Hi guys!
Sorry it's been a while since I've checked up on you all. I just don't seem to get the time to get on the computer these days, and even if I do my darling DH is usually playing WoW!
Glad to see that mums and bubs are doing really well!! I hope we all had a fantastic first Christmas with our first/newest little ones. We had a great day... our friends and their kids came for breakfast (4 adults and 5 kids under 4!!!) and my Mum and Nan came for lunch. Everything went smoothly though and it was so exciting watching Bas open his (and most of Ollie's) presents!!
Anyway, I promise to try and make more time to come in and chat. I really miss being able to veg out in front of the telly with the laptop and just chat!
Hope everyone stays well and makes it through the rest of summer without melting!! Thank god we got a heat pump put in just before Chrissy.. I would be dying with out the air con!!
See you all again soon... hopefully!

Ha, we had a fun night last night trying to get Lucas to go to sleep!! he just wouldn't stop rolling in his cot, so I put some rolled up towels next to him and he got so frustrated he cracked it back time!! I think the dummy is going to become our new best friend!!! lol!!! he's been doing lots more rolling today, i've had the video camera permanently on him!!
Zola - how great to hear from you! sounds like all is well with you :-) don't be a stranger and come back soon!!
Kelly - how annoying about going out for dinner and it not being pram friendly!! grrr!!
Sarah - glad you had a good holiday.......i'm sure William will roll soon, i've been saying that about Lucas for ages and he surprised me by actually doing it!
Did you end up going out last night?
Leah - I think I still have an email address for dd - i'll email her and tell her about the meetup? I will try my hardest to come - oh, what day is it going to be on? a weekend?? if so, I can definitely come as DH could take me to the train station - during the week he has the car so I couldn't come if it was a week day.......i'd also be able to leave Lucas at home with him!!
Kat

-
Leah - i've just emailed dd so hopefully she will reply and/or get on here soon!
-
Kat - Once they start rolling they love doing it all the time, glad you got it on video.
Zola - Great to hear from you (hmmm didn`t I just say that in our Jan - June 05 thread LOL) It`s hard with two little ones, not much me time but it`s all worth it.
Kelly - Did you enjoy your night other then having to lift the prams over the table?
Leah - Hope your headache is better today.
Sarah - Yay for William`s first night in the cot.
Both boys are in bed and I should be getting the clothes off the line and fold them before Matthew wakes up as he loves helping Mummy but his method of folding is trying everything on, he had Mark`s underpants on the other day, his whole body through one leg of the underpants, it looked like a skirt LOL
-

Places where we could meet...
We had a meetup last year in the Fitzroy Gardens. It was nice and there is a cafe there we can go to if it's raining. There are trams going past but not sure how easy they are for prams as they may be the older style on that route.
The other idea I had was to go to the Myer resturant (not far from Melb Central station) or the food court at Crown as that is a quick walk to Southern Cross.
Any other Melbourne girls have some ideas?
-
Maybe even the botanical gardens, except thats a fair walk from SC station... If you change trains to go to Flinders St station they have a garden in there thats all blocked off called the "Children's Garden" and its great (its just near the Shrine on St Kilda Rd - behind it if i remember rightly..) i will more than likely have all 3 children, as DH is working the whole long weekend (Big Day Out).
But count me in! I have no more weekends left in jan now... The Sexyland trip this sat, a Western Bulldogs family day in glen waverly the sat after and this the sat after that!! Lovin' it :)
Simone, Xander, Declan and Miss Anneliese... We're all coming!! (if DH is only working the sunday, he'll be there too...)
-
BTW the food court at crown is mostly crappy overpriced asian food, and will have a 10% markup on everything as its a long weekend... I just thought of that.
-
I don't mind where we meet. I just need to know what time you guys prefer to meet as I may have to work some of the day.
Is there anywhere at Fed Square maybe?
-
Fed square is too open and if it is a hot day it way too hot there..
Charlotte decided it was play time at 4:30 this morning, grrrr i tried to get her back to sleep but she wanted a chat so we were up until 6am and then back to sleep till 8am, i thought i would be tired, but i am not really.
-
Hi girls happy new year to you and your bubbies!!!
I was impressed with my efforts, we went to DH's mates place with 3 other couples. Emilia slept in a room all night (everyone forgot she was there) and had a really nice seafood bbq, lots of champers and poker! Went to bed around 2... was great!!!
Is anyone experiencing a change in sleep pattern this last 2 weeks? Em has been waking around 3 every morning for the last 2 weeks. She generally isnt hungry just cant resettle... its driivng us nuts!
-
Hello all!!
Mmmm, where to meet???!! if I come alone, I don't care really as it's obviously easier being by myself and being able to jump on a tram, etc, but if DH and Lucas were to come then we'd probably have to drive....parking is such a nightmare though!! so I might just come by myself (sorry Leah!!!) I guess somewhere outside would be good, but somewhere that has a cafe or something sheltered.......Fitzroy Gardens sounds good Sammi, where exactly are they though?! (i'm really bad with Melbourne and were everything is!!)
Leah - I just got an email back from dd, and she would love to come to the meet, but they may be going away that weekend - but i've to text her and let her know all the details and she'll try her best. This is what she said in her email:
Can you say hi to everyone for me and let them know I'm doing pretty well now and kyana and Shynelle are doing well too - I miss you all so much but as you could understand life is very busy now and it's hard to get on to either of my sister's pc's to check out bb.
------------------------------------------------------
So lets get our heads together and decide on somewhere!

Ooops, meant to say hi to you Danni!! sounds like you had a good new year :-)
How strange Emilia has been waking up through the night.....she could be having a growth spurt??
-
Dannikq - Adrian is going through a strange sleeping phrase too, he`d sleep from 7.30 till 6/6.30am but now he`s up twice before I go to bed and the last two night been waking up at night.
The Melbourne meet up sounds great girls, wish I could be there
-
Hey Deeanne exactly.... she has always been brilliant sleeper down 7:30pm then up 6:00am earliest.. but now the usual wake time is 3am (which is still good as its only once but when you've had a bub sleeping through then this i feel like we are going backwards!) we change her nappy and give her some water and she usually goes back to sleep, last night though i had to get up and give her a bit of boobie as she was a bit peeved... and she sometimes has a grizzle around 10pm too just when we go to bed but its only for a minute and she's off to sleep again. its weird! This business has been going on for 2 weeks now! i had been warned by a few people they go through a sleep thing around this age so i really hope its just a phase! that;s what i keep telling myself!
today i took Emilia to the pools with her 10 cousins was great, she is knackered and still sleeping now! gotta love the pool!!
wish i could come and meet all you girls but Perth is just too far! no tram ride or driving for me!!!
-
deeanne how did you put your pic of adrian on your ticker???
-
Danni - i go to lilypie (dot com) and it has the option to add a photo onto the ticker. it does it all for you :)
-
OH, and i forgot to add... Anneliese slept through last night!! Well it was a sleep through for me, DH was up at 1am giving her a cuddle, i think she was just cold and wanted a cuddle, she didnt have a feed... as long as i didnt wake up i dont care!!
-
Simone that's great!
Girls i just made a quick website with pics of my little girl on there, just click on the link in my signature!
-
Danni~ I just checked out the website. You have a gorgeous little girl there!!
Simone~ I am guessing that you and your DH are back on track. That is great news, I hope it all works out for you.
William has been so clingy today. It is making me exhausted!!! He is finally having a sleep without me. He also has started waking in the night, but I think it's just because I have put him in his cot. He stirs a little and I put the dummy in and he is straight back to sleep. So it's no big deal really. He has also started kicking off the blankets so I think I will be investing in one of those sleeping bag things for the cooler weather as I think he wakes up because he is cold too.

-
Danni, Emilia is just gorgeous... i love her hair!! And those eyes, they reminds me of Xanders' when he was younger... you have a beautiful little princess there :D
Just a lazy day here, cant be bothered getting up and doing anything. Did all the dishes last night at 11pm... if i get motivated enough to just clean the lounge room, the house will look passable if anyone decides to drop in (as if!!)
-
I just posted and it has vanished into cyber space!!
Leah~ Have you asked your MCH if they can join you up to a mothers group of younger mums??
Simone~ Have a lazy day while you can!
Well I am off to Chaddy!! I have an invitation from Country Road - 50% off the already reduced prices!!! I love their kids stuff and William looks really cute in it.
Sarah
-
Have fun sarah :) You going to come to the meet on jan 27?? :)
-
thanks guys, yes everyone always comments on her hair! its so cute!
Em slept to 5.45 this morning'; with a feed she went straight down to sleep till 9am so i am hoping this is the beginning of the end with her waking business. I've got a feeling though that is because she was swimming yesterday and then we were out 10 pm last night... tonight will tell!
-
Lucas is back to having really short day sleeps, it feels like he is constantly awake during the day!! but he isn't happy just to amuse himself......I have no time for anything!
Danni - great to hear Emilia slept through last night, fingers crossed it continues! she is just soooo adorable :-)
Sarah - you lucky thing going shopping! i've never been to Chaddy before :-(
Simone - yay for Anneleise nearly sleeping through!!
Leah - hope you had fun at the fitness class.
Got to go and put Lucas to bed - DH is with him now, but doesn't realise we have a routine to stick to!!!!!

dannik - Adrian is a 3am wake up boy now as well. Matthew did exactly the same thing but it lasted until he was 10 months and at times I`d have to get up to him at least 4 times throughout the night, it wasn`t too good considering I was also pregnant with Adrian, I always offer the bb when Adrian wakes, it seems easier then trying to battle with him to go to slep again and I have to try and keep him quiet as Mark gets up each morning at 2am to milk the cows but I agree with you that after them sleeping through it gets exhausting having to get up to them each night again, let`s hope both Adrian and Emilia decide to sleep through again SOON.
Sarah - Have a great spending spree
Simone - Enjoy your lazy day
Not sure if I told you girls I went to the Dr yesterday as I have a UTI, I am prone to them but haven`t had one since Matthew was a young baby so that was about 16 months ago.
Adrian is wanting to sit up I better go and sit him up :D
-
Damn it being in sydney Kelly - Anneliese is a dummy lover (im in trouble atm 'cause i cant find one for her...) but she's about a month shy of 8m anyway (and tiny for her age) Hope to see one of our own up there!!
-
Bummer William isn't 8 months. I wouldn't mind spending a few days in Sydney!
-
Same here... do they pay for you to go to sydney though?? Its an ongoing contract over 12-24 months... be a nice income supplement!
-
Hi Simone - How's things??
-
Not bad, not looking forward to the next 2 days though... had my heater on this morning as i was FREEZING, then it got pretty warm today, tomorrow's gonna be 36 and thurs 38... urgh. So just trying to get trough my housework and washing tonight so i can sit down and relax tomorrow.
You?? How's William??
-
William is SPECTACULAR!!! lol I say that to everyone when they ask how he is.
He is starting to teeth but he is being really good about it. He is starting to dribble ALOT too. I little bonjella every so often seems to be helping.
I am so glad that we invested in ducted cooling a couple of years ago as William hates the heat. I think I will get his kiddy pool out for the first time tomorrow.
I wish I could come to the sexyland meet on the weekend but I'm working. What's so great about sexyland anyway. Aren't all the adult stores the same?
-
yeah, but we just thought it might be funny to meet up and do some naughty shopping. Sexyland was the one we picked. i've never been in one before, we have adultshop in WA
-
Sarah- how did you get an invite to counrty road like that? I would be in it as well. I love al those sorts of clothes but noramlly don't have that knid of money. We might have to do a meet up at chaddy or DFO.
Simone- its going to way to hot, i have a 4th birthday tomorrow, but at least they will have air con as its in a play centre.
Leah- have a talk to your health nurse about yourself getting into contact with other mums your age, she should put you through to some mums.
Well i am off to a party tomorrow and then Madison is in Childcare on thursday.
I got myself a new phone today it is the nokia 6288, its very nice.
-
Kelly~ I can't remember how but CR gave me a loyalty card. It must have been when we were building the house and I bought lots of stuff!! I love all of their homewares. Stupid me thought today was Weds, so if I want anything I have to go back tomorrow. lol holidays always make me get days confused! Have fun at the party!
-
Let me know when you're free for a meet up. Do you do the BB SE meetups?
-

Sorry to butt in!

Hi ladies it has been ages since i was on last, the wee thing at the top of the page tells me i last visited October 26th!!! A big hi to kat, leah, sammi, danni, simone, dd and all the other aug belly buddies!
We are doing well Finn is now almost 20 weeks and is a lovely wee fella. As for sleeping we are having issues too. For probably the last 6 weeks he has been waking for feeds through the night every 3 hours! i have been shattered. We went camping just after xmas and he slept much better in the tent at night than he has at home for ages. Last night though was more like his old habits and he went down just after 9pm and woke at 4am for a feed, i was stoked then he got up this morning about 7.45am.
He is a happy wee fella and is almost rolling over, he tries so hard but just cant get that wee bit further, no doubt it wont be long. He still wont take a bottle for me which is frustrating for a bit of freedom but i also havent tried for a while as i kinda just gave up for a bit as it was making feeding too stressful by pushing him.
We have started solids and he is still kinda just playing with it but eating a wee bit which is exciting.
Well the wee man needs a feed so better go but hi girls, sorry i have been so slack but i am sure you all find it hard to get time to sit at the computers too.
take care and i will check in again soon
xx amy
