    Hi,

Lea and kell, sounds like our little ones are having the same issues with milk and feeding. Chardonnay fusses and fidgits, wakes easily, will scream in pain when shes sound asleep, seems to want to be upright or on me or in her swing, vomits ages after a feed, gags and vomits, gets a snuffly nose. She brings up her wind easily though so that directs me away from looking at colic and more at LI or reflux. She has a large amount of reflux symptoms, but she can have times where she is settled, so im just not sure. She seems to have improved a little on the LF formula, but still doing the same things. My CHN said to monitor her and we will try and figure out whats going on with her.

Lea- IKWYM about getting used to the numb feeling on AD's, in a way its sort of good to be a bit like that. Well i think so with how anxious and wound up i get. Its a hard situation for me, i seem to react to all AD's with bad side effects but they help me with my anxiety, unfortunately the side effects get so much that i cant stay on them. Like they cause me to get the shakes badly, or affect my mental alertness or sleep. They had me on zoloft just now, tmi but i have had diarrhoea for a month non stop, now ive stopped taking them, the diarrhoea has stopped. They were also causing me to not sleep hardly at all and affecting my mental alertness. I would see/hear things but they wouldnt register for a long time making my reaction time slow. When driving, this is extremely dangerous and i cant put my kids in danger like that. Now i am off them, all these things have settled. I dont know what to do, to do CBT for my OCD i need to be on AD's to be calm enough to challenge my compulsions. Sorry to hear about your DH's back, that sounds painful for him. YAY on the party you are planning, it sounds like lots of fun, gorgeous colours you have picked, i love that green

kell- I am SO pleased to hear you had a good night last night with Liam and that the sickness in your house looks to be shifting, its about time you got a break. Have a good time in Canberra, i hope the kids are good on the trip.

Milly- Thanks for your thoughts, i really appreciate it. YAY on DH finishing his training, thats excellent!!

Look!! I managed to get personals done !! The first time in over a month i think.

    Have a good weekend girls

hello everyone thanks for making me feel welcome
My baby had bad reflux so I was told by my GP to put her on S26 AR , that stopped the spewing but made her badly constipated and was awful to mix up...too thick and she also had trouble burping but after struggling on that for a week a friend told me about novalac AR which we are finding fantastic she burps, poops and can finish a bottle in about 10 minutes instead of the hour it was taking with the other stuff.
sounds like everyone is very busy at the moment
its great to read your posts Ive picked up some great hints
    bye for now

Finished a quilt for Thomas today, floor size its so cute (so a but bigger than cot size). Different after getting so "pink" for the last 4 years....Weird not to have a fairy on it LOL. Will take a photo and put it on FB.

    Hope you are all well,

Belinda - glad to hear that the supply is back and what sounds like in good form too! Growth spurts indeed when Ali had hers she was always feeding and screaming but now she has settled a bit ... by the way we ran into Antoinette's husband today at the hospital and they had a little baby boy ... He is taking 8 weeks off work to help her out and they had him Monday afternoon just after midday I think ... we think Sharon went home yesterday as they had seen her in hospital still so there is only Tanya and Gianni left now !

Well today we had Ali's 6 week check and Im pleased to say she has been given a perfect bill of health with no problems. Now I just need the same clearance at my check tomorrow ... she has been the best little bubba today just looking around when awake and not really screaming or whinging much at all .. maybe the 6 week turnover is around!

Had to laugh though as when he pulled her off the scales she peed on the floor as he was carrying her back to the bed and she did a huge poop right before we took her in .. I was just praying she didnt pee or poop all over him .... but she is now 4.3kg so she had put on 1 kilo in the 6 weeks since she was born so looks very healthy and very long!

Hope everyone having a good day today and had a good night ...

    Mel
Mel - If this is a growth spurt then it's lasting ages. Been about 3 or 4 days now and still going on.. She woke at 3.30am and i fed her this morning and then back to sleep just after 4am but in bed with me. Then woke 7am for a feed. Unlike her to wake at night so I'm assuming it must be a growth spurt so hopefully it'll be finished soon. I'm going to the clinic tomorrow to get her weighed and also because she has been really windy these 3 or 4 days and waking after an hour of sleep and screaming her lungs out so I'm not sure if the is colicy or has reflux. I can't seem to put her down without her screaming in pain. *speak of the devil she is crying*...

... ok so 5 hours later I'm back to finish my post.. hehehe She hasn't settled all day again and just managed to go and pick up her hospital photos and get some groceries. I think I may have found the culprit to her unsettledness!!! I've been eating these rice cakes that I love but they have italian herbs and tomato flavouring. i'm wondering if it's been upsetting her belly as she has been pooing like a trooper all day and last few days and when i think about it I probably started eating them around when she became unsettled.

    hello everyone
I had a beautiful little girl on the 23rd of august 2008 and i already have an 8 year old son but because of the big gap i feel like a first time mum again.
im a bit out of the loop with this online parenting stuff but i think its great, its been so helpful.
hope youz dont mind me jumpin in but it would be great to chat with other parents with the same age babies cause im pretty sure everyone else is sick of my baby talk allready

    Tasha

Hi girls.... I finally found some time to pop in and introduce myself and little Arabella. She was born on 28-08-08 by c.s and weighed 6lb10oz.

Hopefully I can make it in each day and keep up with what's happening with all your little bundles of joy.

I am extremely lucky that Arabella is very placid and I get a decent sleep each night - might I add that I am sleeping so much better with a new baby than what I was when I was pg and suffering with pelvic separation LOL.

    Talk again soon. xx

    Hi girls,

Well, we had an alright weekend, But Lily was really clingy and sooky, and still coughing really abdly. I took her to the dr again and her ears are playing up again too. She's on another course of antibiotics, her third in about 5wks. I'm hoping they do something this time. We have an appointment with an ear specialist but not until november so we have to try to manage it until then.
Liam is going well. He's still hit and miss with sleeping, but is happier to go down into his rocker during the day to sit there, and not be velcro'd to me. He's feeding really well and is smiling and trying to laugh and talk, he makes little squeeks and noises when I chat to him, it's sooo cute! We are still cosleeping and I'm reluctant to stop cause I get more sleep with him in my bed, but the sucky thing is DH won't sleep with us and is on the lounge.
I have my 5-6wk check up soon for Liam, and I should really go to the dr for my check up. I don't remember getting one when I had Lily...
Anyway, gotta go the boy is stirring. I hope everyone is well.
