Hi girls! Congrats and happy six (+7!) months to all our gorgeous babies!

I have had a MAD week. Sooo much on with work and friends coming over I was often up till 2am last week. I find it easiest to do work in the evenings when E's asleep.

Yay for Kye rolling over!! A couple of days after he did, E started to, yay! He only does tummy to back but I don't mind. He's desperately trying to crawl but needs to lift his big tummy up hahah. He's started solids now for a week, and straight away he started sleeping through the night again. I wish I'd done it straight away when he started waking. Ah well, hindsight eh.. next time I'll know better

Will try and get on here more this week and do personals..

very tired and grumpy today!! grace was awake every two hours again( fourth night)!! wouldnt be so bad if i could get back to sleep right away after, but always takes me half an hour to get back to sleep, so after getting up, settleing her, then myself, i get about an hours sleep then she is awake again!!
just managed to have a nice shower so feel abit more human! and she is asleep now!
She has started doing this wierd cry, sounds like she is constipated but she isnt, or atleast i dont think she is, ( had one yesterday....i miss the breast milk poos!! dont like these new "food poos'' TMI i know, lol, sorry)

KIWI, you say E has been on solids and is now sleeping through, how many meals is he eating in the day, and what sort of things?
We started G, but she only has lunch and normaly just veg/fruit, no baby rice/farex, she doesnt like it. wondering if i should be giving her more, didnt think she was ready but might try. Yay for the rolling BTW!!!

hi beckoes! E has up to 6 (baby) spoonfuls 2-3 hours before I put him to bed as his dinner. It's usually baby rice + banana for dinner. About 10-11am I give him as little or as much as he wants (up to about 4 baby spoonfuls?) of a new food, and change it every 2-3 days. So far I've tried kumara, potato, carrot and he likes them all yay! He *loves* fruit to suck on like strawberry (found out after he'd had it a few times you're meant to wait with berries, oops!), nectarine and peach.

I saw the plunket nurse last week for his checkup and she suggested the plan I'm on. It worked instantly so I wish I'd done it earlier (only had 10 days with him waking 2-3 times a night but could have been solved instantly!).

kiwigirl do you cook the peach and nectarine or do you just give it raw? do you mush it up?

well the Bear has gone to Singapore for the rest of the week, and DD is fast asleep already! I was going to put her to bed at 7 but she was so exhausted she fell asleep at 6.15.
Guess I can take it easy for a while might have an early night, a bit knackered myself!

Happy and 6 and 7 months for our bubs! How can they be this old already???I have already noticed a change in Jett in this last week. Seems much more contented, very curious about everything and practicing all his new skills! He has now learnt the letter 'B'. So along with all the ahh, ehh, ohh, ooh sounds we now have 'bob' and 'bub'. Very cute, he is starting his own language which only he and the fan and his toys can understand!!

I am sitting in the car at the moment while Jett has a well earned nap, I kept interrupting him today...poor thing!

Kiwi girl joshie loves kumara altho i am not sure if nz kumara will live up to his standards but ill try over there. Im very eager to see what he thinks. Our kumara is a very sweet i comparesion.

MT , all those new noises sound great, G has just started making a low 'uh' kinda noise which she seems to do when she is excited about something!
Managed to have a sleep this arvo which saved the day!! couldnt do that with two kids so guess il amke the most of it while i only have one!! but got heaps of house work to do now g has gone to bed!!
KIWI: G loves the sweet fruit aswell! but i mix them with the veggies otherwise shed never eat the potato/carrot etc. might try a bit a few hours before bed tomorrow. see how she goes.

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it has taken this long to get connected, but considering we had to change providers totally (and I absolutely REFUSE to go to toolstra! lol) .... aaaahhhhh it's good to be back!

Talk about everything happening at once though ... along with the move, Veygas now rolls EVERYWHERE and has cut his first tooth - bottom right one! He also loves being on his tummy now and can almost get his knees up under himself!

We had a couple of unsettled nights when we first moved, due to beds not being assembled etc, but once he was back in his cot in his own room, he has been an absolute angel! Master K spent the first almost 2 weeks sleeping in bed with me (or with us when DP was home) but now prefers his own bed as well - MINUS the safety rail!

Miss K started kindergarten last week, and golly gosh the house is quiet with 2 of them at school!!! Still so much to get done to have this house looking presentable though! On the plus side, we are getting our whole bond back from our last place, which is good cause we need to get a new oven for our new place!!

I did read all of the posts from the last 2.5 weeks, but have absolute buckleys of remembering or replying to any of them, sorry I feel like I have my sanity back though!!

Anyways, still heaps to do, but now I can pop on at will again, so I'm happy!

MT humph - some night off! she woke up at 7ish and is STILL vocalising away in her cot after being up for 2 hours and having boobie about 3 times... this high maintenance evening behaviour is really annoying me.... it makes it so hard to have dinner before 10pm... anyway that's my whinge

MM great to see you back! we missed you too.... yay for V's rolling, and tooth!
kiwigirl cool, DD loves sucking on fruit too..... although she doesn't seem to mind vegies. Yesterday she gummed a piece of broccolini half to death. but today I gave her broccoli and she didn't seem particularly interested in it. The only real difference was the broccolini was from our plate so it had salt and pepper... I wonder if that was it?
I gave her broccoli and carrot but she didn't take an interest... for the BLS mummies, if bub doesn't take an interest do you give something you know they will eat? I considered giving her bread afterwards but then I thought I don't want to start offering different things.... if she doesn't like it she doesn't like it and we'll try again another time.
anyway, rambling now, should get to bed, walking tomorrow at 8!

thepixie - I just bite off the skin and hold the piece of fruit (raw, whole) for him and he loves sucking on it. We have been eating lots from our trees so it started off with him grabbed them off me

MT - yay that he's learnt "B"! E said that for a while, latest one he's been doing is "Th" which has been so cute!
