Squidipa the song that does it for me is Heartbeats by Jose Gonzales... it was on my birth mix and the first time I heard it I was in full on labour, and it just cut through everything, I remember turning to the Bear and saying "what's this? it's beautiful". Still get goosebumps every time I hear it.
Weighed Beth today - 6.29 kilos with her clothes on.... that reminds me I should fish them out of the dirty clothes basket and weigh them so I can subtract!
Well, pretty quiet today, going to Melbourne Cup lunch tomorrow with MG girls so that should be fun.

Squidipa- Thats great Josh is putting on weight! The song that makes me cry is one that DF's brothers band wrote it was about DF having to leave in the army when Cadence was only 2 weeks old and the line thats gets me everytime is "she's only two weeks old today, she has her mothers eyes her daddies smile, she laughs he (DF) wispers his goodbyes and only she see's her daddy cry" i'm tearing up just thinking about it. that song just reminds me how hard it was to have him leave us for months at a time :cry:

Well, we haven't exactly been careful either, which surprises me since DP is quite adamant about not wanting more kids, but he also knows how much I do want more ... I am also back to having alot of trouble sleeping, and it's not all Veygas's fault ... but I'm only getting about 4 - 5 hours sleep a night ...
I'm pretty sure there was more I wanted to say, but I got distracted LOL!
Oh yeah, songs that make you cry ... many years ago, I had a friend where we had a mutually suitable arrangement (if you get my drift ;)) but after a while, things went awry and I ended up writing a song about it - and it's that song that makes me cry! So I had a feeling, and I had be very vigilant with Nakitas feeding over the weekend, watching and encouraging every suck!

We ended up seeing the CYHN at the same time, just wanted to see what she thought, also got her length done.
So she is:
4650grams on the 10th percentile (corrected age)
57cm on the 50th percentile (corrected age) think she might be a tall one!!
We still have the official weigh in on Friday and will wait and see what they say then, but hoping for a 2 week weigh in :)

Hi everyone.... quick one from me. It is kind of a long weekend here in Melbourne due to Melbourne Cup tomorrow. So hubby and I have had quite a bit on!
Feeling very deflated here, had a weigh in today for Jett's 3 months. We have a gain of the grand total of 60gms for the last 4 weeks. :wtf:
Not sure what the reasoning is for this, especially considering I had an over supply in the beginning and the poor lad was over feeding. It could be because we were both sick for quite some time in there or perhaps my supply is just doing it's own thing. So I have to try and express after every feed now and top him up. I'm also going back to feeding both sides each feed. Aaaggghhhhhh! Why can't this BF be easy????? It just doesn't make sense! :o
I just feel upset that this could have all been going on for 4 weeks and poor Jett has been suffering. But he has been happy enough, and I did try feeding him both sides last week and he threw up the extra in semi-powerchuck style. So I wasn't to know......but I can't help feeling guilty.
Ok, I'm going to slink off to bed now I've had my whinge. Hopefully I will be cheery again next time I'm on.

Kel, yep I'm going to the morning tea... I kept meaning to let you know but then kept fprgetting :doh: Can't wait to see Colleen, and Ann - she was so great. Ann oraganised the chaplan (sp?) to come see me because of everything that had happened, I thought that was really thoughtful :) We gave her some choccies which I think she enjoyed LOL!
Jazz has had a shocker. She just randomly screams every now and then... I kept thinking something had bitten her but I've checked her over, no marks or anything, she keeps doing it, I'm not sure.
Feeling very lonely today, I think I'm just emotional, but I had a big cry this morning when Shel left for work. She starts at 6.30am, but leaves at 5:50. Work is MAYBE 10 minutes down the road... I just don't understand why she leaves so early. This morning really upset me as she left without giving Jazz a cuddle, Jazz woke at at 5.45, i thought she would have stayed maybe 5 minutes longer to give her a cuddle or something but no she HAD to leave right at that very second. I dunno. I'm just being emotional I know. She's always done that, it just I think its just a compilationof things that have happened this weekend that are making things very unsteady between us. Anyway, not to worry, it'll work out. Just as long as Shel is home long enough to see that something needs working out... :cry:

It feels like i just cant keep up i am exhausted all the time with all the feeds 6 feeds between 5 and 7pm then expressing every feed and giving him that and a feed at 10.30 at night its full on so i do understand BIG HUGS!!!!:grouphug::

Well, as for me, I didn't get breakfast until 9.45am this morning because my ratbag kids (well the 2 eldest) decided to muck around and take 45 minutes to eat their own breakfast, then they had to get ready for school (which DD needs help with cause her uniform is soooooo difficult) then I had to change 2 nappies and get my 2 little men dressed, plus hang out a load of washing and then it was time to leave for school! I HATE leaving the house before breakfast and a cuppa, but I hate throwing it down due to time constraints as well, so I decided to wait til I got home!
Plus my eldest 2 decided 4am was the perfect time to get up this morning!!! (and due to the fact I have used my emoticon limit already, I can't throw in a "rolleyes" or a "wtf" or even a wide eyed one!! LOL!!) So despite the fact that I actually got to sleep before 9pm last night (hooray!!!), I am still tired today .... oh well ....

i am having another mega-busy week and i have a freakin' saga on my hands (if you are on FB you'll know about it).. in short someone has taken my WORK photo and other photos of me and used it on a jewish internet dating site!! then the site has advertised using my photo!!! go to jpost.com and scroll down a long way and in the right sidebar you'll see my photo and a thing saying "ask me out".... trying to get them to take it down but it's gonna cost me a lot in legal fees meh.

With my feeding changes, I now sit Nakita up, she sits next to me with her legs facing into the counch, I then tickle her under the chin the whole time she feeds - unless she is sucking/drinking well. Had a nice visit from Kat (Starbright) and Shane who made me feel much better and not lonely :) Jazz and Shane competed to see who could have the most booby. I *think* Shane won, though does it count if he kept burping it up again? :lol:
I got my money back from that eBay seller. I reported them to ACCC. Sucks to be them, YAY to be me. It was less 10% for a cencellation fee which I think is a bit rich but at least I got most of it back.
Hey Mel was it you who suggested Thirsties? I got one of their covers and it is GREAT! No leaks AT ALL! I am so stoked! I didn't have to change her clothes AT ALL yesterday, which has to be a first. I also bought a Bummi's and a Tots Bots one just to see how they go, they're pretty good too, the Tots Bots is a bit big so leaks a bit but not even as much as my dumb PVC plichers (which are now in the bin).
Oh, BTW, Shel has a bone to pick with you... something about getting me addicted to expensive covers :rofl: Nah just jokes she loves them, actually she doesn't quite know exactly how much they cost... I think I won't tell her (she's been very smart and not asked me :lol:).

This is just a quick one cos I still haven't caught up on BB yet, just read Leash's post! I can't believe it, I'm up and having breakfast and Jett is still asleep! He went to bed around 11 last night and I stayed up later to express.....
He must be exhausted from all the feeding yesterday. He fed nearly every 2 hours both sides except for a 4 hour stint in the middle of the day. The last two nappies of the day were splodey poos, one with serious leaks, so I am hoping he is just making up for the last couple of days where he has barely done anything. Normally we have poo nearly every nappy change so we don't get a backlog, but phew! twice in a row was a bit much! Made a mess of his itti bittis! I think he has done one overnight as well! So now I am hoping it isn't the overfeeding thing coming back to haunt us where it goes straight through him..... I guess I will know if he starts screaming and crying from wind-pain non-stop in the next few days.
Well....he's still asleep so I am going to have breakfast :)

DP was actually talking about FOSTERING .. apparently there is a group of 5 siblings they want to keep together ... I'd LOVE that!! (9 kids, plus potentially one on the way ... HOUSE FULL!!!!! LOL):
do you know how reliable pregnancy tests after giving birth are? i mean how long till the HCG is out of your system totally? i have no idea. we're not TTC again yet but DH jokes about it and i say i want my body to get back to normal first!!
hehehe I dragged out my sewing machine yesterday (it was covered in dust due to 2 years of no use!!LOL) and got some scrap material to see if I could actually MAKE a cloth nappy, and IT WORKED!!! So i ordered some proper materials and I'm gonna do my own!!! :dance:
This morning when I got up, Veygas was still asleep, so I expressed in the shower (he didn't feed through the night) and came out with 200ml which he guzzled while we had breakfast, then he had MORE about half an hour later before going back to sleep! Talk about hungry hungry hippo LOL!
Anyhoo, I'm gonna have a cuppa while Master V is asleep!

MM - Wow, NINE kids!!!!! that is amazing. I can't even imagine it. I'm sure you could make it work though, your kids are so well behaved and I think at some point you hit critical mass, and they start helping to look after each other. We told you about our friends who had seven kids together and then decided to get married - although with nine you would beat them! And good on you for making a nappy - I'm so impressed. I have got this idea in my head I want to make a patchwork quilt but I would have to do it by hand so it will take a looooooooong time..... and I don't really know where to start :o

Melbourne cup lunch yesterday with MG was good.... glad I didn't put a bet on though cause I would have lost! Today our walk around the bay wasn't cancelled for the first time ever and I just got back. My feet are killing me! Was pretty much pushing the pram from 9.30 until 2.00 with a half hour break for coffee! Now my friend is popping over so gonna try to rustle up something to eat quickly - I'm starving!

feeling a bit over whelmed with all the catch up reading i have to do and finding the time to do so. So anyhow its gonna be a me post.
I went to ipswich yesterday after getting off in goodna and stuffed our faced with pizza then bk on train to hospital sweat pouring off of us it was horrid. I had taken frozen EMB and funny enough it lasted whole day nicely cold. I wasnt expecting that and we just took it out shook it and the air warmed it up very quickly for feeding. I took 4 bottles with me and i ended up becoming VERY engorged and sore. Dont like BF on trains or while walking AND KNEW WE WOULD BE RUSHED FOR TIME When i got home i expressed 260 ml and fell asleep, How i manged that i dunno as i was all sticky but obviously buggered.
When we did reach hospital i was cacking myself laughing Josiah was looking left then right then left then right doing head exersizer for like ages it was SOOOOOOO FUNNY!!:lol: :ROFL: saw specialist surgeon and even tho it was all so quick and rushed with him and so unprivate with open cubical with just a curtain i guess i came out of there with a result i wanted and that was to go on the waiting list for an keyhole op on my knee. So i guess im happy day surgery will have to wait maybe up to 3 years tho :( But then again im no keen on racing in for pain either. I asked for a transfer to redcliff but was told i would have to start this process all again go on waiting list to see a surgeon and after 1 year of already waiting i was like stuff that.
Josiah was FANTASTIC ON TRAIN like sooo good he loved looking around and seeing everything moving and all the bumps and stuff. It was good me and hubbie getting out of house and NOT shopping IYKWIM.
After that we went to riverlink for late lunch and then to indoorpilly for tea and its such a nice area Indoorpily or howeva ya spell it lol:doh: than back to cab and collect kids only to find DS7 didn't eat his lunch and DS3 was a little POO POO head:o sooo was not impressed. Got home showed kids as they had eaten and then to today....

took joshie for his weigh in and the whole week he gaineda whopping 220grams:bluecheer: :bluecheer:she did stills that he is still under weight and he should be 560grams heavier than now.
She worked that out like this
joshie is nearly 14 weeks take 2 weeks away for the 10 percent lost at birth she said then get 150 x 12 weeks and thats how much of a gain he should have had gained 1800 in total and hasnt so he falls 560 short of that.
Either way we are happy a gain.... thats what 300-400 EBM daily and 6 feeds 2 hours does i guess thats pumping each feed time tho :rolleyes: very tiering indeed!!!!!
I bought a BBQ online in ebay and a toy the mega blocks juke box that toys sooo cool hehehehe and the bbq looks great too, got an electric one yay it's a lot bigger than ones in shops thats for sure.
welll Joshie is cracking the poops and that mean i pretty much have to go. I did tho this week get to cook with DD we made
1.5 batches of pasion fruit scones
1 batch of chili scones
1 batch of rock cakes
1 batch of cream cheese scones
1 batch of carrot muffins
one batch of mudcake muffins too all in one go i was soooo tired after all of that. finally now i can post this then ill go get kids well park car and wait as its pouring with rain car bays fill up quick at school will try to do personals later.

Squiddy, I noticed someone talking on one of the quilting threads about a beginners pack they bought somewhere so I'm going to see if i can find one at spotlight..... I did that with silk ribbon embroidery and I had some fun doing that for a while.

I am at my wits end at the moment - our 7 yo STOLE his sister's Nintendo DS AGAIN and took it to school AGAIN (and obviously got caught again!) I just don't know what to do with him anymore! :angry: Banning him from stuff doesn't work, taking stuff away doesn't work, talking to him doesn't work, punishing him doesn't work ... but I'm sure we'll find something that does :crossfingers:

awww i hate it when it gets lika that ive worked out with my son what ay do is give him something really GREAT and cool and then ya use that to take away from him. Well here i dont have a Nintendo DS mind you he wants one :s but we have an old nintendo 64 and i take that away from him and that works. as for DD we take reading away at night and that ALWAYS works. Actually i was looking about ebay for some 64 games need to buy some more so i have something to take away.:

I tried the whole taking things away well pretending to throw things in the bin cos she wasn't cleaning her room totally back fired she would say "yeah we put it in the bin" I tried hard to explain it would be gone for ever :doh: ( I don't have the heart to really throw her things away) LOL at Josiah's head exercises Allegra does the same thing and the hair on the back of her head is slowly dissapearing

My gosh this is taking me a million years to finish hee hee. I had my first day back working today my parents own a transport company and I'm now their book keeper and I get to take Allegra with me YAY!
Allegra has been super cute lately she's so cheeky I have been feeding her she stops looks up at me and smile it's soooooo adorable! And Cadence has been cracking me up big time first she did the trick where you put a spoon on your nose and balance it I can't even do that! THEN she some how changed our computer display picture to a picture of Allegra! She would had to of gone in to the menu and browsed for a pic of her completely blew me away!

sorry gonna be a short post josh didnt feed properly all day yesterday after 5 mins i was struggling to keep him going so finishing at 17 to 20 min feeds. then he had EBM at 10.30 to wake at 1 and so on all morning i am like totally stuffed today at1am my body was so tired my arms hurt back legs i couldnt even hold him i was soooo achy. I had only had about 30 to 40 mins sleep he has two feeds between 1 and 5 to feed again at 5.30 and then i noticed nothing was coming out so i tried by pump and hand nope so i gave him some expressed stuff i think my trek to ipswich has stuffed my supply up.
I am buggered and tired but on a good note josh slept more during day yesterday.

Hi pixie, we have a bright starts one, but Jazz has spewed all over it efore and we just pulled out the plastic bits and chucked it in the wash :)
