hey thanks Guys or should i say ladies???
 Mel, isn't it always the way??? I hate doing stuff at the end of the day!
Pixie - sorry, I was a bit distracted when i wrote that and forgot to mention it was 12 months ago!! LOL!
Squidipa - big  for joshie and the blood tests
I'm expecting a bad night tonight - Master V was sooooooooooo grumpy and whingy and was in bed at somewhere between 5-5.30pm!! :o
We have a new game now ... you can say anything to him as long as it ends with "mummy" and he smiles!! He really is such a mummy's boy - he still looks at DP as if to say "and who the f*** are you??"
Meanwhile, DS2 has started to call DP "mumdy" LOL!! He got confused and went to say mummy, but realised he was talking to daddy!! hehehe
And thanks for all the happy 4 months wishes!! I hadn't realised that we were there already!! LOL! Golly gosh time flies!!
Anyway, haven't been sleeping well (AGAIN!!) lately, so I'm gonna try get an early one in tonight!
mwah! xxx
Pixie - dont worry, I actually read it the same way too! I had to re-read it again then I clicked that she was talking about last year.
Well hoping to have a better night tonight. My dad is off to New Zealand in the morning. My nana had a stroke last week so he is going to see her. From what we've been told she is ok, my aunty's are taking turns in looking after her during the week and she has meals on wheels coming around with all her food which she is looking forward to apparently LOL
Anyways gtg Kye is a bit grizzly....
Hi to all
Grace was born almost two weeks over her due date aswell, was almost induced but luckily went in to labour a day before i was due to have the induction.
Squidipa: congrats on your little ones weight gain.
Saw a few photos, have to try and work out how to get a photo of Grace on here.
Kel84, mountain mummy: checked her gums and they look abit swollen and white, and seems much happier when chewing on something (anything) . so could well be teething!!
Well, been struggling to get her to sleep in the days much, even though i can see she is so tired, we have an electric rocker we used when she was a baby and that is the only place she will sleep in the day, although she will be too big for it soon...try every sleep time to get her to put her in her cot, but she just screams till she is beside herself. sleeps great in there at night.
Also,I have been wrapping her since birth and she has just started to get herself unwrapped and wakes up...was up every two hours last night to re-wrap...should i try to teach her to sleep unwrapped, any tips??
Thanks
Hey Beckoes,
I think you need to have 25 posts in the forums to be able to upload photos ... so jump in and join our chatty mob!! ;)
Hey guys, I think we have slipped under the radar again - 323 posts! :nahnah:
Last night wasn't as bad as anticipated - 1am wake up then 6.30am!! So all in all not too bad! And the 6.30am was because Veygas had wriggled out from under the blankets AND the wrapping!! LOL! He now does 180's in his cot!! hehe
Anyways, better get a wriggle on, got some phone calls to make - hopwfully get in to see some houses on sunday!
mwah to all xxxx
ETA: Sash - hope your Nan's OK!
Been catching up on all the posts, well trying anyway... Haven't been online since last Saturday, my sis has been up since Monday.
Went to the dr, found that Jazz DOESN'T have craniostenosis which is EXCELLENT!!!! Still an incredibley bumpy and flat head so off to the chiro Mel goes to (finally lol) and lots of things to try and sort it out.
Had our CHN appointment Monday too, to talk about her day feeds and sleeps. Got some ok strategies. Still working on it. I have to be a strong mummy when she protests her day sleeps. Tuesday was pretty rough, yesterday was great, today not so much. Yesterday we had two big sleeps (one was 1hr 50min, the other was 1hr 20min) plus one 35 minute sleep. The feeds were still all over the place, our aim is less than 10 feeds a day with each feed at least 2 hrs apart and for 20 minutes or more, and 2-3 day sleeps that are 1-2 hrs each... which would be great for me, at the moment she's all over the place with 10minute feeds every 60-90 minutes, and cat napping 10-30 minutes at a time maybe 3 times a day. I so hope this works :crossfingers: or I'll be going to a day stay to save my sanity. Nights are fine though, 8pm til 1.30-3.30am, and then til sleep 4-6am. She doesnt party at her night wake anymore either, just awake for booby then sleep.
Ok, geez my computer turned itself onto standby... have been trying to settle her for the last hour :o Friggen screaming blue murder at me... I feel like crying with her most times
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
For crying out loud, she's awake again
Leasha: hi, how are you, ive talked to you on BB before, Jazz looks so cute in your photo!! she sounds just like Grace the way she feeds and sleeps!! i have to admit that i feed her to settle her nearly 100% of the time, which i probably shouldnt! glad she is well.
Leash honey, if it makes you feel better then by all means cry with her!! When my eldest was a baby, he was very similar to Jazz - never wanting to sleep, always wanting to feed and sometimes when he cried, I'd just hold him and sit on the lounge or lie on the bed and cry too ... in fact, I have done that with all of them now! Big  for you hun! And :hooray: for Jazz not having craniostenosis!!! :goodluck: with the chiro!
That reminds me - does anyone know how to get allergy tested? DD came up all blotchy / welts and swollen the other day, out of the blue and all over her body, face, arms, legs ... took her to the ED where they checked her over, gave her a dose of antihistamines and said it was an allergic reaction that could have been caused by ANYTHING!!!
Anyway, might post in medical conditions forum as well!
mwah! xxx
MM - I think with allergies they take blood tests don't they? or do a pr!ck test on their arms or something :dunno:
Leash - you poor thing!!!! but yayyyy for the diagnosis of Jazz - definitely see Scott I saw him again on Tuesday - cos I was worried about Miss M's wonky lookin head - her head is fine - its just wonky.. lol.. if you want a visitor tues or wed lemme know k? I was going to text you last night, but figured you would be busy with your sis  but I am thinking about you guys!!!!
beck - can't help you on the tips for unwrapping - Miss M sleeps on her belly - so no wrapping here (and hasn't been for about 3.5 months!!) lol
Hello to everyone else, I'm at work (lunch) still supposed to be working through lunch though - got 4 settlements tomorrow to do, my boss is away, so is the receptionist and the office manager - so its a couple of secretaries - one solicitor and me!!!! Arggh... too bad if something goes wrong - I'll have no help!!!!!! Have I mentioned I hate conveyancing?? hehe
Miss M went to the doc this morning she has a horrid cough that is waking her up all the time. But they couldn't find anything wrong with her - just a cold thats gone to her chest so it should pass in time. DH is at home with her at the moment, DS is at care.
I'd better go, get back to work I suppose :wall:
Hey folks
just a quick hi, DD is finally asleep! I'm going to quickly do the bathroom floors while she's out.
Mel and Beckoes, hope your DD's are better soon... MM bummer about the allergy... hope you can figure out what caused it!
Leash - good to see you back and great to hear that Jazz doesn't have craniostenosis!
hmm off to mop bathrooms... BBL
to much going on and so hard for me to keep up,
sasha i hope you nan is o.k BIG hugs :hugs:
Becka: do u mind if i call you that seems like it rolls of my tongue or fingers in this case my sister i call her becka so it comes naturally to type and say that. let me know your thoughts??? I still wrap joshie he likes it Joshie startles hims elf way to easily and wakes all the time. At moment we arnt even get sleep through the nights he is feeding at 11pm and 2.30 and then either 4.40 or 5.30 then normally every 1.5 hours. HECKTIC!!!
Leasha....BIG hugs i hope she falls into a consistent routine that works for both of you!! I hear ya about the regular feeds Josiah's been doing it for weeks now. The last two days i have cried just because i have been so exauhsted my body is doing that stupid shut own thing and its getting worse like i get so tired i cant talk right words are slired like i have just woken up. I have burst into tears say just take him for 1 hour i NEED to sleep. and last night josiah spewed up the whole formula feed. Think it was my fault as i kept falling asleep and eh was getting air he burped and the whole lot came up.
MM you need a referral to a children's hospital and they do it there i am waiting for an appointment for DS3.
big wave to everyone else
Today i said to hubbie can you take the bottle as we were going out the door and he replied i have josh i replied i a already carrying my bag his blankets and 2 bottles on tap(my breast) hubbie cracked him self laughing :p
i know i know double post but i just wanted to say yay i got a new laptop but unsure if i should be calling it that as technically its a notebook but its as large as a laptop 15 inch screan and a propper keyboard to boot. thank you tax man lol!!
and finally installed the new dvd drive in to pc for hubbie it was an early bday gift and i had to clean the pc out anyhow as it was filled with dust as ya do. i also got round to doing the printer installing that i got the one on special the other week at kmart for 49 dollars and 20 cash back. its got fax printer an scaner and copier. i also scored a digital photo frame cheap too for 29 the otehr week but havnt had the time to open that yet.
to much spending and not enouh comming in oh well what eva makes me happy :p at the time yay. also i won a oztion auction today for 2.65 a compact mirror with a picture of a victorian ladie and man on the outside right up my all my sorta thing. Oh yeah free post. i talked hubbie up at the shops as a new daycare place is opening and the director her self was there and said send us a resume so lets hope that works out anyhow hbbie has job inetrview on saturday. last week we went sizzlers did i tell ya and this week we are going again with the ribe for early bday.
well thats my bragging sorry ahhhh nope not realy :roflol: only joking.
hmmmm I seem to be channeling martha stewart... tonight I have baked a sultana teacake and made marmalade.... what am I thinking? :o must be bed time!
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick one! Off to bed now - it's late!
Leash - Glad to hear about the docs diagnosis. And sorry to hear about the feeding/sleep frustrations. Don't feel bad if you need to cry along with Jazz, and don't feel weird about it either. It is perfectly normal, quite therapeutic and you are only expressing the way you are feeling! I have done it on many an occasion when Jett has cried and screamed and I have no idea why! It is heartbreaking to hear and when you are suffering from a lack of sleep yourself it ain't easy to stay strong and not breakdown.
Pixie - You have way too much motivation today! Can I have some? My house really needs the once over but I just don't have the energy (or inclination!)
Squidipa - Yay for hubbies interview. Goodluck, I hope it goes well. And congratulations on Joshie's weight gain. Fantastic news!! :leap:
Mel - Poo for DD not feeling well! I hope she feels better soon.
MM - Oooh yay for the house hunting! Getting exciting! I thought you went to GP for allergy testing referral? Sounds nasty - poor darling. Must have been awful.
Bec - Jett is still being wrapped too. I have experimented a little with trying to train him out of being wrapped. We were told to start wrapping with one arm out, followed by both arms out and then wrapping loosely until they are used to that and from there no wrap!! I have tried all three but he just kept waking up about an hour earlier than normal. Although the one arm out didn't seem to bother him too much. I could have persisted with it, but he isn't showing any signs of rolling in bed yet so I figure I will try again when that all starts to happen. I think if she isn't showing signs of rolling yet to not stress about teaching her to sleep unwrapped, but maybe try a bigger wrap so you can get the ends tucked in easier, or perhaps try a ready made swaddle, they type that all you have to do is put them in it and velcro it shut! They are made to be inescapable! Jett has a miracle blanket and a swaddleme wrap. I have tried using a standard wrap but there just isn't enough tail ends to wrap well and he gets out really easily.
Ok, not much to report here, had a day out today and Jett was very very good. Was a bit grizzly when we got home and wouldn't go to sleep, but of course he eventually dropped off! Another day out again tomorrow, followed by some friends over for dinner.
Ok, bed time :asleep:
Mwah!
haha i had it i woke hubbie up to yes get a cricket out of our room it was large and green and making noises and after 3 nights already i was not up for night 4. Now just one moth thats bugging me but thats not as noisey.
pixie where do u find the energy oh man i so wouldnt mind a bit of it hehe.
MT thanks.... i usethose huggues wraps i got the newborn huggies box and they are largeand great for these hot sticky nights for josh...Do you own any becka???
oh man all that walking today i am buggered. i know what im getting for christmas yay. arnt i lucky.
i am in love with this lappy of myn i soooo am not sharing with hubbie altho thik illl have to hunt down a spare mouse for it to make it easier. josh is in bed hubbies checking something online and em welll im ahh in my pj's if ya can call it thsat sorry TMI laying on the bed HA!!!!! i found that darn moth. Its so darn sticky tonight.
The weeks since joshies birth has just passed lightening fAst its scary its like blink and a week is over .
GUESS WHAT??????
Joshie is NO longer fitting into newborns nappies as he is over 5 kilo yay. mind you he was in 5-8 kilo target ones. gee there real good, but today i noticd the huggies sizing and i felt an over whelming amount of happyness to think finally he has DONE IT!
todaY hubbie made me breaky and dinner eggs bancon toast and scetti. Tea he said what do u wnat and yep i picked it Pancakes again heheheh. yummo yeah we eat loads of that
well good night all,
No need for us to do that here, K has just done it himself LOL! The past two nights I have put him in this Ralph Lauren long sleeve suit which has no legs (like a sleeping bag with just elastic round the bottom) and he has slept the usual 8:30pm ish through till 5-5:30am.
I think around the 4 month mark they are learning that they want to do their own thing. K was a little bugger yesterday morning, just would not go to sleep no matter what I did. Evenutually after his 2pm feed he slept for 2 and a half hours! After reading some of your posts about the troubles you are having with sleeping I think I am very lucky that he is sleeping is as good as it is!
He didnt drink that much yesterday, I think the total was around 750mls and he still slept through the night, was really surprised as I was sure I was going to have to get up to him to do a feed. Weigh in day again today, looking forward to seeing if him having this cold will make a diffrerence to his gain, I wont be surprised if it doesnt LOL but yeah last few days he hasnt had his full quota of milk so there IS hope for a gain LESS than 200 grams  hehe
Leasha - are you referring to the back of Jazz's head? K's head is very flat at the back. I try to change his sleeping position every now and then - I have changed his cot around three times already since he was born. I've moved the mattress so he lies both ways. I asked the nurse about it and she said it is completely normal at this age and that in time it will 'pop' out. Sometimes I find myself looking at other babies though just to get reassurance that yes it is normal, makes me feel better PMSL
Anyways tummy is rumbling, gonna get brekky while the man is still asleep!
BBL to let ya know the verdict (K's gain)
:hello:
sasha i wish i had the same type of sleeping as you with kye. Altho i was more alert last night making me able to wrap josh he did skip his 2 am feed. yay.
BTW dunno if i replied to you vic but josh has started to fuzz at the boob. and for the time being i am keeping ff and bfing up and on wednesday we will take things from there as it is our next pead appointment. But dont mean to be an atention seeker here but have you or anyone wondered if josh is on 300ml of formula a day now and gaining those amounts would i be right in asuming he could double those figures when he goes on formula permanetly???
180 ml 5 times day the tin says.... altho to be honest i think he will drink more or at least want more formula throughout day. at moment we are watering down the 300 ml total as it is making a 120 botle go to 140 and the 180 bottle to 200mls.
we reweighed josh mind you i did not see the scales hubbie did it so hoping done right but as you would know vic its hard to go wrong with the scales we own. since wednesday josh has gained a further190 grams.:dance: every day i weigh him i never see a decrease just a slight increase so no real fluctuation. So there fore i have to take it as real weight.
Any how what are your thought everyone!!!!
on a side note i got peeded on in bed as hubbie did the nappy last night and the wee went all down the front of me like as tho i wee'ed my self ewwl i know then he peeded as hubbie put him on scales too much for him to hold on hehe obviously needed to go.
Yeah MT shame the motivation doesn't really extend to cleaning up otherwise the house might be a bit tidier! I think I have just been keeping busy cause the Bear is away. Pretty happy with my marmalade though, and the teacake turned out much better than the last one! and the Bear is home tonight :leap:
Squiddy that fussing on the BB is soooo annoying. Beth does it the worst if we're out. It's like she doesn't actually have anything she just faffs around.
Sash = I still wrap Beth at night but I have been leaving an arm out so she can suck on her fingers. I am not sure if she actually does, but she doesn't seem to mind either way, she sleeps without the wrap during the day I just want her to know when it's time for a big long night time sleep IYKWIM.
I have noticed the last couple of days that during day naps she wakes up after about 20 minutes having a grizzle but if I rock her a bit she will go back to sleep.... weird, and its annoying cause if I don't catch her in time she's up :o
anyhoo hope everyone has a good day and big :hello: to mel, leash, beck, SB, MM, rach and everyone~! :leap:
Good Morning everyone!!!
Just a quick one, well until little Miss N awakes ;)
She is loving her 5am/5:30am feeds atm, I am not, but it is now 9:20am and she is still asleep....
She had her Imm's yesterday. It was much worse than then first time, but that was prob because last time we could come straight home and to bed, this time we had to go out and she was so upset little bubba, :( but was all smiles when we got home and wrapped for bed :)
Yay for the Bear coming home Pixie :)
340grams is a great gain Squidipa I wouldn't expect that he would put on double that is he is FFF, as he is getting a lot of milk from you already.
Did the Paed recommend watering down the F? Cos usually is you have a 120ml bottle, 120ml is water then two scoops (depending on brand) of F makes it up to around 140ml anyway. And the 180ml our ends up being nearly 210ml. So it don't know if you are actually watering it down that much ;)
Yay for upping the size of the nappies too, it's great when you pass each milestone!!
Hope all goes well for your weighin today Sasha, and I hope Kye is feeling better really soon :)
Glad you had a good day MT! A Hoping for another one for you! 170mls last night :o, but N did get a bottle instead of a feed as she was soooo upset and sore and grump that she couldn't find the energy to attach. Poor little darling, back to normal this morning though!
Mel, hope your littlies are feeling bright and bubbly real soon!!
Big HUGS Leasha, I hope things settle down for you soon, and I would pop around in a heartbeat if I were closer, even if it is just to make you a cuppa and give you a break from Jazz. Great to hear the diagnosis was clear!!!
MM, happy hosue hunting, I couldn't image moving house with 4 littlies!!!
Hope Miss Grace get some sleep soon Beckoes!!
Well Nakita's Jeans arrived, have just washed, pity it is rainy today so i don't know if they have much of a chance to dry!!! Must run as I am seeing my accountant this afternoon ;)
Pixie - this is what K is doing too during the day. I jump up real smart if I'm not near him. Like you said, if I catch K in time he will re-settle too but if I dont then yip he grins at me like "helllloooo mummy sleep time is over" hehe
Ok so back from weigh in and I am so happy with the gain this week; last week he was 8550grams and today he weighs 8630 grams so a gain of only 80 grams ..... woooooohooooo  Finally he is starting to taper off, lets hope next week is along similar lines
Anyways just got home, need food and best I get it now while he is still asleep in his capsule LOL
BBL maybe :hello:
Hi all!
Would you believe all the responses I had to what I'd read have all just leaked out of my brain??? :o  Even reading back now, I can't for the life of me remember what I was going to say!!!
I had a crap night last night and it wasn't even Master V causing the probs!! My eldest 2 mucked around for 2.5 hours AFTER their baths, when they were supposed to be in bed trying to go to sleep. I soooooooo can't wait for them to have their own rooms!! If it was TONIGHT it wouldn't have been so bad, but last night, because they had school and preschool today, they really needed to sleep! (Not to mention I really needed to sleep too!)
Oh yeah, the wrapping - I actually wrap V in bassinette blankets! They are bigger than the wraps, but I have done that with all of mine, so it's not like I went to extra trouble to do it!! LOL! Plus, cause it's still very cool around here, it keeps him warm at night, which means less waking up (hehehe). Depending on what time he goes down for the night determines whether he wakes up once or sleeps right through! But I also wrap him during the day too, but like I mentioned before, he has both arms out cause he's a constant thumb sucker!
Pixie - some days I have so much motivation, but most days it's just ZIP! I'm starting to like the weekends where V wakes up early (like 5am) so I can feed him, put him back to bed and climb back into my bed for another 3 or 4 hours! LOL!
Damn, I really can't remember anything else right now ... I feel like eggs - does anyone know something good I can make for dinner that contains mince (as I already took it out of the freezer) and eggs????
Anyways hope everyone is doing well. :grouphug: for all! (golly gosh I'm lazy today! :p)
ETA: Yay Sash for K's little gain!!!!
Hi all, thanks for making me feel so welcome, wish i had joined earlier, would have made those stressfull times a bit easier having a group to share them with! but better late than never hay!
Squidipa: i dont mind being called Becka atall:D grace startles herself so easy aswell! its good that you have moved up a size in nappies, makes you really notice how much they have grown when you go to put an outfit on that used to fit and now is to small!! And i had a little laugh at your story about getting peed on! the other day i picked Grace up out of her car seet and wondered why she was wet, thought it must have just been dribble and didnt look, got in the house and went to put her down, lets just say it wasnt dribble and it wasnt wee!!!!! thank god we were home and not going out as it was all over me and her!!!! YUCK!!!
MT: Thanks for the advice! I have tried all the different types of wraps, the swaddle me and a big muslin one, also the velcro ones, small, medium and large, same result with all, both arms fully out!! she must be strong, or just really wiggly!! :lol:last night i re-wrapped her while she was still asleep and she went till 1pm so will just have to keep trying that! Will try leaving one arm out and see what she thinks of that! She cant roll over yet so guess its not to much of a problem yet. thanks
Beema:Grace has her Imms on monday, im dreading it!! we both just sat there last time, she screamed then sobed for ages and i sobed....she had a urinry tract infection at 10 weeks and had to have bloods taken twice and an iv drip and they couldnt find the vain in one hand so tried the other and it took so many attempts to get the needle in....im dreeding the jabs but will try not to let on to her as she really picks up on other peoples stress! hope Nakita is better after hers! BTW what a beautiful name!!
Any way, Sam has been in sydney for a few days but is back tonight, ive been so lazy while he has been gone and have a ton of house work to do before he gets home so the house look half decent!! better get to it before grace wakes up....i managed to get her to sleep in her cot this arvo...yay me:dance:
Hello
Very quick one for me
Squidipa thats fantastic Josiah has had a huge weight gain
I PM'd Jaspen as I hadn't seen her post for ages She says hello and that they are well Lincoln is rolling and starting crawling movements :D
better go Allegra is really cranky she wants food but has half an hour before she is due, I'm being quite strict on feeding times now so she finishes the whole bottle. And we had a good night last night slept from 10:30pm till 8am
Hi all!
Well I'm at work (hehe) and been such a busy little beaver this morning - lets just say that I hate clients, I hate banks and I hate other solicitors - its not been a good morning!! lol
Beck - you'll have to let us know if you want to catch up with me and Leash :) Yay for getting Grace to settle in her cot woohoo!!
Leash - next week meet up yeah? I'll have to bring aricyn around too if thats ok.
MM - I get LOTS of leaky information out of my head.. I just call it unuseful knowledge.. lol... didn't get much sleep here either last night if that makes you feel better!!!!
Sash - yay for the small gain ;) M gains about 100g a week I think..
Hello to everyone else *mwah*
Miss M decided to wake up at 4am - just chatting away merrily, not upset, not hungry.. just chatty... so we took her into our bed at around 4.30 - she dropped off at around 5.15am and then woke again when Aricyn hopped into our bed at 5.45am *yawn*
Was sooo funny this morning.. DS pulled the sheets off DH and said "oooohhhhh poo poo" (pointing at daddy's doodle)... pmsl... was soooo funny... we cracked it.. especially when he turned around and then said d.i.ck... absolutely hysterical... we're like.. did he just say what I think he just said... lol.. dunno where he got that word from
Anyhoo, better get back to work
vic i hope N hasnt had any bad reations to the needles you reminded me i have not had josiahs 4 month ones yet might get that done next week and ask them why i am have period pain type feeling so regulary yet no period just a brown spot and then a red one. Its doing myhead in any of you have any advice or thoughts? the cramps are not nice. And NOOOO i am not constipaited actually i have been weening my body of the extra fiber i had to take while pregnant and its going great only 1 teaspoon full dailey now rather than 5-7 of them yay.
sasha.. thats great about the weight gain i am pleased and deliighted for you u must be over joyed. well done
soon some off us will be in double digit weights hey wow!!!!
Pixie.. josh does same thing i gotta move fast to reasure him, normally i lay down with him chest to cheast and put dummie in. ya know he is still on the first dummie ever had he refuses all other types and ones. so that dummie has had a great work out :) thanks avent!!
MM sorry thekids played up for ya big hugs i so hear ya about week ends hubbie didnt have work this morning so i am still in bed now been loggin in to belly belly in feed times with josh and going back to sleep.
Gotta actually get up and fully dressed and start my day even tho i could sleep for what feels like 100 years. Josh is talking away t him self in hsi cot at the moment.
Cant wait for the kids to interact with him more this week as he is laughing and talking so much easier so they wil love it.
just another thing .....
thanks becka for letting me call ya it i miss my sis heaps and strangly it feels nice having some person to call that, i know that sounds weard and maybe creapy but i am honest :)
 Ahhh, little boys eh Mel! Next week sounds good, I'll put on my happy pants :) How does Aricyn go with Christmas tree's (ie does he pull them apart?) because I may have to toddler proof, ours is going up on Monday!
Leash - next week is good - will also put on happy pants ;) Dunno about him with a xmas tree - we don't "do" christmas, so we don't have a tree... and I dont' think mum or his other grandparents had one last year either.. might just shock him thats all.. he's pretty good if I tell him not to touch something (over and over forty THOUSAND times)
since josh is gaining weigh i havnt been logging exactly how long feed are everytime, altho he is feeding the last few days 9 times from me an 2 bottles that explains why i am tired hey! its nice to know he is gaining.
Squidipa, i have been logging Jazzy's feeds and for how long... Tuesday - 13 feeds, Wed - 11, Thurs - 15, Today - 6 so far... So I hear you on being tired! She was sick yesterday though...
leasha ur on more feeds than me i feel for u sweet!
I have been writing down K's routines too, thought it might be interesting to look back on when hes older.
Last sunday we took his first lot of footprints with paint hehe I decided that it would be kinda cool to look back on aswell. Did it on a plain piece of paper which I am going to glue into a hard book. going to make it a ritual that we do it every 4 weeks. I might even get crafty and turn it into a scrapbook LOL
Will do his hand prints aswell eventually, tried sunday but yeah it was just a mess as he hasnt quite grasped the whole 'i can open my hand' yet hehe
Just had Grace on her play mat while i answered the phone and she rolled over:baby: from her back over her left side onto her tummy ! she got her hands stuck under her tummy and basically just chewed the floor till i untucked them but i was very excited, and i she seemed quite pleased....or just confussed as to what all the fuss was about!
MT: how funny, we just said ''aslong as she isnt rolling at night you dont have to worry abuot teaching her sleep unwrapped'' and now she has started to roll. should i worry about her rolling over at night?
Mel - pmsl@ your DS!! It's amazing what kids come out with ... we have to watch ourselves, as Khaemon is an absolute parrot atm!! LOL! It's funny when kids say things so in context as well ... when DD was younger, she was having trouble one day pulling her boots on and she came out with "god damn mother f***ing son of a b****!" I pmsl for ages!!! LOL!
Bec - WOW for Grace rolling! Veygas tries to roll, it's more rocking from side to side atm, but he "back crawls" and uses his legs to spin himself around. LOL. I don't think Grace will try rolling while she's asleep, but if you're worried, maybe place a rolled up blanket beside her body to stop her if she does :dunno:
Oh and that funny wondering-why-they-are-wet feeling ... happened here the other day too, TWICE! Once with the baby and once with the toddler ... first time we'd had MCN blow-outs too! :o Admittedly, V hadn't done a poo for maybe 4 days, and K had eaten lots and lots of fruit! Fun times!
Leash & Mel - pmsl @ "happy pants"!!
Squidipa & Leash - I can associate with those frequent feeds from DS1! Master V is lucky if he feeds 5 times a day! But they are usually quite long feeds ...
Sash - the footprints ae a good idea!
Kel - yay for Allegra sleeping!
We had a bit of a scare today - when DP got up and into the bath, Khaemon decided to stay home with daddy while I went to get DD from preschool. When I got home, DP told me that as soon as I drove out the driveway, K got out the front door - DP found him up the road (lucky we live on a very quiet street!) ... he had tried to follow me cause he changed his mind :(
Hmmmm nice and quiet here right now, might just sit back, relax and enjoy it! :)
OMG I have finally got Beth to sleep she has been awake since 3pm! I was trying to get her to sleep earlier but kept getting interrupted - here is the rant I posted on the other thread:
GRRRRR!!! Integral Energy keep sending incompetent fools to my door trying to make me sign up to their electricity service, and all I want to know is how much will it cost through them and what's the catch (ie. does it get expensive after an introductory offer) well, they can't tell me that, can they? So I tried to get rid of him by saying I needed to talk to my husband and I need to put my baby to sleep so can you leave me something to read/ discuss with my husband? No. they didn't have any extra leaflets that they could leave with me. I'd just got rid of the idiot and started all over trying to put Beth to sleep when the IDIOT knocked on the door again and said could I call my husband? NO HE IS ON A PLANE FROM SINGAPORE RIGHT NOW!!@@ HE IS NOT CONTACTABLE AND I NEED TO PUT THIS BABY TO SLEEP!
At first I thought I was being a bit unreasonable, and then I thought, actually no I'm not. They have sent people round to tell me I can save money by changing suppliers and all I want to know is how much, but can they tell me that? NO. Can they give me a piece of paper so I can work it out in my own time? NO. did either of the idiots they sent around have so much as a calculator? NO. All they wanted to do was sign me up as quick as possible.
Anyway moving on......
MM scary about your DS getting out the front door! and  about the MCN blow-outs! and love the new ticker
sash - LOL about the hand prints
Leash, you poor girl!
Mel - LOL at your boy! what a crack up!
big :hello: to squiddy, kel, MT, SB, beck and everyone
pixie... Oh man, integral was the ones who came to my door that time, Jazz was screaming at me and he just kept going on so I shut the door on him. Honestly, what some people will do for a sale, I'd be surprised if no one has knocked out an Integral sales person!
Well we had a **** night last night... went to sleep at 7.30... up again at 9.30, 12.30, 3, and then up at 4... she's just gone down for her morning sleep but of course I am up now aren't I... It's 6.30am and stinking hot ALREADY, 26 degrees, so i couldn't sleep if I tried. Only had one sleep yesterday, after protesting it for 2 hours. Fed 13 times :o
On the plus side all this feeding has helped... I've lost 7.5kg since having Jazz... I'm 62.5kg now, Only 2.5 to go til i get to pre-pregnancy weight, and 6.5 to go to get to my ideal weight, which is BMI 23. YAY!
Want a giggle? ..... https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...91&ppuser=8407
We've had two blowouts this week... in disposables. First one was that pic... all over my sister  I had to put Jazz in a disposable from the nappy bag as my sis was asleep in Jazzy's room and thats where her cloth is. My sis got up and picked Jazz up and Jazz pooped everywhere and it exploded out of the leg... GROSS! Had another this morning, I'd just got her up and was getting dressed before I changed her and next minute I hear rumble, I pick her up and BLERK, poo all up her back. I hate disposables, I've never had that problem with cloth!
Looks like we are going to Tamworth in a few days, Shel's grandma is sick, yesterday the drs gave her 24 hours... well you never know, but looks like well be travelling down for her funeral. Driving too, yuck! Not looking forward to that!
Lesh: sorry to hear you had such a bad night, it is so hot here today isnt it!! and we live by the river so get a little bit of breeze! Grace is in just her nappy, under the ceiling fan which is on high and it still took me an hour to get her to sleep even though she has been up since 5!! you cant rock and cuddle when your both sticky and hot!!! not nice! wish it would just rain and cool down!!
Well done on the weight loss:dance:...i dont know what id have done if i was FFing, id still be the size of a house!!
Love the pic of your sis, that is an impresive blow out!!!
Sorry to hear about shels grandma.
Hope it cools down and makes it easier for everyone to have a sleep!!
:( Shel's nanna passed away at about 11am this morning, so we'll be making that trip to Tamworth this week, I think they expect the funeral to be Tuesday or Wednesday, so we're leaving tomorrow or Monday.
Will have to post-pone our get together Mel
so sorry to hear that!! :comfort:
