Hi everyone, and welcome Mollygirl! Another bub on 3/8 ! My little Milla is the youngest of the bunch here still...!
She had her 4 month injections on the 28th, and was soooo brave - only cried for a few seconds, and didn't even need a bb afterwards. Was a bit grizzly for the last two days though, so I think she must be feeling a bit yukky from it. She has two big bruises this time, so I think they really jabbed her pretty hard..
At 4 months she was:
6.6kg
60cm
HC: 40
She is still rolling around all over the place in her cot, and we've just had to leave her sleeping on her belly if that's where she settles - she has such good head control, I'm not too stressed. I tuck her in at the bottom of the cot, and she wears a light sleeping bag if its too hot. I'm going to try making another summery sleeping bag, cause they are hard to find in the shops, and they are very pricey...
Kim and Mollygirl - I'm with you - still lots of night time feeds here. I really really don't mind doing one feed, but two or three is too much... I want to get her back to one feed, but at 4am, the last thing on my mind is that, and I always just give her a quick feed - she goes straight back to sleep then. We have a MCHN appt on Wednesday, so I might talk to them about maybe giving her some bottled water ... has anyone else done that yet with their BF baby?
STILL got the ILs here... its been one month, and still got one month to go (minus a week, cause they are off to NZ for a week on the 2nd Jan, wooooo hoooooo!) I can't wait to have my house back to myself, but I must admit it is nice to have constant babysitters, and MIL always does all the dishes and laundry... I'm very lazy these days...
We have no plans for tonight - DH is going to make his famous home-made pizzas for dinner (he gets all Jamie Oliver and makes his own dough, lets it rise for three hours etc... its very cute) We'll no doubt be eating dinner at 11pm..! We're just going to stay home and have a few drinks (I have EBM in the fridge... very organised of me, but I probably wont drink much anyway, since its just us and the ILs at home :( )
Hope you all have a more exciting night!
Cheerio! Mwah ! x

Kim FYI, that 12 year old was a troller and has been deleted. a troller is some one who makes up a story to be hurtful or a nuicance and has been banned from BB.
Hi Molly!
I have had people assume I am at least 28 when I am in mummy circles. it is funny to watch their jaws drop when i do tell my age!
Hayden is looking so grown up! Em is getting really close to rolling now too.
Em has roseola virus. it is not serious but has a rash and she has been a bit off her food :(. Drs are not concerned and said to worry if she wont take any bottle. Saw 1 of the nurses she had when she was in for FTT and she was happy to see her so chubby!
There is a photo of the girls in the gallery that is really good and shows off Em's double chin.
Well, I plan to sleep the new year in!

Hi all, seems I have some catch up to do in here, have been slack 'cause dh is home and I have stuff to do while xavier is asleep.
Campari, can't help with the rolling, but we haven't wraped xavier since he was 6 weeks old and he rubs his face etc and it stops him from falling asleep. sometimes I have to hold my arm between his face and arms so he hits me instead but most of the time if I sit on the floor beside his cot and let him stroke, tap or hold my hand with one of his he drifts off and is fine from that point on.
I have offered water to xavier yet as he despises the taste of it he really just plays with it a little, which keeps him quite for a minute so I keep some on hand now as it saves my sanity sometimes. I have switched to a sippy cup though so he doesn't start playing around when he gets ebm
Ali, we too took some time to get cleaned up after xmas with the toys. Duplo is a toy I consider one of the good ones, fits the good criteria of no batteries, kids like it, it lasts a long time (if not lost ) and it lets them be creative on their own. How fantastic that em is wanting more food, you'll be counting the rolls in no time.
Misty, Xavier isn't overly fond of my inlaws either tee hee, but he's getting better. Sometimes they get cranky 'cause there is too much going on and it's all too overwhelming. MIL's, hell all grandparents, are convinced that babies are teething the minute they make a grumpy noise, has nothing to do at all with the fact they have been awake for 2 hours already and they are constantly stimulating them when they need to calm down and sleep. The pillow I would be trying to re-train her sleeps without the pillow, but that's me. I think it can take up to 2 weeks to change sleep patterns/routines so you would expect to have a bit of a hard slog on your hands, but Ali made a good point about if she couldn't get under it, is it so slim it might fit under the sheet?? iykwim. With you drinking alcohol I've always been told to dump the next feed, not sure if you need to do more than that or not, you should be able to find info in the feeding threads about alcohol.
feeding, Xavier feeds anywhere from 3-5 hourly, and used to go a 10 hour stint at night, however over the last couple of weeks he has started waking in the night and also going to bed much later. Still unsure if he's just needing more or if it's heat related as we don't have very good insulation or cooling, it could be either as he's 5 months this week eek.
Sonia, pmsl at swinging legs out the side of the cot, I'm guessing it might have been accompanied by a cheekylittle smile.
Kim, I'm a little paranoid about sids too especially since I was talking to one of the dads in the live chat his family lost their little girl at 10 months from sids, although I always keep a spare dummy at the top of his cot, 'cause I figure that's no different to if he had it in his mouth. Besides I think that having things in Xaviers cot would distract my little darling sticky beak from sleeping :)
HI molly, welcome your DD was born the same day as Xavier, I think that is 3 or 4 of the bubs now born on the 3rd. Xavier has started some simialr behaviour although at night I think the smallest gap has been 6 hours, I think he's just telling me he's either getting hungrier or it's hot and his thirsty. Also breast fed here. Xavier does really like to suck on his hands, however I think it keeps him awake so I give him a dummy. All docs and nurses have varying oppinions on hands v dummies and they all make some good and bad points, i think you just need to listen to them and then do what's best for your bub, your the mum, you know best.
I can't believe it when people make up stories like that, it makes it so much harder for people who legitametley want people's support.
Ali, I just checked out your pic, you have a brand new baby girl complete with chins, how cute. Hope she shakes the virus soon.
Campari your Santa pics are gorgeous the second one would look fantastic framed.
Well us, it's been a long couple of weeks, and it's all going to come to a close very soon. Xavier starts childcare this wednesday (some short days this week) and then I'm back at work full time next week so my life as a SAHM will be over (until next time)
Happy new year everyone!!!

Hi ladies,
It's been a VERY long time since i have been here. i had even forgotten my password and have been trying to log on since yesterday!
Wishing all of you a very happy new year filled with laughter, joy and most importantly good health.
Ela is now 5 months today! She has a tooth already, it came through about 3 weeks ago, it is so cute.
She is still booby fed, and has begun solids 2-3 days ago as she started showing signs of food readyness. i give her 3 very small meals a day, approx. 1 teaspoon each time and is then booby fed. We only do one night time feed, geez some of you girls doing 2-3 feeds per night, that must be tough.
I have been very busy lately, started work part time, Devrim is on school holidays so i have been trying to entertain him, taking him places and all. I took Ela and Devrim to the local pools yesterday and Ela just loved it. We had bought her a baby seat and every now and then she would get all excited and kick about as if she was about to swim. Has or is anyone thinking of or taking bubs to swim classes? I want to, but i am unsure of what age to start her.
Great to see everyone is doing just fine!
Take care

Emma is booked in to start swimming lessons in February. Glad 2 hear Ela is doing well.

kim - belated birthday wishes kim!!! hope u had fun. :) i know what u mean abt moving bub. i thought it was going to be tough but the earlier u move them the easier it will be for hayden to get used to it. i think the best would be to put him in the cot when he's falling asleep so he doesn't realise. i had to move ella coz she was getting to long for the bassinet n that was more than a month ago so she didnt realise anything! lol =P
mollygirl - hi molly!! welcome. :) never to lateto join the group. well, most bubs are doing all those stuff but not mine! =P she's taking her own sweet time n i aint complaining. hehehe....nice to have the baby-ness for a little longer but i dont think it will be for long. abt the feeding - i think it sounds abt the same for ella too so we must be doing something right! :D perhaps a growth spurt? anyway. ella sucks her thimb when she goes to sleep n at first i was not happy abt it until i realised that its just her way of self soothing n makes life easier for me too! i dont have to run to n fro to give her the dummy.
sonia : haha...that's funny - driveby rollovers! =P
campari : i give her water every now n then but most of the time she wont take it. but even a few sips will do with the hot weather. i was told that bm will chage with the weather so it's not really necessary...just try it, i dont think it would hurt. :) as fro drinies...i made sure i ebm first this time. dont want a seedy baby anymore!!! =P
sehra : hi sehra!! wb. :) wow, one tooth already. so cute!! was she all whiney n grumpy n all that as the teething was happening?
o well, happ ynew year ladies!!! by the way, we didnt go to the park....ella slept thru all the bangs n booms of the fireworks!! so we just stayed home n watched the fireworks on telly.

Hi girls!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!
Just poppin in quickly to say hi. Welcome to Molly - My DD Colby is also born on the 3'rd. Born 2.44pm weighing 9lbs 7oz and 53cm. Whats you little girls stats???
We all good. Had an ok chrissy and not so ok NY's. Long story!
Girls are both good.
Lots of rollling for Colby. All around the lounge room in fact. She can also sit on her own for a little bit. No teeth though. I do suspect they are'nt far away though. Lots of gumming and dribbling. I have also been giving her rice cereal mixed with some tin apples. A few weeks ago i tried it too and she still had the sucking reflex so i gave it a miss for a while. Tried her again yesterday and was greeted with a wide open mouth for the spoon! Lots of laughing and giggling. Just a beautiful happy baby all round.
Hi too you all. Happy 5 months to Ela! I can't believe our babies are going to be 5 months this month already!! Time just goes so quick!
Hope you are all well. I will be back for personals in the next couple of days.
Take Care!

Hi Ladies,
Ela wasn't grumpy or anything like that whilst teething her first tooth. She had and still has lotsssss of dribble. I change bibs like 5 times a day, she has that much dribble!
Does anyone's bub want to just get up? Ela uses her elbows to support herself up, once she was lying down, head on a pillow and she used her elbows to get upright. I swear this bub is going to be walking by 9 months! Ela is turning but not quite rolling as yet.
Sara - great to see Colby is feeding well too. Yesterday, i gave Ela some mashed food rather than pureed and she took that rather well too.
Take care all
