    Hi all!!

Going to be a stinker here again today and tomorrow, 43 and 41, I am sooo sick and tired of the heat, can't wait until late tomorrow/Sunday when the cool change finally hits, it has been a long couple fo weeks with this insane heat!! My poor garden is totally fried

Our pool was supposed to be poured today, and the pool builder called me at 3pm yesterday and told me that I had to be there all day and water the pool every half an hour due to it being a 43 degree day I was soooo P**** O** I ended up ringing the boss int he office and then he gave me the phone number for the Director and I called him and said it was ridiculous I cannot do that in 43 degree heat, with a 7 month old and have no where cool to be during the interim!! GRRRR. He said it wasn't necessary, then 15 min late I got a call back from the Site Supervisor, he had just had a call from the office boss and then the Director (hehe) and they cancelled the pour and are doing it on Monday when it is going to be 25 degrees!! I guess if you aren't happy just keep goinng higher until you get what you want, at least in the end sanity prevailed

Can't stay long got stuff to do got a list of jobs to achieve by the end of the day... yay LOL! We cancelled mothers group as it is too hot, so I am home all day - yipee!!!

    Have a fab day!!

    xxoo

Happy 6 months Jazz and Jett. Yay for the tooth aswell V...two!!

So we seem to be in a pattern with the sleeps now, bed at 6, up between 10 and12 for a quick feed, then awake at about 3 for fun and games!!! Asleep again after almost exactly an hour and up at about 6.30-7 ish. this has been the same for four nights!! dont know if it will just pass, orif im putting her to bed to early or too many day sleeps, i feed her as soon as she wakes up, but she is so awake, then after about an hour i feed her again and she goes to sleep, maybe i shouldnt be feeding her so much then? a friend said she gave hers water at night from about 6 months and they soon realised it wasnt worth waking up for? not sure what to do...guess il just wait it out!

i saw the weather report this morning and thought i bet everyone in Ad and Vic are really looking forward to sunday!!! from 43 to 25 overnight!! would be such a relief for you! how do the bubs cope in that heat?? hope you all have AC!!
And it will be super hot in parts of NSW this week too....This heat wave better not carry on up the coast! if it reaches the sunshine coast...im outta here!!!

    hi to all!

    Good morning ladies!!!

I had a HUGE wahoo moment last night (well actually early this morning) DH put DS to sleep!! Well he took him to bed and within minutes they were both asleep!! Thats the first time EVER he has gone from wide awake to asleep without boobie (or being in the car or pram!!) and he didnt fuss or cry at all!! I heard Dh singing to him and then there was just this magical SILENCE!!! I went in and checked and sure enough they were both sound asleep!!! I am soooo excited!!! It may never happen again lol but i will be trying it again for sure!!!

Beema- nah sorry mate- i have done enough packing lately!! lol Good luck with it though!!

Squidipa- I hope Joshie is back to his normal self soon!! Oh and S has a love hate relationship with his pram and car seat lol some days he is happy to sit in it and play- other days he arches his back and just doesnt want to get in it!! Some days when i go shopping or something i am often left holding him and pushing an empty pram!!

To everyone!! Just a quick one from me- i am off to go back to bed!!

Oh but another quick thing.. ds is doing the cutest thing... he has these block things i suppose you can call them- they are like round bowls, but they all link up together to make a big tower- each block a bit smaller than the other- ANYWHO- i have been using one of the big ones and holding it infront of my face and "hiding" ds loves it!! I say "where is mummy" then i pull it away and say There I am !! And i do it to him too- well the smart little bugger has been doing it himself now!!!! He picks it up and holds it infront of his face while i say "where has shane gone?" and he waits AGES.. lol then pulls it down with a HUGE grin and i say "there he is!!!"

Just had to share coz it is soo darn cute!!!

Hope everyone has a fab day!!

    Hey everyone,

Just a super quick one for me! Sorry I have been MIA. We had major power issues last week, so for 3 days had absolutely no power! So major they were working until after midnight on our problem!!

So since then I have been busy catching up on all the things that got put off while we had no power such as washing, vacuuming, and general other stuff.

Sorry I really haven't had a chance to catch up on this thread so I don't really know what is happening, but I hope all is well and all your bubs are continuing to be the apples of your eyes!

SB - Kye has these too, got given them for Xmas from a friend and he plays with them for hours, loves them! I do a similar thing with a towel with K and he has started playing peek-a-boo - IT IS cute!

Well K's sleeping is still all up the $hit at night. I am trialling getting him to sleep by himself. Daytime is no problem but night well, still a bit of a mission at the moment but I'm persevering with it for the next few days in the hope he will learn it as a habit and save me some trauma in a few months time LOL

Oh and a funny thing, I checked him twice last night and he was asleep on his side put himself there so I'm guessing he is more comfortable like that

Anyways jobs to do while he is asleep so must run

Hope everyone has a great day!

They are great arnt they Sacha!! S loves them to bits and its handy coz there are so many of them we have some in the cra- some in the cot ans some in the lounge room!! lol He hasnt worked out how to put them all togther yet- but he still plays with them!!

Nights are crap here too!! We were on such a good wicket there for about 3 weeks- he would have inner/play/bath/bed... but now we get to the bed bit and he almost falls asleep and then wakes up ready to play again!! My friend has said its normal for this age as they are starting to take more of their surroundings in and they just want to explore- i hope it ends soon!!!!

I have started (as of last night lol) trying to skip his afternoon nap and doing the dinner/bath stuff earlier so he may sleep- didnt exactky work- except that he was at least settled by 10 instead of 12!!!!! (and thats with starting ddinner at 5:30!!!!!) He is sleeping fine during the day- a few hours at a time for one sleep and usually about 40 mintues for another- so i guess i will just keep perservering!!

MT... Bugger about the power outage!!! How did you cope????!!! Lots of candles i bet!!

2girlz... How cute!!! I am jealous- my mum made me wait til i was 13 to get my ears peirced!! I have since let them close up (ironic considering how much i BEGGED to get them done in the first place!!) and i have just recently been thinking about getting them re done!! I didnt get a photo- lol i didnt want to risk waking them up with the flash!! lol

Vic... has it been two weeks yet???????? Any clues???????

Well we gotta go take Daddy to work- oh and a little grrrrrr i am supposed to declare dh's income to centrelink for our pp, and usually i get nothing anyway- but this fortnight he was off due to an injury and the darn website is down!!!!!!!!!!!! Typical!!!!!!!!!

    Big hello's to everyone!!!!!!!!!

I hope it ends soon too - I'm off to NZ next Wednesday, hopefully that won't make his sleeping outta wack too much!

He is sleeping fine during the day- a few hours at a time for one sleep and usually about 40 mintues for another
SB - LOL thats exactly what Kye is doing for his day sleeps. This morning he slept from 7:30am till 9:00am and then has his afternoon sleep around 1:00pm - he's asleep now so it will be interesting to see if he sleeps another hour and half, most days he does! I think he is starting to get the message re: settling himself which is great - he self settled again for this nap. He's crashed out on his side again

I too, have experimented with the time I give him his dinner and either way it doesnt seem to make much difference. Last night however he had an early dinner (about 4:30pm), bottle at 6:15pm, read books after that; wasnt tired so I didnt push it, put him in his cot at 7:30pm and he self-settled and slept till 9:00pm (with a couple of wakeups) bottle at 9:00pm then he slept till this about 4:30am this morning so I think I am going to try the same thing again tonight.

Anyways sandwhich is a-calling while I can LOL

    Toodles!
