Hello girls. Was not too bad day, except pumpkin started to greezle and soo sadly give me long sentences of complains, putting her both hands in her mouth. I am thinking about teething? Who has got older bubs, how they started to teeth, what was the signs? Not really looking forward to teething period.
Today introduced brocoli with carrot - she was asking for more and more till her little plate was fully empty. I do not even count spoons anymore - just stop when she is not interested.
Beema, we had huggies in wa for 29.99 in iga, I think I bought about 4 boxes lol. Good saving in the end!
    Wish everyone lovely weekend! :*

Alicia- I think we are starting to get teeth here too- his hands are in his mouth 24/7 and drooling everywhere!! also he has started really chomping on my boobie during feeds! I have had a little oke around in his mouth and cant see anything yet- but i think deep in there something is going on for him!!

We started with some food yesterday!! DH has been absolutely ITCHING to start real food- as we dont hve our blender here yet- we have resorted to heinz, but that will change when we have all our kitchen things- he tried the prsni carrot and sweet potatoe and LOVED it!! Ate a whole half a jar!! But i have a few questions for experienced (or not so experienced) food feeders....

1... he hasnt poo'd for a few days, we tried some other food about 2 days ago- but wasnt too successful as we didnt heat it up and i wouldnt say he actually consumed much of it- but no poo for a few days.. is this normal when starting solids???? The ,longest we have gone with no poo before is a bout 2 days- he still has very wet nappies, and he is farting like a champion, but no poo!!

    2. We fed him the baby food at about 4pm and he was full of beans for the whole afternoon/evening!! Very happy mind you- but full of beans way past bed time!! Should i make a concious effort to feed him the food in the morning or a bit earlier than 4pm? He usually is up till about 8:30 or so with a nap at about 5:30 6pm, but he skipped his nap and was up till about 10:30!!! lol

oH ANd nappies.. bloody DH bought the wrong size!!!! DS is between 6-7kg and yes the packet says 4-8kg so DH thinks yeah perfect, but i find the sizing is a bit extream and he always grows out of the them before the packet says he will and i had been using the 5-11kg, which fit great- DH goes and buys the 4-8 kg and they are soo small!! Lucky he didnt bulk buy- only a pack of 48 and since they are so small and filling up very quick i am using them quickly and wont feel too bad when i buy the RIGHT size before the packet is finished!!! lol

Oh a bit oh wahoo... DS is sitting along for longer periods at a time, but another question.. he seems to lean forward alot for his balance- he puts his hands down infron tof him to stay up- should i be worried about posture yet- like should i try and get him to sit up straight or will that come in time?
Beema - thanks for the list!! I actually have most of that stuff bought for ds for xmas!! The blocks are plastic though, but they stack too- as well as the ring stacker!! He has a new teddy nanna gave him as a going away present whick he loves to snuggle with- and shove in his mouth lol but he is doing that with EVERYTHING lately!!! His hands, my hands, ANYTHING!!!! LOL

Well its playtime now- someone asked before about entertaining.. i have a playschool jungle playmat that ds loves to lie in- i have a number of different hanging toys i rotatefor him- and it plays music- but i dont always turn that bit on. i lay with him and play but he is also quite happy to lay there on his own and play- great for when i have to run and pee or eat or something quick like that. Lately i have been sitting him in there he loves it coz he gets to see and touch different things than when he is laying in it. I find the most fun time we have though is just talking to eachother!! DH and i can both talk underwater with our lips sewn up- and it seems DS has inherited our chatty ways!! We just have "conversations" or i sing to him and we dance- it can fill hours in a day!!!

    bye for now!!

look ive fallen off the ban wagon to hard to catch up..

SB when u start solids u slowly introduce them to bubs with a table spoon max a day for a few days and slowly increasing, thats what they say but usually mums know there bubs best. it takes a while for bubs body to work out the processing of the new food and this is why u start slowly or sometimes babies can get constipated. this is what i have aways done. i been giving josh licks of things once daily abouts for a while now.

welcome Aleisa. im kitty and i have 4 children aged 10,7.3, and Josiah welcome to the group sorry i havnt welcomed u earlier but been run off my feet. Aliesa if ur totally unsure about teething wait for the big drools thats always a give away, the hand in mouth helps and is a comfort and developmental thing so thats great u are at that step. Josh is usually having several wet bib changes daily drools mad he does, i can see this teeth below the gum just waiting now.

sorry i know i missing everyone out,

hey vic ya know yesterday i didnt even boobie feed now thats saying something, the boobs are soft and slight tender but thinking might try to force a feed today, I think i was drying up before i started.

Guys girls ladies i have left over tablets from script how should i dispose of them just in bin? they are the breastfeeding milk helper ones cant memba name?

Got all burnt yesterday i wen to the fun day in burpengary for the kids ds3 loved it met up with the other two and ex there also.

    my VENT!!

really feeling down about not enough sleep, hubbie snores real bad, doesnt get up to josh i dont mind getting up to him at 11, 2 and 5 but i wish he would take over at 6am but its alway to much of a ask or i have to try to sleep and listen to joshies cries, so i get up and take over. or i am interrupted all the time or listening to thumping going on round house.
i never get the opportunity to catch up on sleep and i am lucky to get 1 hour solid sleep at night! In between hearing the gecko's yeah they wake me the snoring of hubbie or him talking or growning in sleep. The humidity and waking to every movement, noise josh does and doesn't make, and getting up feeding setting him and the 2.30 and a rooster that starts from 2am PLUS i am sleeping as a sardine on my half of the bed with josh close up or else he wont sleep, i cant stretch or move or deep breath or fix a sliding pillow nope just laying there still all morning trying to sleep. Not to mention my back playing up and a swollen sore ankle that aches and throbs. Usually i have a headache to boot to. thats my vent!!!

o.k maybe not did anyone read my thread on all i want for christmas well here it is.....

    SLEEP uninterrupted i might add
showering and going toilet when i want or need to un interrupted and with out toddler or children lining up to say mom the second ya open the door or a baby wanting cuddles straight after. 2 mins after o.k
hot coffee and uninterrupted time to drink it hot in fuss free environment kids not annoying each other etc etc.
not having to ask to sleep eat drink when i want or need to, so some one else an take over.
able to eat a meal uninterrupted with out spectators eying it off and in peace and quiet fuss free.

thats my Christmas wish this year very selfish i know but thats my its MY WISH list, it so aint gonna happen but i can dream well maybe if i get the sleep

Hi to everyone And horray....4months for a few...including us....things seems to be changing everyday now. We are sure she is teething now, pretty grumpy, wont feed properly, chews ANYTHING she can get her hands on, i though DH had spilt something on her the other day as she was all wet but was drool!!! the gum is really hard and feels different to a week or so ago, i havent been able to look inside but DH says he can see a tooth right under the surface!!
DH has just had two 1/2 days off so been doing lots of things, went to see santa!! she loved it!!! Beach, nice walks, went to a friends house for a BBQ (but he has AC so that was my main reason for wanting to go )

Pixie: Cant belive Beth is sitting up at 3 months, DD is nowhere near having that much balance!! she looks so cute and v proud of herself!!

MM:Thanks for the advice, il try that and hope for the best! IKWYM about Bec Hewitt.. LOL...Whats the problem with these celebs!

SB: Hi. Grace has just started doing raspberries too...thats my new wake up call at 5am over the monitor!! Makes me smile! I cant imagine doing a big car trip with D, she sreams after 10 mins in the car!! uncontrolably!! We are getting a new car seat next week see if that helps, she is still in the capsual..Hopeing she is big enough for one of those sitting up ones. Is that what you have?

Squidipa: What can i say...BIG HUGS... sorry you are having a bad time!! i liked your christmas wish list, must be hectic with 4 kids..think we are going to try for one more (in a few years) and thats it...two is enough for me!

Well, looks like christmas is going to be busy this year, we have different people coming up from sydney to stay from the 18th dec to the end of jan!!!! not all staying at ours house, which is good....think id go abit crazy! but will be constant entertaining! but will be fun!

    Hope everyone is will....

    Hi all,

Just quickly popping in Mr K put on another 220 grams in a week..... and he still has this damn annoying runny nose oh and added another centimetre to his length so total weight is now 8850 grams and length 69cm.... cant say he aint thriving!!

Beckoes - K has been drooling hard out for a few weeks now and has only really been taking around 150-180ml per feed too. The nurse noticed friday he was dribbling alot and said "looks like hes cracking teeth" she tried to have a look but he was crackin' it as it was time for his bottle hehe so she didnt get a good look in. She told me to have a look but yeah I dont know what I am really looking for LOL He puts everything in his mouth too but I figured that was just the age he is.

I've just managed to get him sleep and guess what he has been asleep IN HIS COT for half an hour

Horrible weather here last night, huge storm. Got woken up this morning at 4:00am to the hugest crack of thunder. $hit my pants and was sure K was gonna wake too but nup he slept through it LOL More rain on its way, forecast for it to be like this till Monday or Tuesday. It's blowing a gale at the moment - rain is a comin' must go get my washing in!

    Toodles

Oh my god, cheer up! It should be easier soon! I simply kick hubby when he starts to snore he learn to find better position for his throat that would not bother me with his lovely sounds. Otherway, he will be kicked and woken up all the time till he let me fall asleep And yeah, he takes over on morning and pumpkin used to cry on him. Well, I decided to give him oppotunity to find out his way to settle her - otherway, she would be on my neck all the time! He figured out her quite well, and if she still cryes on him, he takes her for drive to let me sleep. Well, I guess this advice not much use when you have more than one kid.
Anyway, don't be depressed, and remember, our kids it is the best what could happen to us! For one hug and "mummy I love you" everything smears!

    Hello super quick one.
Squidipa- sorry to hear you are having very little sleep about the rooster you should call the council as they are NOT allowed one in suburban areas only rural you can have chooks on a block over 800sqm but not roosters lots of hugs
