing much cause she thrashes on that one something terrible. Do you think expressing from that side between feeds will help build it up?
Today I went for a big (10k) walk with the PILs and DD in the pram. it was really good and I realised it's not too far to walk to the outlet centre at Birkenhead point - so shopping for me next week I think! :dance:

MT - my kids always seem to do their ***** in the itti bittis.... I haven't had an explosion though - I put them on REALLY tight though.. lol... and we are probably taking DD to the docs tomorrow - not much you can do about it anyway.... so it can wait till tomorrow...

Mel - sounds like you had a yucky night! :( Poor M and poor doggy :( One of my cats has a habit of getting tapeworm, but she is always catching and eating field mice (even with a lame foot!! LOL!) and I think that's where she gets it from, cause none of the others do that, and it can't be from fleas! We have 5 cats total and DD "really wants a puppy right now" she informed me last night! :p

Yay for all the mummies and bubs having good night sleeps!! :dance:

Pixie - I'm with Mel, I reckon expressing between feeds will increase your milk supply!

As for the poo, Veygas has a tendency to poo right after I take his nappy off!! Hopefully this is an indication that he will TT early!! :crossfingers:

Oh man:o that would kill my knee's right now, altho i did get in the pool today with DS and hubbie and we played ball so was a bit active prolly done me some good altho i feel it now with my legs.

I uploaded a couple more pics of josh today of him in his swing when we were chillin in the pool today! Also the lady next door gave us some baby clothes so thats great hey oh yeah was gonna take pic fo my ring hang on ill go do that now!! o.k done not the best pic but it will do give ya an idea of my new ruby ring!

Congrats about your ring- I think I was distracted too cos i didn't congratulate you !!!

And no, got no diagnosis yet. Hopefully will get a chance to take her to the doc tomorrow - hard with only one car though.

Dog is still in the doggy hospital - hopefully we get to pick him up tomorrow - the latest update this afternoon was that he still couldn't get up.. :(

Gudism so do you know its a tick??? i mean that your dog has one? sounds scary are you worried?

Squidipa - yeah DH pulled the tick out of him last night - nice big adult engorged one.. nice!! Hopefully he will be right to be picked up from the ER tomorrow morning..

Gudism....did it paralyze the dog or some thing forgive my stupidity but i don't have a dog and havnt really had one growing up either

Squidipa - he can't move his back legs properly - like he's all wobbly - but is expected to make a full recovery... fingers crossed!!!!

Yep, the other thing I have been doing is actually starting N on the "crappy" side first, two feeds in a row, then the other side for one feed and back to the double again, have found the my RHS is actually improving. Also drinking a lot of Aktavite!!! :lactivist:

I did the dream feed last night, :bfeedpink: fed and in bed by 7:30, left friends house about 10:30, N slept, got home got everything sorted out she was still sleeping, hooked her on my boob and she fed, then the other side, plus a top up of formula, small burp and back to bed, she woke at 2:30am gave her the dummie, back to sleep, then woke at 4:30am for a feed. So going to try it again tonight, about 10pm, then I will go to sleep myself!

Feeling really sleepy, been a long day. Went to the markets this morning got lots of tasty vegies, won a couple of auctions on ebay, 2 Pumpkin Patch suits for 99c plus postage and a Bebe suit for summer, won a few other things which will get us through summer I think.... will jsut have to judge who quickly little miss is going to grow!
This arvo MIL took N for a walk, so I got some work and invoicing done, she also did the ironing ( not a lot to be done, but was lovely), she also put together a leek and potato soup, and left to simmer before heading back to the country. I finished if off after putting N down at 7:30, then cooked up some scotch fillet and vegies with a Dianne sauce for DH, and a chicken and vegetable mornay for me, mostly to have for lunches with the soup this week. Just gotta empty the dishwasher, and refill, wipe the other dishes, a couple of changes to my invoices and send them off - yay money!! And it is great that all the jobs are up to date especially as I am off to work again tomorrow, I have to decide what to take for N to sleep in the pram or rocker... hard decision!!

Have a great night, looking forward to hitting my pillow, just have to sort this dishes and work out how to store the massive bowl of soup I have!!

its nice not an eternity ring tho hehe i got a limited edition custom made diamond cluster ring worth a couple of grand for our 1 year anniversary this year a ruby diamond ring. If we had a girl we were going to name her "ruby rose". So a ruby ring is nice has meaning. The eternity ring is still to come haha :ROFL:

We are in talks of more kids yes u read right having more kids:lol:.

2 considering factors of more kids

1, can my body handle it. can i have more c sections..BTW i don't feel 9 months is enough to say no to forever.

2, How much harder will it be finding rental properties heaps harder wish we had enough cash to buy a home out right! ya got to think about these ting ya need a roof ova ya head.

As for money well we wont get any more but i know i could make it work i am very good with our money. The laughs and giggles jokes and unique humorous talents of all the kids are so wonderful i love it i couldnt ever imagine really not having the kids live with us i would feel alone.

other points i am, considering is this

am i wanting more kids only because my body is like a 50 year old and i am nearly all tick tocked out? I don't want regrets. Before having this knowledge at age 21 i had always dreampt of bigger is better as many kids as i could have is what i wanted, at least 5. hopeing on round 8 or more. Maybe ill go through menopause this year i don't know that scares me it blinkin scares the crapper out of me one day it will all be slowly being taken away ill, have no choice or control.

I also think wait till josh hits all his mile stone markers before deciding just encase of anything. I don't even know if he is slightly deaf or not at all or completely deaf yet! I dunno why but i am so protectively concerned over his well being and mile stones.

oh and these 12 kilo have gotta go first! only 9 of pregnancy weight tho.

Good morning all! I hope you all had a great weekend. I didn't get nearly enough sleep, and it wasn't even Jett's fault. So today I am planning on doing nothing! Just veging out!

Vic - DH was going to give me an eternity ring when Jett was born too.... hmmm.... still waiting! Maybe for our 3rd year anniversary in Nov??? Glad to hear that you BF woes are clearing up too.

Arimeh - My IB nappy was on as tight as we can get them, but I just think the force of the blast was just too strong! Also being a fairly new nappy I don't think it could absorb anything quick enough. I hope your doggy (does doggy have a name?) is feeling better now and I hope your DD is too! Let us know how you get on at the docs.

Ok, little man has just woken up crying....I've never seen that before! Better go check on him
