Ellee - dont get a Medela Mini. I have been using a manual breast pump and it has been working ok but thought If I use it daily it would be easier to get an electric one. Well........Ive gone back to the manual one. The Medela Mini Electric was extremely noisy and I found that It doesnt have enough suction to get the dregs out (which is what Im doing every night before bed and storing it). I have used an Avent manual Pump which was fantastic and am currently using a cherub one I bought new off ebay which is ok, it does the job but its not a great quality product.
Im so disappointed with the Medela Mini Electric, I even checked out reviews on it and everything. Its the last time I will trust product reviews online coz I did the same with my pram and was disappointed too.
Thanks Megan. I'm definately thinking an electric one just for when/ if I go back to work. I was looking a the Medela Swing but I've heard the Avent isis ones are good... decisions decisions. I was looking at a cherub one so glad you steered me clear of that one. Thanks!
They've been very visible in his bottom gum since about 10 weeks and I can definitely feel something hard and sharp in his bottom gum. If it is, it's not fully out yet though.
Have any of you heard of the Amber Teething necklaces? I was talking to a couple of the girls in chatroom the a few weeks back who swore by them. I'm going to order one for Miss Z. They recommended amber bebe dot com dot au.
Thanks Megsmum - I've read the expressing advice here on BB and read the chapter in the ABA book so I'm ready to give it a crack We bought sippy cup with a squishy mouthpiece in case DD doesn't take to the bottle. I've got a Medula manual pump - any trouble with that one Megan or was it just the electric one?
Wow Willow - a tooth already - that's amazing! What is the amber supposed to do? Is it an 'energetic medicine' thing?
Orla is trying to roll now too - gets 3/4the way round then all frustrated cos she's stuck there !
