Hey, while you're all talking about larger families... I'd love at least 4... I think at the moment Shel and I have really only looked as far forward as two... I came from a larger family, 4 of us, and to me I've always known i wanted heaps, can't stand an empty house, can't wait until our house is full of family noise and chaos! Shel grew up with older siblings, so really she is from a very small family and doesn't quite get my 'empty house' syndrome lol. Ahhhh well, we'll work it out. I think we're planning on fostering once our family is finished. Shel was fostered, by her aunty but fostered no less, and its something important to her, and my bro has foster respite every second fortnight so we both want to be able to contribute in that department.

Had a shocker last night, Jazz woke 11.30pm, 2.30am, and 4am. Geeeez girl whats going on! Got the *****s at 4am and woke Shel up, she didn't do anything more than open her eyes and then roll over not much she could have done, I just wanted her to share my no-sleep pain lol.

Well, the Bear has been saying it for two weeks, and I have maintained my denial until yesterday................
OMG - MY BABY IS GETTING TEETH!
I'm not that happy about it TBH - I didn't want it to happen so soon. But looking into her mouth yesterday you can actually see them under the gum. Damn it.
No time for personals today, got a million and one things to do, so quick wave to all

Pixie - don't lose hope yet - DS started teething at 4 months, and we could see them under his gum quite clearly - but they didn't actually break through until he was 7 months. Of course it was 3 months of hell for us... which has never stopped actually..

Leash - sounds like she's doing the whole growth spurt thing!!!!! We want to be foster parents too - so many kids out there need help and a good environment to grow up in.

6 or 7 kids guys? holy moly.. my limit would be four I think.. and thats if I have twins next time.. lol

Well we were up a couple of times last night with DS - poor thing was moaning and crying out mummyyyy... dadddyyyy... his temp went up again too, so he isn't going to daycare today - yet another insane day for me!!! Luckily my mum is coming around to visit so I can get some stuff done today (I wanted this day free of him so i could do stuff I needed to before starting work next week!!!) Ahhh welll.. thank god he's cute huh.

She slept through till 4am and then it was dummy shoving game until she finally wanted out at 6am.

I added some pics of my poor little sick boy (and also a nappy pic) to my facebook - I'm sure everyone has added me now!!!

    Better go be a mum.

    Morning all!!

Pixie - We think Veygas is getting teeth too, you can see them under the gum and he dribbles enough to ease the water restrictions Australia wide!

Vic - OMG, 4 months already??? Happy 4 months Nakita!!

Mel - does ricyn have vomiting and diarrhoea as well? Kaliah's preschool sent home a note about some virus... hang on I'll just get it ... walk walk walk, look look look
Ok, it's called Rotavirus ... BUT if he's not got the vomiting and diarrhoea with the fever it may not be it ... Don't mean to worry you, just checking, cause they reckon the only way it can be diagnosed is by lab testing of the poo (eeewwwwwww!) for you hun!

Leash - Veygas is waking a bit too again ... sometimes it's just the once (2am) but equally as much it's 12am and 4am ... and I'm suffering from insomnia again - I haven't been able to get to sleep until after 11pm for about a week now, and after I feed Veygas, I can't get back to sleep again ... did someone say ZOMBIE???? LOL!

We are over buying DVD's!! We have started downloading episodes of various shows from iTunes (yes we are Mac freaks!) and hopefully we will get the Apple TV gizmo by Christmas (our pressy to each other LOL!)

Anyway, I'm gonna have a cuppa before my little man wakes up! WWOOOOOO HHOOOOO the sun has started to come out!! (pity I chucked the clothes in the dryer at 7.30am when it was all misty and rainy!! )

MM- that virus sounds horrible! We've just had one sweep through our house hold Cadence had it coughed over Allegra she got it then Allegra sneezed on me and I got it and trying very hard not to pass it to DF. HAHA zombie I hope you get a chance to become more human soon.

MM - hear ya on the dribbling babe. And I think it's definitely teeth.
Kel - already onto it with the Bonjela. At the moment unless I put it on before she has a feed, she keeps pulling off and crying and doesn't feed properly. Sorry to hear you and DF are having problems... hope it works out for you.
Mel - hope your little guy is feeling better.
Wow what a day, spent five hours walking around the city and Beth screamed all the way home on the bus but how much do i love my stepmum she did some shopping for me so I didn't have to try to fit that in as well.

MM - Yay for cloth. How are they going? I love the pics!

Squidipa - :yay: Fantastic weight gain! Go Joshie! Go Joshie! Go, Go, Go Joshie! Sounds like he is beginning to really feed well with all that extra milk! I know what you mean about the booby holiday, Jett has been feeding alot today, although I think that is just because it is warm.

Leasha - for the cruise! Why not? Glad to hear Shel has become domesticated. And I am right there with you needing that VBAC, although I have only been given a 40% chance of success due to my circumstances. My Ob said most people have a 70% chance so the odds are in your favour!

    CM4E - What's the score on Seven's routine?

Arimeh - Sorry to hear about the last few rough nights. Poor DS, he must be feeling so miserable.

Pixie, Squidipa & MM - mg: TEETH????? Where have our gummy newborns gone???

Sasha - We love the calming vibrations so much in this house that we have run out of thme!!! (Gotta change the battery!) for smaller gain this week!

Kel - Yay for Allegra being brave for her needles! Jet is yet to have his.... next Saturday. The question is will Mummy have her brave face on?? :-o for having troubles with DF. I hope you can work things out.

Rachael - What a healthy boy you have!!! Glad he is a good traveller though. I think Jett would be too, we get out and about alot and he is always better behaved when we are out than at home. I think he just gets bored sleeping at home so he prefers to sleep when he is out!

Vic and Nakita - Happy 4 months!! Hip Hip Hooray! Yay for dress ups! I love costumes, but I make them myself. I have some great ones too, my favourites are Rainbow Brite and Woddy and Jesse from Toy Story! For those on Facebook there is a photo of me in my Rainbow Brite costume in my photos!

I'm glad everyone else gets just as distracted as me! heehee!

Just read all your comments on the crash yesterday with the eight people. Yes it is legal in this state to have more passengers as long as all the seat belts are being used. It is frowned upon of course, but I think it is a throw back from the days where you piled the kids in to the back of the kingswood station wagon and went down the street. I have to admit that I have been in an overloaded car as recently as 2 years ago. Not normal behaviour for a 30 year old! But mind you every time we have done it the driver has always been so careful cos they don't want to draw attention to themselves. The first time we had 7 in a taxi!! That time we went through a booze bus!! Lucky it was cold and wet and the windows all fogged up! And then the one 2 years ago we also went through a booze bus. There was 7 of us in that one too. The funny one with that one was the driver was shuttling the hens party to the pub and we were the first trip. By the time she dropped us off and went back the booze bus had moved to the other side of the road and she got pulled over again. This time they picked her up and fined her cos the car wasn't registered to her new address. She had done the paperwork but it hadn't yet been processed. Lucky we weren't all in the car that time, cos it would have been a very nervous wait! But those idiots in the coupe - fancy overloading a two door car like that and then speeding. I'm sorry, but there are some people more idiotic than others!

Well, my angel disappeared today and I got Velcro Jett back. But as Leasha said this week, being 12 weeks is a wonder week where they become clingy, cranky and cry alot. Although it is only supposed to last for a day or two this time rather than a week or two. He has been so clingy that I have been writing this off and on all day and I got no lunch! But I reckon my angel will be returning real soon!

Last night we had a late mothers group so all the Dad's could come along and learn to do infant massage. It was great, although Jett doesn't like massage very much. Whenever I do it he cracks it halfway through too cos he wants to go to sleep. But we'll keep persisting!

    Morning all,

Just a quick one as Kye is due for a bottle. Kye slept from 8pm thru till 3am last night then 3:15am till 5:15am so 9 hours sleep total and boy does it make a difference to his mood. He is laughing and giggling away; so cool!!

Well today is another weigh in - thanks for the "small" gain vibes
The past two days I've noticed he has just got heavier when I hold him so I am pretty sure he will easily hit the 8kg mark today!
Once thats all over and done with Kye and I are heading up to Brisbane on the train to The Wesley hospital to see a friend who had her baby on tuesday.
It will be Kye's first train ride so that's gonna be interesting

Anyways gotta go feed the man before he starts screaming the neighbourhood down.

    Morning all!
Well, we had another sleep through last night 11.30 till 6.40!
MT - I really need to get ahold of this wonder weeks book, because that is sooo what happened to DD this week. Good to hear it's only going to be short lived.
Sash, hope your little guy hasn't gained too much weight. and yay for the first train ride. I took Beth on her first bus ride yesterday. She loved it on the way into town, but she was screaming on the way back cause she was starving.
Squidipa hope Joshie keeps stacking that weight on. Booby holiday! I could use one of those myself!
Mel - I can't believe you have to go back to work ......
I went into my office yesterday cause I needed someone to witness a stat dec and it was the first place I could think of where a bunch of lawyers were probably standing around doing nothing it was nice, everyone admired Beth and they asked me to their christmas functions... it occurs to me I really have to go and have a serious talk with them about what happens at the end of my ML cause I will need to put Beth down on waiting lists for CC and I have probably already left it too late.
Big 60th birthday party for the ILs tonight so a busy one today.... have a great day all.

MT, actually I read your birth story and ours was pretty much identical, right down to labour length and why we had to go c/s. Jazz was trying to come out sideways and got stuck on my hip. Apparently, according to a stupid hospital ob, I should never ever try for a vbac. to him

Weigh in for us today as well, hoping for a gain, I think N has more creases on the backs of her legs but not certain, we don't have "rolls"!!

So this Wonder Week how many times are they waking through the night before sleeing through again? I thought the night before last was because it was hot but nup an extra feed was put in at 4.30am last night too, plus settling and I am buggered!!! Going on Gestation which is what the WW does N is 11 weeks.

I want my sleeping baby back

Kell, how is the sleeping and dummy going?

Yay Pixie for the sleeping again!! I hope it is me too soon! I tried to get the book but they are as rare as Hen's Teeth!! I need to borrow it from the local library!!

Yay Kye - what a champ all that sleep, for a small gain!

Leasha and MT I hope you both get your VBAC's!!!!

He He Squidipa I can't wait to see N all dressed up, must go and put the washing on after I have finished this feed so it can be washed and dried for tonight!

Big Hello Hugs and Kisses to all this morning xxoo

Josh seems to get extra thirsty in this weather too!!
Hey that sounds great a late mothers group for dads to participate. I actually don't do baby massage i have a few times but josh gets cold to quick. Funny that one minute he is hot next he is all patchy in color and cold. BUT he does love a foot massage when going off to sleep. He also LOVES he nose and eye brows being stroked what does all your bubs like to go off to sleep. Josh LOVES my singing even when it is just a made up song about his thunder bum
