We have a session at the WCH tomorrow with the Physio (a part of prem playgroup), and going to my friends house Friday afternoon for a physio session with her as well.

We FINALLY have decent internet OMG it is superfast, we are the first customers on the new Optic Fibre system here in Adelaide, the company came out today to do some minor adjustments to get it all working and they even bought a lovely bottle of Vintage Champage... nice ;)

i left my nappies on the rack last night and they all damp now GRRRR they tke 2-3 days to dry in this cooler weather. Tis k i have about 10 here dry and i also have one wet load of about 13 to hang out too. These days, its like there is 2 wet lots out at a time.

last night i bought some fleece liners and night boosters for joshie for the day actually for the bbh bamboo fitted's there not as good as the magical on joshie. As since he has grown we are now out of 8 medium nappies so only about 13 in circulation.

Well I just got the call to confirm I go back to work on 29 June..... :crying: I've been in denial for so long.... I can't bear the thought of being away from her for 3 days a week!
I was so sure that they were going to make me redundant.... I could cry! We went out for 3 hours for the Bear's birthday dinner the other night and it was so hard being away from her. We spent nearly the entire time talking about her! :crying: :crying: :crying:
Vic hope it goes well with the physio. :hug: The cake sounds good... We have started thinking about Beth's party, but still trying to come up with a theme for the cake and the invitations. We are trying to think of something she likes but electrical cables, belts, shoes, remote controls and phones don't really make attractive cakes! Neither do toilets, one of her current obsessions! Also have to get started on her photo book since time is running out until I have to go back to work!

aww must be hard having to go back to work the first time i was away from kids i was so lost i didnt know what to do with myself i hated sending them to school i sat on the couch looking at the clock i was so sad..
joshie and beth are around same size actually every time i see that pic of beth i think is that joshie as he has a very similar top too.

Oh thepixie I sooooo hear you about going back to work! I am going back for 2 days a week starting July 6. I can't bear the thought how close it is :( Not a long term thing though for me IYKWIM.

It's almost a week till we go away on holiday to Hawaii YIPPEEEeee! I am so needing a holiday in the sun!!!! Can't wait!!!!!

E has another mini cold again. I think he was struggling to breathe with his snuffly nose and he bit me for the first time 3x today!!!!! ARGH. Felt like little needles, seriously not like being bitten anywhere else OW. He only has two too. I gently pulled his ear and he cried and then I felt bad. My friend suggested doing that but now I'm not so sure??

Everything is going great. Jett is such a happy little boy at the moment and very affectionate. Just giving me such yummy cuddles! Other than that not much to report!

Well not much to report here... thanks everyone for your comments on the walking video :lol: We're obviously super proud of her! Was a bit disappointed in my RL Mum's group - she was walking around last week when we had our usual get together and every time they all seemed to be looking the other way... only one of them even said anything... the parents at playgroup all noticed (and lots of their bubs are older and still not walking) and said Wow so don't really know why they were so weird about it :rolleyes: anyhoo that's my little whinge!

Been around, but been slack in posting in here.

:happyforyou: For all the walking :o The videos are just gorgeous.

Nakita is on the mend now, she is a completely different baby to what she was last week, she was just not herself at all, and I hate hearing her struggle to breathe, there are soooo many respiratory problems going around.

She lost a bit over 400grams, and since she has started to feel better the only food she will eat is by feeding herself, which is cool, I jsut sit her up in the high chair with a heaps of food and leave her to it. New favourites are home made hot cakes and apricot (dried)

Another friends bub ended up in WCH with Bronchiolitis and is still in there on O2 and IV, it is sooo very scary, especially knowing how close we were to being in there ourselves, and Kel having been in recently too. The hospital is overflowing with children with respiratory problems, I am really hoping that we are at the end of it :(

Had a shocking week, got a couple of threads about it, thanks Pixie and Squidy :hug:

Feeling like crap today, might be coming down with something :(

Wish I had something more positive to post!!!

hey everyone,

Hope everyone had a good week end we went to the zoo and the kids had a GREAT day :) Josiah and kids were fantastic!!!!!!! we spent form 9.30-5pm there:)

dunno if i got round to telling you all but joshie will be having that op to fix his winkie we are on a waiting list. so will be done with in 3 months. Mixed feelings here after all that but glad it will be more normal looking not happy about the anesthetic. and only being a day surgery we should be over the moon but im not.

Joshie sleeps straight through night most nights now and its sooo good its more consistent than the few sleep through then not. He now weighs 9.985 grams and im finding his bbh bamboo aio fitted's arnt fitting him GRRRRRR well they are but its hard to get them on GRRRR as we own around 14 of these. He is pulling hims elf up everywhere.

This morning got snapped eatting his cot i could hear this grinding sound in the dark lol thought it may have been a mouse but nope it was josiah :rofl: Josiah grinds his 3 teeth all the time and grr its annoying does anyone else have this issue?

We also got snapped :doh:the other day in bed and realized joshie was watching us and what a strange feeling that was:wall::rolleyes:

Just a quick update from me, we had Nakita's appointment with the physio at the hospital today.

And well I am glad that I brough up my concerns and got the referral, I don't feel like I was over reacting now :redface:

Nakita has been diagnosed (I hate that word as it makes her sound sick!!) with Hypermobility, so basically she very flexible/too flexible, and her muscles, ligaments and tendons are weak/lose/floppy. Which means she has to work a lot harder than a person with normal muscular control to be able to do certain types of movements.

So things that require the use of stabilising muscles, she is good at like standing still and sitting upright, but anything of a transitional movement such as rolling, moving from sitting to on the floor, climbing over things, pulling herself up etc are very hard for her.

We did the gross motor skills chart to see how she scored to get an idea where she was on the charts (another bad word :lol:), to create a benchmark. She scored at 27, and based on her corrected age of 10 months she wasn't even close to the bottom of the chart :( She is the equivalent of an 8 month old on the 5th%ile, which is a bit scary :o
but I am happy having a starting point IYKWIM.

All in all it was a very positive experience, the physio we had was just gorgeous lovely woman, we are really thrilled with Jane!!

We have a range of exercises to work on to improve her muscle strength, and transition movements, and we have piccies to take to daycare as well, and I will run them through the exercises next week, they have already been doing the ones we have asked so far.

I am little bit frustrated as if we had stayed under the WCH system and not transferred private that it would have been picked up/addressed sooner as we would have been monitored more closely by her original Paed, where as we were discharged from her Paed at 6 months, but we cannot look at that now, my focus is on Nakita from now on in :)

So all in all I am happy, I am glad that I followed my insticts and sought the referral. :D

Nakita's first top tooth (on the left hand side arrived overnight) accompanied with a very unsettled night, the one next to it looks like it will burst very soon, too, hopeing that it is over and done with quickly!!

Vic I read this on your other thread... :cheer: glad you've got a physio you love and a way forward! You sound a lot more positive too.... hope you feel better after taking some time for yourself. and :leap: for the tooth!
Not much to report here, sleep has been very bad this week, I think there are more teeth coming but can't get in her mouth to look. Don't feel I've accomplished anything this week, and still in denial about returning to work Monday week :crying:
At least I got my hair done this morning so that was good..... anyhoo, gotta run, grumpy overtired baby stuck under the desk!

well to cut a long story short the whoel service has gone smoothly, It was a lovley service and we are glad made the trek out here regardless of maxing out our credit card we wouldnt have had it any other way. Its a straneg ans wery feeling like soemthing si missing every where we look. And it's feels like just yesterday we were here with gran.

This morning nanna has ds3 with her and poppato chruch and me and hubbie are using the wahsing machine and quietly looking through grans old belonging. We are here all day as the car we use has been borrowed for the day.

The day i flew in here my duaghter had her first period, and im not sure how im coping/feeling is probably a better word with that i wish iw as there. I am so scared now like a whole new level has been reached. Im upset and in some type of shock i guess ya can never prepare ya self for that can ya. My gosh she can have babies she just had her 11th birthday. I mean wow.

She wasnt scared or un educated she was as calm as anything she sent me an email and was all clued in. Thank good ness too as i had already given her the talk 1 year prior and a few in between. The day she got it was also the day they started learning about it in school too. I guess im just sorta feeling like i should have been there and also hoping she is fine and its not painful for her. Her dad has been awesome and they have a great open relationship so she is very comfortable about it with him witch is great.

i dunno im still processing all of this unsure how im really feeling regarding this. wow i guess happy yes but feeling heavy and strange to.

i been missng my bb support as thinsg like this i relie heavely on for feedback maybe i shouldnt i dunno but i do.

Squiddy glad to hear things are going well. :clap: for your DD it's a very exciting time for her, shame you can't be there to share it with her.

We had a great night last night, went to see Simon & Garfunkel with the PIL's and that was lovely. My stepmother babysat and she is such a legend, she also did the dishes, tidied up, emptied the dishwasher and I suspect did a vacuum as well.... it was awesome! Even better than that madam actually slept from midnight until about 6.30 am, and then came into our bed and we snoozed until after 8! it was bliss!
My last week off work this week... I'm still in denial, I'm still hoping it is all a horrible mistake and they're going to call me and say they really don't need me to come back... *sigh* Anyway we're just going to take it one day at a time and if I really can't bear to be away from her I'll quit. But in the meantime... one more week.

Hi All

My little girls name is Madisyn. She was induced 5 weeks early due to my type 1 diabetes.

She is now 9.5kg and 78cm long (very tall for her age). Two bottom teeth but that's it. They came through when she was 8 months old. She still isn't crawling. I'd love her to because she gets frustrated being in the same spot.

She was breastfeed up to a week ago. Little horror just wouldn't stop biting.
Her sleeps have been a nightmare from 2 weeks old. She would have 6 x 20-40 minute sleeps during the day and wake every 2 hours at night. We went to a sleep clinic twice which didn't help. She is now having 2 x 60 minutes sleeps and a 30 minute one before dinner. She usually sleeps until about 1am without a problem now but then it's a battle from then until about 5am.

Doctor put her on a dose of Phenergan to see if we could break her sleep cycles. I wasn't very happy about trying it but did for one night. It did nothing at all. Other than that everything is going well.

I work from home (try) but don't get much done these days.

I was due the 14th of August, but delivered on the 30th June, almost 7 weeks early, but I post in this thread as this is when I was due and my DD has been more inline developmentally with these bubs and many of the lovely ladies were my Belly Buddies (in the pregnancy section) and I couldn't leave them they are just all so lovely!!!!

:comfort: for the terrible sleeping, a few of us have been going through so shocking sleeping, and even moreso lately, so sending you some sleepy vibes your way.

I also work from home most of the week and go into the office on two days, soon to be three days. DD goes into Childcare on those days. Which she absolutely loves, she gets very excited when I drop her off, like the "peeing your pants level of excitement" :lol:

We were getting ready to go out to dinner and he was just doing the usual 'cruising the furniture' thing then he turned around and let go of the couch and stepped out.

OMG I was shocked, wasnt expecting it but was soooo excited hehe So proud of my boy!!

Vic he might be walking by the time we get down there :lol: or even better he'll wait so you can see it too, that would be cool! :)

Pix - how long did it take Beth from when she first started to get her balance and actually walk without stumbling over - days, weeks??

Kim - Beema and I were due the same day (14th Aug) in the end Kye was 3 days over. I planned and had a waterbirth. Labour was about 11 hours. Kyes birth stats were: 8lb 9.5 oz, 54.5cm long and 37.5cm head (yes he's been on the biggish side all along :lol: )

We're having a pretty strange week. On Monday I got an email from work saying they don't have 3 days a week of work for me and they'll get back to me today.... so not sure what they are going to suggest. I would be happy to get redundancy as long as I get a decent payout... so I guess I'll know later today

Plus he went and got chinese last night for dinner, and an ice cream cake... I luuuuurve ice cream cakes - yes I am a 5 year old stuck in a 32 year olds body.. bwahahaha

Yay for Kye walking!!!!!!!! Awesome!!!! Miss M is sooo not near that stage, doesn't even like walking on her knees. She starts crying whenever you put her on her feet, so we're just letting her do her stuff at the moment - she loves crawling and is happy to do so. No rush here!

Well Well, its be SO long since i have been in here, i have been off the computer for a while and actually quite enjoying having a break from it, i think its very easy to get caught up in the cyber world!!! its amazing what gets done when the internet isnt around too....im very easily distracted!!!:rolleyes:

I have had a quick read back over a few posts but couldnt possible read all!! hope every one is well and all the bubs are doing great! Cant believe we are heading up to 12 months at full speed!! it really is crazy!

So, Grace is now up and walking everywhere, no more crawling!! she is saying a few words like HI and BYE and we have so much fun playing the animal nosies game ''what noise does..... make'' and she does the noise!!
we went to the uk for a few weeks and she LOVED it, loved meeting all that side of the family and she learnt to blow kisses and do hi 5's with grandma!! and spent the whole time tormenting the cats and chickens! but loved it!! wish i could bring all my family back with me!! took us a while to get back in to the swing of things but now is sleeping from 7.30pm till 6.30am with a wake up and feed at about 2am and then at 5am and she come in to bed with us then!!
She is eating well, she now has two top and two bottom teeth and eats anything she can get her teeth into...although the quantities have gone down!! she is only just 9kgs but is happy and healthy. and has a great sense of humor...we are always in stitches!!:D
i think thats the general gist of whats been going on.

if any one has the time or inclination a little 'news flash' of whats been goin on with you would be lovely. other wise take care and hugs to all....catch you all again very soon!!!!!:lol:

Bec - :clap: for Grace walking! Dont think Kye is too far away now either. Friday night he decided he was going to be clever and stood up all by himself, took about 5 or 6 steps and clapped his hands at the same time hehe

He is loving his books. He turns the pages by himself and lifts up all the flaps in his SPOT books haha

Last time I checked Kye was weighing 12.4kg and was 82 cm tall :rofl: (that was on June the 5th)

He has his two bottom teeth through.

He is sleeping 10-11 hours at night with no wakeups, YAY!!
