OH Brooke, what can I say? You have been so strong these past few months, I don't know how you've done it. Men are at their worst when they are ill. You're doing so well. I really dont blame you for flying off the handle, I totally agree with Trace, grab Charli & go out, swimming would be good & relax, put her in one of those pool pram thingies & just float around & forget about things for a while. You've got a bundle to consider as well!!& Charli probably wont even remember your tantrum so DO NOT beat yourself up about that!
Cass, poor Panther!I understand how you feel about him being experience, I personally if you feel he would be in too much pain or discomfort being medicated & having blood taken all the time, then don't let it happen. You are not being selfish for wanting to keep him going either, if you feel his treatment is working then great do it.It is so hard, I know, but if the meds are gonna make his life normal again, then that is fantastic!!
I hope this made some sense I just woke up!!
-
Louise I have you an email...i had a squiz at your cakes..they are simply gorgeous..you are so clever!!! Cant wait to see some pics of little Maria.
Brooke Im so sorry you are having such a **** time of things..what doesnt kill us makes us stronger woman!!!! Thinking of you....so wish i could help in some way.
Cass...its so sad...i can understand your dilemma...can you give it a few months and see how difficult the treamtent and blood tests will be? He might be back to his normal happy self soon with medication and then it might seem like an easier choice to make?
Trace Im so glad that Indah is happy with her carer..that is so fantastic..must be such a relief for you.
Basketball went really well thanks Soph. The kids are on at different times so makes for a long Monday night but they all enjoyed it. How is your head now? All ok..and no news....good news then? I can so remember those days too with little Neddy being on your shoulder..awwwwww.
Hi Storm..omg you are 32 weeks!!!!!!
Hellooo everyone else...
I had a lovely morning out with Sammy today..we went for a huge walk and he was so thrilled to have ducks and swans coming over to him at the river..got some great piccies!!! I have my little niece today...she is 4 tomorrow! We are having a party for her today before she goes back to her mummys in Perth..shes so excited about it!
Im talking to my sister about her coming to look after Sammy for 2 half days a week while I go into work...i dont know how you guys do it..i feel like such a wuss....arrgh...
Jo
-
Jo it kills me... But I know I have to... I started feeling guilty to be pregnant again knowing I will have to return to work, but I also cant give up having another baby to cherish & love... I need to work as Dh earns crap money, we creally wnated another baby & so this is what we have to do...
I am definately gonna tell them I only want to return to 4 days after my maternity leave though! I'm sure Sammy will enjoy it, 2 days is cool! I bet he loved the long walk... hee hee Indah now will only wlak holding your fingers so it can get pretty hard on your back, but it's all she currently wants to do!
Ohh Louise I'll have to check out your cakes & if you like in my profile you'll see my e-mail addy so I'd also love to see pic's of Maria!!!
-
Oh No!! hehe. Zac took his nappy off while he was having his sleep today! Ick, what a mess, I reckon, by the amount of pee, he did it straight after I put him in there!! Nappy backwards tomorrow!! hahahhahhahahah.
Louise I'd love to see piccies of Maria too, will email you.
Yep JO, 32 weeks........ 8 l o n g weeks to go, I so can't wait til it is over & I can rid myself of all these aches!! Oh & have a macca's icecream too!!
-
ROFPMSL... Nice one Zac!!! HA HA HA HA!! That's awesome Storm, what a cheeky little monkey!
I'm off home now... I hope the smell of food cooking inside does make me want to chuck again!!!!!
-
Lol Ay, at least his butt got a good air out!!
Hope your not gonna feel too sick Trace, I really, really, really hate that part.
-
Trace you are great..I know we all have to do what we have to do...im sure Sammy will be fine...we just dont leave him...so am anxious to start but will do it gradually so hopefully he will be fine with that. 4 days will be so great for you..ohh im so excited..you are having a baby lol!
Storm that is so funny!!!! Sammy hasnt figured out how to undo his nappy yet..hope it doesnt happen anytime soon too lol..cos he loves having no nappy on! 55 days doesnt sound like long...use the days lol instead of weeks!!!
Jo
-
Awwww Louise, Maria is beautiful!!
& wow at the cakes too, you are so clever!!
OK Jo, so 55 days then, your right, it does sound so much better:)
-
Hi guys!
Sorry I did a big post yesterday (lots to you Brooke!) and Lucie deleted it all
Anyway Brooke basically it was massive hugs to you and don't feel bad at all, you are only human and your reaction is totally understandable. I know what it's like having very little support around and it's tough in the best of times. Do you have a friend that can maybe take Charli for an hour while you and DH have some time alone (or better still you have a massage or something!). Try and take care of yourself and that bub you are growing matey.
Storm - clever Zac with the nappy. Good idea putting it on backwards! 54 days to go
Jo - I'm sure Sammy will be fine too. I reckon mums find it the toughest (then again I haven't had to do it yet)
Cass - Not sure what I'd do about teh cat situation. I guess if his life isn't too happy then it may not be the best for him to keep on going with all the meds and tests. It's a tough call.
Ok gotta run. No melanoma for me, just a BCC (skin cancer but not so bad as they got it all)
-
Soph, glad the head is Ok & they got everything!!!
Storm how did the nappy backwards go last night with Zac??
Jo, I got home last night & the carer had written a note about Indah & her 2 hours there yesterday. It really made me smile she wrote: Dear Parents, I justw anted to let you know how Indah's day was today. She sat in the highchair smiling & singing as the other 2 kids danced & played musical instruments, she tapped her knee & giggled with excitement, she ate a sandwich & had a drink of her milk & thens tarted sjowing tired signs, I did as you suggest & began saying "night night Indah" she immediately grabbed her hair & I laid her in the cot she made a noise for about 20 seconds before falling asleep, she slept for just over an hours & a half, when Daddy arrived to pick her up.
It is a pleasure for me to be caring for such a delightful child, Thank-you....!
So I am really happy that Indah seems to have just slotted in happily with this lady & situation...
Cass, I too would be a bit of a mess deciding what to do with my beloved pet whom is most definately part of the family!!! Could you see how he copes over the next few weeks & then decide? I understand your not wanting him to be the vet's experiment too... Good luck deciding!
-
oh Trace sounds like you have found a great lady there! Did you get the book btw?
-
OH Crap sorry Soph, Yep the book arrived thanks Sweets you ae just too precious for words!!! Have only managed a quick flick through it... with the Il's etc it's been hectic!!!
-
Great Trace! How much longer are the IL's here for?
-
About a week or so, the latest they can stay til is Dec 1st!!!
Their names are down on a standby flight for this Friday though, as Balinese Xmas starts around Nov 29th & they would love to be home for it!!!
-
Wow Trace, what a wonderful carer you have found! Fancy thanking you for letting her look after Indah, how wonderful!
Glad your head is better Soph & it wasn't anything too sinister.
Zac left his nappy on last night, only because I put a all in one on him, hahaha.
-
Hi Girls,
Soph I am so glad that it all came up clear ..phew!.
Jo I know how hard it is to leave them , but if they are with someone you trust it makes it so much easier.
Go Zac taking his nappy off hahah. Kaitlyn has started to do this as well!!! But so far has not managed to wee anywhere. A friend of mine had to masking tape her sons nappy on because he would always take it off hehe.
Trace so excited about you new little arrival!!! I can only imagine your joy! I hope the MS is not to bad.
Well my dear Packer seems to be doing ok so far, I sat with him in the garden last night (well DH and I took turns until Kaitlyn went to bed) he just sat and sniffed the air , ate some grass and tried unsucessfully to catch a lizard . He is still not well (obviously) but he seems to be in good spirits. So we are off to the vet tomorrow night to test his blood , then Friday we will confirm cancer or not ( looks like not) and then they will start him on the meds. We have decided like you all think to give it a month and see how he goes. As long as he is not in pain and seems happy then we will continue ( may need to get a second job mind you!!!!!!!!!!!- just kidding!) so we will see.
Kaitlyn is going well , running around like a mad woman and making us all laugh. She has discovered how to blow her nose but now also does it as a way of getting attention when she is nervous or upset so that is a bit annoying !!! haha. She refuses to eat anything but yogurt from us most days and wants to use her hands for everything( anyone else finding this?). Oh and the other day , being the good girl she is she came over saying "da da da...Taaaaa" and handed him a daddy long legs spider!!!!!!!argh the things they do ( I think Lucie has done this as well hasnt she soph?). Anyway full of cheekiness my girl!
DH has his stitches out on his hand but is still in pain , but all is looking good!.
OK better run and do some work!
Brooke I hope your day is going ok honey
-
Oh Brooke - not creepy at all. Send Charli up here and her and Lucie ca go feral together! Really hope they finf out whats wrong with your DH soon. It's terrible!
Cass - Sending Packer 'make a remarkable recovery' vibes.....
Tracey - Does their visa run out then? Will be nice to have your house back to yourselves. I LOVE visitors but everything is always a bit out of whack.
Storm - Do you use cloth nappies with Zac?
Ned was 2 months old yesterday  Where has the time gone? Have his vacs tomorrow :crying:
-
Brooke, waht do the surgeons say? There must be something they can do? It cant be right your poor Dh to be in so much pain after having his appendix removed??
Does he see anyone regularly that can monitor him or something? Myabe they can keep him in hospital for a night or 2 so not only you can get sleep but they can see what he is going through!??? It just sounds awful that he is in so much pain & his emotionbs are spiralling out of control, you have a baby & one in your tummy....
I wish there was something I/we could do to help!!!!
I final;ly nervously made the call to the Hospital & am booking myself in to their Family Birthing Centre, so all natural, minimal intervention etc, etc!! So no Ob this time just midwife care & I am so excited... They have to call me back a bit later to give me details etc though!
Soph, the visa runs out on the 3rd Dec, so they are booked ona flight for Dec 1st, but originally the plan was for 2 weeks, but Balinese Christmas is the last few days of November & it's a really big thing & they want to be home for that so they'll leave on Friday & so it will have been 3 weeks!!
I am looking forward to my home back in my own hands & also my own bed again!!!!!
OMG Ned is 2 months old.... where does the time go????
-
Hi ladies.
Brooke...your poor Dh..it must be agonising watching him like this. What is going on with the Drs? Are they doing anything to help him? Surely he cant go on like this? Big hugs to you...and no its certainly not creepy..i love our supportive little group!!!!!
Trace Indah's carer sounds gorgeous..thats really lovely and what a huge relief it must be for you. Its not going to work out with my sister...so will have to keep thinking about how we will make this work. And wow booking in..yay...the birthing place sounds so fab....whoohoooooo...so whatcha names then....Leni....Marley.....still thinking pink..??? And wow the inlaws going soon....while its been lovely for you i can imagine it will be so lovely for you to have your space back too..not long now.
Soph wow hes 2 months already??? Is he still chunking out?? lol...surely hes slowed down a bit the little piggy??LOL
Ewwww Cass....a daddy long legs...what a special treat that is lol. Kaitlyn sounds gorgeous!!!! Sammy does the same cept his is tank u tank u tank u lol....Yay for the stiches out too....fingers crossed its all going to work out for your beloved puss too!
Arrgh its take me ages to write this girls...ive had a lovely day today til i got home to an email from my MIL..I routinely send out emails to all my extended family and friends who dont get to see the kids that much with photos and updates and she is having a huge whinge about what a ***** i am basically. God knows i have had it with this woman! (yup the one with the internet and the american lover who is now her husband!!!!!)
Jo
-
heheheh had to laugh at you first jo...love the internet lover MIL. Man MIL's honestly it must be so hard to get a good one in this world!I promise to be a good one if Kaitlyn marries any of the BB boys hehe.
Brooke I so feel for , and your DH. It is the worst thing just not knowing ...at least if you knew the issue causing the pain you would know what you are in for.And that is not creepy at all ...sometimes I tell you girls things I just dont bother to tell anyone else !..that is what we are here for. I only live over in Baulkham hills so if you want a break and meet for a coffee or even if you need some help with anything please let me know as I will be more then happy to help...honest.
Soph I cant believe Ned is two months! It is funny but before I even got to you post I looked at a previous posts ticker and said to myself"oh my god ned is already 2months old!"...by the way I love your new ticker!.
Trace what has made you go down the route of a birthing centre? Did you do the hospital/epidural thing before?. I am only interested for me next time...I would like to try and avoid drugs if possible ,....but would not be upset if I had to have them. Will be nice for you to get your place back !
hi everyone else!
I had a lovely day today ! Today is my work from home day but the PC as soooooo slow ..so I packed up at 330pm picked up Kaitlyn and we went to the pool !. I tell you Kaitlyn is such a water baby , she just has the most wonderful time.
I took Packer outside again tonight to enjoy the outside air!. He is such a beautiful boy and loves being outside...happiness is the best medicine I think!
-
Cass, I was at the same Hospital for both the girls births but went thru my GP whom is also an Ob, so it was all prewtty much bulk billed & then he wasnt there when the girls were born anyways, he is also no longer practising.
Maddy I had Peth, because I was induced after my waters broke 2 days earlier & not much was happening but she had become distressed!
With Indah I had a suck on the gas hated it & did it without drugs, including being cut, as she had a very poor heart rate & was distyressed so they had to cut me to deliver her NOW! But no drugs & I rweally enjoyed her birth so cant see whay I cant do it like that again... So as my Ob is no longer practising & as I want natural anyways I figured I'd rather be cared for by the midwives & deliver in the FBC... Where DH can saty with me & baby overnight! Then go home the next day!!!!
Hmmm, Jo I am still liking Leni for a girl & I think we are now gonna go with my SIL's name as a middle name which is Rahayu (ra hi you!)
For a boy I want Zyon Marley (or might spell it Mahli?)
But I am gonna tell family & friends some different names so I cant hear their comments!!!
-
Hi ladies...am up early today to see my baby off to her orientation at high school. Cant believe shes going to high school:( She is catching the bus with her friends too..doesnt want her mummy taking her lol.....awwww least my dad is meeting her there (hes a teacher there)..sigh..they grow up too quick.
Sorry about selfish post..will be on later...i just feel sad.
Jo
-
Wow Trace you must have such a high pain threshold ..I thought I was good . You go girl! I loveeeee those names! Mahli is my favourite SP.
Well today started out well ..I lost a diamond earring!!!!!!!! DH found the back in the bathroom so oh god I hope the actual diamond earring is somewhere! . Mind you when you own nice things then I guess these things happen so I am not kicking myself to hard ( just a couple of bruises hehe).
We are off to the Vets tonight for Packer to have blood removed to thin it out again ..poor baby.
I took Kaityn to the pool yesterday after work ..she had the best time!! and so did mummy!
I had to have a chat with daycare today as yesterday they made a comment that "Kaitlyn had cried herself to sleep " I was not happy! So I chatted with them this morning to ensure that is NOT happening. The girls in there are so nice but there is one at the moment who looks so unhappy and is just becoming rude. She is being moved out of the room next year but I just dont think it is nice for babies to feel that vibe..do I say something to the director?
ohhhh gotta run...mean to be running a meeting in 5mins so I better go get the laptop set up!
-
CAss - def say something if you are not happy, it's your child! Hope vet is ok this arvo and you find your earring
Trace - LOVE the names, particularly Leni. So cute!
Jo - ooohhh your little girl is growing up! How do you think she will go with DH teaching there? My DH is a teacher too and will most likely be teaching where the kids end up going to school (seems like ages away but I bet time flies!) and we often talk about the pros and cons of it.
Brooke - How are you today?
Just trying to find addresses. Being organised and addressing my christmas card enevlopes before the cards arrive from the wonderful Fletch. She's a legend!
-
Cass I'd say something too, or else your gonna be at work all day in knots!!! It's not fair on you, Kaitlyn or the unhappy girl, maybe someone is upsetting her!??? Also i explained from day 1 that Indah may 'grizzle' when put into the cot, but if it is crying then she is not to be left!!! So saying what they said about her crying herself to sleep would have made me see red!
Soph, it does go by so fast, I cant believe Maddy is gonna be in grade 3 next year! Waaaah, where'd the years go? She turns 8 on Sunday!
OOOh Jo, a big girl now... OMG, how nervy but also cool that your Dad is at the school... hee hee
OOOh I just havent had time to think about Christmas Cards yet & so will mail them out to ppl I get cards from this year, last year I had them all posted on Dec 1st! (I was also on maternity leave) This year there's too much going on in my head!!!!
-
Hey girls :)
Jo... for you! Time just goes too quickly, doesn't it?! I hope Jess enjoys her orientation and I hope you are feeling better!
Soph...I LOVE your ticker pic! How gorgeous are your kidlets?! Glad to hear that all is ok with your head.
Tracey...your girls are gorgeous in your new ticker too! Any news on the standby tickets? Love your name choices!
Storm...wow, 32 weeks! We'll be on Storm-watch soon!
Cass...I agree, I'd say something too. You are trusting these people with your princess and it is their job to care for her properly. She deserves the best! Hope all goes ok with poor Packer tonight.
Louise...your cakes are fantastic! You are very talented. I'd love to see Maria's site too. I'll email you. Maria sounds like Josh - he isn't walking yet either (still all cruising) but he loves to climb too!
Brooke...I can't believe that they can't work out what is happening with your poor DH. Are they still investigating? My offer to help out anytime still stands...I will actually send you an email a bit later on...
Fletch, Rae, Alex...how are all of you lovely ladies and your bumps doing?
Josh got another new tooth this week...without any fuss which was great. He has a little cyst under one of his eyelids atm. It's not bothering him and the doctor says it's quite normal, but we have to put eye drops & ointment in his eye to get rid of it. NOT an easy task with a 1 year old boy!
We're going away to my Dad's at Newcastle for the weekend. I will try to pop in beforehand, but if I don't, have a lovely weekend all!
Bec x
P.S. As you can see, I have actually decided to add our new addition to my sig after all. We have decided that we won't worry so much about keeping it a secret and have told a few people. Thank you all very much for keeping my secret for the past month or so though!
-
Awwww Bec beautiful......im so happy for you....Josh is going to dote on his precious sister.....you were so good holding out for so long..have you told your family and friends irl? Have a wonderful time at your dads...its so nice getting away isnt it. Yay at the new tooth ...how many is that now? Hope the cyst clears up pronto...i dont envy you having to put drops on it lol...sunscreen is hard enough and i get it everywhere lol!!!
Cass I would definately say something. You have every right to know what is going on with your baby! I have a friend who works in a daycare and she tells me all the time about some of the people that shouldnt be around our precious babies and children..grrrrrrrr at crying to sleep...that is unacceptable...poor Kaitlyn. I would definately be saying something..she is being paid to do a job and unhappy or happy you put on a professional face...children are too important and so sensitive!!!! Omg at losing the diamond earing too..hope you find it..and hope Packer goes ok at the vets tonight..what a busy life you have!
Trace I love your names too...whoohooo.....wonder what you are gonna have??? Oh and happy birthday to Maddy for Sunday .yay...is she looking forward to her big girl bbq?
Soph my dad is a teacher....not my Dh ..well my Dh has done 3 years of a bach of ed but we have a shop now that takes up his time lol..plus the dj business..one day he will get back and finish the final year...maybe lol. Im just happy that at such a big school he is there to help with her. Dad was a cool teacher too...i never got any **** cos he was so popular so i know she will have a ball with him too! Is your Dh primary or high school teacher? Yay on getting organised for your cards too...im waiting for mine from Fletchie too..isnt she so clever..busy business for her this time of year!!! Soph i love your new ticker....they just look so sweet together and how clever are you getting a Ned smile on camera!
Storm whatcha up to today hon?
God im buggered..we braved the shops today and its madness already....its chaos and busy and people are already getting mean...arrrrghhhh! I have so much to do for Christmas..gosh...i need to get cracking lol
Jo
-
I'm gonna need to see all these Christmas cards from Fletch ya know!! Sorry Fletch maybe next year too knackered this one, ooh plus I can do birth announcements!!! hee hee
Ok off for our final Il's dinner to a Chinese restaurant nearby!!!
-
Hi girls!
Bec I am so glad you are announcing your wonderful new bubba !. Has Josh worked out yet that there is a little baby in that belly of yours?. enjoy your weekend away !.
Soph I did not know your DH was a teacher!! Dont ask me why but I assume he was in mining or building or something like that as you moved about so I assumed it was to other mines or stuff ..haha..god knows why I thought that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tracey I hope you are having a lovely dinner with the ILS tonight!.
JO that is so nice that your dad works at the school ...I bet it makes her feel on top of the world know he is there.
Hi ya all the other girls!
Well Jo you are right ..busy day!. Diamond earring as not turned up ..arghhh so bummed about it as they are the earrings DH gave me before I went for my operation 2years ago  ...we have searched the whole house and of course can only find the bloody back!. And unfortunately with these vet bills already over 3K I dont want to spend the money to replace it just yet...so it will have to wait. Onto Packer, he had to have 45mls of blood taken out tonight as his redblood cells are really high already . tomorrow we should hopefully confirm it is not cancer and he can start on the Chemo for this other disease ...Vet mentioned if we keep having to have this blood taken weekly ($130 a go!) she may try to get us a bulk discount ..so that will help!.
And last but not least I spoke to daycare and they said she did not actually cry herself to sleep , they all seem so ****ty at the moment for some reason! Anyway Kaitlyn got sent home as her snot was apparently green so she cant come back until next week ..so I am working tonight and will have tomorrow off with her . Mind you she is fine!! so we will just enjoy the day together.
well big day here...oh forgot to tell you we finally sold our investment unit yay...exchanged a week ago ...we have been trying to sell it since I was 3months pregnant!. I wont tell you the loss we made on it ...ouchie it is but I am just so glad it is sold!. We rang the tennants in our other place ( our home) and they are actually wanting to buy a house so it looks like we will have to advertise and sell that one by normal means now ..bummer as we thought they would buy it. I am actually looking forward to just having 6months of renting ! We can put our money in an account and just save...no double morgage , double rates, double water, ectect ..just rent!!!!!OH GOD HOW NICE! But I bet our dream home comes up one month after the money is in our hands ...we tend to move quick DH and I .
Anyway ..man that was a long boring one..sorry girls!. Had two glasses of wine haha.
-
Cass - Hope you find your earring and the test results come back as hoped. What time do you expect to get them? You have to let us know.
Trace - What are you doing for Maddy's birthday? The cards I got Fletch to do have my new sig pic on them. It was so hard to get a pic of the kids together, without Lucie trying to maul Ned LOL!
Bec - Yay for going public! now we have to pester you on names.....
Jo - LOL at it being your Dad and not DH. Baby brain here!!!! I addressed all my envelopes last night so hopefully my cards arrive today and I can post them all MOnday (Oh i have pre-stamped them all too!). I have NEVER done the Christmas card thing before and am super organised so far this year. DH nearly died when I told him how much I had spent on each card though - he's such a tight A$#@!
Ned is having a little grizzle and Lucie is watching sesame street. Ned was great at his vacs, haven't even given him any panadol. Only weighs 5.75kg though with nappy on and clothed (was 5.2kg about 3 weeks ago), so I was stressing about that a bit but trying not to let it worry me too much (yeah right!).
-
Soph you are so organized lol....well done lol. Ive got the envelopes coming from fletchie too so will have to wait to do mine...but so looking forward to seeing them. I got a shot of the 4 kiddies with their chrissy clothes and hats on and after about 10 tries got one i loved lol. Dontcha just love digital pics!!! Ned is still a great weight Soph..i can remember Sammy slowing down heaps but its all good...they cant grow at that rate forever!
Cass yay on selling the unit..must be a weight off your mind! Hope your earing turns up too...grrr at the *****y daycare ladies...its completely unacceptable! Thinking of you and hope your phonecall is a positive one.
Fattyboombah Sharnie is going crazy in the long grass next door..we moved her down from the paddock that we leased...they had a fire next to her yesterday so freaked her out a bit! Jess's orientation went really well....she had a ball..and dad was so excited to have family at school again. Em and Liv will be going to a different school so shes the only grandchild he will teach..so its something special for them. Darren is home tonight ..yay!!!! Hes worked tues, wed and thurs nights on top of normal day work and i miss him terribly....has a wedding tom night but oh well..can enjoy tonight.
Jo
-
LOL Soph, we actually have a name picked out for her but you'll never get it out of me!!! :p (Not until she's born anyway!) Wow, you are organised! Everyone will love your cards with the pic of Lucie & Ned, I bet. Please don't stess about Ned's weight gain! Even with the clothes and nappy, that is still good. It sounds like he is doing great.
Jo, thanks! Yeah, we have told a few people IRL. We're still not going to go out of our way to announce it, but if people ask we will probably tell. I've told my mum/stepdad and my sister and I'll tell my dad on the weekend if he wants to know. And I told a friend who had already guessed correctly anyway. I'm hopeless! Oh, and 7 teeth now, with another about to pop through. Just noticed you posted while I was typing...good to hear Jess' orientation went well. Enjoy your night with your husband!
Cass, hope you are enjoying your day off with Kaitlyn. And I hope you find your earring! With the way our littlies tend to find every little thing on the floor, Kaitlyn might find it for you! Congrats on selling your unit too.
How is everyone else doing?
Josh & I are having a pretty quiet day at home today. I have a lot to do to get ready to go away tomorrow but am still trying to find the energy to do it! I'm going to try to pop out to the shops later to buy a blow up pool floatie-type thing for Josh as Dad has a pool & we'll probably do a bit of swimming over the weekend. One that he can sit in and splash around in. Does anyone have anything like that that they can recommend?
-
Hi Everyone,
Bec - Totally understand about the name. I have a girls name I LOVE now and would consider #3 just in the hope of having another girl to use the name LOL! Lucie splashes aroound in th eold baby bath in our little courtyard. She loves it! Washes her doll (and stuffed toys  )
Jo - My cards arrived today and look fabbo!!!!! Can't wait to send them out. Will write on the back of them (if it works) and stuff the envelopes over the weekend.
Well I went to the MCHN today and Ned actually weighs 5.9kg - no nappy. Thought for peace of mind I'd have him weighed on the usual scales LOL. But had a good chat to the MCHN and am going to see a counsellor next week re my anxiety issues over eating and weight again. It all stems from Lucie's bad expereince I know, and I realise that I most definately had PND with her for some time. It's not as bad this time, I just hate the anxiety, it chews me up and consumes me and impacts on my relationship with DH. Anyway enough of my crap, but you guys are the only ones I tell about that stuff! Hope seeing someone helps though. Poor Ned, I'm forever shoving my bbs in his mouth and he ends up being a forced snacker as a result! Gotta try and hold out colse to 3 hours so he can have longer fuller feeds less often. I am a nutcase :help:
-
Thanks Brooke, that's actually where I was thinking of going!
Soph, it's not crap & you are not a nutcase! You know we are all here to listen. The counsellor sounds like a good idea and I really hope it helps. In the meantime, keep talking to us, ok?
I meant to say before...Tracey, do you have your house back to yourself now? :)
Ok, I can smell something REALLY bad...I had better go!
-
I'm sorry ladies, I am here, just haven't been feeling to good. Promise to catch up soon.
Soph, you are not a nutcase, I'm sure we all have had the same feelings re weight gain with our babies some stage or another. hope the counseling helps you out.
Urgh, come back later.
-
Hi Storm,
Was thinking that you had been a bit quiet...

Um, Maddy's part tomorrow is 10 of her friends, stereo in front yard, & a BBQ... Her choice & I am so glad coz my MS is wearing thin atm! grr but still glad, thankful & stoked to be preg! have booked in to FBC near us & I am glad it's really minimal intervention so I dont have my 1st appt til Jan 9th! When I'll be about 10-12 wks already!!! I must say I hate all those earlier check ups with my OB, whom no longer practises so i decided to go this way!

Hiya ladies
I love the weekends yay! lol
Bec cant wait to find out what you are calling your little princess! Its so much fun choosing names isnt it..and girls names..wow I found that so much easier than boys! Hope you are having a lovely weekend away and managed to find a floatie for Josh..there are some great ones around that hopefully he will love....cos Sammy hates his lol...and with summer creeping up we will be spending a lot of time at the beach so hope he starts liking it again!!!
Ohhhhh Soph....a girls name huh...lol....so ya think you will start trying again soon?? The cards sound so great too..I cant wait for mine..think Fletchie was trying to find some more magnets though..so am sure wont be long! The counsellor sounds like a fanastic idea to me...cos you had some quite trying times with Lucie..and then you can enjoy the kiddos that bit more.
Storm Im so sorry that you arent well...please rest up and join us when you are feeling better wont you you poor chookie...thinking of you.
Trace whoohoooo....your place to yourself again. I can imagine it must be a relief but then a sadness as well. Im glad you all got to spend some time with your family though...did you tell them about the pregnancy? Whoohooo on Maddy's birthday today...hope she has a ball!!!! The girls are going to different schools because a new one is being built in a subdivision where we used to live that is opening for em's year in 2008 from yr7..so next year is the start of our school finishing at year6. Im really happy about this and the little girls are happy to be able to be a part of a new school again and catch up with friends from their old school. Jess's year is the final year where they are taking kids from our area to the school she is going in. Im still not completely thrilled about where she is going....and our name is still on the private school waiting list just in case....My Dad being there is the only positive as there are 1100 there which to me just seems so huge lol! (10 year 8 classes)
Well we had a nice night last night putting up our Chrissy lights...the house looks great...best we have done yet and the kids are thrilled. Sammy is just so excited seeing Father Christmas everywhere..he hasnt got a word for him yet. Ive relented and am letting the girls stay over at their birth dad's and his girlfriends tonight on the provisio that there is stictly no drinking....:help: (him not the girls LOL). He has moved in with his girlfriend now that the baby is here and while I wish them the very best I worry about my own babies. Im very nervous..and I so hope things have changed...while their birth dad is great with the girls he has a few issues re relationships. The last time I let the girls stay there I got a phone call at midnight from them because they were scared and wanting to be picked up because of fighting going on between their birth dad and girlfriend...sigh.....I wish all grown ups could act like grown ups.
Have a lovely day everyone!!!
Jo

HI Girls ,
Soph I think that is a really positive move to see someone. These things are just caused by our crazy hormones and once you can talk to someone you will feel so much better!.
Trace Yay at having your house back ! sad though as I am sure you will miss them in a few days!. The party sounds great , relaxing and just nice!. Hope the MS goes away soon for you ..just keep nibbling on crackers to keep it at bay!.
Bec I hope you had a lovely weekend away at your dads.
Jo I hope the girls dad was responsible this weekend and they enjoyed themselves. Fattyboombah Sharnie sounds like she is living the high life! Maybe I can borrow her once a month so we dont have to mow the lawns hehe.
Well girls ...we lost our beloved fur boy on Friday night. I got the phone call from the specialist on Friday morning and she told me that his life would consist of weekly blood tests, Daily tablets for his heart problem they found and also the rare blood disease they found. Plus everytime his red blood cells got to high they would have to remove blood from him to reduce the amount of blood he had hence reducing the redblood cells. We looks at our beautiful 8.6Kg, broadnosed , big eyed black boy and we just decided we could not put him through that. He deserved better. So I spent most of Friday in the garden with him , I lay with him when Kaitlyn went to bed for her nap ...and then that night we took him to the vet and stayed with him while they put him down. I miss him soooooooooooooo much but I know it was the right choice ..even if I am crying as I type this!. He was the best cat in the world...so easy going , never got angry no matter what was done to him by Kaitlyn ..placid and wonderful ..anyway ..I love him and miss him but I am glad he is no longer in pain. Just so weird that this time 10days ago he was here and we had no idea what was coming .
On a happier note I change the sheets on Friday and my earing popped out into the middle of the bed!!!!!! what luck.
We also did our family photos today with the three of us so now I have my shot ready for chrissy cards! I think after our vets bills I may have to make my own this year rather then use Fletch ...bummer...next year.
Ok off to bed ...hi to everyone else!.
