Jo - Totally agree with you on the sleep front, it puts them right out of whack. Glad the girls liked the horses! Have a few days at home I say and rest up yourself a bit.
Brooke - Awesome re Charli's burn - what a relief! Oh and you really don't want a mobile bub!
Storm - How did you go at the docs?
Well scan kinda didn't go ok. I am only 17 weeks and I rang them on Monday and they said that would be ok (they gave me the date in the first place anyway). Radiographer gave us a look at bub and all looking ok, but he wants us to come back in a few more weeks. He said that before he started the scan - basically he likes them to be at least 18 so they can get a proper look at the heart. So slightly dissappointing but it means we get another look which is good. We're away for 2 weeks over Easter so we are back in May 1st - will be 21 weeks so should be able to see heaps! Guy was really nice and said all looking good. Bub measuring about 16 weeks 4/5 days so a few days smaller but no biggy I guess - although I do want a big bub! And he didn't charge us for today either - bonus!
-
Oh cool Soph...another peek very soon.

Hi Girls ,
Yea I am thinking as some of you have said that that is a lot of food!. Kaitlyn ate it yesterday but when I tried to give her lots for lunch she ended up vomiting up yogurt ( boy does that smell!) I feel like all I am doing is feeding her with the amount they want me to give her! But she seems to take it and stop when she is over it …mmm what to do !.
Brooke I don’t think you are underfeeding her …Kaitlyn did not eat as much today ..maybe she just liked that I offered it all to her yesterday . And now she does not finish her formula after dinner and I would still prefer her to be getting all that into her rather then solids ( if she wants it that is!). Thanks for the reassurance on the poo poos. And I am so glad Charli is all 100% in the burn dept ..let us know how you go at the Dr with the bites.
Yay Jo on you and all your family being vegetarian ..I think that is so wonderful!. I would love to be but DH is a big meat eater and I am to lazy ..I know that sounds bad. I take my hat off to you …we need more of you out there!. Kmart is having a sale at the moment as well , I picked up the most adorable skivvies for only $2.99 each! Great for around the house or walks and trips to the shops!. LOL on the grunting ..how cute!.
Soph you poor thing ..so horrible when you are sleep deprived , especially when you are working to grow another little bubba!. Don’t wish to hard for a big bubba …after having a 9pound 2Oz bubba over a 26.5 labour my body SUFFERED…..I even had to have pelvic floor physio! Ohhh the joys of motherhood hehe.
Storm how did you go at the Dr with Zac?. I hope the little trooper is feeling better.
We had another night sleeping unwrapped last night and Kaitlyn is sleeping soundly as I type. I don’t want to jinx it but it has not been as hard as I expected. The only issue is that now as she is falling asleep she plays with her feet and ends up rolling over all the time hehe so cute . I go in and she is flipped over with her legs poking out the side of the cot.
I tried Kaitlyn on tuna today and it was not a success! ..so I made her some veges . The first food she has rejected!
I hope you are all having a nice night..I am off to finish my Baileys and then have an early night as I am up resettling Kaitlyn as she gets used to no wrap and sleeping through the night again ..luckily I am usually only up 45mins through the night so it is not as bad as I expected…oh god I bet now she has a bad night !
-
Gosh I am such a panick girl!. I just posted about Kaitlyn rolling in her cot ..I have been in about three times and she is on her side or tummy or accross the cot ..so now I am worried about her rolling in her sleep..gosh am I a worry wart?
-
Cass - Don't worry about Kaitlyn rolling too much in her sleep. Lucie prefers to sleep on her tum by far, and if she can roll over, she can roll back again. Re the food - yeap it sounds like tonnes to me - more than I would probably eat!
A terrible night here. I was up an hour and a half with Lucie before I gave up and tooke her to bed in the spare room. I tried to give her Neurofen but she screamed but I had some success with panadol. Not sure what the go is. Then DH and I had a fight at midnight cos he said he would get up and put her to sleep in the cot cos she can't get used to sleeping with us. So tonight I plan to go to bed really early so I can get up to settle her. And then this morning she was totally uninterested in solids again. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hello Everyone!!!!!!!!! Hope you all come back soon - I've been so crazy without BB!
-
Yeap Fletch I have - but my forum link took me back here this time instead of the other page with the link. Does that mean that this is back and running and the test forum isn't?
-
Both are still running for the moment Soph. This one will be transferred to the test forum format at some stage soon.
-
Ah thanks guys, just figured that out for myself too. Wow bonus - we've gone from having no BB, to having 2!!!!
-
What will happen is all of the info on here, avatars, posts, etc etc will all be transferred over so it will be the regular "old" BB, just with the new format.
LOL at Schnapps Fletch, are you offering some??
-
Oh Ive missed you girls sooo much :( so nice to be back on here!
Jo
-
Hey girls, just popping in to say a quick hello to you all while I can!! :smt039
Catch up soon!
-
YAYAYAYAYYA thank goodness we are back up ! I have been checking everynight hoping! . I cant believe how much I rely on our little chats!. Even my DH highfived me when I told him BB was back up hehehe.
How is everyone going?.
Kaitlyn and I both have the flu :-( we have since Friday! Other then that we are all going well. Kaitlyn is rolling in her cot and sometimes sleeps on her side which will be good for her flat head!. And some nights she is sleeping through ...argh amazing!.
Still no sitting or crawling ..did you girls do anything to help the littlins along?.
Man it is good to have you back ...it is like exhaling Yay ( oh god I sound like Whitney housten in the body guard!)
-
Cass I so know what you mean. I was going insane without bb...geeezh i admit it ..i have no life 8-[ but yipeee its up and running again..and i pray we never have to go through that experience again!!!
I encouraged Sammy to sit by getting him sitting toys and cushions all around him. It really didnt take him very long to get the hang of it. With crawling though..we are still waiting lol. I do get him to have a lot of tummy time though..he was tending to not really like that. I have persevered though and he is now moving his way all around the floor on his tummy and has at times rocked on all fours. Im sure little missy will get the hang of it when shes ready. My dd Olivia didnt crawl til she was 12 months!!!
Sounds like Kaitlyn is going great with her sleeping though..that must be so great for you. We still have a few wakes during the night but I really cant complain. Sammy flips onto his tummy too for sleeps...wont sleep on his back at all...arent they funny little buggers?!!!
Hope you both recover from the flu quickly
Jo

yay we are back, even thought I don't post every day, I missed BB soo much.
Maria is now sitting up by herself tentively (I still suround her with boomerang pillows but she doesn't use them to balance anymore.
Hope all bubs and mums are well and (over the flu).
-
Hi Everyone,
Oh yeah so nice to be back....but I'm going on holidays tomorrow for 2 weeks with no computer  But it will be lovely to get away and my mum and DH's parents are coming to visit and so are a few friends (we've booked a holiday house at the beach!).
Glad you all sound ok - Cass hope you all recover from the flu. Don't stress too much about sitting and crawling. With sitting I put Lucie in front of her little piano thing which she leaned on a bit till she got the hang of things. And crawling - she just kinda started on her own. I used that barrel thing but that was all we really did to encourage it - believe me YOU DON"T WANT IT! We actually 'lost' Lucie the other day. In literally 30 secs she managed to get from one end of the house to the other. She's a speed demon!
Jo - Are you guys away for Easter at all?
Hi Louise! Maria sounds (and looks!) so cute!
Hi Fletch, Storm, Tracey and everyone (sorry I have really bad pg brain!).
Ok off to make Lucie's breakfast....
-
Morning everyone!
Have a great holiday soph!
-
Hey Storm! How is Zaccy going? Has he turned into hungry man yet? Lucie has been going ok food wise. Monday she cried and fought with me on every bottle which I hate, it's horrible! Yesterday she was a bit better though. She is loving avocado again - has nearly half for breakfast and half for dinner which is good - full of fat to stack on that weight  Fingers crossed anyway!
-
 Soph Zaccie's been pretty bad, hasn't has solid food for nearly 2 weeks & wont drink all his milk 1/2 the time either. His cold has really drained him +the asthma & now he has the most discusting skin infection you could ever imagine. A tiny little spot is turning into a humumgus weepy 50c size mess, he has 1 on his chin, shoulder & a huge ****** on his back. He is on antibods now, but it is so sad looking at him & I am really ****ed off too, these things had better not scar!
Yay for Lucie eating well Soph, as for formula, I just think , it wont be long till it's finished with & solid food is their main nutrition, ggrrr at having to fight her to drink it, I soo hate those days too, but what can we do? They'll have it if they want it ;)
-
Oh & somehow this month he has managed to gain 700gms \:D/
He can sit fairly well on his own ( cant leave him though) & the comando- drag style crawling is slowly getting more like a real crawl.
-
Oh Storm big hugs to Zac ...I really hope he gets better soon. Maybe when the sores start healing apply Pure Vitamen E from the capsule to them ..not sure if we can do that for babies although I am sure you could ( maybe post and ask someone ).
Soph your holiday sounds lovely!. We are going away for 2nights to our favourite place in Port Stephens this weekend and I cant wait! So I can only imagine how excited you are about two weeks.
Anyone else going away for Easter?
Opps ..better run ...just heard Kaitlyn through her dummy out of the cot and I have to finish cooking the miracle chicken soup I am counting on making us all better [-o<
-
Wow Storm 700g is absoloutly fantastic!!!! I am sooooo jealous! How does he do it? Poor boy on the sores - hope they fix up soon. He certainly has been in the wars, poor little thing and poor mummy. Hugs matey.
Cass - Hope your soup is the miracle cure.
Just made the sauce for the fish for Good Friday Dinner - making preserved lemon and basil risotto with sweet pea sauce and salmon fillets. Hope everyone likes it!
-
mmm soph that sounds so good!.
Soup was a nightmare ..just posted on it. I think I contaminated the cooked chicken with raw chicken and then gave it to Kaitlyn before I realised ..arghhh .Feel like a silly ..bad mummy!. Anyway I will have to watch her and I sure will be more careful in future!.
We always do the fish on good friday as well . I am not religious as in go to church ect but we never eat meat on good Friday. We always go up to my nans on the central coast and do a big roast vege and fish lunch for her ..she loves it!.
mmmm gosh I feel like your risotto now! wish DH liked Risotto.
We will miss you while you are away ! Lucie will have changed so much by the time you post again hehe.
-
Hi everyone,
its been so busy around here and then with BB down.....Ive just done a quick scan and will try to catch up more soon, but just wanted to say a big :smt039 HI :smt039 to you all while I have a few minutes!
Actually in some ways it was good that BB was down, had a huge assingment due in (still going, grrr, very overdue now!). James is fine, getting closer to crawling, top 2 teeth are through, and he through his "fruit and yoghurt" phase, thank goodness, and eating lots of other stuff!
Storm, I hope poor Zac is better soon, poor little guy.
Hugs to everyone else and have a lovely long weekend. Promise to catch up more soon!
We are off to my parents (in Corowa near Albury) tomorrow for a few days. Its an 8 hour drive....hope it all goes OK! Havent done it since xmas.
Happy Easter and stay safe everyone!
Georgie
-
Oh Fletch I just want to kiss Zanes gorgeous dimpled cheeks!
Georgie - Ouch an 8 hour drive! Be safe and have fun.
Cass - Oh no I did see your other post! I'm sure all will be fine though. DH doesn't like risotto either, but we are having 5 other adults, so bugger it, and I love it!
Storm - Thanks for your post in Lucie's guest book. And I am more than happy to pay for dinner if Zac and Lucie go out - let's face it they won't eat much :cryinglaugh:
-
Hey there, Been so busy at work & life etc!!!
All is groovy here with us...
Hey Fletch did you pop the photo's Scott took from the meet anywhere?
Ok gotta fly...
-
Hi all!
Brooke - Sorry to hear about your nightmare! I posted in the other forum about it.
Sorry I am frantically running around trying to organise for the trip. Why do our DH's think it is so easy to go away anywhere - ie just throw a few things in the car and go??? I wish! And to make things worse I have been throwing my guts up this am - not ms I don't think, hoping it's not a bug or food poisoning.
Anyway have a lovely Easter everyone and I will be back in 2 weeks - 2 weeks  how will I cope without BB and you guys????? Hope all the bubs behave and you all eat a heap of chocolate because Easter calories are non existent.
-
Have great trips , Soph & Brooke Yikes 2 weeks Soph  you lucky thing you!
I am not venturing too far these hols, at trip to my mum's, that's about it.
Although that is far enough, Man , they don't even get mobile phone reception out there  hehe.
Hi to all , we just got back from our Easter Hat Parade, & it rained!!
Have a great day ladies!
-
Hiya ladies..bye soph and brooke..have a lovely easter break you lucky things you.
Hello to everyone else. It all feels sooo busy at the moment..am not getting enough time to plant my butt in front of the comp and type!
My brother is coming to stay Sunday from Broome..he hasnt met Sammy yet so will be so lovely seeing him. The kids are all super excited. We have no plans these hols to go away really at all cept to perth. We have Jess's birthday in the second week of the hols...so will be plenty busy i think.
I went Easter shopping yesterday..geezh its like Christmas with the big holiday rush. Thankfully its finished though.
I nearly cried this morning. The kids had their anzac service at school and Jess had a piece that she had written read out..it was so beautiful and Em sang in the choir..aww proud mummy day!
Well have a little boy getting bored so best go entertain him.
Jo
-
Hi Girls ,
have great holiday breaks for everyone going away.
Jo enjoy your brother coming ! . I have been to broome once and LOVED it!. That is so nice about your little ones...I hope our kids still honour the Anzacs the way we do ...although it looks like the future may still be safe in their little hands hey!.
Well good news here girls...Kaitlyn is sitting! only for a minute or so at a time and she still kinda falls sideways sometimes but she is getting it!. We are so proud and I think she is pretty chuffed with herself as well!.
I hope the easter bunny is good to you all. Ours has already come and we ate some tonight hahaha.
We are off to Shoal Bay ( Port Stephens) for a couple of nights so I will speak to you all in a few days.
Cass

Hi Everyone!
Happy Easter.
We went to taronga zoo today! What a busy busy day.
It was great though.
Fletch I must say, you sure have a good looking bubba there!!
Have fun Ladies.
-
It was great, but very, very busy. I felt like running half the people over with the pram, some people just dont freaking move over for you :fuming:
Heaps of fun, despite them  especially when we lost the bigger kids ;) Oh & the price of food in there
-

Hi Girls ,
I hope you have all had lovely Easters!. I hear you on the to much Choccie ..ohhhh I feel ill!. Why is it I have no self control at all when Easter eggs are in the house!.
We had a great time at Port Stephens . We took Kaitlyn to Oakdale Farm and fed everything from goats to a donkey!. I am not sure who enjoyed it more ..DH and I or Kaitlyn!.
Brooke I hope you weekend away is just what you need to feel a bit better...I hope all is ok .
Chat later!
Cass

Cass
-
We just let Sammy chomp on his toothbrush..he loves it
Jo
-

Hope you all had a lovely Easter & I an tell you I LOVED spending 4 full days at home with the family!!!!
-
Thanks girls ..I will try the face washer tonight and get her a tooth brush tomorrow.

Hi everyone, and best Easter wishes....and get well wishes to those rolling around with choccy-induced tummy-aches! ;) Sounds like everyone had really nice breaks.
All is well in our house, although James has been a bit variable on the eating this last week. Very frustrating :-k We had a really nice visit with my parents, although it was a bit chilly down near Albury! The drive down and back was fine, James slept quite a bit and one of us sat in the back for the waking times to play with him. Its hard work being stuck in one place for so many hours. Both DH and I barely got a "hello" when we arrived, Nana and Grandpa only had eyes for James! And my mum nearly threw us out the door when I suggested she babysit for a few hours so DH and I could go and have a nice lunch! She couldnt wait to get rid of us, and seemed quite disappointed when we came back after only 2 hours. And it was a nice lunch too...
Cass, I do the same as the others (when I remember  ) in that I just use a little soft "first toothbrush" in the morning and evenings. James loves to chomp on it too. And now we have 4 toofies, its almost worth the effort!!!
Storm, I hear you on the pram ignoramuses! I have been known to ram people and then say "sorry, Im still learning to drive this thing, silly me" - although thats not cutting it now that James is sitting up in the pram grinning away! The zoo sounds ace though. Is Zac better this week?
How is everyone else getting on? LOL at Zane loving his daddy-time sooo much, Fletch! Hope you got some things done!!
But Id better get back to my study, I'll be so glad when this one is over!
Take care everyone.
Georgie
p.s. is it me or have we lost the "search" facility in this new incarnation of BB forums??
-
:smt043 Fletch, you crack me up!!!!!!!!!
I try to brush Zac's teeth, but he just wants to chomp on the toothbrush!!
