Erin: so glad that your mum is there to help[ out! I say suck it up while you can. Ofcourse you are feeling funny about being a mum to two. You think that everything is going to double but it really doesnt. You will have good days and bad but really thats normal with a new born. Just dont let everyone freak you out how Beth will be. Mine have a ll been fine with a new brother or sister. I think its just the way you welcome them in. I always made a point of saying, its the babys turn now for a cuddle and then used every chance when the baby was having a cry but didnt need me to hug the other kids and say, its Evies turn now. So they hear that the baby has to wait sometimes too!

Nikkie I'm so sorry for your loss
In regards to the tantrums, I'm in the same boat! DD NEVER had tantrums like DS is having, DD actually never really had tantrums at all, I have been very spoilt! OMG DS has meltdowns over the smallest things & it drives me nuts!!! Even in the supermarkets, I'm now that mother that everyone stares at & shakes their head at because my child is the "brat" thats screaming the place down Its very embarrassing & frustrating. I have no words of advice sorry because I have no experience with it but just know that you're not alone..... it looks like we're all suffering it together!

Milly CONGRATS!! So happy for you, your secret is safe with me on FB too

Erin Wow not long now!!! I'm glad your mum is there with you, put your feet up & make the most of it hun

AFM Well I was going to come in & complain about DS's temper tantrums but it seems like it may be quite normal, I just hope it passes soon enough, I cant stand it! Tobias still not talking, only "mumma" "hi" & "bye". XH had the kids this weekend & was supposedto take DS to get his follow up appt for his ears..... I'll make a bet right now that he didnt & I know I'll be right. XH was also supposed to drop in to pick up DD's readers for school so she could do some reading at his house over the weekend, I told him about it Sat morning, I'm a 20 minute drive fromhis place (only 10 mins past his GF's place so he could have come up after visiting her) but he didnt so DD misses out, he's just not interested in the kids, I get so excited watching DD read but he just doesnt care, I dont get it
Well not much new here besides the tantrums

I hope you're all going well xxx

Nikki about the loss. xx Re. Tantrums - Jorja throws MASSIVE ones lately. Age and pushing boundaries i think. She screams, throws herself on the floor, pulls her hair and spits and kicks. I tend to just walk away in a hope that she'll stop because she's not getting the attention she's looking for. Otherwise, we have a naughty chair she sits on until she is finished.

AFM- Jorja still isn't using many words. I think we have mum, dad, shoes, poo yuk, uh oh and bye... does anyone else have more words than this???
ONly 2 weeks until bubba is due so hoping that he/she decides to come soon - i didn't realise how hard being pregnant would be with a little one

Hope everyone is well and little ones are well. I can't believe they will be 2 soon!!!

    Hello lovelies!!!

How are you all today? I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

Well, we had a great weekend. Yesterday we went to Gosford (1 1/2hrs drive away), where they had a show/fair thingy on. It was really good. The kids went on some little rides and ate junk and just had a ball! We then went to see my dad who lives up there too. He adores my kids and had them in hysterics chasing them around and tickling them. I love to watch him with them! THEN we went to sizzlers for dinner on the way home. I ate waaayyyy too much junk and food in general, especially considering I am trying to lose weight (yes again...or still??!!!).
Today I am trying to clean in preparation for moving, doing the bigger stuff like pulling the light fittings down and washing vertical blinds! Such a drag but it has to be done. None of it has been done for at least 3yrs! I used to do it regularly, but since the kids were born, I do the minimum for the place to be clean and clutter free and that's it!!
This is my second week as a SAHM again, and it feels kinda strange knowing that this will be my life for a few years, lol! When I was at home before on mat leave I knew the time would be short and limited. With Lil I had 8mths off and with Liam only 5mths before going back to work. So this time knowing that although the time is limited, it will be a long time before I have to go back to work. I'm going to go down to the library to find out when the kids reading session is on so we have at least one thing to do for the next few weeks, lol! DH is off work for the next few weeks until we move too because they didn't want to roster him on for half a roster and then we move. So he's here to keep us occupied a bit too (and to drive me batty!).
The kids have just gotten over a cold, they have been a bit miserable, very snotty, watery eyes and croaky voiced. And Liam is teething. I checked his mouth this morning (I try not to do it too often, he usually bites me these days, lol!) and he's got one of his 2yr molars coming up. No wonder he's been a little s@#!. And I hear you all on the tantys too. Liam is a master!

Wow you girls who are ready to pop, that time seems to have flown to me!! I'm sure it hasn't for you tho!! LOL. Try not to stress about being a mumma to two. I freaked a bit as well when Liam was born and having Lil. They are only 16mth apart and I was panicking how I would parent two babies. But is was ok. I had tough times don't get me wrong, but now lookign back, I wouldnt change it at all. They are best friends and I love watching them together.

Sunshine, Liam talks a fair bit, but only stuff DH and I can understand really. But he know's what he's saying and says alot, as in he says the same sounds when he wants cartain things, kwim? He says Where, mum, dad, bath, bap (his blankie), more, go out, outside, Bella (my mums dog), Ash (his cousin), no, yeah, drink, stop, don't touch.....clearly enough for other people to understand tho. But he talks all day, he hears Lily talk non stop ALLLLL day (seriously, most days I ask he to stop talking at some stage of the day!!) so he's constantly babbling over the top of her. Drives me batty!! LOL!

Well, I'm should do something practical while the monkeys sleep.....have a marvellous day ladies

    Helllllooooooo......everyone is very quiet here!

Well, I have some very exciting new...I'm pg!! We are expecting #3 in late Jan 2011. So far things are ok, a few fairly mild symptoms, ravenous between about 9am-1pm then no appetite after 5pm (but not really nausia), heartburn (already!!), tiredness, a bit moody and teary. And that's about it, but I am only just pg, about 5ish weeks.
The kids are going well. Liam is getting his molars still and we are having days of terrible temper tantys and sleepless nights. He's also had an infection in his penis, poor little man! He's on antibiotics for it for the first time ever!! The stupid doctor we saw was such an idiot. We had to go to the medical centre because our family doctor wasn't open. My god, I could have done what he did! He didn't even want to look at DS. He was willing to just take me on my word and what I described to him and then send us on our way! I insisted he have a look to be sure. I don't have much faith in the idiot. I do have faith in my mummy instincts though and I know he needed antibiotics, which he got. Then the dr told us to get him circumsised because he's had one infection!!!! I explained that he'd been in a pooey nappy the day before for quite a while (it didn't smell and we didn't know he was dirty!) so I think that's what has caused it. He said we should get him cut anyway...Not that I have anything against it, I just have never seen this stupid doctor, he doesn't know us from a bar of soap, and he is telling me to go and give my son an unneccessary medical procedure based on one minor infection!Bloody moron! Sorry rant over, lol!
Other than that they kids are really good. I'm loving being at home with the all day and can't wait to move (9 days to go!! Woohoo!!!) and get ourselves into a playgroup and swimming lessons and all of that stuff!
Ok I'm going to go and do some stuff because DH has taken the kids to the shops and is giving me a few hours for myself!! I hope everyone is well

    Woohoo kel!

Thats the best news! If only we had timed things better LOL. Ill have to pop into your group and say hello. I am likely to have bubs in December tho! I hope, god every now and then i have this thought of what if i go to 42 weeks, thats 6 weeks longer than Evie. Your symptoms sound just like mine. I am starving ALL day then bamb cooking dinner for the kids and i cant eat a thing! Not feeling that sick just that sea sick sort of a feeling in the background. Nipples kill when i get into the shower i know TMI LOL.

Hope all goes well with the move, so glad that DH work pays for the move and movers, you still will be very tired! Remember you can take months to unpack, LOL its been 6 weeks here and there are still boxes in the garage!

Poor Liam and his little man! Hope the AB do the job. The infection could have been caused by anything. Tom has a love affair with his! Silly Dr to even bring something like that up! I think that there are still some Drs out there that think that people that dont do the snipe are lazy and just forgot to get it done. The medical indecations for the snipe are infection but recurrent and before the age of 1!

Cant wait to hear more about the pregnancy and the move! Take care of yourself!

I know I've already said it but a BIG congrats Kel on the pg!!!
I've wondered if we are getting 2 year molars here too. We have had many sleepless nights, disgusting nappies, red cheeks and temps. Take it as it comes.
Jorja is starting to use a few more words that we can understand which is good.
Other than that, nothing else much happening here. Just waiting for this new bubba to arrive
Hope you are all well. x
