I heard that too Mel - but if Seven went that long it would be a disaster! She squirms around enough after only 4 days, and when she does go, she explodes! God forbid if she stored up a whole months worth! The s*** would really hit the fan then! LOL

Oh, and those pics are ADORABLE Mel! Very cute kids you have there!

I have uploaded a couple more into my gallery too.

    Hi!

Just been reading 5 pages of messages catching up!

Leasha - so sorry about your mastitis Massaging the sore area in the shower helped me but mainly just needed 24 hours of antibiotics to start feeling better *hugs*

squidipa - glad the nipple shields are helping! Give Josh some time and I'm sure all that extra food will be going to good use!

Vic - yay for N's weight gain!

thepixie - glad you had a great trip! Jealous of the hot weather and you going swimming

So we (DH, E and I) made an unexpected trip to Wellington by plane and came back last night. Our friend's almost 3 year old daughter has been fighting cancer and was almost officially in remission but it came back with a vengeance and was given only a few days to live They moved up her 3rd birthday to Saturday and had THE biggest party ever for it. Was much better flying down for her party than for her funeral so we made a quick decision to go. You can read about it here if you want: kyahsjourney The party made the front page of the Sunday paper.

E was FANTASTIC on the plane - slept the entire way down and almost the entire trip up. We hired a car with a carseat and took his bed (a portacot) and stroller with us. I uploaded a pic of us on the plane here

As for the sleeping ~ this is what we have tried
Cooled boiled water??? Dont know whether that would interfere with her reflux?

I always have cooled boiled water in the fridge as a back up if DS is upset and nothing else settles him. Maybe you could give that a try?

sasha when is your next weigh in?
Weigh in day is tomorrow, dunno if I will take him.... I dont really like that nurse

There are some scales in the parents room at Robina Shopping Centre I might take him there and weigh him myself instead - either that or take him to PCG's place and weigh him (she has a set of baby scales) LOL

He has been extremely grizzly this afternoon. I am assuming its a bit of backlash from his shots yesterday. His cry is so awful to listen to.

Leasha now I understand what you went through with Jasmine, almost had me in tears aswell. I hate hearing them cry.

He is finally asleep though in his swing, gave him some panadol about an hour ago so I am hoping that will at least tie him over for a few hours, he needs the rest.
Hasnt had alot of sleep today.

Anyways must go and eat while I have the chance LOL

    Have a good night everyone!

    Woooohoooo

MT and Squidipa - hope you guys are eligible for it, what a relief that will be for you for Xmas!

Oh on another note Kye is STILL asleep in his swing. Has been there since 5pm lmfao.... he just doesnt wanna wake up.

His last feed was at 3:30pm and it wasnt a full one either, I wanna wake him up to feed but dont just in case he gets upset and unsettled again.

    Hmmm what to do

    *update*

Sorry no time for personals, just skimmed through the posts, been a crazy day.

Dad has his heart surgery, went well, best case scenario really Repaired the Heart Valve (Replacement wasn't required), they managed to do the whole procedure as keyhole surgery, it took longer then expected but we managed to keep busy until the Surgeon called. He is in ICU, with a mountain of tubes, needles, cables and other life saving paraphenailia attached to him, but they are hopefull that he will be out of ICU on Thursday.

Ok I must be off I am exhausted and need sleep!! Night xx

    Hi everyone,

Bleh. Had a shocking afternoon, my boob went bright red again, cover almost the whole thing, and my nipple started going blue/black Went back to the dr who doubled the antibiotics. Couldn't feel an abcess which is good but my whole boob is rock hard and doesnt go soft with feeding. Fever back up to 39.6 last night, and back to the drs this morning at 10.30. Feels better though, but the red is still there.

I think we've gonna save *most* of the $1000... Came at the right time as we just had to fork out $500 for the stupid car grrrrrrr. Right when rego is due. I think some will go on Christmas too though... as Shel said last night, it IS her first lol. Even though she wont remember, we will!

Well I start back studying next month. Got my offer this morning. Had to go through QTAC as I want to study externally but can't through my uni, so am now through USQ. Couldnt get an internal transfer which sucks but oh well. I got in to it anyway. Now the question is FT or PT? I guess I farta$$ around on BB so much I could probably do FT, especially while she is so little and sleeps 2-3hours at a time during the day. Would be harder when she gets mobile and is awake more so could go down to PT if I am not coping huh? Hmmm, thanks for helping me make my decision PMSL!

Vic, so glad to hear that your dad had the best result on his surgery. It is so scary, but the technology they have is so amazing isn't it? That they can repair a heart valve through keyhole surgery... He'll be just fine, and out of ICU before you know it!

Shell, hmmm well wasn't on last night to help you make that decision lol but Jazz had a record sleep yesterday evening too! I was able to sit in the bath for half an hour and then eat dinner and then watch TV before we turned off her swing to wake her up. In the end we had to go change her nappy, she was still pretty much asleep so we gave her the EBM bottle and snooze, out like a light. Startled herself at 11pm though, probably hit herself in the head (hehehe, yeah like that smilie! lol), so had to get up to help her settle. Slept through til just after 5. I didn't wake up either, no fever last night (heres hoping I've seen the last of them for now!), so got a good almost 6 hours sleep!
So sorry to hear about Kye's needles. They totally suck, I hope your poor little man is doing better, the crying is the worst We had to give Jazz panadol, I just couldn't let her keep screaming her head off, every time we moved her, her leg would move and she'd scream, plus the fever. Sigh, and we have to do it all again in December...

Rachel... my biggest fear is that something terrible will happen to Jazz like what is happening to your friends DD I am in tears for that poor family, I just can't imagine ever losing her, I am so sad about what they are going through... I hope she isn't in pain. Poor little angel

Leasha i so know where your coming from on your biggest fear i think in the back of hubbies head and even myn we thinking could josiahs weight gain issues be something like this? Obviously we just dont know. Today is the official weekly weigh n and these numbers count big time hope all is good.

I hear ya on redgo myn is blinkin expesive and with hubbie changing daycare centers its sorta like hard at the moment. Gonna have to wait another week to pay it im slowly saving the dollars up. Hubbies at two centers at moment but his hours arnt up as we need them to be.

Good on ya sasha for good sleeping thats great and same with you leasha we all need a brake hey. Sometimes joshie is just so content i end u thinkign its time for feeding and force them on him or he wouldnt eat much at all yesterday was only 4 feeds total time over day was 144 mins give or take a min my log book is not infornt of me. But thats no sleeping on the boob eithor.

3 poop's yesterday thats o made my day just after i prayed too yay.

Hubbie has what i think could be a nerve exposed in his mouth. Went in room last night to find him with his hand on his jaw so offered him some more pain killers.

Weigh in day so wish us luck dunno what i am after i would like 100 grams even tho the weekly goal is 150 and last week we fell 40 grams short of it. But with the weight loss i dunno what i should be expecting. Josh has been more quieter on his cries i think he has a sore throat just because he will have tears but no load cry. And he can YELL!!

Got table to build today about 4 loads at least of washing to fold and about 6 loads to hang out! Dishes to do and boxes to sort out joshies cot still had cupboard food in it in a basket maybe empty a bit more DS has been very much behaving in mornings no putting chairs up playing with foods or in cupboards or playing with water he is being VERY good!! We do tho keep the alarms on tho with nuts in cupboard we have to

Its good news that the op went well VIC

Leash - I studied from when my first was 2 months old, right through the second and third, but have deferred indefinitely atm!! You'll be fine hun, you do eventually get used to it!!

Vic - glad your dad's op went well. Thinking of you and your family!

Sasha - we get FTB A, so yeah, guess we should get this $1k per child - it will come in handy cause we'll have just paid rego too!! lol!

Veygas slept through 10 hours last night (he woke at 4am for a feed after going to bed at 6pm!) so that 3 nights in a row he has had THE BIGGEST sleeps! I don't know whether to be happy or worried!

We got him a swing the other day and it's so cute when he falls asleep in it! I took some pics but haven't uploaded them onto my computer yet!

Have a good one everyone, gotta make dinner cause we start kindy orientation this afternoon!! (can't believe I've almost got 2 at school! DEF have to have more!! )
