Thanks Shine
William has been a little unsettled today so I made his bottle up to 125ml and he drank it all and is now fast asleep. 100ml obviously just wasn't enough for him anymore.
I sometimes wonder what I would do without BB!
Sarah
Hey girlies and babies!!
I'm soooo happy today!! we had Lucas's 4 week checkup with the maternal nurse, and he's put on 720 grams in just over 2 weeks, yaaay!!!! he now weighs 3.6kgs, and he's grown 2.5cm in length!! so he's my big boy now! I just changed him before and thought i'd try him in a size 000, it fits well in length, but is still a little big on the body.
Sarah - i'm slowly weaning Lucas, and he's been drinking anywhere between 90ml to a full bottle of 120ml at a feed, I guess it just depends on how hungry they are? what formula do you use?
Leah - you do give me a giggle!! how cute singing those songs to Lucy, she obviously loves it!!
I couldn't co-sleep with Lucas, i'd be too scared i'd roll onto him!
As for DTD, we haven't done it since I was about 13 weeks pregnant, and i'm kind of scared too....am going to wait until after my 6 week check-up.
Danni - I've been expressing every now and again (before we decided to wean Lucas onto formula) not sure where that person who told you about not doing it before 6 weeks heard it from?? i'd keep trying - are you hand expressing or using a pump? I had to hand express for the first week to top up Lucas (as he was a bad sucker!!) and I could barely get anything, but I borrowed a manual pump from my sister-in-law and it's heaps easier.
Nat - Lucas does a poo nearly every nappy!!
Simone - have a great holiday!
Hi to everyone else.....
Kat
xx
Thats ok Sarah! ur william must of just been hunrgy! With formula the nurses told me to not pack in the formula in the little measuring spoon either cause it iwll just make it more concentrated and can give them constipation. are u using any Colic medicines? Im usuing 'infants friend' which is wind drops and it keeps lucy regular cause formula bubbies dont poo everyday! (as Im sure u know) but it helps with burping her too as soon as I bring her up to burp she will belch so I definatly recomend it!
Kat~ I didnt know u were changing??? how come?? not to b nosey or anything just feel better hearing of others changing to formula as it was a big deal for me... Im using S26 which is pretty good some ppl say bubs can get constipation from it and as i said before I use wind drops and give her an extra 5mls of water which seems to work lovely! apparently the S26 Gold is better cause it has fish oil in it but its more expensive... Oh and lucas will probly start not pooing so much on formula... just be careful that u make sure he doesnt get constipated! when i first changed lucy she did a big nugget! it was horrible I dont know how she got it out! Oh and lucas will probly let u get some rest on formula YAY 4 U!!!! sorry I have rambled HTH even though u didnt ask 4 help :o
Does anyone feel like they cant trust daddy with there baby?? WHAT IS WITH THAT!?!?! I freak out seeing him feed her cause I think he is doing it wrong but then i complain casue he always has somethin else to do when i want him to bath her or nappy change her or feed her!!! I feel like he doesnt help but I spose he has to work and stuff....mmmm I think too much I think!...
Hey leah, i wihs DH would help me more with Anneliese... He's scared of changing her, as he doesnt want to wipe her "bits..." Its a lil annoying, as atm i have 3 children in nappies (xander went back in them when we moved across the country, dont know why...) And i would love not to have to change 3 *****ty bums a day...
Anyway, i made it to perth in one piece... will recommend QANTAS to anyone... the stewards were brilliant, helping me with the kids the entire 4 hour flight. Even helping me get them off the plane and waiting with me until my family showed up.
Going out tonight, my lil siter (she's almost 21!!) is taking me to local pub, just some sisterly fun...
Hopefully ill be back on here at LEAST once a day to chat... normally i spend most of the day on here!! (im sad...)
Leah - thanks heaps for what you wrote!! it really did help! how funny too that you mentioned that Infants Friend stuff, as the maternal nurse recommended it to me yesterday, so they're ordering it in at the locak pharmacy for me!
I decided to wean Lucas because, to be honest, i'm just exhausted bf!! he feeds sooo much, and it's really just taking too much out of me (maybe i'm just pathetic?!) plus, I thought it'd be nice for DH to feed him - and it means I can a rest!!! so it all sounds really selfish my reasons don't they?! oh well, at least I gave him over 4 weeks of breast milk - and he's still getting 3 bf a day as i'm weaning him slowly so not to get sore boobies!!! (oh and we're using the S26 Gold!)
Simone - glad to hear you made it to Perth! enjoy your time there :-)
Kat
xx
Kat~ Please don't feel like you're being pathetic. I too felt I was too exhausted while BF. I figured if we were both happier and got more sleep with formula then it was the best choice for us.
We are using Karicare Gold. It must have been a good choice for us as William still poos everyday at least once.
Shine~ I will keep that info re: the colic medicine in mind. At the moment I don't need it , but you never know!! As I told Kat above, we're using Karicare Gold.
In my house the bath is daddys job, I'm not allowed to do it. He likes having his time with William and seems as I have never done it as it has always been daddys job from the start I think I would be too scared to do it now! But when it comes to everything else I like to do it all, I'm the same as you I freak out that he isn't burping him properly etc!
Sarah
Simone~ I cant beleive ur doing 3 nappies a day u poor thing!? mayb Xander has changed back to nappies cause he feels insecure about moving across the country?? just a thought...
Kat ~ Glad the info helped! the infants friend stuff is TOTALLY awesome!!! helps them burp so much easier!!! and dont think ur being selfish AT ALL! I was exasuted too thats why i gave up otherwise I would of gone crazy by now! and over 4wks of Bf is awesome some dont get ANY!!! u go girl! ur doin an awesome job!
Sarah~ mayb I should give danny a job to do that only HE can do....
We had the biggest fight last night but on the way to the shops tonight we got it all sorted...i dint feel loved at all these last 6wks with him and i told him... I just felt like I was holding our family together and he didnt care, He does he just shows it in a different way like working too much. he said I have been SO grumpy latly and i know why IM EXAUSTED!!!! Lucy HATEs being out down she ALWAYS wants to b picked up and held its driving me mental! she sleeps well throught the night cause she is asleep right next to me but in the day she is awake ALOT! i recon she would of been awake for the majority of the day today zept dozing off every now and then... she slept dont get me wrong just kept waking and crying and being poopy...she only goes to sleep if I hold her...mmmm something I will just have to push through on... and danny said sorry and said he is gonna b more sensative... I think I just 'need him' and if he was more affectionate I think I would b better... i dunno...
well have a great nite girls thanks for leting me blab... nyte xoxoxo
Leah ~ do you find the hugabub helps with being able to do things?
Sarah ~ I just had a look at your photos and your little boy is GORGEOUS!!!!
Kat ~ 4 weeks is a brilliant effort, hun :)
Nat - oooh, there is Zain in your ticker!! how gorgeous is he?!!! how is he doing?
Sarah - thanks for saying i'm not pathetic! as you said, I think having a happy mum counts for alot :-) how is William getting on?
My DH loves bath time too - I do help him wash Lucas but he does all the holding of him - think i'd be too scared to do it all by myself too!!
I agree with Nat - your photos are just gorgeous! they look so professional - are they?! and the one of William lying on the sheet in the nude is so precious!
Leah - oh, i'm sorry to hear you and Danny had a fight! but am glad you have made up, and have sorted things out.....i've found since Lucas was born that i've really had to work at my relationship with my DH....it's not like we have the time we used to have together, and some days I think we barely talk! it is hard.....
Question - those wind drops (just got them from the pharmacy) do you give them to Lucy before she feeds? and how many drops? i'm going to try them with Lucas when he wakes up, hope he likes them!
Guess what???! my parents arrive tomorrow evening from Scotland to stay with us for just under 6 weeks!! yaaaay! we haven't seen them since February, and they've obviously not seen Lucas yet - he is their first grandchild so everyone is very excited!! I can't wait to have my mum take over - for once I won't put up a fight!!
Hope everyone else is doing well, and having a good weekend!
Kat

Hi ladies!
Haven't had much time lately just a quickie now to say Hi and thinking of everyone!
Leah, Kyana is on a medicated formula cause she has chronic reflux "Neocate" but I'm an advocate for NANHA1 I used this with Shynelle cause the S26 caused constipation in almost every child I know that was on it but each to their own. I am not injecting anymore I'm on Warfaren but I have to have a blood test almost everyday cause they need to check my INR levels and they won't seem to stabilise (don't ask me what INR stands for I wish I knew!) but I will have to be on these until October and then I have to have some more tests done to see where I'm at. My bleeding just stopped about the day before my 6 weeks appointment YAY!!!!!!!!
I too love co sleeping but am way too scared I'll roll onto my precious bubba so don't really do it plus anytime DH catches me he flips out! Kyana is sleeping really well most nights now except last night she was cranky from about 2 til 5 she is alittle constipated on this new formula so I think she has a sore tummy. I am giving her Coloxyl drops to help but it's still not enough. Has anyone got any other sugestions to help??
Kat - So happy you're gonna see your parents!
Simone - Hope your enjoying Perth and relaxing on your break!
Also Kyana had her injections this week cause the nurse told me it was ok to give them from 6 weeks and she screamed the whole place down and then went to sleep she was really good you wouldn't even know she had them. Shynelle was the opposite she would be sick with a temp up to 39 after every one of them and sometimes broke out in a rash the nurse said it's babies like her that really need it cause she would have been really really sick if she contracted the deseases they were trying to prevent and I was expecting the same from Kyana and nothing - they are sooooo different if freaks me out!
Well that was my quick post LOL! Gotta go my sister is looking after Shynelle for me so I can relax for abit with Kyana who is peacefully sleeping and DH now wants me to help him install our new gates - GREAT RESTING!!
Take care all!!
xxdd
DD~ I hope you had fun installing the new gates, doesn't sound like resting to me?!
Shine~ I think giving your DH a job is a great idea. I think it is really important for them to have a job they can do that the baby NEEDS THEM for instead of us doing everything. It is good for dad and baby.
Have you got a baby pouch? The other day when William wanted to be cuddled all day I put him in the Baby Bjorn for a few minutes while I did some things and he went straight to sleep. Sleepy enough to then go to sleep in the bassinet. It is the best! Can even put bubs in and still type on BB with 2 hands;)
Natalie~ Thanks I think he is pretty GORGEOUS too
Kat~ Thanks, and yes I am pretty lucky to have a brother that is a photographer.
Enjoy the next 6 weeks with your parents. They must be so happy to finally meet their grandchild.
ME~ Well William is now drinking almost 150ml at each feed, but every 4 hours now. I hope he isn't having too much. I have an appointment at the MHC tomorrow so it will be very interesting to see how much he weighs.
Sarah
Whew just caught up with everything! I've had some computer issues so have been offline for a few days...way too much to remeber to do personals.
In Sam-land things are going well. Caleb has more than made up for his first week home weight loss. He put on 580g in a week which leads me to beleive the scales that the MCHN brought with her home visit may have been dodgy!
I'm having Calebs hands and feet castings done this week. I thouroughly reccomend this to anyone thinking about it. Get over the cost because even when your bubby is a year old they have grown so much. I had the other boys done and I get misty eyed sometimes when I look at them. Especially Masons as he is now a big whopping 5 year old!
DH is back at work today. I'd better get going and have a shower soon (OMG it's 11:30 already!) before things get all feral around here and everyone wants lunch at the same time!
morning... well its almost afternoon but we just got up cause i think lucy was sick of hearing "just 5 more minutes" from me ha ha ha! i really am not a morning person!
Natalie~ im finding the HAB heaps good cause if she just wants to cry all the time what else can i do? the house needs to be cleaned and u cant just sit there and hold them hey? I recon its a great investment!
Kat~ yay 4 ur mum coming!! with the drops I give them to Lucy every bottle and i put them IN her bottle cause she spits them out otherwise! I dont give her the full recomended dose either i give her abut 15drops now I slowly got up to that and she is pooing every second if not everyday so im happy with that cause she doesnt crouch over in a ball like she use to with wind pain!
DD~ I dont know bout Cloxyl never used it but Im finding 'infants friend' is a really good one for Lucy, mayb u should give it a go? ALSO U COW for bein able to not have the injections!!!!!!! im on them for anothe 4 and a half months at the least! I have to go see a haematologist next month to get tests and hopefully plan to get off them unless they find out i have green blood or somethng he he
Sarah~ how did u go at the MHC? did william put on enough weight or to much? would b interested to know as sometimes I swear Lucy wants more than 125mls but I just give her a dummy...then she settles...
WELL I think Im getting my AF CR@PPERS!!!! ive been having pains the last 3days and im NOT HAPPY! AND I cant go on the pill EVER AGAIN!!!! the only reson I went on the pill was casue i had such an aweful AF!!!
mmmm not much else to say xept hope everyone is fine....(((hugs)))
Shine~ Haven't been to hte MHC yet, but I will update on the weight when I get back. Bummer on the AF! I can't even imagine getting it as it has been so long! I have been pg for almost 2 years to get my little William so it is going to be strange to go back to periods!
Sam~ I thnk that the scales were wrong with my home visits also, which is really bad as I thought William wasn't getting enough milk from me which got me all stressed and upset. And because of this I put him on the bottle. And now that I think about it I think the scales were wrong as when he went and got weighed he put on a ridiculous amount of wieght in a matter of days.
I hope you are all well. It is a GORGEOUS day here in Melbourne. Busy doing lots of washing before Williams MHC appointment.
Sarah
Sam
I just checked out Calebs web site. Him and his brothers are all such gorgeous boys.
You should be very proud!
Sarah
Yep just went to the loo and AF is here :( least I can start working out my CD so that i can tell danny not to come near me when I Ovulate! I would hate for a connie to break when I was Oing or something! ha ha ha wouldnt like another temper tantrum red haired baby! not for a while anyways....
Lol Shine.
William is now just under 4 kilos. He is getting so big so quick!
Hi girls and babies!
Thanks for the tips on expressing, i tried again the other day and got 40 mls and then another 40mls, Emilia only wakes once a night and its usually around 4am so i expressed one boob and gave her the other one and she was fine, so i am going to do that express every morning as my boobs are so full by that point cause she only feeds once a night... I LOVE HER FOR IT! And she took the bottle no problems on saturday from DH and he loved it! I am using an electronic pump, i am also freezing the milk now and adding chilled milk to the frozen stuff to make up each feed... i hope that is ok?
Shinee sorry to hear Danny isnt being much help, god knows i dont know what i would do without Damien, he baths her every night and changes her nappies when he is home, he also likes to burp her while i sort my boobs out during the feed.... he is pretty confident around kids though having 11 nieces and nephews he is well and truly familiar around them...
Kat i havent bathed Emilia yet either that is Damien's territory and to be honest i am terrified of doing it myself, i am going to have to though as he is going to go away for work soon i am so scared! argh!
I worry all the time that emilia isnt getting enough food, i check religiously for wet nappies, most of her nappies have a bit of poo in them and probably once or twice a day one big wet poo... she is putting on weight and seems content but i just have this underlying issue with my milk! my boobs arent huge so i worry there is nothing in them!!!
DH and i havent done the deed yet either, but i have stopped bleeding and i think we might give it a go this week! i hope its ok! everything feels ok but nothing has been up there since the birth now so who knows what it feels like up there!
Shinee i am too scared to co sleep, i have tried it once during the day and woke myself up cause my arm fell on her head, i am a deep sleeper.....
Simone how are you enjoying Perth! You are in my home town!!! Where are you staying.. i live in Scarborough right near the beach its so nice! Mind you the weather is quite crap today!!
Hello everyone!
Just came on here quickly to see how you are all doing, my parents arrived Sunday evening and it's been lovely having them here - I swear they came with a whole suitcase of clothes and gifts for Lucas!! he is going to be the best dressed baby around!!! lol.
Danni - glad to hear the expressing is going better and that Emilia took a bottle fine. And what you're doing to store the milk sounds right!!
Sarah - oooh, you're very lucky having a brother as a photographer! they really are beautiful photos.
Sammi - that is great about Caleb's weight gain.
dd - good to see you posting, glad all is okay with you and your girls!
Leah - oh noooo at getting your period!!! that really sucks!!!! :-(
Chat soon,
Kat
xx
Leah bugger about AF :(
Kat sounds to me like Lucas is going to be one well dressed little man!
Danni 80mls is a great amount for Emilia to be getting ATM. Your breasts will only make what she is taking now. It's heaps more comfortable than being engorged but IKWYM about not feeling like you have enough.
Sarah
I was discussing this with a friend on the weekend. I know that feeling of being worried and then to be told your baby has lost weight just shatters your confidence, even for a third time mother.:
Luckily for me Caleb is a poo machine and that was enough for me to keep up the bf till the next visit.
Hi girls just had to come on and brag about my angel, i shouldnt though as who knows next week she could go evil! she seems to be waking once in the early morning around 3:30am (from going down around 10:30) and then up again around 7:30ish.... today she had her feed at 8am and then down till 12 (only cause i woke her for it) and now she has gone down again! i hope she isnt changing her pattern, before she would be awake most of the day (she was awake most of yesterday) and then sleep at night (i so prefer that) so i hope she doenst play up tonight argh!!! is it normal that she is sleeping this much, i cant believe i hear myself saying this, first week she was born all she did was sleep and i worried, then the last 2 weeks she hasnt slept during the day and i was frustrated now first day she has slept and i am worried again, WHAT THE!
Kat how exciting that your parents are here, i hope you are using them wisely and getting some much needed rest?? and yay for clothes! emilia has a set of drawers and half a wardrobe full of clothes, its ridiculous i think she wont even get to wear half of them!
I have a bad cold today (actually it gets better during the day and its worse at night) i really hope Mils doesnt get it, my SIL had her little one get bronchilitis from a common cold she said it happens so quickly, i hope this sleeping business has nothing to do with her possibly coming down with something..... WORRY WORRY WORRY!! Will i never worry again!??? ahah
Hi all,
It's been a little difficult here Kyana seems to be very unsettled most of the time atm and I'm at my wits end trying to work out whats wrong with her she just crys soooo much I've given her Braurers colic relief that didn't work I've given her infants friend and that seems to be doing nothing - I've had her on coloxyl and I just don't know - any of the experienced mums out there got any thoughts I spoke with the MCHN and they just think it's a bit of colic or she's getting Shynelle's cold but she doens't have temp nor does she have a runny nose????? i can't get to the dr's with her atm so I'm just trying to stay calm and work out what it could be naturally - she's having loads of problems doing no.2's but has heaps of wet nappies......
Sorry for no personnals atm....
xxdd
dd - Zain was constipated after he was born. He did a meconium poo and then nothing for about 5 days. Is her tummy hard? Does she pull her legs up close to her tummy when she cries? Are her poos hard? *TMI* warning - I put a little bit of vaseline in his bottom with a cotton wool bud. Only do it if you know she's constipated and its only right at the edge. I mean millimetres. The m/w that comes to the house showed me how to do it with my first and it works.
Also, maybe you could try and give her a top up of water after her feeds - maybe 15 or 20ml of boiled water.
I really don't like how some nurses blame every babies problems on 'colic'.
Also, could she be having a growth spurt? They happen at around 6 weeks and she could need to feed more.
I hope that helps and I will update if I think of anything else. Oh, does she seem unsettled more in the early evening?
Thanks Nat, I have been giving her some water and she was six weeks last thursday
I try to give her as much as milk as she wants but sometimes I struggle to get Kyana to take in 50 mls. I do recall having to do this (the vaseline thing) with Shynelle but Kyana will go with the coloxyl about every third day now but it's very thick and pasty and then she'll do a normal one I'm just not sure that the constipation is what the problem is?? She does pull up her legs and seems more relaxed on her tummy - she is the most unsettled during the day which is what I find weird at night/evenings she's more settled (THANK HEAVENS!!) but every day from the first feed until about 5pm just in time for DH to come home and wonder what my problem is and how come I've not anything during the day (ARRGGHHH!!)....
xxdd
I would copy and paste your first post into the General Baby forum thingy and see what the girls have to say. You'll be bombarded with possible solutions, lol.
Have you tried wrapping her or if you already do that, unwrapping her? I just don't know hun. I fell for you though because it gets so frustrating.
Hi Girls, Firstly Congratulations to all the August Mummy`s
Firstly for those who don`t know about my ordeal, you`ll find it here: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ad.php?t=19940
Adrian is doing extremely well, he`s a big boy on the 97th percentile, just like his Big Brother Matthew, they are both going to tower over Mummy. Adrian was 4180 at birth, so much for having a 7lb baby which I was told I`d be having, he was 55cms long, now at 5 weeks he`s 5810gms and 59cms long. He`s giving us big, big smiles, lots of noises, follows us around. He`s a very content, placid, happy baby which is great since I`m recovery and will be still for the next few months. Breastfeeding is going well, I was told my milk would dry up when I was in hospital with my massive bleed but my body had other ideas, I have so much milk I drown poor Adrian LOL
Adrian seems to have night and day worked out, which worries me a bit as I don`t want AF arriving just yet when he`s sleeping so long at night, AF arrived at 2 months post birth with Matthew which was ok by me then as I wanted to TTC soon after birth.
Please forgive me I haven`t read up on everyone`s news, there`s just too much to catch up with in the last 5 weeks.
Love
Dee
HA SNAP AGAIN!!!! this is getting freakie!!!! Lucy is SOooOooOoo the same restless in the day and as soon as daddy rears his head in the door she is fast asleep ready for a shower and feed and then back to bed again! I told him tonight she is a hand full in the day he was like...surely not!!!:
hope everyone is doing ok... dont really have time for PMs AF has disappered it was very very light so im hopeing she wont b back till a month...fingers crossed... Oh has anyone heard bout the Male pill??? I need a better contraceptive as I get irritaed from condoms...
Oh Hi Dee nice to have you back!
Hey everyone!!
How are the bubs doing?
dd - sorry I have no advice for you (I know nothing!!!) but I do hope Kyana becomes more settled.
Dee - lovely to see you posting again, it sounds like you've been through alot! do hope you are recovering nicely :-)
Danni - babies seem to change their "routines" all the time - well, that's what i've found with Lucas anyway! he can go 2 days of sleeping and feeding the same, then suddenly change on day 3!!!
Amy - haven't seen you posting in a while sweetie, do hope you and Finn are doing well!

Hey where is everyone?!!
Well yesday was a good day and Kyana was settled all day until DH walked in thev door and I said well it's your turn to learn about my life and made him look after both kids with Kyana being unsettled the whole time HEHEHEHE - Well Lee lasted about an hour and a half which was pretty good going before he said "AW Come on this is ridiculas I'm starving can't you at least help until I eat my dinner I've been at work all day" to which my response was I can't even go to the loo during the day sometimes until I'm in pain so I'm sorry if I don't show much sympathy towards you but at least now you know when I say I didn't get a chance to do anything during the day you have an insight into why and I don't wanna hear anything but support cause that's really important. He was really great after that and apologised to me and then I helped him so he could eat his tea and he did the last feed at 9:15pm and the next feed was my turn and she slept until 4:15am YAY!!!!:)
Better go just heard something in the games room where Shynelle is....
Hope everyone is just really busy looking after the extra person in their house!
Hugs all round!!
xxdd
hey everyone
Loving my holiday, the weather is amazing! AND going to watch the Doggies and Eagles play at Subi tomorrow...
DanniK - im in Waikiki, a suburb just south of rockingham.
Anneliese is pooing once a week if she's lucky, dr put her on Coloxyl, and we hope it works, otherwise we're off to the paed to have a look into bowel probs. Mum recommended about 30mls and diluted prune juice in the afternoon, apparently i was the same and it helped me... ATM im willing to try anything!!!
Heeellllllllooooooooooo! Where are you???????????????
Helloooooooo girls!!!!!
Wow, it sure is quiet in here........where is everyone????!!!
dd - ha, isn't it funny how our DH's think we do nothing during the day?! mine certainly doesn't appreciate how much hard work it is.......
Simone - glad to hear you're having a lovely holiday :-)
Lucas had his first big day trip yesterday - we went to the zoo!!! don't think he quite apprecited the giraffes and hippos though, ha ha!!!!!
He is now fully weaned onto formula, and is sleeping better at night - going 5 hours between feeds which is a record for him! here's hoping it gets longer as the time goes on........
Kat

Hi all!
Just grabbing a quick read before it's time for Calebs next feed. Hope you are all coping well :)
Dee I just read about what happened. It must have been frightening for you and DH. Sending some more recovery vibes to add to the pile you must already have from everyone here!
afternoon ladies and bubbies!!!
we just had our check up at the local nurse thingy! and lucy only weighs 3.450kgs :( they said she hasnt put on enough weight and that I need to push an extrra feed in and I was like :o its all my fault!!!!! she doesnt cry inbetween feeds only mayb just after pplay time when i know its sleep time... I feel like a bad mum....
hope ur all ok! apart from that we r doin ok trying to get a routine happining but me not being a very orginised person is struggling with that...I get bored and just want to be outside walking or at the shops...no wonder lucy's playtimes rnt very long she has a short attention span like her mummy.... Im walking an hour everyday and have lost
11kgs since birth! only 9kgs to get back to the weight I was before I was on the pill!! then I will be 50kgs! that would b great! danny said If I get to my goal weight Im allowed to go on a Yoga + surf retreat for a weekend with some friends down the coast! I cant wait cause I Looooovvvveee surfing!!!!! hopefully my stretchies would of faded by then and Ill be able to do the bikini thing! most of them have already gone thank goodness!! (I got them a week before I gave birth! HA!)
well enuff of my jabbering.... BYE!
Leah just wondering if you told the nurse about adding extra water to the formula? She may be not getting enough from it as she wasn't finishing the bottle. Stop diluting it and see it that helps.
Just a thought that's all...
Hi Girls!
Hope everyone had a good weekend! DD good on you for giving DH a taste of your daily activities! It is full on huh! Especially at that evil hour during the evening! Emilia spends from 6 - 9 pm in the Baby bjorn its the only place she will stay quite and possibly sleep (or if you hold her!)
Leah dont worry you arent a bad mum you are just learning! She will be just fine, and good luck getting back to your pre preg weight i hope you get that weekend away. how good will it be! I pretty much returned to pre preg weight 3 days after birth, i only put weight on in my middle and it seemed to be all baby so i am happy about that, i just want to make sure now that i dont add any on! I would like to lose 5 kgs as i felt i was carrying a tiny bit of weight before i got pg, but i just cant stop eating now that i am breast feeding! its hungry work!!
Simone glad to hear you are enjoying perth! The weather has been amazing lately though today is a bit crappy, have dry the clothes in the dryer today :(
I am heading over to my friends now she has a little bub called Mia and she is 1 week younger than Emilia. we have started our own little mothers group with a few of us who did pregnancy swimming together which is great!
We went out on saturday night for the first time and my parents looked after Emilia, she took 130 mls of breast milk! little porker! and she slept through till 4am!!! love her love her! Last night i tried her in the grobag sleeping bag and she was great she didnt wake till 5 am! so i am not going to bother wrapping her anymore as i think she prefers the bag!
Glad to hear all is going ok in your baby worlds!!!
Wow I logged in here thinking there will be a mile of posts to catch up on, thankfully for me there aren`t many, with 2 little ones I don`t know if I`m coming or going then with all 4 boys here all weekend I`m well and truly totally disorganised LOL How do you girls do it all with more then 1 child? Will I ever be organised? I`m dreading the school hoildays with all 4 boys here and all the washing, I`ve already told both DSS that they can wear their clothes 3 days in a row (joking!!!!).
Danik - Sounds like Emilia is doing well and also sleeping well, which is great.
Leah - You`ll loose those extra kilos in no time, I was worried about my extra weight with Matthew but lost it all by the time I was pregnant again at 5.5 months post birth, this time round is a different story, I lost all my weight immediately as I was all baby. I can`t help with the formula feeding and how to get more into her as I`ve only ever BF but I`m sure she`s fine and is doing everything her way in regards to weight.
Thanks Sammi - the girls on BB have been fantastic.
Kat - Wow at Lucas`s first trip to the zoo.
DD - Sounds like it`s all go at your house.
Adrian is doing well, he`s sleeping between 5 - 6 hours at night now, then has another sleep of approx 4 hours, by then it`s about 6/7am that`s good in one way but in another I think AF is arriving  not happy Jan, why can some women go months without AF yet here I fully breastfeed my babies and still get it within 2 months.
Hope your all well.
Take Care
Dee
Hey mummies and babies!
Dee - great to see you on posting, I feel disorganised with just Lucas, so I can imagine how hard it'd be with 4!!
Danni - yay at Emilia sleeping so well and taking your EBM, it must have been nice for you to get out for the evening.
Leah - don't ever feel like a bad mum!! what did Lucy weigh when she was born? how many feeds is she having per day?
Sammi - hello! how is Caleb getting on?
Hello to Nat, Amy, Simone, dd, Sarah.....who have I missed?!!
Lucas is asleep just now, I think we are maybe, just maybe getting into some sort of routine which is great! won't say anything else as knowing him he'll go and change on me!
Oh, a question for those formula feeding their babies, at some feeds Lucas will take more than 120ml (which is what he is meant to get for his age going by the formula tin) - he'll drink a full 60ml more, but it seems to be only at certain feeds - I presume it is okay to give him more?! sounds silly, but I now worry i'm over feeding him!! he is now over 6 weeks old, and at 2 months the formula tin says to give him 180ml, so he's not too far off getting that much anyway......
Kat
xx
Hey
Sammi - Yeah I told them and they said its fine. she was the one who suggested it. she is actually finishing the bottles now still chucking up a bit of it too it says on the formula tin to give 60mls water to one scoop and im doing that just adding an extra 5mls of water for the constipation... thanks for the advice...
Kat - some babies are just hungrier than others if he is drinking it should be fine... just call the clinic if ur really worried but i spose its better for them to be full rather than hungry!
dannik - DONT WANNA HEAR that!!!! I cant believe ur back into shape!!! COW he he he Just kidding
