    hello everyone
hope youz all had a great weekend, ours was very busy...that was good for a change but so unsettling for lucy.
you wouldnt belive my saturday nite...our darling baby decided to sleep from 9pm till 4.30am!!! which is fantastic except i couldnt enjoy it because at 1am my friend turned up on our doorstep after having a massive fight with her husband, the poor luv she so desperatly wants a baby but they have to have ivf and its putting such a strain on their relationship i was happy to be her shoulder to cry on because shes been there for me plenty of times and im glad lucy had a great sleep
daddy was very brave on saturday, took lucy to get her ears done i went in an picked the studs then ran as fast as i could out of the hairdressers and into the nearest shop that sold teddies and bought her the biggest one i could find apparently she let out a little squeal but by the time dh had left the hairdressers she was sound asleep and they havent bothered her since and omg she looks soooo cute
kel, hope you got some sleep last nite, i cant nap during the day either i worry about what else i should be doing while dd sleeps so i end up just laying there.
belinda, yay for the weight gain and good luck with the self settling.
mel, belated happy birthday sounds like you had a great time, i have to wait till the last day of the year for my birthday but we will be in tassie for a holiday so im very excited.
kristi, hows chardonnays skin going? hope its getting better is she still on the soy formula? dont you reakon it stinks?
lea, hope things are getting better with gabs feeding
jjj, hello and welcome you'll love it here
    bye for now

    Hi all,

Mel, yeah, I love that pic, it's the first one I've managed to get of the two of them looking at me! And yep, I've been getting more sleep cause DH has been home (yay!) but he's back to work today so it will be another few sleepless nights. I'm lucky he lets me catch up when he's home though, otherwise I'd go insane with sleep deprivation!
Yay @ Ali sleeping in her cot for the night. I need to try to get Liam into his, but I love sleeping with him and it lets me get more sleep too, which I so need at the moment! He sleeps in it in the day time so thats good, at least he likes it! Wow at her growth spurt too! I need to get Liam weighed and measured, I haven't done it since he was about 3wks old.....naughty mummy!

Tasha, I hope Lucy has settled after your big weekend. Lucky you with Lucy's big sleeps, I hope they have continued for you! LOL@ you running when she got her earings, hehe, I was the same. My DH did Lily's and I went over to the shops to distract myself and so I couldn't hear her!

We have been good. I have caught up on some sleep (yay!) and I feel almost normal again! I also managed to keep the place relatively clean after my energy burst the other day. But now it's trashed again, Lily had a fun morning emptying her toy box everywhere! Anyway, that's it, nothing too exciting going on here today, just a lazy day, the weather is rainy and cool, so home is the best place today!

Kell - glad you have managed to catch up on some sleep and your DH is the best for allowing you to bank sleep time ... its hard to get photos when they are looking at you hey but the benefits of being snap happy is that at least once it will be captured ... I dont think there is a rush to move them in I put Ali in only cause she was doing so well during the day so figured time we had our room back though I do miss having her in our room .... still it is all good I just have to get used to it .... agree with you about the weather definitely best to be at home ....

Tasha - thanks for the belated wishes .... Wow your poor friend hope she is ok but she is lucky to have you there for her at that time when she prob needs it most ... IVF can be such a torment on relationships hey ... Good to hear that Lucy's ear piercing went well and that she wasnt too upset ... you will have to try and post a pic so we can see them !!!

Today just bumming around at home and doing some more work ... some days i wonder why i agreed to it like yesterday i couldnt be bothered doing anything not even cooking dinner and basically veged all afternoon once i did work ... not like me at all and I sent DH out to get dinner .. think he was a bit concerned too that i was so "blegh" but we get days like that ... today i have done my half hjour on the WiiFit so feeling more energetic and didnt sleep in as much as yesterday either so that may have helped ... Ali is doing her first feed between 4 and 4.30am and goes every 4 hours or so like clockwork so gone is the sleeping till 6am but hey it helps me plan my day if I know she is so routine !!!

Hope you all have a good day xoxo

    Hiya girls,

Wow we're so quiet in here! I hope it's cause everyone is doing fun mummy things and not that everyone is stressed!

Mel, we all have lazy days I definately do!!

Well, I am back to being sleep deprived, though not too badly yet, LOL, give me another 2 days by the time DH is off again and I will be feeling it.
I finally managed to catch a smile on the camera from Liam, it's in the gallery if anyone is interested . I weighed him todya too, he's 6.4kg!! And 64cm long. He's just growing sooo fast. I think he might be tall and well built like his daddy!
Ok gotta go DD is demanding my attention.....

    Hi Everyone,

    Long time between posts sorry!

Beth is getting so big! She is almost out of 000s! I just can't believe how quickly she is changing. I look at her now in the Moses basket and she is just so much bigger! Soon we will have to think about an alternative for the basket as it will become a bit too small. We don't want to buy a cot here as we won't be able to take it back to Australia with us so seems like a waste of money. The two options I am considering is putting her in the day bed that has one high side (which I will turn to the outside) or taking out one of the of big drawers from the chest! The drawers are very big, bigger than the Moses basket anyway, so it's not as crazy as it sounds!

Everything is great with DD but not so great with DH. I think he is really struggling with the fact that most of my attention is directed at her. He also has very limited patience with her if she is crying and just passes her to me. She is also refusing bottles with EBM and as he has so little patience he just gives up after about 5-10 mins and hands her to me. We fight a lot. Mostly about stupid little stuff. He is also very stressed about work, the move back to Australia and he really doesn't want to leave Norway, but I seem to be the one copping it. I know i shouldn't take it personally but I can't help it.

Warning the next paragraph could be TMI!

We have also not yet had 'special cuddles'. My libido has never been very high and I am really not that interested, but I know that he is feeling very hurt that I am not keen. I have started on the mini-pill last week, so we are covered contraception wise. I guess I should just get back on the horse, huh?

Anyway enough of my whinging! Sorry for no personals. There was so much to read that it has all blurred into one! Will try harder to keep up and post more often!

Erin, I know how you feel with DH. Mine was very similar when Lily was born. I think it's the whole loss of independance and freedom for men. I mean we're the ones that sacrifice our bodies and minds and our real freedom, they don't do half as much as women do! But it really affects men to be so relied on,kwim? My friends' DH was the same too, we had bubs at the same time and they went through a similar thing, it's such a big shift in your relationship.
Thankfully this time he has been really great and things do settle down once you get into a bit of a routin with all three of you, and you and dh become more of a couple again. That said, you do need to try to make a bit of time for the two of you. DH and I get time in the evenings some days and it's so nice to just be together, not being intimate, though that is nice too, LOL! But just being aware of each other, having snuggles watching tv, eating dinner together and talking, giving a massage, or whatever. Rather than being with bubs all the time and cleaning and feeding and changing....
It does get easier and your relationship does settle again. In time.

    Hiya girls,

How are you all, good I hope!

We are doing well. I am t-i-r-e-d, but I think that's par for the course for the next 6months at least... Liam and Lily are doing well too. Lily is a little monster, nothing new there. Her new trick is to climb up the lounges to get out the sliding door when it's open. She climbs up the back of the lounge and drops down the back, I have the lounges up against the sliding doors when they are open so Lily can't get outside onto the balcony...well I used to do it for that reason! I guess I can't have the doors open anymore We haven't really done anything exciting, just the usual, playgroup, park, shops...yada yada. DH is home now for a few days, yay! Maybe I can have a nap today, I'm sooo tired. Lil is still waking a few times a night. I think her ears are sore again. We go back to the specialist next wk (I think). I don't know that the diet thing has worked, though in saying that she has been talking alot and has picked up alot of new words. So maybe she has improved? We'll find out soon.
Liam is good too, though he's been a bit unsettled at times. Last night and the night before I was awake with him for at least 2hrs through the night. He's waking 3hrly on the dot, with one four hour sleep a night, but usually goes back to sleep when I feed him. He's getting really big now. He's already outgrown the capsule and is pretty desperate for a carseat now, LOL! He looks so squished up in the capsule. We're still feeding really well, I'm so proud of myself for doing it this time after so many problems with DD. He loves his booby and is feeding 2-2 1/2hr in the day.

Milly, I agree with your DH, it's time to have a rest and do things for you!!

LOL, lea thats the law of the world, 'When mummy sits down and relaxes, baby must cry and fuss'! It happens here too almost every time, one or the other will start fussing.

Tasha, that's great that Lucy is growing so well! I love your ticker pic, Lucy is gorgeous!!

Ok well, not much else to say. I hope all of you are well!
