hhmm.....i've just finished my feed with ella. i personally dont think it's totally drained so i should pump it all out? i'm just afraid that if i drain it all, my body might think that ella wants more n hence, the extra milk which means MORE engorging....? or am i just paranoid??? :P

    Hi

    Mistyeiz,

I am too paranoid to have xavier in bed with us, but sometimes have him sleep on hubby's side (when he's left for work) so i can get a few more minutes shut eye in the morning. I have fed while lying down, and if you get in the right position it can be good. Good for your nipples too, to change positions

Sometimes I have felt a little engorged after he has had a long sleep, and often I start leaking too. It is, you will be happy to know becoming less and less though, 'cause yay we are at 6 weeks today. What I did was "favor" to a certain extent the engorged one. like every second time if that makes sense, but not for ever, just to help settle it down. I've also expressed just enough to get rid of that tight feeling eg 20ml. And massage is sometimes helpful, or just letting them drip on a towel sounds grose I know but can just give you that little relief.

If you do finish a feed and you don't think it's totally drained, make sure you start on that side next time and your body will start working it out.

Happy six weeks old to colby sara. and was there some one else born on the 3rd, I can't remember
