Misty - I hear ya...loud and clear!!!!! I want to wear a normal bra, something that doesnt make them look like walnuts in socks would be nice! I need all the help i can get ;) Im a bit over it too. I feel bad for that, but its just never been easy with lochie and bf. I kind of hope we are near the end, even if I will miss the closeness of it. And im the same as saffi, i never lose weight whilst bf...ANNOYING!
Cheezelmoster - thanks hun. 8 months of bf is pretty good i reckon. Ill continue to offer breast first, but follow with bottle if i think he needs it. Im starting to wean now, but i think ill continue bf over night, if he allows it. Lochie is also pulling himself up on everything, stable and not, and as a result, has a fall and screams everytime...oh dear!
Saffi - hope the dreaded cold leaves soon...not fun, poor bubba!
have a great weekend ladies, bbl next week.

Hey girls
Issy - about sock boobs! I would love a proper bra here too, mine are a bit sad now.
Chezel - Eli is clingy too,it really makes it hard to get stuff done hey! Goodluck over the next few days xx
Saffi - lots of colds etc going around, hope it gets better soon
misty - not long to go, you are doing really well.
AFU - you won't believe it but I got AF back today. I was quite suprised, but happy at the same time. I want to try to get a reg cycle so we can get our frosties at some point, not too soon though. Eli is still having 2 feeds overnight and about 5-6 during the day. He loves boob and I don't think he will wean earlier than 12 months. 12 months was my goal, so fingers crossed.
he even 'self serves' and attaches himself much to the amusement of my family . Also, anyone got some nice meat recipes?
Rach xx
-
rach - AF? Wow, thats cool...i guess? hehehehe. I thought mine was starting a few weeks ago, but after a spot (quite literally!) it disappeared! Wont be to far off though now im guessing, with bf less.
About time to start thinking about 'protection' ;) Was going to have another one soon after lochie, but have decided to wait a few years now, want to start working properly and im enjoying him too much to have another just yet....i dont want to rob him of my attention that a little one needs, if i can help it ;)
-
Hey all... I've changed my name, so AKA Cass_Blob With little Eli born 3 Aug (just to jot the memory)
I haven't been in here in a long time! So good to see all the babies are happy and healthy (besides the few sleep issues i've been reading about)
AFM - We are still Bfing here, she loves the booby to much to give it up! Which will make next weeks placement (for uni) just the extra little bit harder as I am going to need to find places to express (Its a hospital so shouldnt be to hard LOL).
Sleeping here, doesn't happen that often, This week is the first week we have actually been sleeping through (four nights now!!! yay) But during the day she is a shocker, i'm lucky to get her down for one sleep. sometimes its two very short ones!
She has been on the go for ages now! she can sit, crawl (very fast mind you), stand up holding funiture, funiture walk, stand up withoout holding on, and take 4 steps!!! very clever little munchkin
she has one of the funniest and cutiest personalities i have ever seen, she laughs at everything and is pretty much alays in a good mood!
except for right now as ia 12am and I oke her up having a coffee (i'm doing an assignment)
Well thats me! Will come bk more often!
-
Hi mummynurse - welcome back and goodluck with uni! Issy and I can sympathise (we finished 2 weeks before our bubs came along...phew).
Issy - I know, I was suprised Af showed up too as Eli is still a major booby boy....but never mind, it is good for us in a way. I totally understand what you mean about enjoying Lochie so much. I feel the same way. We wanted Eli for so long, I just want to be with him for a bit too. Don't think we'll be looking at frosties till mid next year. I also need to work too:hug: Maybe we'll be PG together again . It;s a bit different for us cause we don't know how long it will take with IVF etc...
afu - had an unsettled day yesterday and this morning his top tooth is coming through! That explains it. He is grinding his teeth! I think just cause top one is new and feels different, does that sound right? I know grinding isn' good though.....

Hey ladies, have a bit of time so thought I might actually post instead of just reading!
Won't attempt personals cause I have too much to catch up on.
Food - We have been struggling a bit the last two weeks because he has been sick with fevers and a bad lingering cough. It is settling now but he was gagging and vomiting at almost every meal at one point. We went back to smoother pureed stuff and that seemed to help. Looks like he is taking the chunkier foods and finger foods better today so hopefully we're back on track. He has been having meat for quite a while. Mainly tuna, chicken and minced beef. He is now having 3 meals a day and sometimes a 'snack' of a rice rusk or similar. Drinking a bit more water too and about to switch from a sippy cup to a cup with a straw.
Bfeeding - No end in sight here. My long term goal is 2 years so we have a way to go yet. I've been prg and/or b'feeding for the better part of 5 years now so it's just part of a normal day for me now. I've been b'feeding for 2.5 years straight and tandem feeding for 8 months this month :) I am hoping my big boy weans soon because we'll be heading towards 3 in a few months and that would be my absolute cut off. I hear you on the bras though! Oh how I love to wear my sports bra with underwire! I have to make myself take it off when I'm finished at the gym. It's so nice to have boobs rather than udders for just that little while I have it on  I'll tell the truth though - once bub is over 12 months and we're sleeping through and down to 3 feeds a day, I switch to normal bras anyway. By then I've had jack of it and just make do with normal bras.
In other news... Sleep much improved here the last few nights after a rough couple of weeks. He is generally waking 1-2 overnight. Now that things have settled again I will give it a week or so and then work on cutting down at least one of those feeds. Will see how we go. Not sure if it was the illness, new teeth or mastering the crawl - yep, the boy is finally off and away! After a month or so of commando crawling/shuffling he's finally up on hands and knees and he's away :) Very strange to have a baby crawl so late, but he got there in the end.
Not much else happening. We are renovating at the moment which is a total PITA with 3 kids at home during school hols. Painting etc was all done last week, this week we're having new flooring put it. I cannot WAIT till it's all done!
-
hi ya'll,
speaking of bf - lochie seems to be into it again, been having some good feeds, such a relief, makes me remember why i love doing it in the first place.
Fingers crossed it continues!

Hello everyone, welcome back cass :)
Having a good day today, it is my littlest sisters 18th birthday today. It is my 28th birthday on monday. :) Plus we are finally getting Baz christened on sunday - after 4 cancellations. So much going on at the moment. Oh and my boss is resigning (retiring) which means she is happy an subsequently really nice to everyone at the moment - and is bending over backwards trying to get me better meetings, lets just hope they can replace her (and preferrably with someone better ;) ).

Hi Everyone,
I've been avoiding this thread a bit and I couldn't work out why. I think it is a subconscious thing because it reminds me of perfect little family that I had. But I've woken up to myself now!
WIll be selfish because DD has just finally gone down for a sleep - who knows how long for and I need to shower.
We saw the MCHN yesterday and DD weighed 7.1kg, 69.5cm long at 8m10d. I thought she would be more than that in her weight. She has dropped back down to the 10th percentile for her weight but the nurse isn't concerned because she did start out around the 3rd but had spiked up.
We are constantly moving from siting to crawl and rocking, using hands but then either splat on her belly because she forgets to move her legs with her hands or she just goes back to sit position.
Her Plagiocephaly is still of a concern, her head has changed shape but still far from ok. They keep telling me it should be fine but I'm starting to sweat on it. Our last physio appointment the physio confirmed my concerns abotu how she is sitting so now we are busy working on that too. It's hard to explain but she really curves her lower back and twists her pelvis underneath her so that the two dimples above your butt crack are almost on the ground :( It seems nothing is simple with her.
Her reflux seems to be playing up again and I'm wondering if I should put her back on meds.
You might have seen my post but sleeping has been a nightmare. Yesterday she was up at 600am and didn't sleep til 9pm with only having two half hour naps all day! Health nurse has recommended a sleep school for us.
Have a great day x
-
Ellee -take care of yourself. and please don't avoid us, we are all here to support each other. :) It sounds as if you definitely have you have a lot on your hands at the moment.
-
Hi girls,
Issy - How's Lochie going with his feeds? Did he continue to have good ones?
TT - Congrats on starting AF again  I haven't yet but hope to soon so I can start TTC #2!! As for meat recipes I have Robyn Barker's "Baby & Toddler Meals" that has a few nice sounding ones. Yet to try them though. PM me if you want me to email them to you.
MummeNurse - Hi, sounds like Eli is doing really well!! Good luck on placement next week. I'm also a nurse so I can relate :D
Willow - Hi there, sorry to hear you've had a rough time of late. Glad to hear things are improving though!! I can certainly relate to renovations, such a PITA!!
Misty - Happy Birthday for Monday, how was your day?
Elle - Big hugs darl.
-
Hi everyone
Ellee - :comfort: you've got a lot on your plate at the moment! Do you think you will do the sleep school and will that be in Perth?
Willow - I didn't know you were still BF L! WTG! I'm up twice a night with M too. She's been off her bottles lately so those night feeds are much needed.
Cass - welcome back. Sounds like Eli will be walking in no time. If you are doing a placement at a Qld Health hospital they have a BF in the Workplace Policy and are very proactive about it (as you'd expect).
issy - yay for L rediscovering the boob
Rach - M isn't keen on meat. Hope to try her on something in the next week or so.
misty - fingers crossed for a nice new boss. What work do you do?
Cheezel - so you're going to start TTC#2?
Hi Trish, tk and anyone else I've forgotten.
AFU - M has settled well at daycare. She still has a bit of a cold but not as bad. Still not sleeping through, still not crawling, and making slow progress with solids. But she is a happy little thing and seems generally content with the world so thats great.
Got the day off work tomorrow. Doing mother's group in the morning and then kid's sleep and playtime in the afternoon. Also going to try to get some housework in there too.
Hope you and your bubs are going great.
-
Hi girls,
Ellee05 - im so sorry to hear that you having a rough time at the moment. I hope you are ok? And misty is absolutely right, we are always here to chat to, so come on in and fire away!
Saffi - Lochie is doing better on the breast again, only one bottle today (and only because we were at a cafe, i didnt dare try the breast, far to distracting for our nosy Lochie!). He had a 5 breast feeds all up...so thats great. Good to hear M is happy, in the end, thats the most important thing!
Willow - 2 years on the breast - YOU GO GIRL! I wish my boys would do that, but Isaac refused it from almost 11 months (and never even had a bottle before that, so I know he didnt ditch me for it) and Lochie, oh my litte monkey...such a fuss pot on the breast! Maybe the next one?????? Although, as mentioned before, i get frustrated when lochie is being fussy and i want to give it up, and I would love to wear a normal bra again!
Rach - not sure about any nice meat recipes. We just chuck it into his veggie mash at the moment. But he did enjoy his slow cooked veal the other day, it was a bit of meat from our dinner and it was so tender it melted in the mouth...he was a big fan!
Cheezel - another one? Wow, you are keen...2 little ones will certainly keep you on your toes! Double the craziness...but double the fun!!!!!
MummeNurse - Welcome back :D!
Big hi to everyone ive missed...
AFU - Well, only 1 bottle today and lots of breast so happy about that. Also, finally managed to find a child care centre for Lochie, only 1 day available at the moment, a Friday, but can start next week, and will get first priority when more days become available in the next few months. So good news there!!!! Centre is beautiful and is only 5 mins away! YAY!!!!!!!
Apart from that, everything is going great guns here. Lochie is climbing furniture all over the place. I found him up on isaacs couch, peering into the turtle tank this afternoon :o I do watch him...(hahahha) its just i turned my back for quite literally a few minutes and he was up there, he's so bloody fast!!!!!! Luckily i found him when i did, because seconds later he was down from the chair, which was just as swift but not quite as graceful as climbing up ;) Mummy caught him...phewww! So, we have a pro crawler and climber over here....and the fun begins! Also, dont know if i have mentioned this before, but although our wee lochie is a VERY happy little soul, he is fast developing a cracker temper (just his mummy...just quietly ;)). He has started growling and biting his fist when he is angry :o He goes all red and bites or pulls on his clothes and the look on his face after he does it...well, lets just say, im pretty sure he shocks himself! Oh, dear, i fear i have a true Leo on my hands here.
Well, thats it from me,
issy
p.s. in true rach and issy style - i got AF tonight! 4 days behind ya girl....what the?????
-
Ellee - hun. I agree with Misty we are here to support you. I know it must be very difficult!
Issy - thanks for such a great day in the park. Also, LMAO about AF. We just sync together. First our bubs were due 4 days apart now AF four days apart....so funny!
Saffi- sounds like manage to balance everything so well. I'll be needing tips in a few weeks hopefully!
Chezel - I'll PM you hun thanks... Also, goodluck with TTC#2. We have decided to wait a little longer for number 2.
Misty - hope you get a wonderful new boss at work!
AFU - going along well. DS is starting to get into his foods more. Loved chilli con carne (no chilli - just con carne LOL) and rafferty's choc custard. he is adorable and had a great day at the park with issy and lochie. His christening is next sunday and my brother is coming from england aswell as a dear friend from interstate so I may be on here a bit less next week ;)

Hello Everyone,
I seem to havestalled in my weight loss efforts. Mainly because I am not putting any effort in and am overindulging in all the good stuff - motivation has flown out the window at the moment. sigh...An overweight Weight Watchers Leader, not a good look - I need a good kick up the bum. Oh well, Tomorrow's a new day.
I hope everyone is going well.
How is everyone elses bub going on the sleep front? Baz is only having one sleep during the day, most days. And he still wakes up at least once a night for a feed (lately more, because he if teething). I wonder how he can possibly be getting enough sleep, but he seems happy enough most of the time.
On a seperate note, Baz has learnt how to sing  It is sooo cute. You know the kids song "We all know frogs go La-de-da-de-da"? Baz sits there singing "La-de-da-de-da" "Glumph, glumph glumph" - he has the tune down pat and even tries to do the actions. I am thinking I should put it on DVD and send it into funniest home video's or something.
-
misty - you should so get Baz on DVD! I'd vote for that. Too cute! M usually has two day sleeps. We are usually up twice a night or if I'm lucky once but only if she drinks her dream feed.
Rach - yeah I try! Had high hopes of doing some housework this afternoon but ended up snoozing with M on the couch. Something has to give and at the moment its the housework.
Issy - congrats on getting a daycare place.
Bit of drama this morning. We were at MG and DS was playing in a sandbox, lost his balance and fell into a retaining wall, grazing his chin. Only when I looked at it could I see there was a cut which looked pretty bad so off to the Drs. Anyway the Dr said it wasn't too bad and used some of that glue to seal it up. So my little boy is bruised and bloody. The nurse who looked after him has three boys was surprised he made it to 2 and a half without needing sutures. One thing I'm sure of it won't be the last time.
-
Misty how gorgeous Baz is singing! CUTEY PIE! Eli is still on 3 sleeps, but if sometimes misses the last one and then can be grumpy till bed time (I try to out him down earlier, but it doesn't always work). He is getting up about twice a night. He is co-sleeping ATM. Had a great day today, but bad night. His teeth are really playing havoc poor darling. I can tell cause he does this certain lip/blowing action when they are sore. He also had a temp. Poor thing hopefully he will sleep well, no way he would settle in his cot tonight....
rach xx
-
Misty - D is having two day naps, generally about 1.5 hours each, sometimes 2 hours but not often. After a big improvement in our nights, the last two nights have been pretty average again :( He generally wakes twice a night, if I'm really lucky, only once. Last night he woke 3 times :wall:
Am I the only one that is fed up with the sleep deprivation? I am really struggling with it today :( I wish he'd just learn to sleep through.
Saffi - We had L at the hospital last weekend having his head glued back together! He is a little dare devil and I am pretty surprised he has made it this far without sutures myself (although a broken leg at 18 months is still pretty impressive ). It was a narrow escape this time but I'm sure his luck will run out one day. DH had to stay home to look after the other two kids so I had him there on my own and was pretty relieved when they told me they would glue it rather than stitch it.
