    Hi Everyone,

Just a quick one! Off to bed now - it's late!

Leash - Glad to hear about the docs diagnosis. And sorry to hear about the feeding/sleep frustrations. Don't feel bad if you need to cry along with Jazz, and don't feel weird about it either. It is perfectly normal, quite therapeutic and you are only expressing the way you are feeling! I have done it on many an occasion when Jett has cried and screamed and I have no idea why! It is heartbreaking to hear and when you are suffering from a lack of sleep yourself it ain't easy to stay strong and not breakdown.

Pixie - You have way too much motivation today! Can I have some? My house really needs the once over but I just don't have the energy (or inclination! )

Squidipa - Yay for hubbies interview. Goodluck, I hope it goes well. And congratulations on Joshie's weight gain. Fantastic news!!

Mel - Poo for DD not feeling well! I hope she feels better soon.

MM - Oooh yay for the house hunting! Getting exciting! I thought you went to GP for allergy testing referral? Sounds nasty - poor darling. Must have been awful.

Bec - Jett is still being wrapped too. I have experimented a little with trying to train him out of being wrapped. We were told to start wrapping with one arm out, followed by both arms out and then wrapping loosely until they are used to that and from there no wrap!! I have tried all three but he just kept waking up about an hour earlier than normal. Although the one arm out didn't seem to bother him too much. I could have persisted with it, but he isn't showing any signs of rolling in bed yet so I figure I will try again when that all starts to happen. I think if she isn't showing signs of rolling yet to not stress about teaching her to sleep unwrapped, but maybe try a bigger wrap so you can get the ends tucked in easier, or perhaps try a ready made swaddle, they type that all you have to do is put them in it and velcro it shut! They are made to be inescapable! Jett has a miracle blanket and a swaddleme wrap. I have tried using a standard wrap but there just isn't enough tail ends to wrap well and he gets out really easily.

Ok, not much to report here, had a day out today and Jett was very very good. Was a bit grizzly when we got home and wouldn't go to sleep, but of course he eventually dropped off! Another day out again tomorrow, followed by some friends over for dinner.

    Ok, bed time

    Mwah!

Jett is still being wrapped too. I have experimented a little with trying to train him out of being wrapped.
No need for us to do that here, K has just done it himself LOL! The past two nights I have put him in this Ralph Lauren long sleeve suit which has no legs (like a sleeping bag with just elastic round the bottom) and he has slept the usual 8:30pm ish through till 5-5:30am.

I think around the 4 month mark they are learning that they want to do their own thing. K was a little bugger yesterday morning, just would not go to sleep no matter what I did. Evenutually after his 2pm feed he slept for 2 and a half hours! After reading some of your posts about the troubles you are having with sleeping I think I am very lucky that he is sleeping is as good as it is!

He didnt drink that much yesterday, I think the total was around 750mls and he still slept through the night, was really surprised as I was sure I was going to have to get up to him to do a feed. Weigh in day again today, looking forward to seeing if him having this cold will make a diffrerence to his gain, I wont be surprised if it doesnt LOL but yeah last few days he hasnt had his full quota of milk so there IS hope for a gain LESS than 200 grams hehe

Leasha - are you referring to the back of Jazz's head? K's head is very flat at the back. I try to change his sleeping position every now and then - I have changed his cot around three times already since he was born. I've moved the mattress so he lies both ways. I asked the nurse about it and she said it is completely normal at this age and that in time it will 'pop' out. Sometimes I find myself looking at other babies though just to get reassurance that yes it is normal, makes me feel better PMSL

Anyways tummy is rumbling, gonna get brekky while the man is still asleep!

BBL to let ya know the verdict (K's gain)

sasha i wish i had the same type of sleeping as you with kye. Altho i was more alert last night making me able to wrap josh he did skip his 2 am feed. yay.

BTW dunno if i replied to you vic but josh has started to fuzz at the boob. and for the time being i am keeping ff and bfing up and on wednesday we will take things from there as it is our next pead appointment. But dont mean to be an atention seeker here but have you or anyone wondered if josh is on 300ml of formula a day now and gaining those amounts would i be right in asuming he could double those figures when he goes on formula permanetly???
180 ml 5 times day the tin says.... altho to be honest i think he will drink more or at least want more formula throughout day. at moment we are watering down the 300 ml total as it is making a 120 botle go to 140 and the 180 bottle to 200mls.

we reweighed josh mind you i did not see the scales hubbie did it so hoping done right but as you would know vic its hard to go wrong with the scales we own. since wednesday josh has gained a further190 grams. every day i weigh him i never see a decrease just a slight increase so no real fluctuation. So there fore i have to take it as real weight.

Any how what are your thought everyone!!!!

on a side note i got peeded on in bed as hubbie did the nappy last night and the wee went all down the front of me like as tho i wee'ed my self ewwl i know then he peeded as hubbie put him on scales too much for him to hold on hehe obviously needed to go.

Yeah MT shame the motivation doesn't really extend to cleaning up otherwise the house might be a bit tidier! I think I have just been keeping busy cause the Bear is away. Pretty happy with my marmalade though, and the teacake turned out much better than the last one! and the Bear is home tonight
Squiddy that fussing on the BB is soooo annoying. Beth does it the worst if we're out. It's like she doesn't actually have anything she just faffs around.
Sash = I still wrap Beth at night but I have been leaving an arm out so she can suck on her fingers. I am not sure if she actually does, but she doesn't seem to mind either way, she sleeps without the wrap during the day I just want her to know when it's time for a big long night time sleep IYKWIM.
I have noticed the last couple of days that during day naps she wakes up after about 20 minutes having a grizzle but if I rock her a bit she will go back to sleep.... weird, and its annoying cause if I don't catch her in time she's up
anyhoo hope everyone has a good day and big to mel, leash, beck, SB, MM, rach and everyone~!

    Good Morning everyone!!!

Just a quick one, well until little Miss N awakes

She is loving her 5am/5:30am feeds atm, I am not, but it is now 9:20am and she is still asleep....

She had her Imm's yesterday. It was much worse than then first time, but that was prob because last time we could come straight home and to bed, this time we had to go out and she was so upset little bubba, but was all smiles when we got home and wrapped for bed

Yay for the Bear coming home Pixie

340grams is a great gain Squidipa I wouldn't expect that he would put on double that is he is FFF, as he is getting a lot of milk from you already.

Did the Paed recommend watering down the F? Cos usually is you have a 120ml bottle, 120ml is water then two scoops (depending on brand) of F makes it up to around 140ml anyway. And the 180ml our ends up being nearly 210ml. So it don't know if you are actually watering it down that much

Yay for upping the size of the nappies too, it's great when you pass each milestone!!

Hope all goes well for your weighin today Sasha, and I hope Kye is feeling better really soon

Glad you had a good day MT! A Hoping for another one for you! 170mls last night , but N did get a bottle instead of a feed as she was soooo upset and sore and grump that she couldn't find the energy to attach. Poor little darling, back to normal this morning though!

Mel, hope your littlies are feeling bright and bubbly real soon!!

Big HUGS Leasha, I hope things settle down for you soon, and I would pop around in a heartbeat if I were closer, even if it is just to make you a cuppa and give you a break from Jazz. Great to hear the diagnosis was clear!!!

MM, happy hosue hunting, I couldn't image moving house with 4 littlies!!!

Hope Miss Grace get some sleep soon Beckoes!!

Well Nakita's Jeans arrived, have just washed, pity it is rainy today so i don't know if they have much of a chance to dry!!! Must run as I am seeing my accountant this afternoon

    Hi all!

Would you believe all the responses I had to what I'd read have all just leaked out of my brain??? Even reading back now, I can't for the life of me remember what I was going to say!!!

I had a crap night last night and it wasn't even Master V causing the probs!! My eldest 2 mucked around for 2.5 hours AFTER their baths, when they were supposed to be in bed trying to go to sleep. I soooooooo can't wait for them to have their own rooms!! If it was TONIGHT it wouldn't have been so bad, but last night, because they had school and preschool today, they really needed to sleep! (Not to mention I really needed to sleep too!)

Oh yeah, the wrapping - I actually wrap V in bassinette blankets! They are bigger than the wraps, but I have done that with all of mine, so it's not like I went to extra trouble to do it!! LOL! Plus, cause it's still very cool around here, it keeps him warm at night, which means less waking up (hehehe). Depending on what time he goes down for the night determines whether he wakes up once or sleeps right through! But I also wrap him during the day too, but like I mentioned before, he has both arms out cause he's a constant thumb sucker!

Pixie - some days I have so much motivation, but most days it's just ZIP! I'm starting to like the weekends where V wakes up early (like 5am) so I can feed him, put him back to bed and climb back into my bed for another 3 or 4 hours! LOL!

Damn, I really can't remember anything else right now ... I feel like eggs - does anyone know something good I can make for dinner that contains mince (as I already took it out of the freezer) and eggs????

Anyways hope everyone is doing well. for all! (golly gosh I'm lazy today! )

ETA: Yay Sash for K's little gain!!!!

Pixie - this is what K is doing too during the day. I jump up real smart if I'm not near him. Like you said, if I catch K in time he will re-settle too but if I dont then yip he grins at me like "helllloooo mummy sleep time is over" hehe

Ok so back from weigh in and I am so happy with the gain this week; last week he was 8550grams and today he weighs 8630 grams so a gain of only 80 grams ..... woooooohooooo Finally he is starting to taper off, lets hope next week is along similar lines

Anyways just got home, need food and best I get it now while he is still asleep in his capsule LOL

    BBL maybe
