    Morning

Feeling reasonable this morning, Nakita has cut the 5am feed out again :woot:, but has been cluster feeding in the afternoon and not sleeping during the day, unless she is on me! so getting work done has been difficult but we will get there.

Had my 6 week @ 8 weeks check yesterday with my OB, there was no reason for thed PPROM that could be foundm there were no infections with me, Nakita or the placenta, everything was in perfect working order. Next time.. and there will be a next time.. I will be monitored from 26-27 weeks as there is a 33% chance of it occurring again within a two week window of this PPROM (so between 31-35 weeks). Had the pelvic floor checked (no cheating with my OB!!) passed with flying colours, have a couple of scar problems, one spot the skin didn't heal flat instead was like a little cauliflower, so that had to be caurtorized with silver nitrate. The about an inch in I have a stitch that didn't dissolve We had tried to dtd before my app, but it was too painful, so she has given me so eostrogen cream to use tweice a day then to see if tht helps if not then I will have to go in have a local and get it snipped

Overall I was really happy with my OB throughout my pregnancy and beyond!!

We gave Nakita a quick weigh in and little tike put on 80grams, I didn't expect much, I thought we could have been heading to a loss she was feeling so light! So she is now a whopping 3190grams, exactly 1000grams over her discharge

MM - I designed the house and left the tricky stuff with the architect

    Squidipa

Hooray for spending the day outdoors with Veygas - we had our first outside BF on Monday and it was lovely!!

Hi to all the other mums and bubs hope to hear from ya soon!

Well I am off, got a friend coming over at 7.45am she is going to look after Nakita and is sending me back to bed - woo hoo!!

    good morning everyone
Yay - Beema great to hear your OB appointment went well. and what a top friend coming over to let you sleep! Sounds like Nakita is doing really well.
Squidipa honey you really need to get some sleep..... seems like you haven't slept properly in a while!
Thanks for the tips on the creams.... I thought of sorbolene but I looked at the ingredients of the Johnson's sorbolene (although MM I couldn't find the one in the green bottle) - one of the main ingredients is petrolatum... I don't like the sound of that. I don't take my baby to the bowser and smear her with unleaded, so why would I want to rub her with petrochemical byproducts! We have been massaging her with baby oil, and that seems to be helping but I'm going to see if I can find something a bit more natural.
Bear has posted some new pics of Beth on our web gallery 2 Weeks
hi to kiwigirl, StarBright, Mel (I hear she's offline at the moment) have a great day

    HI everyone

Yay, its only been 4 days since last time I was on. Sleeping like a baby, too bad its still during the day. Little cheeky bum cried everytime I laid down in bed this morning after her 6am feed, so I got up and she bloody well went to sleep didn't she. Of course, when I tried to lay back down *bam* off she goes again, it was ridiculous, like she wanted more room in the bed or something, so I just got up. Checked my account and YAY baby bonus has arrived Time for a new vacuum cleaner. Among other things!

My new medicare card arrived yesterday too so cute to see her name on my card!

I am healing really well, no pain. I get really tender if we go shopping and I walk too much, but that won't stop me I have 5-6kg to lost to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, and about 10kg to lose to get back to my pre-fertility treatment weight of 56kg (which is apparently the perfect weight for my height). Can't wait until I get the all clear from the dr so i can start exercising again. I'm so tired but I just want to move. Just sick of being so immobile, which is mainly thanks to velcro baby, I feel like all I'm doing is sitting on the couch (new couch BTW!) feeding her or rocking her.

Feeling much better emotionally though. Guess my body is getting used to minimum sleep! Still a bit frustrated, especcially at someone who doesn't go back to work until September 16, but sleeps through the night waking anyway. Well, tries to. I usually make sure she knows i am awake. I won't do it when she goes back to work but geez its annoying when I'm awake all night and then she sleeps in most days too. Like she's been up all night!

Well, should probably go, Jazz will wake up soon wanting a feed and I was hoping to sneak in a shower before she does (not like a certain someone who decides to shower right on dinner time and leaves me with cooking dinner AND a trying to deal with a whingey sooky baby... but anyway, no use complaining to you guys huh!). Then we'll go shopping. I'm finding it hard to be selfish and think of something I would like. I am feeling guilty enough spending $50 on myself for some new feeding bras which I NEED.

Ok, well gonna read some posts and jump in the shower before she wakes up. I have read all the threads hello to everyone How selfish do I feel, I'll write personals soon I promise!

Rushing in a quick post, got an extra 1 1/2 sleep (sort (really dozing) got up again at 9:30, jumped in the shower, downed some oats and a glass of milk, little miss is stiring in the front room, just waking up, right on feed time she's a better alarm clock than my own!

Leasha - I totally hear you with the "sleeping" of the other half, OMG it is exactly the same here *sigh* they have NFI!!!!

The Pixie - I have to find another sorbelen (Chemart brand) as I have just realised it has the petrochemicals in it, my mum bought it, glad I have only used it twice, off to the shops after this feed. Not a fan of J&J here, although I am using their wipes atm..... beth is beautiful

Eekk she's awake must run ciao

Leasha, honey, just take it one day at a time. It's cool to come here and vent - I bet some of us can associate with how you're feeling!! I usually start getting dinner ready at around 2pm, so then I can dish it up for the tribe and then get to dealing with Veygas (bath, feed, settle, bed) while they eat. It is hard, especially on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, when DP is home sleeping to go to work those nights, and also on Saturdays when DP gets home in the morning and has breakfast and goes straight to bed and I have to try and keep all the kids quiet plus get all the housework etc done .... needless to say, the dishes have gone by the wayside and atm, I am only washing what we need as we need it!!

Vic - Glad your check up went well! I hear you with the little monkey not sleeping during the day! I fed Veygas about half an hour ago, settled him and put him to bed, and I can now hear him (through the monitor) stirring, and would you believe it, my boobs have started to leak (like he needs ANOTHER feed!! NOT!)

Squidipa - hun, I'm sorry you're not sleeping well. Have you tried having a nap when Josiah is sleeping (and your 3 yr old is in care)? I know it's not easy, but sometimes even 20-30 minutes can make the world of difference!

Hi to all the other mums and bubs!!

hehehe, DP is the only one who picks up the camera cause I wouldn't have a clue how to use it!! Pity he's hardly home though

Although I must say, I have taken a few VERY bodgy photos!!

I agree with the photos, I have very few of Nakita and I in the early days I think just me gavage feeding her

I am making an effort now to get others to take photos!

I just put Nakita in her Baby Carrier and she loved it today (we tried yesterday but she was upset so not a good move, she stayed awake for the walk to the shops and fell asleep on the way home, so I will keep her in it until her next feed - she technically shouldn't be in it until she is 3.5kg, but she fits okay, and I have waited more than 8 weeks anyway!!!

Must runa nad make some lunch while I can and hopefully I cand do some work this afternoon.

    Hi Everyone!!

We have been having some fun here- Shane has started having some "happy' awake time where he is quite content to lie there playing with his hands and making funny faces!! He has even started showing some interest in the hanging toys on his bouncer- we spent some time out side too!! Its lovely!!

MM... I was lucky- my mum works at a pharmacy and they had some left over innoxa stock- they have stopped making it- but i got a great set of nappy rash cream, baby massage oil, the nipple cream and stretch mark cream- it is all really good- its a pity they dont make it anymore!!
On such a good weight gain!! Well done Veygas!!

Beema.. Glad you were proven wrong and nakita did have a weight gain!!
What is PPROM??? How nice is your friend!!!! I hope you enjoyed your sleep in!!!!!

Squidipa... I'm sorry you are still not feeling right.... is there anyone you can call on to give you a hand with Josh during the day so you can possibly get some much needed rest????? Like i have said beofre- i am coping JUST with the whole lack of sleep up every 3 hours for an hour at least thing- and thats without having to run after a toddler at the same time!! I think you are doing an amazing job- and you are surely due some much warrented help!!!!

Pixie... Very cute pics!! i love the one in the bath with her eyes so wide open!! little Shane gets that look alot too!!!

Leesha... Great to hear jazz is sleeping better for you!! Even if it is just during the day, i find it hard to rest during the day though- even if i have had a bad night- i just cant sleep during the day!!
I hear you on your sleeping partner!! Mine is still home too- and his only job at night is to put wood on the fire- takes all of five mintues- and he had the nerve to complain about how effected his sleep was at night!!!! Saved himself from a whack on the ear by adding- "but i know your up for longer...." although i will give him his credit for last night- Shane didnt want to settle after his 2am feed, i tried everything but no avail- eventually daddy woke up and took over and had him settled and asleep in half an hour.. so he is good for something!! lol Oh and he has no trouble sleeping during the day, he gets to sleep most of the night- and then still manages a nap during the day too!!! Mind you again- i need to give him credit- he has been doing majority of house work as i am like you leeasha- glued to the couch (slash bed for us- we are living studio style!! bed in lounge room!!)

Wake up time!! Hope everyone is having a good day!!

I am feeding josh and typing now.
star bright..... we dont know anyone in qld to get some rest. Last night was none the diff me on the couch all night while everyone else slept well in the house. the 3 year old is up at 5am. Its hard to get josh off to sleep with out me and my chance i did have was screwed up as someone unplugged the night light and i had to try to sort that out one handedly. Josh woke up so that was that!!! Didnt help he has a cold and some times sounds like he is struggling to breath so had to have him upright. Was hoping last night to put him in pram some what upright but as is aid that failed with someone unplugging the night light and one handedly doing it woke josh. that was the time he actually goes down for a while at night.

Josh doesn't sleep like all of your bubs. never for a solid period giving me time away it always 20 mins here and there or longer on me.

the other night i woke and i had one hand on josh's tummy and my head on the side of the bassinet and my body was all twisted. Talk about the typical momma sleeping position with a new born.

I feel like crap again. at least i got to eat yesterday enough. I need a shower bad. My hair is all matted up last time brushed was Saturday. And i have been in the same clothes since Saturday. Been driving kids to school and picking them up in my pj's and smelly old dressing gown. My legs just seem to ache constantly now much much much WORST at night and the cramping in the tummy is still there my throat feels like razors and i constantly have a head ache. need to see dr but just no time it seems cant seem to keep on top of all this crap at home. Let alone see a r. havnt had a dr check up since hospital didnt do the 1 week thing no time. As it can take up to 3 hours to see and wait for dr. One thought as to why my tummie hurts and cramps so much is maybe the stretching with the washing or the lifting baskets. Normally i cant do this as it causes discomfort but its like theres to much to do these days and hubbie doesnt have enough time to do it. Heck im so busy hubbie isnt even talking to me much these days. I brought some things up the otehr day and still waiting on his opinion to come back to me this can take days or weeks sometimes months or nothing let hope thats not the case this time.. I think he was going to chat abut stuff Tuesday night but i fell sleep on couch VERY EARLY all twisted up on single couch with josh with legs hanging everywhere. that sleep came to a sudden end when i asked hubbie to put josh to bed for me as i had been busting to pee for 3 hours but didnt want to wake josh. Then that was that i was up josh awake and everyone else was fast asleep!!! AGAIN! when hubbie gets back from work in evening he normally serve's up whatever ive made or pre made for kids and eats with them then its a bed time for them. Not long after that hubbies in bed between 9-10 and out door at 5 am. We have not found a balance and seems hubbies hours and to do list on a personal front is getting bigger so its never the same layout on a day.

i totally missed out on enjoying the 1 month birth of josh just slipped my mind feeling ripped off i forgot GRRRR at self this totally TICKS ME OFF!!!!!!! BIG TIME!

hi to every one sorry being selfish here no time for personals hope your all good got 4 kids to organize. hope your all o.k

    Hi everyone!

We have been out looking at cars the last two days and then in the evening I've been so tired from being out all day. But the great news is we have a new car as of yesterday afternoon yay! It is a silver Mazda Familia SP 20. I haven't been for a drive in it yet since DH has to fit the car seat.

First night last night that I put Eli to bed at 7pm and he didn't want to be up and velcroed to me which was nice. We watched a DVD while he slept... I almost fell asleep watching it but it was nice to have some time for the two of us

I've started expressing by hand an ice cube amount every day or other day so I can give him a bottle once a week. Want to go to an awards evening in a month's time so hopefully can get sorted by then.

    squidipa and leasha: *big hugs*

Hi everyone else... man I need more time to write to you all on here but want to have a shower and get organised before Eli wakes up again.

Kel - we're missing you too hun!

Squidipa - Sweetie, I'm so sorry you're having a hard time ... sometimes I wish I was just around the corner from you so I could pop over and give you a hand!

Rachel - YAY for your new car!!

We had a shocker last night! Veygas was so good all day, I got ALL of the dishes done while he slept (about a week's worth! eek!) I got 2 loads of washing done and he also had a little bit of "happy awake" time in his rocker ... it was so nice outside that we even spent about 10 or 15 minutes in the sun! (him in his rocker outside while I took washing off the line!)

But last night, I dished everyone's dinner up after DP left for work (this happens around 4.30 - 5pm), and started on my usual routine of bathing Veygas, feeding, settling and putting him to bed. Well, the other kids were making so much noise, the older 2 making the little one cry, Veygas wasn't settling cause he could hear all the noise, and I was trying not to lose the plot so that he wouldn't pick up on my angry vibe! Close to 6pm, I thought he was settled enough to put him down (he appeared to be asleep!) and I had to get the others bathed and ready for bed (mind you, I still hadn't had dinner yet!) Came downstairs to find Khaemon had been standing on the filter and playing in the fish tank! (yes full of water) His arms and sleeves were soaked! Not only that but the kids had also helped themselves to the leftovers which were to have been my dinner. On top of this, Veygas started screaming, but I had to get the others in bed ... Khaemon I put straight to bed after his bath and he was asleep within 2 minutes. Then the other 2 were being noisy so it was about 7.30pm before Veygas finally settled and went to sleep! Exhausting!

OK, so that's my b!tch for the day, cause we actually didn't have too bad a night after that! Still getting used to 6am starts every day (cause if I get up any later, I don't get everything done that needs to be done before the school run!)

Katti - can't believe that Innoxa stopped the mother and baby range

Pixie - the Johnson's cream is called "baby soothing naturals" - it's a light olivey green coloured tear drop shaped bottle with a darker green lid. I get it from the supermarket in the baby aisle. It's also dermatologist tested and approved. I have to admit though that I haven't actually sat and read all of the ingredients

Well, now that I have been backwads and forwards to this post for the last hour or so, I think I might post it!

MM I found the green one in the supermarket yesterday and the ingredients actually look OK - but it was a bit expensive so maybe next time.....
Rachel - for the new car!!!
trying to get some housework done today and so far so good..... but need to get on with it before DD wakes up. Going to friend's for dinner tonight so not sure how that will go as DD has been a bit unsettled in the evenings. I think I have worked out the problem, but can't really be sure until she gets through an evening without being unsettled.....
kel, Beema, StarBright and everyone ....
ETA - about the photo thing, the Bear and I both take lots of photos, but for the first few days I wasn't too keen on being photographed, I had so many burst blood vessels in my eyes that I looked like a crack addict! LOL but now they have cleared up I have been asking the Bear to take more photos of me and Beth. I don't want to be the only one who doesn't get photos with her!

Yeah, I found it a bit on the pricey side too, but you really don't need to use alot, and I found it soooooo worth it, cause Veygas looked so dry and cracked all over, like he was peeling after a really bad sunburn!

on the upside of my day i got the new zealand stat dec's today!
Hooray, that must ease your mind a bit!

I was changing the sheets on all the beds earlier, and remembered that Kaliah has been totally dry in the mornings for about 2 weeks now, so I am going to eliminate the night time pullups!! Now I just need to get Khaemon to show some interest in toilet training He knows that everyone else (except the baby of course!) uses the toilet and alot of times he'll come in with any one of use (the other kids included!) but when we say "Khaemon go to the toilet?" he laughs and says no! But he'll name all of us and say that we go! Oh well, I'm sure he'll come around

ETA: This only took me an hour and a half to post!! LOL!
